Everything is as you'd expect at this smallish Premier Inn. What stood out, however, is that the staff were particularly friendly and helpful — not in a forced-smile gritted teeth way, they were actually genuinely nice and seemed to enjoy helping people. They were all good, but special mention to the young man with the big beard on reception, and the black guy on the bar in the evening. Sorry, I didn't catch your names.

I stay in a lot of Premier Inns for my job and this is the first one that has been dirty in places. Somebody had left hair clippings in the basin of the toilets in the bar area. They were there for the 3 nights I stayed in the hotel. Otherwise everything was fine/usual for a Premier Inn.

Great facilities for disabled with easy access. Food is of high standard and is kept fresh throughout the morning and is constantly kept topped up in the buffet.

I was in room 232 discribed as a new room. Very clean and nicely decorated. Lots of power sockets but no USB charging. Long way from reception and restaurant plus lift is slow. Menu is good. Restaurant is actually cosy!

It's the third time I stay at this hotel and my experience has always been consistently positive. The restaurant was very busy today so the food took 20 minutes but I have to say it was worth the wait. The mixed grill was a delicious collection of meat perfectly cooked and the cheesecake we'll look at the picture. Definitely recommend.

Great location close to plenty of restaurants, bars and of course the arena. Booking well in advance recommended as prices absolutely sky rocket closer, nearly tripling in price. Only downside was the noise from the stairwell (we were second room away)

Very difficult to find in the dark — real postcode takes you to empty industrial estate. Scroll right down the booking email to find a more helpful postcode.

Lovely clean hotel friendly staff but breakfast was poor I opted for continental no buns or muffins etc ended up with toast no jam only peanut butter marmalade or choc spread or syrup and coffee was Luke warm disappointed. But poor 1 and only waitress was rushed off her feet.

Excellent night's sleep as usual. I really like having multiple fluffy pillows (thinner ones were also available). A fireworks display was on at the Arena and we didn't hear it at all in our ground floor room, there's good sound-proofing too.

Stayed and had full English breakfast it was beautifully cooked red hot and plentyful. Fantastic service throughout. A massive complement to the chef Nick and wonderful staff that worked so hard throughout our stay.

Hotel is fairly easy to get to on major roads and free parking on site. Nice large room with a very comfortable bed. About 15-20 minutes into the city centre depending on time of day. Close to Meadowhall for shopping.

As usual, Premiere Inn beds and rooms can't be faulted. Breakfast was excellent and the staff customer service fantastic. My only issue was that some of the other guests were very noisy at night.

Easy to find, rooms were nice, I had 225 which seemed to be on a corridoor that looked new or newly renovated. The restaurant downstairs served good quality food. I'm not sure on prices as I was here for work and had prepaid meals.

The food is fantastic and the room was clean and tidy. The Wi-Fi is a rip so use mobile data if you can.

Comfy rooms. Wi-Fi kept dropping every 10 minutes. Walls very thin. Could hear every footstep in the hallway when you Was trying to sleep. Staff are friendly. Other than that it was nice.

Great hotel. The location was convenient to my needs, but it's not downtown. Confortable spacious room. Nice king size bed. Very quiet and surprisingly great food. I recommend the 9oz steak. You are not going to regret it. This is not a 5 stars hotel so my assessment is based on the quality of the service they committed to provide and in my opinion it was excellent.

The staff are very happy and helpful. The rooms are very comfortable. We have stayed previously and as enjoyable. The only recommendation we have, is that the corridors are very warm. There is no air conditioning or cooling fans in the room. The fan can only decrease your 19c which is not enough when experiencing a Warm spell that we are at present.

Enjoyed our stay. Location was fantastic being only a short walk from the arena. Room was good. Very comfy bed and good bath. Only thing I would say though is the tea station was caked in dust and dirt and needed cleaning. Service in the restaurant was slow. But all the staff were very friendly. I would stay again.

Exactly what you would expect from a Premier Inn, great location for Arena or Ice Sheffield. Rooms are a decent size and the pillow menu is always a nice touch for us fussy sleepers.

Good looking well kept rooms. Staff happy to help. Bed was noisy getting in and out of, not ideal with 8month old in the cot.

Nice place for a few drinks before an event, friendly staff, food could be better.

Cheap, clean and great location if you're visiting IceSheffield. Room was immaculate, very nice Samsung TV and the bed was extremely comfy, may have to go back for another good nights sleep.

Got a room in the newly renovated wing which was very nice, especially for a premier inn.

Just a few minutes walk from the Sheffield Arena. Has plenty of parking space. Room was very clean. Has its own restaurant and really enjoyed the food. Friendly staff. Really enjoyed my stay.

Room was very clean and tidy, hygiene is obviously very important. The staff were friendly, helpful and always greeted us with a smile. The breakfast was first class, you can eat as much as you wish to and was plentiful in choices.

Stayed at this hotel last year. I had a great stay and could appreciate the establishment getting such high ratings. Based on this most recent stay I think it will be difficult to retain the position on Trip Advisor. The hotel is fine, in a prime location, a couple of minutes walk to the Motorpoint Arena. This time out the service in the restaurant had gone down hill, in spite of the best efforts of some of the staff. The food has been revamped, along with the restaurant décor, but was not nearly as enjoyable as my previous visit. Indestructible pastry on my wife's steak pie, a lasagne for me which was presented in a totally unimaginative and unappetising way, the option — for an extra 0.75 of triple fried chips, which we took, then mine turned up the ordinary, frozen kind. 37.73 with drinks of wine and lager. Room was fine, comfortable and with all basic facilities. 111.50 for both of us including breakfast. The breakfast itself is self — service and was perfectly ok. Why ALL hotels where I stay seem insistent on putting air — con to cool, while my cooked breakfast goes the safe way I will never understand. Due to the location I'm sure we will stay again.

If you can drift off to the rhythmic thuds of a ten thousand tonne forge hammer running through the night you will love it here. If, however, you are normal you may want to stay somewhere else. FYI on the night I was there it ran until about 1.45am and restarted about 6am. So I did manage about 4 hours sleep. When I asked, Why don't you warn people about it? they replied, It would put people off booking here. Yes.
