Constant noise during the night from Machinery and wasn’t warned beforehand.

Nice hotel with spacious and stylish rooms. Seems to have been refurbished fairly recently, there was still a nice new carpet smell in the air. Breakfast was excellent, great range of options. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Fab location. Air con did not work. Got upgraded after complaining. The bath plug would not lift in upgraded room as mechanism was broke. Ended up manually removing plug each day. It was not repaired although reported. Breakfast was great. Check-in was pleasant so not all bad.

Nice hotel, clean and tidy. Good shower. No working A/C however. Asked to move room but was told there were no others. Uncomfortable night due to heat… Also, when we arrived there was also no parking, we were told to park in the local NCP car park and we would be given a discount code for 50% off. However, when we had to pay it was only a 10% reduction… (£25 for parking, £22.50 with 10% discount).

Stayed here for two nights whilst visiting Cardiff. The rooms are lovely and spacious with lots of sunlight coming through. The bed itself is comfortable, which is something that can't be said about most hotel mattresses. Also had breakfast at the Oddsocks restaurant downstairs, which was very nice but didn't have as much choice as other breakfasts you may find in competing chains. Furthermore, be aware that if your room is adjacent to Queen Street there may be noise from the nightlife outside. Overall though my stay at Jurys Inn was a comfortable one.

What a fantastic welcome from Lara! From the moment we walked through the door she made us feel so welcome, extremely polite and friendly. We stayed here for our anniversary and she made us feel great. We travel around a lot and stay in a lot of hotels but this is by far the best welcome we have had. Personally I will be returning and recommending this hotel to others. Thank you Lara, two very happy guests!

The room was boiling, the aircon didn't seem to work very well due to my late arrival I didn't try to get it rectified (my responsibility). The gluten free breakfast is pathetic at best. In this day and age most places have switched to anything that can be gluten free is, very sad packet of cornflakes and really crap bread. It's an obvious after thought, not something they have tried to make tasty. I won't be back there are better places for the same price locally where you can order a nice breakfast. Also eggs and bacon very overdone sitting in oil. Staff are pleasant here.

I was upgraded to a “junior suite” (! ) which was very fancy! Tea/coffee in the room of course, nice shower, great breakfast. The key cards kept failing on us but that was the only drawback. Appreciated the candy jars at registration.

Lovely staff really helpful and friendly. Upgraded our room for us and had someone put a sofa bed in there for our daughters. Great food, easy parking. Definitely stay again.

The hotel was clean and spacious, with a massive super king bed. Despite facing the street my room was quiet at night. Breakfast was lovely and included some delicious smoothies as well as the usual full English and continental. Docked one star because the wheelchair lift to get in was temperamental and didn't always work.

The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast is the hammer! Would love to come back!

Nice and comfortable hotel in the heart of Cardiff. The restaurant is highly recommended, it seems to lie that comiésemos so well in a British restaurant. The staff is lovely, both the hotel and the restaurant.

Very nice, well furnished hotel with lovely, comfortable rooms. Large choice on the menu that tasted good. Also a great buffet breakfast in the morning with a large selection and healthy options. Worth a visit.!

I was there for two nights for a business trip this week, and this was my first time in any Jurys Inn hotel. I was very impressed with the service. All staff I have spoken to were very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was old and the facilities were pretty basic, which is why I cannot give a 5. Overall a good experience and would definitely go back again.

My sister is getting married here next month. There are several rooms booked for relatives, including myself, some of whom are travelling from afar.
We have been told today that we are not allowed access to our rooms until after 2pm. The wedding begins at 1pm.
We now have nowhere to get ready and cannot travel in our wedding clothes.
Due to ringing 5 times yesterday around 5pm and receiving no answer my mother has just been to the Hotel in person to sort this out and your receptionists could not have cared less about our predicament nor could they have cared less that we may now have to cancel all our rooms.
I am disgusted that you have no flexibility in order to help us in this situation and this has spoiled that part of this occasion for us.
I would appreciate a reply.

This hotel is absolutely marvellous the location is excellent so central! the beds are to die for so comfortable, the rooms are spacious with plenty of mirrors and desk space. The bathroom is lovely with either walk in shower or bath with shower over also toiletries are provided. The staff were very friendly and overall we all enjoyed our stay and would definitely be returning back to this hotel.

Short walk from Queen Street station. Close to city centre, with plenty of shops and cafes/restaurants nearby. Room clean and comfortable. Breakfast good.

The central location of this hotel makes it the perfect base for visiting Cardiff. The castle is only a five minute walk. The restaurant is tastefully decorated with a varied menu. We had a very spacious room in the 2nd floor which had all the amenities you’d expect in any good 4* hotel. The front office and breakfast crew were especially friendly and helpful.

Good food and good atmosphere for the Christmas party I attended. Seating plan well thought out. There was an issue at the beginning as half the party did have their glass of prosecco that was paid for in their ticket, but the staff there were great and sorted it out quickly.

