Rooms very comfy, meals are accommodated at the RSL next door which is very bland for an evening meal, though breakfast in safe venue is respectable.

I can’t fault this place. We booked a king size apartment. It was clean and spacious with plenty of natural light, excellent sound proofing and split into two separate rooms so I could watch the World Cup in the wee hours while the family slept next door. Loved the large bathroom too. Great value and would definitely return.

The stay was great, the staff were very helpful and friendly and the rooms clean and well presented. The room we initially got had a smell to it but the staff did their utmost best and got us another room, no questions asked even on a busy night.

Facilities and accommodation is quite new here, it’s supposed to be decorated recently, clean and tidy. Location is not bad, 3 mins drive to town center but the main entrance is not easy to get access.

If you have kids and are planning to use the "indoor pool" take note, children are not allowed to use the pool even swimming with an adult outside of the swimming lessons (very short time per day) This isn't mentioned anywhere that I could find and it honestly felt like false advertising. Apart from that, staff were very helpful and the included breakfast was great.

A pleasant experience. Avoid booking with a third party company and pay them directly to get the free continental breakfast.

Had a wonderful time. Spent 4 days and 3 nights there during the Xmas period and it was a delightful experience. The staff are very polite and very professional at the same time. Service was outstanding and I recommend anyone travelling though Newcastle looking for someone to stay.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Room of a good standard, though nothing pops out as 'wow'. Location is the biggest negative, as it's located in the middle of an industrial area. Other than that, cannot fault Gateway Inn.

Best hotel in Newcastle hands down. 5 star service and amazing clean rooms. The restaurant is divine, free parking and a cheap mini bar. Oh and the beds are so comfy!

Great food, great accomodation. We only stayed the night but we wish it could have been longer.

I've stayed there twice now. The hotel was chosen by my company as I had to stay overnight for business both times, and was very impressed and only very minor, small things let it down. That said the staff are great, the food is wonderful and the accommodation itself is very well presented and I've always enjoyed the rooms I've had.

Room looks good but kitvhen was a bit dodgy. The electricity stopped a few times, the krttle was rusty, the fridge turns on and off but the service was good.

Very unhappy with this hotel, you can hear through the interconnecting doors (which are in every room) we had someones screaming children wake us at 5am, even when we had selected "i would like a quiet room" this was far from what we got, terrible attitudes from the managers with no empathy (we were stopping through newcastle on our honeymoon) not couple friendly at all, I do not recommend this place to anyone.
