Room was comfortable and functional but a bit dated wasn't particularly quiet and could not acheive blackout with front curtains.

Basic rooms but clean, and beds showers good. Easy to access and under-cover parking out front of room — very handy. Shops and Thai restaurant next door in shopping centre. Perfect for late arrival and early leave.

We were very disappointed at the condition of the unit the fan in the bathroom was very dusty and in bad condition the icebox in the fridge was extremely iced up and no door on it we have stayed here a few times but this time our room was not the best. Staff great bed great price good. Ceiling fan switch faulty.

Overnight stay whilst attending a wedding. Parking spot is a bit tight but room was clean and comfortable. The best fish & chips very close by.

Lovely budget motel located across the road from the iconic Big Prawn. Lovely clean rooms with comfy beds and pillows. There are air con and heater facilities with microwave and mini bar fridge. The room we stayed in was the queen suite. Would recommend for a stop over or long weekend. The owners are lovely and very accommodating and more than happy to help! We will continue to keep coming back.

Ok place for a day or two. Found couple of cockroaches in the room, otherwise it was fine. Location is great.

While this is an older style motel everything is very clean, price is good, beds are comfy, just great all motel handy to most things in Ballina!

Leisure-Lee Holiday Apartments is way better than this dump.

Good one night stop over. Older looking motel from outside. Nicely presented room with just the basics. Only two minor thing's to report. Air con unit needs cleaning and some bathroom supplys needed filling up.

I had a wonderful stay here recently,, the room was very roomy & comfy, staff made me very Welcome & they are very friendly… the Motel is Handy to Town, the Tavern is right next door with the Best Steaks I have ever eaten. Breakfast at the Motel was Great,,, Large serving & very reasonable priced. I will defiantly be staying here next time I am in Ballina.

Being a truck driver and staying in countless motels all round Australia when I come into Ballina it's always a welcome relief to see the chapparel, mick and kylie go way out of their way to make sure all your needs are catered for, way above average rooms and believe me I've seen a lot, and the shower is to die for after a long day on the road, give it a try you will not be disappointed.

Stayed here for two nights and enjoyed it thoroughly. The rooms are very clean and well presented with artwork on the walls and what looks like some fresh paint. The beds were typical motel fare but were comfortable. The heater was small but very effective in heating up the room completely dispelling the thought that the Winter night would be to cold without additional blankets. Plenty of hot water in the shower and the LCD TV provided a selection of Foxtel channels to watch. The staff were VERY friendly and accommodating. They even recommended us some good local places to dine at and visit. We had the in-room breakfast which was very good (made by the owners). A couple of minor details in the orders were mixed up but quickly rectified. There's a pool that we didn't use due to the current season, and there is a dedicated parking spot for each room under cover. Next door there's a tavern for dinner, a bottle shop, a BP servo and across the road is the new local Bunnings for which we enjoyed a fireworks display as it was their opening night. Despite being on the main road, we found the rooms surprisingly quiet with only louder sounds like the blip from a police siren being able to penetrate. The prices were good and we will definitely consider staying here again.

We just recently stayed hear also just over 2 weeks ago, we were pleasantly surprised, going by the photos on line, the rooms were nothing like them, the ones we stayed in were fresh very clean ect, after talking to the managers we found out that they have only been there since feb and have been doing major cleaning, painting ect, we had a lovely double room that had just been freshly painted, new bedspreads ect, and also was a real bargain, yes it;s on the main road but we really did not find it a problem, also being strangers to the area we could not have had nicer mangers, def will go back again really reccomend for familys to.
