The worst hotel a stayed. Sewage smell in the room is just disgusting. Saw other customers changing room few times but the smell is in the most of the rooms. If you close waste pipe in the basin is bit better but it’s not acceptable. No aircon in the rooms only free standing fan. Sleepless nights in the summer as you have to have open windows due to smell but railway tracks is just outside from one side and busy road from other. Food is average. Don’t order pizza as it’s a joke. The only good thing in this hotel is staff. Very friendly and polite. And that’s why I left 1 star.

Stayed here for 2 nights, on the 1st night we arrived almost at kitchen closing time but they still made us welcome and served everything we ordered. Very friendly staff who nearlt at the end of their shift still went the extra mile for us. Ordered drinks at the bar and was advised on a deal which we would have missed out on otherwise (thanks! ). Clean room & comfy bed. On the last morning I wasn't feeling well and the staff kindly offered me peppermint tea and dry toast, which again was very kind of them. Would visit again, have probably never experienced such great staff in a Hotel. Thumbs up.

Lovely hotel friendly staff. Easy to find once comming off the motorway. Shopping centre across the road. TG fridays next door and few mins wslk to mcdonalds and pizza hut. Would highly recommend.

Room, food and staff were great. However because it is next to the train tracks, can get a bit noisy sometimes.

Having read the reviews before booking we knew there was no air con at this hotel. Unfortunately we have come during one of the warmest periods of the year as yet! Our room was hot during the night 27degrees! And we're traveling with a 7 month old. So it has been tricky, but when we arrived the windows had been left open to cool the room and there is a fan in the room so we have managed and have all slept really well! The reviews all talk about the train line well… We're facing the car park and the train line and have had the window open all night and had no issues with noise. Yes you occasionally hear a train pass by but not that frequently and it's a rumble not unlike having white noise playing in the background! Again this hasn't disturbed sleep for any of us, we waited with baited breath watching our daughter the first time the train passed, but nothing she slept in through the noise-and she's a light sleeper! The staff have been lovely, really attentive and pleasant. It's got great facilities around it. Overall a good experience and would stay here again, maybe in cooler temperatures.

Been here for a second visit going again in November brilliant again the girls at breakfast are lovely and not to forget the chef they all mingle with the guests they made our stay just perfect.

We always stay here when we come to Sheffield. What's not to love? Reasonably priced rooms, great food and the staff are always friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend it.

It was a lovely meal although the woman serving us could have done with a smile on her face, I didn't get served alcohol but the food and room and bath was all banging, I felt very at home and would love to stay more often, that breakfast is the one.

I've always been highly impressed with the service at the Premier Inn Sheffield Meadowhall. Staff are very friendly and the room is always extremely comfortable. It also offers very reasonable prices and is only a couple of minutes away from the Meadowhall shopping centre, can't complain at all!

I travel a lot for work and stay at various hotels across England. This was easily the best Premier Inn I've stayed in — the room was modern, the service was excellent and the food was significantly better than any other chain hotel I've eaten at. The hotel is perfectly situated near the Meadowhall shopping centre, too! I would definitely recommend.

Could have been a terrible night as Bassfest on locally and the place was fully booked as a result. Extra overnight staff greeted early morning arrivals and escorted them to their rooms so we didn't get disturbed at all, even though this can be a bit of a noisy building. Full marks to the management for this. Oh and the 2 ladies serving breakfast on New Year's Day were attentive and efficient. Lovely girls!

Clean rooms, staff very courteous, food was very good aswell. It does stand next to a road but we were not aware of the traffic and our room was road side. Recommended.

Good service, quick check-in through the automatic machine. Rooms very comfy, great dinner. Breakfast was lacking, had yo ask for more food to be brought out which wasn't great. Pillows were uncomfortable as well. Overall good stay though.

Not bad as premier inns go, was visiting for business. Foyer was being updated at the time and looks better now. Could do with the buffet breakfast bearing added. I've rated lower due to the restaurant service, which could do with more staff to serve the many customers during a time when people are also checking in, so attendants are in high demand.

I've stayed here several times and never had any issue. There is refurbishment work going on throughout the premises but it never disturbed my stays. If you're a light sleeper be sure to close your window; there's a train line on one side of the building and a busy road on the other side. It's within walking distance of Meadow Hall so there's also the chance of some retail therapy.

Great location, perfect for Meadowhall shopping, down the road you can find the retail outlet with cinema and plenty of restaurants. Also there are tram stations either side of the hotel within 10 minutes walk, great to get into the city. Only issue we had was with the air con but the fan worked fine instead.

