(Written on behalf of grandparents) My husband and I have been returning Palm Court Guests for many years. However our recent trip was an utter disappointment. We have left feeling undervalued and shall not be returning (for the reasons outlined below). Upon our arrival our room was cold and the toilet water was running continuously. After phoning reception, the manager came to fiddle with the toilet. We were then also informed that the hotels heating was on a timer. When the time arrived the room remained cold and the toilet began to run again. After speaking with the manager a second time, we were promised a heater (which never materialised). The following day after shopping in the town; my husband and I came back to the cold room (still no heater). We are both elderly and my husband has recently undergone surgery. Thus, I suggested he have a warm bath to counteract the cold. After running the bath I tried to turn off the tap; which broke off from the wall into my hand. I had to call my husband to help get it back onto the wall as I was not strong enough to do this myself. The following morning after another cold nights sleep we had had enough. We went downstairs to confront the manager and we’re told it was his day off. Luckily the receptionist Adrianna was eager to help and offered us another room. However, we declined as there was not much of our stay left. Since staying, we have reached out to the hotel in an attempt to speak to the manager. They still haven’t called back after 5 days. We just want to feel heard and be offered an apology. We don’t even want a refund. It appears that unfortunately we are not valued as guests and so this will be our last stay. A little effort could have gone a long way.
