Clean great staff. Good staff.

East is a really lovely boutique style hotel. Joe's bar is a great spot to relax with funky decor, superb service and yummy Italian available from the on-site restaurant. 10 out of 10

Nice hotel, excellent rooms.

We always strive to stay at the East Hotel when we are in Canberra for the Giants games.
They have rewarded our returned visits with bottles of wine and snacks for the footy.
Today they surprised us with a bottle of Prosecco and chocolates when they discovered it was our anniversary.
We’d highly recommend East if you are in the ACT.

Wow! Friendly welcome from receptionist, large room, super clean. Nice to open door on to balcony and let fresh air flow through the screen. A-triple-plus score from me.

This hotel is so beautiful inside out the service is good and the rooms are clean and big and close to a lot of places will be coming again thanks.

Poor restaurant. Limited room service. Poor lighting in room. Poor TV options.

My family took the hint and gifted me the Mother’s Day special package. Loved it! The room was quiet, spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff were very accommodating and helpful. Agostini’s generously allowed some minor change to the menu item I ordered — which was delicious! And the spa bath? A lovely touch that was very much appreciated. I would happily stay here again!

I love the East hotel, the pictures on their website are not at all deceptive. The property is very well maintained… Also the food from Agostinis was yummmm, Joe’s bar is awesome and the staff was very friendly and welcoming…

Interesting hotel design. Interior theme is dark with wood accents. Good service. Chairs in meeting rooms are extremely uncomfortable if you don't sit bolt upright. Bathroom facilities are not available near the meeting rooms on the upper levels. Good catering options.

Location is in a nice quiet area but close to town. Rooms were very clean and staff were kind. Prices were reasonable. Will be staying here again.

Atmosphere in the East Hotel is fairly grand, the low lighting definitely has an effect on you. The Joe's Bar could offer more non alcoholic beverages on the menu, but then again it is a bar so it's a small problem. I enjoyed my time attending a social event at the East Hotel. Plus there is free parking just a minute away from the hotel.

Great hotel, close to shops, onsite parking just 10 per day for guests. Beautifully appointed rooms with robes and slippers, organic toiletries supplied. Good meeting rooms, nice restaurant, cool bookshop. Housekeeping are awesome, they even tucked our teddy bear back in when they made the bed!

Great room and Muse has some great food and atmosphere for breakfast. Had to have room service for a couple of nights and it's been a bit disappointing. Only food available is from the Italian restaurant and both times it has arrived only just warm. Other than that would be happy to stay again.

Well appointed rooms, large in size, modern feel, family friendly and comfortable furnishings. Really friendly and helpful staff who are willing to help customers. Nice touches like a thank you card from the general manager makes you feel more than just a customer. Definitely would stay again.

Lovely place with modern, comfortable rooms, a polite and professional staff. It has 2 restaurants (a breakfast place that makes excellent coffee and an Italian restaurant that is outstanding) and a bar on site.

Great value and facilities. My partner and I drove from Sydney to Canberra, the parking was a great attraction to us and it was secured parking, a bonus! We loved the cocktails at Joes, we spent majority of our time there! Unfortunately for us we couldn't get a table at the Italian Restaurant until late in the evening, so we decided to order it as room service instead which was perfect! It only took 20 mins to arrive, pipping hot. We enjoyed having the luxury of having great food, from our bed watching TV. We woke up late the next day which meant the cafe nest to Joes was pretty busy so we skipped the cafe. We booked with the Cartier package which included Parking, Two tickets to the Cartier exhibition and a bottle of Red Wine. We couldn't book with a Luxe room so we were upgraded to an Apartment suite. This was fantastic with all it's facilities. Coffee & Tea were of high quality. Departure was easy enough and offered bottles of water for our journey home. Everything you need in one space. Great for the perfect weekend getaway. Would stay here again. Thanks to all the staff. We stayed here last weekend: June 9th.

The service for our event was excellent. Staff made every effort to accommodate our group, and ensure we enjoyed our night.

Fantastic place to stay with kids. They were very welcoming and accommodating as well as providing toys/books/activities for the kids. Clean and big rooms. Would definitely stay again.

This was a massive dessert, which was as equally tasteful. The only problem was the deconstructed tiramisu. Looked impressive, but the biscuits were too dry and hard. They needed to sit in coffee longer. It is a dessert where substance must win over appeal.

Lovely and convenient space. Fabulous restaurant on the main floor. Fabulous cafe and bookstore there as well. Stellar restaurant across the street as well. Rooms are wonderful, especially with the small kitchenettes.

Very nice hotel, many rooms have small kitchen areas and balconies. Modern and upscale with bar and restaurant. Near Manuka and Kingston shopping and restaurants. Close to government area, parliament, and one end of the lake.

This is a great hotel. The one bedroom apartment is well appointed. The kitchen has a full size fridge microwave and everything you need if you want to cook. The king size bed is very comfortable excellent quality linen, towels and top class complimentary bathroom products. It is very quiet has a great gym along with two restaurants and bars. The location is right in the middle of Manuka and Kingston with a shot walk to both centres. The staff are efficient and friendly. Housekeeping is also very good. Highly recommend.

What a great family friendly hotel. Excellent facilities with a kitchen and laundry, and walking distance to a cute shopping area with plenty of nice cafes. Free Wi-Fi and underground parking. We absolutely loved it and had a great time. Looks really nice too!

What a terrific little hotel. Good size rooms with balconies, kitchenettes and large bathrooms, a number of dining options in the lobby (or a pub across the road), and a minibar with street prices! Throw in free bike hire and it's a winner.

