Tokyo Hotels near Edo Hyogu Museum

We had a wonderful 9 day stay at the Gate Hotel Ryogoku. We came from TN to visit our daughter who lives in Tokyo and we also had tickets for the January 2026 Sumo tournament.

Great stay at The Gate Hotel Ryogoku. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful from check-in to check-out, even with language differences they always tried their best to assist.

We basically only slept at night and were out all day sightseeing. The hotel is in a great spot to move in and out of tokyo. All the hosts were accommodating and very friendly.

Such incredibly helpful staff. They go above and beyond and nothing is a hassle. Clean, modern rooms. We had a family of 4 staying here and it was exactly what we needed.

Decent sized room with everything you would need. The breakfast served was very good and useful considering places open quite late.

Good location—close to the station with a direct train to Haneda Airport, and plenty of restaurants nearby.

Wonderful hotel with great staff. They are super helpful to English speakers. It's clean and the views are amazing from up top. I didn't use the spa area though because I have tattoos.

Hidden hotel gem in the Ryogoku district, very close to a subway station and a short walk to Ryogoku Station. Literally right next door to the National Sumo Arena and the Edo-Tokyo Museum.

The room is clean, but a little bit old furniture, AC only 3 modes (L, M, H), close by metro station and bus, you need to take at least 2 lines to go anywhere, beaitiful view to Skytree!

I recommend staying here! The staff are very friendly and helpful for those who don't speak Japanese. Rooms are small and cozy, and our room on the 6th floor had a beautiful view of the city.

Rooms were clean, even though small and I would definitely recommend booking two single beds if you come with two person. Breakfast was okay but nothing special. Staff was very friendly.

My family's December stay here was utterly blissful. I feel that it is under-rated. I have stayed in 3 hotels in Tokyo on 3 separate occasions, this is by far the best!

Amazing hotel. One of the best beds and blankets I’ve ever slept in — incredibly comfortable and made the whole stay feel premium.

Loved the service and the feel of this hotel, its very high end and fancy! They gave outstanding shampoos, creams, and even hair oil! Our room was spacious and had an amazing view of tokyo skytree.

Have a 6 persons room. Have a complete amenities. If you run out of amenities, you can go get them in the reception area. Thry have toilet, hot&cold water dispenser, tea and other amenities.

Stayed with my daughter and family… And pleasantly surprised how large the room was to accommodate 4 people comfortably.

Mr. Tanaka is probably the best host you could ask for. The hostel is extremely well maintained and spotless, and the rooms are spacious and equipped with every possible amenity.

Honestly one of the best places I've ever stayed. The hospitality was brilliant, the owners could not have done more for me. The whole place was spotlessly clean — they are cleaning every day.

Rooms are tiny! But they are clean, and have everything you need. The staff is readily available and helpful, and having a coffee shop as a lobby is a nice touch.

Location is great. A very calm and clean area. About a 10 minute walk from the station/ convenience stores.

First of all the room is clean and lots of space for 4 people. I am stay with 2 kids and my husband. I like the toilet and shower is separated.

No complaints here, this was exactly what I needed as a solo traveler. No frills and straightforward, my bed was comfortable and the location was very convenient.

Coming from a ryokan in Ito, I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights because I preferred a private room over a shared/capsule hostel. It was decent for the price.

We (2F) stayed there from 11th of July to the 19th of July. We had the double bed smoking room, with a bathroom (bath with showerhead, toilet, sink), a TV, Wi-Fi, air conditioner and a mini fridge.