Stayed at Jury's Inn Cardiff with colleagues. The hotel is well situated for the city centre, and the room was nicely appointed. Staff were helpful and friendly but the reception was unmanned on arrival and it was several minutes before anyone appeared, by which time there was a queue of potential guests. My room was a decent size, and had a couple of tub easy chairs. The bathroom was nicely finished with a good shower over the bath. There was tea and coffee provided in the room but I missed the little packet of biscuits, having arrived after a six hour journey. The restaurant detracted slightly from our stay. As a party of eight we ordered meals, but we're disappointed when main courses were being brought to the table before some people had received their starters. Then the main courses arrived muddled up with different sides. Whilst the food was okay (typical hotel meals) it was a disappointing experience overall. Breakfast was buffet style with a good selection of bakery and cooked items, fruit and cereal and normal beverages. Hovered between 3 and 4 stars but although dinner wasn't great, the staff seemed genuinely apologetic and did make an effort to put things right.

Lovely clean hotel with the best smell ever. Bed was large and very comfortable with lovely views of Queens street. Staff friendly and helpful. Fresh full English breakfast with plenty of it. Very impressed would stay again.

Staff were very helpful both in person and prior to the visit on the phone. The check in was smooth and our luggage was kept for us as we were early and had to be at an event before 2pm. Car parking is only £15 and after check out we were given a code so that we could exit the carpark later that day (No extra cost). Breakfast was a fab mix of fresh frùt, smoothie, pastries and cooked all for £9.95. I am so going back there.

Very nice hotel even though building work going on. We had room service which was perfect for our anniversary morning. We were offered cake or biscuit on our arrival which was a nice touch. We will definitely be back in the new year.

I've stayed twice recently. The staff are very welcoming, but the rooms were a little scruffy and I was woken by street noise in the middle of the night. Bed was comfy and room was clean. Restaurant had just been renovated. Food was fine for price but menu not clear. I ordered pizza and garlic bread. When it came, the garlic bread was actually a round flatbread the same size as the pizza! The menu needs to say this as I could never eat it all and I looked greedy! Shame the hotel doesn't use Fairtrade tea, coffee or sugar either.

Beautiful hotel, was there for a works Xmas party. Arrival at 7pm but room wasn't decorated/set up until 7.45 so everyone had to wait in the bar. Food was nice if slightly dry. Staff were exceptional and very polite & professional. DJ was awful & needs to be changed!

Had our corporate Christmas event there and I was really impressed with the food. The room was decorated beautifully. They really organised it well.

Unusual for hotels in the centre of Cardiff, the Jury's Inn actually has its own reasonably sized car park although it can be a bit difficult finding your way through the one way streets to get there. The reception is strange in that instead of the usual counter arrangement the receptionists are sat behind individual desks which seemed to make check in and check out mush slower. The corridors are nice and wide and my room was a reasonable size but there wasnt a comfy arm chair to rest in — only a reclining chair at the desk. The wardrobe was far to small with an ironing board and iron taking up half the full height wardrobe. There was only a bedside light on one side of the bed which could be a pain if you're a couple and one side of the bed had very little access space. The bed was a good size and was very comfy and there was a good selection of pillows to choose from. The bathroom was very modern but in some aspects annoying as the sink tap had no markings to indicate which was hot & which was cold. I thought the bath was rather high to step in and out of the shower and could really have done with a grab rail to help prevent slipping when getting out of the shower. Whilst I was there the main restaurant was being refurbished so breakfast was in one of the function rooms but there was still a good selection and I look forward to going back when the main restaurant is open.

Room small but comfortable and clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast very good. Only problem was noise from a nearby club which went on until 4am.

Good place but definitely needs some renovations, shower and bed room were old and not well taken care off. Dirty curtains etc… I expect more of a 4* hotel. Breakfast was good, but not very good for the price, normal English/Continental breakfast, coffee quality very poor (could also be instant coffee).

Great hotel. Very Central and easy to get too. Parking is £25 per 24 hours which is very good for a city centre. Close to the castle. Staff very helpful and friendly. Great stay.

A decent hotel. TV could be bigger, and it was a bit rowdy at the weekend with drunken weddings. I requested a wake-up call that I either slept through or it never got put in. Would recommend as great location and spacious rooms — oh and the breakfast was great!

Great location in the heart of Cardiff, helpful and friendly staff. The twin room we were provided was massive and looked great. Only issue I had was with a strange smell on the duvet which the staff were happy to rectify. Would be happy to stay again for a night.

We booked a superior room, and by God was it Superior! The bed was the size of a Badminton Court, and the view was straight down the shopping centre in front of us! The staff were friendly and helpful! Polite too! A respectable price for a very respectable room! Well worth staying there!

I had a very comfortable overnight stay at Jurys Inn Cardiff. The air conditioned rooms are tastefully decorated and are equipped with everything you need for your stay at the hotel including hairdryer, iron and toiletries etc. The hotel also benefits from free Wi-Fi and satellite TV. The hotel is centrally located in the city centre and is ideal for exploring the town and it's attractions. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Location was fantastic, room clean if a bit dusty. Bathroom lovely. Air con great. Bed fantastic, great nights sleep. Literally the worst freeview and TV picture I have seen in my life. Crap Wi-Fi. Overall good, just a few things to address.