All in all a very good experience except for 1 person there who was less than helpful and quite rude, other than that it was excellent and I would recommend.

Great location and convenient underground parking. Prompt service and the breakfast, coffee downstairs was great.

One of the very good independent hotels that have been popping up in Canberra over the last couple of years. The staff are friendly enough and the rooms are well maintained and of a reasonable size. Well worth checking out if convenient to your purpose for visiting Canberra.

Rooms and how they are maintained are fantastic. If you had a pool and spa I would personally rate it over 5 star.

Had evening meal at Joe's bar. Four people for dinner and we shared a range of food together. Pizzas were very good — flavours were original and enjoyable. Only minor down side is that there areany hard surfaces which makes for a noisy environment.

Went there for a work meeting and the staff at reception were lovely and the room was really well decorated. Which is so rare to not just sit in a white walled boring room! Well done East Hotel!

Located very close to Manuka and Kingstone shopping areas, it’s a high class hotel with friendly staff and nice service. You have a limited selection of wines (two bottle, $25 and $40) brewed in Canberra. Yes they are expensive (can get an equivalent quantity of $40 win for $15-30 from liquor store), but it’s worth it to try ;). Bus stations are a few meters away from the hotel, so going to the city center and coming to the hotel is quite straight forward. Plenty of choices for meals inside the hotel and many restaurants in its close proximity.

This really is an awesome hotel, especially for international and longer stay visitors with many rooms featuring a functional kitchen with microwave, 2 hot plates, wall oven, dishwasher and full size fridge and freezer. There is also a laundry with washing machine and seperate dryer with detergent provided. If you have a studio Style room there is still a free guest laundry on level 5 with detergent provided. No annoying coin slots. The staff are incredibly well trained and very friendly. On site restaurant and bars are very cool with great ambience and menus. The hotel is also easy walking distance to the Manuka shops and restaurants. I don't give a score of 5 very often but after several stays at this property it is a very easy 5 stars from me. Enjoy your stay.

Overall quite disappointing. On arrive we were greeted by a strong smell of deep fat frying at reception … a first for us! There is a restaurant in the lobby. It was really off putting. Mostly we were disappointed by the hygiene of the rooms. Housekeeping was not good. We had the cubby room and there was left over popcorn on the balcony and sweet wrappers on the kids bedroom floor from previous guests. This was probably a good option for kids years ago when the rooms were new and they didn't have stained and dirty couches. Won't be returning any time soon!

My second time at this hotel, it's a very comfortable and friendly place. Staff has invariably been extremely helpful. Rooms are good sized with small but functional kitchens. Restaurant, Joe's Bar, and bookstore/cafe (pictured) all on premises. Recommended.

What a great spot! Love the decor. Loved that a waiter took my drink order from my table at the bar — very nice touch. Also the truffle pizza is fab — I'm still thinking about it a day later!

Very large and comfortable one bedroom apartment. Everything provided for a fantastic stay. Make sure you book a table if you want to eat downstairs though, it gets packed for both dinner and breakfast. Agostini's: also amazing.

Gorgeous hotel with great spaces and a friendly staff. I stayed here for two nights recently and was very happy with the overall accommodations. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the decor is beautiful, and the rooms are spacious and well-kept.

The East Hotel is a great, modern, hotel with an accessible location. Across the street is a nice restaurant / bar and grocery shopping is only 2 blocks away. The hotel features all the amenities that you need. This is my 2nd stay, and they now have multiple restaurant's on the main floor.

Amazing, trendy decor and vibe, very professional, great for families, we have the kids cubby package so kids have an adjoining apartment as well as games, Xbox etc. Agostinis has great Italian food and Muse does the best breakfast. One of the best places we've stayed as a family.

Great room, although the TV remote was useless, loved the free lollies in the foyer… my only complaint is that at brekky I ordered scrambled eggs bacon and grilled tomato… all of which were bloody delicious… but what is this obsession with sourdough bread? You need a bloody axe to cut through the crust… why is there no alternative to this bread? Unless you pay an extra $2 for gluten free. Just a simple ciabatta or. God forbid. A slice of a plain white loaf. It won't stop me staying there again… I will just order something else for brekky.

Such a nice place to stay. Close walk and drive to shops. Amazing staff and attitude. The restaurant is nice (a bit expensive). The lollies in the lobby are so appreciated. Oh, and they used Appelles apothecary in the bathroom. Love it.

Such a marvelous experience! It is clear that the management and staff have thought hard about how to make the experience at their hotel just a little bit better. They excel at all the usual stuff (front desk service, cleaning, gym, etc. ) And then really go the extra mile (or kilometer) to make the stay much more pleasant. The free bike rentals were a treat for rides to the lake or nearby parks. When it rained, complimentary "East Hotel" branded umbrellas magically appeared at the entrance/exit. Oh, and since I was there a while, I really appreciated having access to free washing machines for laundry.

The staff were welcoming, kind, helpful and friendly. The hotel was clean, modern, quiet and well appointed. We couldn't recommend them more highly :) Also, dinner @ Joe's Bar was excellent with more friendly staff and excellent food.

Funky hotel in a central area with absolutely everything you look for in a hotel. Staff were warm and welcoming and the room was uniquely designed, comfortable and clean. We will definitely be back and be recommending East Hotel to friends/family! K.

Trendy decor & a sleek vibe make this hotel far more than a place to stay. For locals there are a couple of well known eating spots. Joe's bar bringing a delicious take on share plates. The meatballs were a favourite, alongside their chicken liver parfait too.
