First off, I must say the location is pretty good because it's close to the beach but a good little walk from the city centre. As for the hotel it's very simple, peaceful, quite and relaxing very humble abode. The receptionist was very kind and very nice always asking if we are ok and if we have any issues. Bear in mind the bathroom is very small and so is the toilet ours were separated but that was not a factor it still was pretty decent. The bed was a bit noisey but not unbearable. Wi-fi was suppose to be included but unfortunately it did not work which made us displeased but we did not spend a lot of time in the room, we had a kettle and enough complimentary tea and coffee (plus sugar and artificial sweeteners) I enjoyed spending 3 days at this Hotel and definetely will be going back plus I was given 10% off my next stay and I really can't fault it just hope the Wi-Fi works next time! I highly recommend!

The rooms smelled of damp and the receptionist was not helpful. Would not recommend it to anyone. Very bad value.

We stayed here 2 nights this summer, great location, close to pretty much everything that is "Brighton", nice clean room. I booked this online, and was given instructions by email on how to enter the building, and what room I had. It's a keycode front door, and our room key was waiting for us in the room. There was no reception when I got there, and if you needed anything, there's a phone in the main entrance. All in all a great place to stay and reasonable rates too.

It was a nice hotel, well situated, and very clean, tidy, and full of character. It was good value for money, and overall we were pleased with it. We did however encounter a few problems. One, there was no greeting whatsoever, and we were left very confused as to where to go and what to do and ended up wandering around the hotel for a while. Two, it was not made clear how to check out and when/how payment would be made, we had to phone the main reception and ask as we had no idea, I was then told that the money had already been taken when I had previously been told it would be taken upon departure. Very confusing. The last problem was that the shower did not work, it worked for about 10 minutes, and then stopped and would not come back on, and of course, there was no one around to talk to about that, so we just left it. All in all, and nice comfortable hotel in a great location which I would stay at again, but the service was non existent.