We were here for Judgement Day this bank holiday weekend, can't say how wonderful this hotel is, very central, staff were amazing and the room was lovely. Definitely will stay here again Heyward.

The Hotel was generally grubby. We reported, on our first night, that the toilet roll holder fell off the wall and that the basin was not clean. No action was taken and our room was not cleaned over the two days that we stayed there. The food was good, in the restaurant, as was the staff — but the rest of the Hotel is clearly resigned to Hen and Stag parties, with all that this entails! Would not recommend, if you have high hygiene standards!

I stayed here for 1 night. Excellent hotel overall. Room is clean and comfortable. Receptionist is friendly and helpful. Good stay. 4 stars is because I couldn't use the hotel Wi-Fi.

Had a great stay at this hotel. The room was lovely, the restaurant great quality and value. The location is excellent too, right in the centre of the city. Staff were also very helpful when we had to change our date at short notice. Would definitely stay again.

Perfectly city centre location, inside rooms are a bit dark with little light coming from the window overlooking a courtyard. Beds are comfortable, the staff and the food really nice. Only downside was the cleanliness of the room on arrival which could have been slightly better, it looked like the room hadn't been used for a while, but all was clean after first daily clean.

Pros: — Fabulous service and staff. — The overall cleanliness of the place. — Top notch shower/bath. — Good breakfast. — Good air conditioning in the room (climate control). Cons: — Very poor TV service. No EPG (electronic programme guide). No pay-per-view options. No option to connect your own USB stick. This was rather annoying for us as we came here for a romantic weekend and had hoped to spend a lot of time indoors watching TV. I had bought along a USB stick with films and shows and even a chromecast in the hope I could use it but it wouldn't work. As a second option I hoped I could at least purchase some pay-per-view movies but sadly that wasn't available either. I'd have given the hotel 5 stars if it weren't for this gripe. — Cardiff is very noisy. Even in the early afternoon I could hear a booming sound from a daytime gig quite a distance away. There's not a lot the hotel can do about that. Tips: I'd recommend upgrading to better room. We upgraded to an Executive room for only £20 extra per night. The bed and the room was much bigger and there was a bathtub. It also gives access to the Executive Lounge which is a small room with sofas and a TV. During limited hours in the evening it also provides free beers, wines and hot beverages.

We booked our room for a wedding many months in advance. Three days before our stay, their Reservations Team emailed us and confirmed our reservation. We also received an automated email providing our Reservation Confirmation Number. One day before the wedding we spoke to their Receptionist who told us that our room had been allocated. When we arrived after the wedding at around 1 am, we were told that we had no reservation and there was no room for us. They had overbooked the hotel and failed to allocate us a room. We were faced with having to walk through town, late at night, in the pouring rain, to another hotel. We were the Bride and Groom. Book here at your own risk.

Brilliant service all throughout our stay at the king suite at the Thistle Hotel. Plenty of choice on the food menu and faultless room service. Very clean and comfortable and the rooms are provided with everything you could need. Will definitely be staying again soon.

Currently stopping in one of the "executive king" rooms at the Parc Thistle in Cardiff city center. We have had several issues with the lack of functionality of the toilet (however at the 3rd time of asking this has been fixed by a helpful maintenance member) On arrival we were expecting to have two bathrobes, we had non, two pairs of slippers, we had non, and a box of complimentary chocolates, yes you guessed it we had non. We have now received the bathrobes and slippers, but still no chocolates (this is not a major issue, how ever does somewhat spoil the romantic 30th birthday present for my partner) additionally the fact that we have not had any housekeeping done at 17:20 on our 2nd day is an issue, the bins are full, we have no tea, or hot chocolate, or sugar left, and it is getting to the point that I will have to go out to the tesco across the street to purchase toilet roll. These are basics amenities found in the most basic of hotels, thankfully this is not our first trip to the lovely city that is Cardiff, however it will be our last to any Thisle hotel.

Stayed for two nights, staff were friendly and rooms were top notch.

Very polite and helpful staff on entrance and exit (very quick check in/out). Room was a decent size, with a lovely ensuite. Room was very hot, muggy and stuffy but air conditioning was available, if a tad noisy. Facilities were all good although some bits of the room needed work (loose fittings etc). Bed was comfortable (firm) with enough pillows. Lovely large, flatscreen TV. Ensuite was very nicely done and the shower was fabulous (monsoon head) — and I am very fussy about bathrooms! Main problems came from the noise. I am a resident of Cardiff and so knew Queens Street and the streets around the area could be noisy at night, but they need to work on their double glazing! Bring your earplugs if noise bothers you. Tends to quieten down around 2:30am, and is probably much reduced during university holidays, except at weekends when the locals are more likely to go out. Also a problem was internal noise. The room next to us had their TV on at around 6am — INCREDIBLY LOUD. This was very disturbing. Also lots of noise from showers etc. Noisy plumbing? Decoration inside of rooms was nice, but the rest of the hotel could perhaps do with a little refurbishment. Corridors looked a little tired: the Park Plaza is a lot smarter inside, in my personal opinion. Still, a very nice night with good service.
