If I say that I am surprised, this expression cannot express all the delight I have about this hotel. I have traveled to many places and during my entire stay in these places I realized one thing for myself — service makes a difference! The most difficult thing in organizing a hotel, as well as catering, is the people. In this hotel, all these issues do not matter to the vacationer, since all unity of command is fully implemented. This hotel has an owner! Daily cleaning of the rooms, constant light (presence of a generator), an excellent cook, that's another story! Leon Sukhumi is the only place where I didn’t want to leave just because of the food! It's so delicious! Simple chicken noodles with dill sauce is just something! By the way, I note that we rented a room on the generator side and if you are not the most nervous person in the world (and I think that there are no such people except me), it does not interfere at all! This is the best hotel in Abkhazia! The organization of the service is amazing, there is nothing like it in Sochi! And let me emphasize that in Sochi there is no such organization of room sevis as in this hotel! I thank the owner of the hotel, this man who was able to implement and organize this entire complex organism called a hotel. Everything works like clockwork here.

The suite is excellent. The junior suite is a little tired. But also great. Breakfast is beyond praise! Convenient location. The center is nearby, it’s a 5-7 minute walk to the MVO beach. Cards are accepted, transfers are not requested. Nearby grocery store.

Five of us ate here, the table setting and presentation of the dishes were a delight to the eye. Very tasty rolls, fresh, aromatic. Homemade lemonade is also good.

We ordered bouillabaisse, cocktail and tea. For two people the check was 3000. They brought it in about 30 minutes. It was delicious, but the portion was small. We wanted to order something else, but the waitress disappeared. We waited for her for 20-30 minutes, during which time she never appeared. The other waiters also did not come to the table, although the empty plates stood on the edge of the table and it was difficult not to notice them, but they walked past. In the end, when she finally showed up, they asked for a quote; I didn’t want to place an additional order.
Recommendations: remove empty dishes as they appear on the table, approach guests with the question “would you like anything else? ”

I can only rate the restaurant; I didn’t stay at the hotel. The level is decent and not exorbitantly expensive. The quality of the dishes is at a high level. Good cocktail menu. The ambiance is also nice. In general, I recommend visiting just after a walk along the Sukhum embankment!

The kitchen is good. There is no children's menu. The child took the Caesar salad and didn’t like it (dry chicken, sour sauce) — this is probably the biggest minus. There are a lot of visitors, so the waiting time is quite long. Otherwise a good restaurant at reasonable prices.

I come to the beautiful city of Sukhum once a month, on the recommendation of friends we decided to visit this establishment. The interior is +100, but the service is — 1000! The waitress was very unfriendly and inattentive. We ordered the Spicy set, but they brought the Chef set! Although she was asked several times whether it was spicy or not. When they said that this was not the right set, they received the answer that they were not in the photo on the menu, but only registered and they were not there at all! Although they repeated it several times and she asked again what Spicy’s set was!

This is a nice hotel were everything works and it is comfortable. The bar area and restaurant are nice. Good food, salads and grilled veg are nice. Steaks and kebabs good too. The rooms are a bit small but location is excellent, great for seafront walks. Rooms a bit small but otherwise great!

Why does Tripadvisor persist in locating this hotel in Georgia when it is so obviously in Abkhazia which has existed for about 25 years? That aside this is an excellent hotel and as others have said probably the best in that little country. It looks very modern from the outside and is indeed once you get inside. The receptionist spoke a little English and was charming and helpful. My room was small but contained all that was needed including a big comfortable bed, desk and chair, luggage stand, fridge, safe and tea making equipment (only tea — no coffee provided). The room also had a nice balcony. The bathroom was clean and had a large shower cubicle. As so often happens there was no sink stopper reminding me again of how useful it is to travel with a universal sink plug. The A/C worked well in the steamy summer heat and it was quiet in my room which was at the side of the building.
We had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and both meals were good. There are many choices at dinner and the food arrived looking attractive and was well cooked. There was also an extensive cocktail menu. Campari ands side anyone? Breakfast is a set menu of porridge, egg and donuts with jam or cream, the latter apparently a local treat.
My only grumble concerns an unordered 5.25AM wake up call the first morning. What was that about? That aside the Leon is a great hotel and definitely the place to stay in Sukhum.

First of all, this hotel is located in the nation of Abkhazia, NOT Georgia. But politics aside, this hotel is utterly amazing! And I mean amazing! I loved absolutely everything about this hotel! I really do not know where to start. I will start I guess with the check in process. I was greeted by a very nice, sweet, enthusiastic young lady named Dianna! Dianna was absolutely so professional, warm, genuine and so kind. Her command of English was great and you could tell she loved her job and her guests. She took care of everything in a VERY fast, efficient manner and even checked in with me at times during my stay to see how I was doing. So, good job Dianna:)! The rest of the staff spoke ok English…
The room was absolutely fantastic! I've been in five star hotels and paid 5-10 times more than I did for this room and those rooms were not even close to as wonderful! Everything was spotlessly clean! The room was airy, inviting and warm in every sense of the word. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was unbelievable and just about everything else.
Leon is likely the best hotel in the entire nation of Abkhazia and hands down the utmost best in all of Sukhum. Last time I was in Sukhum I stayed at The Victoria across the street. Not only did I pay less at The Leon than there, but the room I got was even cheaper than the dreary, dark depressing room at The Victoria.
Even better, the maids made up my room within moments of my leaving.

After a few days of harsh traveling and sleeping in planes and trains, I was delighted to arrive at Leon Hotel.
The room was cleaned, bed comfortable and the hotel quiet.
The room was newly renovated.
The staff was friendly and spake some English.
I enjoyed the breakfast which presented items I had never tasted before.
I would definitively return.

A nice little hotel in the centre of Sokum. Staff friendly by Russian standards and room comfortable and well appointed. Breakfast only covers the Russian staples but is good quality. The Restaurant next door is nice with good food and reasonably cosy.

Arrived with his wife immediately after the wedding, going to the hotel, the reception and near him were eight staff and all who saw us smiled and almost in unison said Hello, a warm welcome rarely seen. Hotel booked for half a year and after booking the hotel not been contacted but we have already waited. Generally the hotel staff is very primarlily, trying to solve any problem, always interested in how you in our hotel and in Abkhazia as a whole, everything is like. Smile and infect a smile, always ready to help, the hotel staff Leon is the main highlight of the hotel, you can be sure you will not leave without attention and care 8). Asked for a bottle of local white or sparkling wine (the couple you know 8) ) And by the time we arrived in the room there was a bottle of cold Abkhazian sparkling wine and two glasses, very pleased. The room was cozy and very clean. The cleaning was made every day, don't know how they managed, but we had going out for 30 minutes, we returned to a clean room, as if he had just entered. In the room every day clean towels, shampoos, gels and Soaps. Brought two bottles of water and a tray with a kettle, tea and sugar. The Wi-Fi in the hotel is everywhere, and not one but five, connect to any. Now the restaurant in the hotel and the kitchen. The restaurant is very cozy, lots of places where you can sit, sofas, armchairs, chairs or at the bar.
