Visited for afternoon tea. The staff were polite and helpful especially Lucy. The food was amazing, a great selection of sandwiches and desserts.

Wouldn’t recommend terrible poor service rooms so hot we had to have the door open to be able to breath as windows wouldn’t open. Breakfast was of very poor quality and standard when it did arrive 40 mins after the toast the mushroom yes just the one was so dried up I couldn’t cut it, sausage was rock hard, tomato dry and the black pudding was like a lump of coal! When I did complain I was told it was “luck of the draw” at breakfast!
I took my complaint further to the general manager who informed me breakfast is free so nothing could be done! I paid £204 for one night stay so felt that was an insult as breakfast clearly factored into that price.

Had fish and chip afternoon tea, was a new experience and beautiful food. Staff very friendly and efficient.

We've just had a weekend stay in the Palm Court. 1st night we ate in the hotel and took up the offer of a 3 coarse meal for 2 with a bottle of wine, amazing food and deffinatly value for money at £65. The hotel is well appointed with a very pleasant atmosphere, we found all the staff very polite & helpful. We would & will stay there again.

Lovely hotel in the center of Scarborough which is always well looked after with very friendly and attentive staff. There could be more gluten free options and the Wi-Fi is only available to guests who stay at the hotel, so if you pop in for a coffee and cake you can't yse the Wi-Fi. Would highly recommend it though.

We have been using the Palm Court for our business meetings for the past 8 years and have to say that the team are always very professional and personable. Headed up by Jay the GM, Rebecca and the rest of the team deliver outstanding customer service and we (Sweet P Catering) can't recommend the Palm Court enough!

Staff friendly and room spotless. The room, however, was small and scruffy. Overpriced.

First time we've stayed at this hotel and we found it extremely pleasant. The staff are fantastic. We had a problem with our pre breakfast shower and they sorted us out within 15 minutes with an alternative. Very impressed.

Just used the car park, reasonably priced but the spaces are a little small.

My mother and I went for morning tea and was totally disgusted at the miserly amount of food we received for a lot of money. The pieces of cake where so small that it was not really worth having. We feel it is an overpriced rip off. Julie Gray.

The hotel was very comfortable and the staff were very good especially the reception staff. Only thing we were disappointed with was although there is a heated indoor pool it is not very inviting. The walls are dark and there is not enough seating found the pool due to lack of space.
However the dining room was beautiful and the piano lounge was very comfy. That said we would definitely go back, we were very happy with it.

This is a great hotel, central to everything and friendly, knowledgeable staff. I would choose to stay here every time I visit Scarborough. Free parking and the food is always good.

Very friendly and relaxed evening piano a great bonus played very well made our evening. The breakfast was very good too plenty to choose from.

I went in one Friday evening to order a cocktail from the bar. The girl made a mistake and served me up the wrong cocktail. When I raised this with her instead of just changing it she argued with me and said it was my fault. She made me pay for her mistake. You should never do this with a new customer. I did go back in and speak with the manager who offered me a free cocktail but this was not the point. I mean what is the extra cost of shaking up another cocktail? I did go in to look over the place as I was contemplating having a big birthday party there. I would never go back and most certainly would not expose my guests to such bad service. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

The staff where very friendly. Coffee better then Costa. But a little more but worth it. Very comfortable with nice background music. Oh and forgot the biscuits they where yum.

Well, to start with. On our arrival at the reception we were given a warm welcome and the young lady took our bags and said she would arrange to have them delivered to our room, so we could have a look around the shops. The room was clean and tidy, with a good welcome pack to look at. The restaurant staff were all very professional and friendly. We only had one meal at the hotel will our friends and that was brilliant, well presented and delicious, our breakfast was the same with lots of choice and of course the full english breakfast. We would love to go back to the Palm Court Hotel as Scarborough is definitely worth a second visit.

Palm court is located in the heart of Scarborough, fantastic location and beautiful decorated rooms.

Just an old style clean hotel. Quality breakfast and relaxing stay in a good part of town. Easy access to the beach and town. Complimentary parking in cluded. Afternoon t with live pianist is a real treat. Would stop again.

Lovely breakfast, close to local attractions and shops. The indoor pool is not very well maintained and the rooms could be modernised but overall a lovely hotel.

I liked the hotel. The staff was very friendly and nothing was a bother to them if you needed enything. Meals were every good. Our room was exalent. I would stay there again. It's near to the shops and the beach.

Nice hotel. Located between the town and beach so both are within easy reach. Plenty of parking.

Stayed in room 10 which is a double room. (Bottom left window above hotel entrance) Would have given this hotel 5 stars but the main radiator did not work. Reported and was given the choice of moving rooms or a portable heater. Decided to take the heater and it warmed the room up and was very cosy. Breakfast was between 7.30 — 9.30 and was very good. I thought the front of the hotel was the car park, but its council run and pay and display. Was very pleased when I found out there own free car park was just around the corner. (Locked up and very secure after 11pm)

During a weekend away with my wife we stayed in the Glaisdale Suite which was spot on and a beautifully presented room. One thing we noticed was what a friendly relaxed atmosphere it is at Palm Court Hotel… the staff couldn't do enough for us so we'll certainly be back!

In July 2015 we had a small wedding reception at The Palm Court Hotel for their Champagne high tea and it was exceptional. All our guest said they felt very special and that the staff had been attentive and just so helpful all afternoon, it was faultless and I can definitely say we will be back for our next party or event they are brilliant. A special thank you to our event organizer Adriana you were fantastic.

We arrived and thought how nice it looked from outside and when you walk in it looked lovely. The receptionist was helpful, she gave us the room key and told where to go. We had booked on line and went through the different rooms which where twin beds, double rooms and family room we went for a double as only two of us. When we opened the door to our room I was very disappointed as it was so small. The paint on the doors was peeling, two of the light had blown and the bathroom floor was laminated which was lifting in places. The bath taps when you went to turn on lifted up and so water was leaking onto the floor. We excepted a nice large room from looking at the pictures on line and got this instead. As we where only staying to nights and knowing that is was fully booked we had to stay in the room. We went down on the first night for a drink in the bar, we asked where the toilets where and the barman said where they have always been what does this statement tell you. If we had been before we would have known where they where. It said on the write up that it had a swimming pool which it had but it was dirty, the paint was coming off the walls, a large plant hanging around pool which was half dead so that was out of the question. on the last night we went to bed only to be woken by the fire alarm at 6 45pm. So we decided to get up have breakfast and leave, we where shown to a table asked what drink we would like and the women went to fetch our coffee's.

Having enjoyed a stay at this hotel on a previous occasion I decided to use it again. The room was reserved/confirmed on a credit card a couple of weeks earlier, however when I arrived I was informed that no rooms were available. This is not what you want to hear after a 4 hour drive! I had to stay in a nearby Travelodge, as this was the only close hotel with any vacancies. Not Happy with the service at all.

We had a lovely 2 night stay, close to everything. The hotel was everything we had hoped for and our room was extremely spacious and very well furnished. The dining was first class and was not over priced. I would highly recommend this hotel for a short break, I could not find fault with anything.
