Possibly the best food and service I’ve had in a regional hotel. Good selection of beers and the food was spot on.

We would like to thank all the staff of the restaurant for the beautiful and attentive service we received last night, celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. Our meal was exquisite, the atmosphere was lovely and your generosity greatly appreciated.

Expensive for the quality of food. Recommend the tapas bar. Is a worthwhile experience and top of the pile for dining in Armidale.

As the name implies, quality all round. Great staff, rooms are excellent and the food just as good. Definitely a repeat customer!

Had the best nights sleep. Stayed in a family room with kids sleeping in separate bedroom. No noise from outside. Loved the added bonus as the free coffee pods n robes. Very comfortable will stay again.

Probably the best hotel in Armidale. Nice rooms, Very clean with a good restaurant. I'd have given it five stars if the gym were a little better equipped but it's the best in town so just go there ok?

Great service and rooms. The hotel also has a lovely restaurant so you don't have to go far for some good quality food, otherwise I'd hit Whitebull for some great steak. My room was right by the road so I could hear traffic from the main street but hopefully that's not the case if you're located further away. This should be in your top 5 if you're looking for the best stays in Armidale.

The room was very well appointed, the check-in/check-out process was very easy and the staff were exceptional helpful. Over all a great place to visit and stay at for a while. Very comfortable.

Location is great, room was cosy and clean. The internet connection is terrible, could barely use it at all, so not ideal for working.

A comfortable and convenient location that has all the basics for a short stay. The breakfast menu was a bit confusing as it was unclear what was included in meal sets. I would have preffered to pay one price for a buffet. Rooms were quiet and had air con.

This restaurant has great bar to start in that serves tapas and a wide range of cool drinks. You then move into the main restaurant which is quite formal and nicely appointed. There are plenty of staff who are well trained and the service is good. The menus extensive and I found my lamb delicious. Heading back again soon.

Very nice accomodation. Restaraunt is pricy but very classy and delicious! Great for a night out.

Went for business, but took the family. Love this hotel! Could not fault the staff, the room, or the meals. Nothing was too much trouble. Possibly the best room service meal we've ever had. We utilised their washing machine, and the free gym which was very clean and well equipped. Definitely going back.

Absolutely stunning and the food was amazing, on the high end as far as cost goes but you definatley get what you pay for and the service was impeccable.

So glad to arrive here after a very long road trip. The staff were really great, lovely guy on reception, the room was excellent. I'm claustrophobic and was worried, but we had an Exec Spa 1 bedroom, big windows, lovely furnishings, coffee pod machine, what a treat! Dining room staff and chef and Manager thank you for a lovely allergy free meal. Big bathroom, great shower and spaalso free washing machine and dryer for guests, would stay here again, wonderful customer service for guests.

Lovely rooms with an old world feel. Pod coffee machines in room and dessert to die for.

Armidale Power House Hotel. We had a top rated room which we found rather cramped. The bathroom was tiny. The Shower was very disappointing to say the least. We did manage to have a shower of sorts after a time. The Restaurant though was excellent. The service couldn't be faulted the food quality and presentation was very good. We would not stay in the rooms again. We had the Top Priced Room what would a Standard Room be like? The Room is not 4 1/2 star quality and so was overpriced. We are extensive travellers in Australia and overseas. But the Restaurant comes with a high recommendation!

I recently attended a work function with my colleagues. I highly recommend their conference room. Great facilities! The two course dinner of crispy pork belly entree and roasted beef main was delicious.

Came for a work conference, very happy — lovely decor, the restaurant is truly ethereal. Very professional staff.

I only got to stay one night but it was an amazing night. My partner and I spent a early one year anniversary here, fantastic bed the was heaven where you sink into the mattress like you are sleep on a cloud. I love the shower. I didn't want to leave it. All in all great experience and can't wait to stay again! Will be booking again soon. Don't know what for but will probably make up a special occasion just so we can stay!

Took our parents here for their birthdays. Service was great and the food was amazing. The slow cooked shoulder is simply a cannot miss item on the menu.

