Alta Vista Hostel Hostel

Horrible. Uncomfortable beds, unsafe and accident prone flooring. I will not be surprised if the upper room floors collapse and harm clients. I could see the downstairs room through the gaps. I felt extremely unsafe. The stairs looked about the same, awful state. It is not wheelchair accesible. The bathrooms were filthy and small, not a good place to shower. The people that worked in the bar and cleaning were hospitable and welcoming. The owners, however, were snotty and vindictive. The female owner with the dreads and european accent was badmouthing previous clients while my family and I were in the other room; my young child was present. I was completely baffled by her attitude. That just goes to show the lack of etiquette and professionalism. I do not recommend at all. Be wary when considering this place.

I went to several hostels in Tilcara and this is the one I liked most!. The view is spectacular. A hostel for friends, couple and families. Complete. The breakfast is delicious. The attention of the boys is very good, always with good vibes, helping you in whatever you need. The hostel has a nice bar with wines and drinks. We're super happy!

After making a reservation for four and then deciding to bring another friend, I contacted La Puesta and shared this information with them. They confirmed that a room for five would be set up for us. Upon our arrival, however, the room was made with only four beds. This wouldn't have been a problem, but the hostel owners were pretty unpleasant about the matter and denied having been told that five guests were coming until I showed the owner the messages we had exchanged. Despite this negative first impression, the stay was very pleasant in the end. The owners moved a fifth bed into our room, and the hostel offered nice breakfasts and a fun pizza dinner. I would recommend this hostel, but beware of confrontation with the owners.

One of the worst experiences, it is very cumbersome to explain all the disorders that we had, but I will try to sum it up. We made the reservation well in advance, in the month of October, to stay in February, the end of the long carnival. We had many problems with the same, from book for $250 and have to pay $500; reserve a private room and their own bathroom, they gave us a room for 4, when we were 6, adding a bunk bed and no bathroom of their own. We were crowded, not entrabamos, the window gave to the bathrooms. We inform you of our dissatisfaction with Martin, the owner of the place, tells us that you understand that is not what reserve, that we have reason, but it is the only thing that you can offer. We ask that you not be so reserved, we lower the value, taking into account that we already had raised $250 and tells us that in any way. That is to say, he understands us and believes that we have a reason, but it's not going to stop winning a single penny, nor be responsible. We look for other accommodation and we realize that the value of the hostel was very high comparing services and amenities with other places. I hope that people who read understand our message that the only thing that matters to this place is a STEAL. We ended up going to the place, reserving something better for a lower cost. The lack of seriousness and of respect of the place is intolerable.

The good vibes and energy of the place are what I most enjoy. For more places as well.
