A wonderful place to stay. You really couldn’t ask for a place more accommodating. The owners went out of there way to look after their guests.

Rob and Jen have been fantastic. Made our holiday a relaxed and enjoyable experience. When we had to go into home quarantine they went beyond what was required and supported us in our time of need. Jen even went out and got takeaway for us! We can't speak more highly of these guys and their accommodation has a great relaxed location near the beach. Tony, Lisa and Reid.

Highly recommend this resort! The owners were absolutely lovely and very accommodating. The amount of consideration they had for us and my little girl was incredible. We have stayed in many different places but the service we received here was hands down the absolute best. The rooms are very clean and modern.
You can tell they take pride in maintaining the resort. The pool, outdoor garden and BBQ area is a little bit of paradise on its own. We will be staying here each time we travel to Magnetic Island. Thank you! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Highly recommend Tropical palms 4x4 car hire! Rob was very friendly and accommodating. We rang very last minute to hire a car and Rob went above and beyond. We were met at the ferry terminal to collect our car and dropped back to the ferry terminal when ready. Will definitely be hiring when we visit next time.

Beautiful, clean, great location, excellent value for money, close to a great pub and restaurants awesome welcoming hosts. 4 days wasnt long enough.

We stayed for about 2 months at Tropical Palms, living the dream life.
They have everything you would be looking for, clean rooms with kitchen and bathroom, pool right next to it for the first jump of the day, beach and jetty 100m away for fishing and swimming. The garden carries such a cocooning vibe that makes every meal even more enjoyable.
The location of Tropical Palms is perfect to go see the sunrise and the sunsets from the most beautiful lookouts of the island.
The motel is the reflection of the owners; they're the nicest, warmest, most welcoming people and always help you with anything you would need during your stay.
This motel is the perfect place to spend some unforgettable time as a couple.
The island has diverse activities such as hiking, snorkeling, koala sightings, feeding wallabies, magnificent beaches where you can see the Australian continent. Kayaking, bird feeding and many more… We've been here for 2 months and still haven't seen everything that this island has to offer.
We greatly recommend staying at Tropical Palms and meeting the owners as we have no doubt you will spend the most amazing time.

Our family had a wonderful stay over the Christmas period. The accomodation was great, location was ideal, beach is a stones throw away and Rob and Jen were fantastic hosts. We would highly recommend Tropical Palms to anyone looking for an island getaway.

Hired a car here for our short stay on Magnetic Island. Staff were extremely helpful and informative. Car was good and exactly what we need. All in all very happy with the experience, would hire from them again if we are on the island.

We had 9 nights 10 days on Magnetic Island at the Tropical Palms resort… at Picnic Bay. This was great value and perfect for two families with four teenage boys and a girl between us. Picnic bay has a lovely beach to swim, a fringing reef just out a bit, close enough to swim to, small bits of reef under the heritage jetty with lots of fish… not to mention the jetty is great for teenagers to jump off and burn off energy. The bus or hire car (hire packages with Rob and Jen at Tropical palms v reasonable) will easily take you to to other parts of the island… but OUR FAVOURITE beach on the island was Rocky bay. Just a short ten min walk from our Accom at Tropical Palms… clear beautiful water light surf. Warm flat rocks to bask on… perfect sand… also the golf course is a 5 min walk from Tropical Palms with half price 9 holes $12:50 on Monday’s … Tropical palms is set in gorgeous tropical gardens with a BBQ we used 4 nights out of the 9 for our big group of 9, it has a pool, beach towels, DVD’s, clean rooms with kitchen facilities. It is close to the picnic bay hotel and other shops… and to top it off Rob (one half of the Rob/ Jen owners) is the best Masseuse on the east coast of Australia. We would definitely go there again and I have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone who thinks of travelling to “Maggie Island”

Pleasantly suprised the rooms were immaculately clean and maintained the beds very comfortable. Rob and Jen were very welcoming and helpful. Location was intimately placed amongst the trees and it was lovely that bird life near-by came to visit. Pool looks new and easy to get in and out of. BBQ facilities outside and all cooking facilities provided inside room to keep costs down. Host have though of everything one might need from fridge, oven, stove, electric frypan, toaster to plastic storage containers to use for sandwiches or snacks. Shared laundry facilities available as well as clothes line. Really a home away from home. Hotel, beach and jetty less than five minutes walk away. Fishing on the jetty and feeding local sea Eagles were a highlight. Locals are friendly and welcoming. Easy access to Island with bus stop just around the corner. Pleasure to stay here.

I was only there for one night but it was great. Catherine, the host, had great local knowledge, superb customer service (couldn't do enough for me even though my stay was so brief) and her recommendations were spot on. Would give a six-star rating if I could. Can't wait to get back to Townsville and Yongala.

Was our first trip to Magnetic Island and we decided to stay at the Tropical Palms Resort after reading other travelers reviews and we are so glad we did. Being experienced travelers are highest priority when staying anywhere is cleanliness and this place gets a 10/10, this included our room, the Hotel surrounds and the car we hired for the day. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful with advice on sightseeing and other island attractions. A two minute walk to the local pub which served great meals was an added bonus. Highly recommended for anyone thinking of staying on Magnetic Island for a few days, great value for money.