Rooms have no ability to cool properly without the room fan, even with one and countless requests for the cleaners to leave on during the day but constantly switching them off, the rooms are always hot. Sweaty nights sleep every time. The reception staff are helpful and accommodating hence the 2 stars. (would be 3 but they can't make the cleaners keep the fan on. ) Food was poor, only tried it 3 times and each time it was poor. 6 week stay was ok but would try elsewhere if it wasn't for the close proximity to work.

Easily accessible from the motorway and ideal if you need to be around Meadowhall. There's plenty of parking and a small bar/restaurant, although there are plenty of alternative places to eat and drink nearby. A tram track runs close behind the hotel but it wasn't loud enough to disturb.

Good location, really helpful staff, clean & well equipped room. Food was a bit dry and chucked together. So only 4 stars…

This hotel exceeded my expectations. The room was clean and modern with all the facilities you would expect. It wasn't air conditioned but had a good tall fan but as the temperature for this stay was normal neither was needed. Perhaps could be a problem in very hot weather? It was also quiet with a very comfortable bed. All the staff we met cleaning, reception and breakfast were polite and helpful. This hotel must have good training and management. The breakfast is excellent value with a good range of choices served buffet style. Even the coffee was freshly made and good. The location is easy to find right by J34 of the M1. Fantastic range of shops and eateries 5 minutes walk away in the Meadowhall Shopping Centre where you can also catch the Supertram into Sheffield city centre. Recommended.

Perfect location near the edge of the M1 so great when travelling. Clean, comfy and great customer service. Room and bed perfect for a stopover. Food lovely in restaurant and located near Meadowhall if you want to shop.

Clean and fresh as always. Staff were really helpful and polite. Rooms were a great size with great facilities. Would definitely recommend. Short walk from meadow hall and the Sheffield arena.

Very good service with friendly staff. Room was spacious and very clean. Restaurant menu need improvement slightly. Apart from that happy with my experience here.

Excellent service by the staff. Restaurant food was a good standard and the kids portions were almost as big as the adults. Room was very clean and tidy. Just lacking air conditioning.

The usual Premier Inn experience. Fairly basic rooms but lovely comfy bed. Walking distance to the arena although there is another Premier Inn even closer if you want. Loses a star as I had to wait a while in reception a couple of times before a staff member appeared even after ringing the attention bell as they seemed to be too busy in the bar. Also had to wait for replacement batteries for the TV remote.

After a long stay for work, we received a charge, not due, on the credit card given to warranty. We contacted both by phone and email the hotel for months without getting to date any feedback. We are disappointed and embittered for what happened. We do not understand why they do not respond and do not return the amount improperly charged.

Location is great, it's a short walk (10 mins) to the mall. Staff are very friendly and courteous. The room is functional, for the price I am not expecting something like the four seasons, comfy bed, quiet and warm. The TV could stand to be a little bigger, as it's pretty small. But aside from that the hotel is good. Breakfast is good, they provide a good selection. The buffet is well stocked with everything you need for a full English. Costa Coffee machine means you at least get a good cup of coffee, instead of the normal Kenco they have in the room. This is one place I would stay at again for a business trip or even if I needed a place to stay at whilst passing through Sheffield.

Great service from start to finish. I'm sure if you had an issue they would bend over backwards to help. Breakfast was yummy — lots to choose from. The room was brilliant — clean and tidy and the bed was super comfy. Perfect for a shopping trip to Meadowhall!

Handy for the motorway. Extractor fan and flush are very noisy, meaning one can easily hear neighbouring rooms using these appliances.

In a really good area close to the meadowhall shopping centre & not far from the motorpoint arena. Rooms lovely and clean, the breakfast is exceptional, overall a really nice hotel.

We would just like to say my wife and I had a fantastic stay and will certainly be back the next time we are through to Sheffield, as the staff and service was first class nothing was too much trouble for them and all polite and friendly. The room was 1st rate.

Staff can not do enough to help make your stay perfect. Easy access to the motorway and Meadowhall.

Enjoyable place and convenient to get to.

Staff are super-friendly, the breakfast is yummy and the rooms are fantastic. My only gripe is you can hear people talking past your door, although not loud enough to be disturbing.

Best service I have had at any hotel, 5 star or otherwise, anywhere in the world. No joke. Couldn't have been friendlier or more attentive. Outstanding value for money.
