Lovely newly refurbished rooms within walking distance to the centre of town.

I found this place at the very last minute on my brief trip to Armidale. Peter was very accomodating and the room was not what I was expecting. Freshly renovated to a great standard and styled to perfection. I would highly recommend to anybody needing a place to stay in Armidale.

Amazing communication and our family would definitely be staying here on our next trip to Armidale!

Air con didn't work. Could not sleep due to the heat.

Excellent service friendly staff our room was so clean and well equipped with all the comforts of home, our room had the spa it was so relaxing after the long road trip we were on we’ll be back.

Clean and tidy, but dated decor means it needs a renovation refresh to be functionally comfortable. Needs Split system Reverse cycle Air Conditioning to make rooms comfortably warm. Needs new Flat screen TVs and to be wall mounted for comfortable viewing. Vanity mirror doesn’t extend to standing height for average male. Shower screens could be modernised to glass for hygiene. Wi-Fi internet signal was intermittently not functioning — travellers need this for journey planning. Just some constructive suggestions to restore the good reputation Country Comfort chain once had.

Decent sized rooms. Very close to all amenities. Comfy beds. Some of the room features are a little dated, but a good value place overall.

Pretty decent basic accommodation. The room was big and had everything you needed. Good location, can walk to shops/restaurants/ town etc. The negatives were the air conditioning which didn't seem to work properly for heating, leaving the room quite cold most of the time and the poor cleaning of the bathroom, it was dirty on my arrival.

This has to be the worst motel we've stayed at in a very long time, and we paid $180/night for 3 nights for the privilege (UNE graduation time). We complained 3 times about the grey-looking towels (incl bathmat, hand towels and face washer) before we were provided with slightly better ones (they kept bringing the same stuff! ). They were so frayed and worn out that they would be classified as rags in our home, And the reason given was, that was all there was! We also came back from a day's outing to find the bed had been made by literally tossing the pillows by the bedhead, while the sheets and blanket were roughly tucked in. Breakfast time and we had to ask for bowls and spoons, as there were no cutlery, glasses or plates provided for meals. There is a microwave though. Overall, we are never going back to this place again or book with any Country Comfort motel in the future. This experience showed to us what they thought of their guests. It was not a pleasant feeling, and we felt ripped off.

For the weiry traveler looking for comfortable bed and hot shower at a reasonable price then it's fine. Location is brilliant and a real bonus. We came in late and left early so not much more I can add.

Great spot to rest for the night. I have stayed here several times for work and Adrian and his team have always been helpful.
Very short walk down to the town for dinner.

Good sized room, close to the centre of town, easy to find and quiet. The only downer being no cooked breakfast, unexpected circumstances over the weekend (not the Tamworth festival which was on at the same time? ), and the cable under the sheets for the heated mattress cover. Mind you the free washing machine was a plus …

Room was comfortable. They forgot to make our breakfast which was disappointing.

Stayed for 4 days the service was outstanding the staff were very friendly and went out of their way to accommodate us the meals were very fresh and delicious rooms were nice as well I can recommend them to all my friends and family next time we go to Armidale.

Staff are extremely friendly and helpful, they gave me information about the area and where to go. Rooms were clean and good water pressure for the shower. Would stay again.

Great friendly service, the hot breakfast was spectacular especially the poached eggs. Located in the heart of Armidale and will definitely stay here again.

Clean and tidy plus central location make this place an obvious choice when selecting Armidale for overnight accommodation. Manager is cheerful and helpful.

Convenient location, friendly staff. Slightly expensive but we paid so we had the benefit of spa room we were familiar with, shame the spa didn't work. Then today we got a call that we left a ring in our room. Wasnt ours so made us wonder how clean the room was.

Tired rooms, shabby furniture, linen at the end of its shelf life. Cheap but not cheerful.

The worst hotel experience of my life. The room was disgustingly dirty, like it hadn't been vacuumed in months. The room stank. Dirty tissues under the bed. The room was old and hadn't been updated in 50 years. The room was expensive. When we told the manager that the room stank and was not cleaned, he came up with a can of air freshener. He told us that because it was a public holiday that we had to pay the same price as a renovated room. The manager was rude and arrogant and needs a schooling in customer service. We felt ripped off and we will definitely not stay in this motel ever again. We were disgusted. One star is generous.

From late July through to the middle of September my father, son and I travelled from near Tenterfield to Armidale every second day. Although from Sydney my 91 year-old ex-serviceman father and 85 year-old mother had been at the old house where my father was born when it was apparent my mother was quite ill. In Armidale hospital the surgeons performed an emergency bowel cancer operation. For seven weeks we spent every day in Armidale, one day travelling 200 k's north, the next 200 k's south back to visit Mum. During this difficult time we stayed at the Country Comfort Inn at Armidale. The care and attention we received from Adrian and Danielle could not have been better. It was a difficult time for us but made so much easier by staying with hosts that treated us so kindly and compassionately. During 7 weeks we joked that it became our home away from home. Adrian and Danielle are great examples of the kind people we encountered in our time at Armidale.

Looks good from the outside, got a $98 room, TV was good, clear reception. Bathroom, mold growing around base of shower screen, towels a bit old. Bed has nice big sag in it but was ok if you slept in middle. Carpet was dirty and worn. Staff were friendly and nice. Did not try the restaurant as the room put me off. Personally it should be a budget $80 room.

Old motel. Remember it 30 years ago. Need a revamp but for the price represents pretty good value Lots of positives. Nice staff. Restaurant. Location.
