Most beautiful place! I loved whole Brighton. Such a nice and friendly place and people. I would return a hundred times.

Good place for spend a night if you are on low budget travels. It's pretty clean and nice place for backpackers. And of course, location is good for late night partying people. In the same time, party noises can come up into your room at weekends.

The beds were bad and the food was just bread and jam.

Plenty of room in 106 for 12 people. But only 1 shower/toilet between us.

If u can handle crowded hostels. The price is the least expensive in Brighton. And the location is perfect for coming in by train or bus. And being 1 block from beach. Friendly service and breakfast comes with it. Great for small budgets.

A wonderful hostel spacious rooms clean, friendly staff, Always willing to help. Breakfast is included in the price and its a great first meal to start your day and journey. Most people are travelling or just stopping over for a night, friendly atmosphere in their common room. They have a great kitchen where there's a fridge for putting your food in if you dont want to spend a lot of money in the amazing restaurants around town. All in all the stay here is enjoyable.

Bad staff at the reception except Richard. Good location and heating. Feel lucky about roommates, had a look at others bathroom and was really dirty because of the lodgers. The club under the Hostel makes everything shake, impossible to sleep for many. Have to ask to open the door every time at entrance, keys don't work. Good value nontheless.

Nice place according to the place. The rooms are normal, warm and the beds were pretty comfortable. The bathroom was small and the shower was a bit uncomfortable, the water would overflow. Anyway, the place was on a great location, and the breakfast was included and was pretty good. The views from the breakfast room were so cool, you can see the West Pier. Would recommend to travellers staying for one or two nights.

Económico Hostel, discreetly clean, small kitchen, poor breakfast, but great location and a few euros there is like accommodation.

Very comfortable sleep for my first Hostel. Very cheap price also, could not complain whatsoever. Very honest staff of which I accidentally forgot my phone, but they kept it safe upon my return to retrieve it.

Stayed last night. Staff very friendly and helpful. Clean room. Great location. Value for money. Will stay again.

Courteous staff, especially, on a day that was full of dark clouds and rain. The bed was comfortable enough, it could have been noisy, but I wouldn't know because I always wear "swimmer ear plugs" when I stay at a hostel; I recommend it, even if your accommodation is relatively quiet. The kitchen wasn't bad, the shower water was warm, but be prepared to buy a towel if you intend to shower in the morning.

Average and expected breakfast. Rooms were good for price. En suites. Bathroom shower was broken off wall so had to hold it. Excellent location.

Disgusting place, 6 single beds in one single size bedroom with ensuite. Absoultely disgusting and stinky place not even the rooms but the entrace and kitchen. No one can live there for free. You can hardly breath in these rooms, very noisy and dirty place. Not even worth a penny. Please don't go and waste your money on them. Spoiled our holiday.

If you want cheap and cheerful this is the place. Staff are nice just don't go into a 21 bed dorm. It's built above a pub/club so throughout the night you have the baseline popping off until 4amish then you have all the punters shouting. Also there is limited plug sockets in the rooms so it can be a tough one. You get complimentary breakfast though between 7-930am it's not continental like advatised it's one cereal, toast with two choices of ham then eggs. Also the only toilets are in the rooms, showers are pretty so so in a 21 bed dorm with three tier bunks. The breakfast made it worth three stars.

The place was not very easy to find as the entrance is on a small side road and not on the main road as indicated, fortunately the people working at the walkabout bar were able to point me in the right direction. Staff was very kind and helpful at all times. All rooms had en suite, which for some people might be nice and practical, for others it can represent a lack of privacy. Breakfast was basic — was not expecting anything more considered the price of my stay but I wish staff would replace the strawberry jam after it finished. The kitchen only had one fridge, very few kitchen items such as plates and bowls and I think it was definitely too small considered the size of the place and the max number of guests. Not a spectacular hostel but definitely a good deal considering its convenient location in Brighton (£8/weeknight for a bed in a 9bed-dorm booked online with just 3 days notice). The only thing I definitely did not like is the fact that the duvets seem to be hardly ever washed — would be really easy to just provide duvet covers and wash them every time.

Nice building but no lockers. Nightclub baselines keep you awake on weekend nights. Large social area and breakfasts good.

Turned up at the hostel to a slow booking in and being told on the day that I had to place a £5 deposit for the key card to get in. We were staying in the 21 bed room and when we walked in we were were left with only top and middle bunks with almost all of the ladders to these being used as hangers by the people who live there most nights. We had a good time chatting with these people and for the most part they were lovely. At about 10 a older gent came in and started to have a go at us for drinking in the room despite the staff at the front desk saying it was fine. We didn't have any other issues over the night or in the morning.

Check in was easy, the quality was exactly what you'd expect for a more expensive hostel but the private room we had paid extra for was what we needed after cycling to Brighton.

Good location and nice staff but rooms aren't particularly nice. Beds are too short, bathrooms feel only just above a portaloo, and no lockers in the room. Definitely expensive for what you get.

3 man bunk bed! Also pretty clean and safe.

Good access to the town and beach but it's right above a Walkabout. We were on the top floor and the bass just about kept us awake. Once that stops the punters start heading home and were loud too. Room was clean though one of the bunks was super squeaky and made a bunch of noise when the person sleeping in it shifted at all. One of our group had earplugs which helped a lot. They also wanted to charge 5% for paying on a debit card which is very cheeky. You also need £10 cash per room key so have that ready too. There's a cashpoint towards the top of the hill and a charging cashpoint in the reception. Breakfast supplied was toast and Cornflakes. A good place and not too badly priced *if* you're out to party until late. Not perfect if you need a great night's sleep.