The Quality Powerhouse Armidale is still the best place I've ever stayed in Armidale, Located a short distance from the center of town on a quite road making it very easy to find and has 24hr reception. The rooms range from Queen suit, 1 bedroom business suits, Spa suits, family rooms and I believe there is also a 3/4 bedroom cottage. All the rooms are very quiet with easy parking ive stayed here 3 times in the last 12 months in there queen suit, they have always been extremely clean and tidy, the bed is very comfortable and the room has loads of storage with full wardrobe, masive dresser, a footlocker, the bathroom is amazing with heated floor and the best shower ive ever seen, the room also has a desk, large TV, safe, small fridge, microwave and coffee machine, everything you need really. There is a bar and full restaurant on site both of which I've been to and would recommend to everyone, the food is amazing both breakfast and dinner where some of the best meals ive had with a great atmosphere while being nice and quiet. The service I received from all the staff was so friendly and polite from reception to those working in the restaurant and house keeping I can't say enough good things about them Still the best and only place to stay in Armidale.

Stayed here for a graduation ceremony. Was greeted by friendly staff who were polite and friendly in the face of my tired grumbles. The rooms are just as nice as the photos, which was relieving and the beds are very comfy. Plenty of storage space in the room for bags etc. They have a small gym which is good for basic workouts and has a good A/C. The restaurant and bar are surprisingly stylish for a New England country city, felt like I was drinking in a speak easy. All round we were pleased with this Armidalian gem.

Our family recently visited the restaurant within the Powerhouse Motel and were sooo disappointed with the whole experience. We started by going to reception and were told the restaurant was at the bottom of a flight of stairs with no other access than to go back outside and around the building to the back of the complex. Our mother has a walking disability! As our table was booked and the number of people was quoted upon making the reservation, we were a bit baffled by the uncertainty that followed when we asked for our table. To start the evening the waiter came to the table and rattled off the specials (there were about eight) they were not written anywhere, and no prices were quoted, until my brother asked. Next our entrees were all the same and were very mediocre. This is supposed to be an a la carte' restaurant?. Next out came our mains. Our mother had ordered an entree size main, and there was two more of the same meal ordered in a main size. For $10 more you would have thought the main size would have been larger than the entree size, but NO, they were the same size! To add to this disappointment, when the mains arrived, the entree plates were not cleared from the table prior, and there was no attempt by the staff to do so, it was up to us to clear the entree plates so the mains could be placed down.

I recently stayed at the Powerhouse for 2 nights and was told that it's the best motel in Armidale. I was unfortunately checked into Rm 149 which is the first room on the ground floor next to reception. The room is next to some sort of generator/machine room or the laundry and was extremely noisy. When I complained to the reception the guy behind the counter couldn’t have been less helpful, it was a real inconvenience for him. He never apologised but said he would find the key and go down and manually turn 'the thing off'. This was at 7pm at night and he told me it was on a timer from 8am to 8pm. The following night I got home from dinner at 8.30pm and the machine was still roaring so I had to ring reception again. Despite turning the machine off both nights I could still hear a loud buzzing coming through the walls. Dinner was more expensive than I have paid at top restaurants in Sydney and it was not that good. My main cost $39.50 and consisted of 6 small strips of lamb on a smear, and I mean smear of baba ganoush with six dried apricots placed around the meal. That was it! I ordered a side of green beans for $8 which was also a very small serve and the sparkling mineral water was $7. The room’s decor was dated. Their web page said every room had an iPod speaker so you could recharge which my room didn’t have.

Price performance is not quite. Rooms a bit dated. I think, 3 to 4 stars are enough.

I felt ripped off! Very expensive for rooms that have been 'tarted up'. They charged me an additional amount just for paying on credit card. The restaurant was very over priced for what you got. The entire stay felt like I was at another franchise. Will stay somewhere else next time for sure.

I recently had to travel to Armidale for business. Not knowing the local area and where to stay I used Google Maps and read the reviews on each accommodation house. I chose The Quality Power House at Armidale based on the reviews. All the reviews lived up to their glowing reports. The Staff were friendly and accommodating, the rooms were excellent and the restaurant food was outstanding. The wireless Internet was easy to connect to and performed extremely well.
