Lovely hotel in the centre of Cardiff with views of the castle.

Came for my granddaughter’s 10th Birthday. Arrived at the room to a lovely balloon and large birthday cookie, making her feel very special. Lovely, clean, spacious and comfortable room with great views.

Bassam and the dining room staff were very attentive! They worked as a team.

Great knowledgeable bar staff.

Absolutely shocking. In family room in right now with no heating in room. Room smelled damp when we checked in. Over 4 hours later, not even a straight answer what they are doing about it.

Great location but cleanliness : housekeeping terrible. Sock found in room also the duvet was absolutely filthy. Have made a formal complaint but as yet waiting for Someone to get back to me.

I was a member a few years back and always enjoyed going. The staff are always really helpful and kind. The spa is really clean. And the gym is just the right size has everything you need. Definitely will become a member again. Thank you for a lovely welcome.

Great hotel and great location.

Rooms were very dated, TV was a joke 4 none digital channels 3 bad signal radio channels like being back in the 80s, the tea and coffee board had not been changed from previous guests, the fridge was broken, the whole hotel for evacuated at 10pm into the street was 0c out side children were freezing. I will never stay here again and will make sure I advise anyone I know against staying here.

Amazing service and staff and room very clean.

Well, it might still be lockdown in Wales compared to us in England but it was lovely to stay here again. Everything was carefully planned to give us the best possible experience given the Covid 19 circumstances. We had a lovely relaxing stay and felt safe and well looked after. Planning another stay very soon.

Fantastic service. We got upgraded to a very posh suite and all drinks, nibbles and cakes was free. Had an amazing time.

Went to the Hilton for a friend's wedding. From the time we arrived to the time we left the staff were all amazing. A special shout out for staff member 'Emily', who was at the evening reception and at breakfast, an absolute credit to the Hilton. The room was spotless, spacious and had all the amenities we needed for our stay. Would recommend Hilton Cardiff for a professional, yet relaxed stay. Thank you.

The only place I ever stay when visiting Cardiff! I always have a lovely welcome. The location is so convenient and facilities are excellent! It’s a home away from home for us!

Had a lovely night here on Saturday night. Staff were very helpful, room was on the 6th floor, very large room. Massive bath with a separate walk in shower. Toiletries supplied, slippers and bathrobes supplied. Air con worked great. No issues whatsoever. Valet parking.

I love using the gym at Hilton Cardiff. They have steam room, sauna and jacuzzi and ample swimming pool. I like the gym space very much.

Visit in June for my mum's 70th birthday, excellent facilities and spa area. We had afternoon tea which was lovely, bit slow on the coffee and tea refills but good experience nonetheless. Breakfast buffet in morning was superb, excellent choice of food from cooked breakfast, pancakes and waffles, fresh cakes and pastries and fruit and cereal.

I would give 5 but rooms are a bit old to my taste and smelling old. But after switching to another better room it was comfortable. Breakfast was great!

We were treated very nicely in this hotel. Our room was beautiful and had everything you need, save except for a decent TV (there was only a very limited choice of channels available). The health club (pool and gym) is free for residents of the hotel, so we relaxed there after a long day in Cardiff and enjoyed the steam room and the sauna. Breakfast was easily the best we had during our vacation, so much choice that it was difficult to decide what to eat. The location of the hotel is excellent, right next to Cardiff castle.

Bad experience /: Air conditions not working during this hot weather. Complained more than 4 times at the reception and they said all they can do is put the small fan. And I Can’t open the windows bcoz my room is faced to inner side so the windows are locked. Not just me who’s suffered, all my family got 3 rooms Had 2 nights stay here and suffered the same problems. Can’t get a good sleep because the room is hot and can hardly get a good breathe coz can’t open the windows! considered as my worst hotel experience on this trip.

I haven't stayed in this hotel before as I live in Cardiff, but I would just like to thank the staff there for helping my 4-year-old son today. He fell off his scooter in the underpass nearby, banging his head and picking up a nasty graze on his knee. I took him into the Hilton with my two other young children and asked if they had a first aid kit as the wound on his knee was dirty. The staff were brilliant, particularly Garran, Mehmet, Lauren and Angelique. I was conscious that in such a refined hotel a crying child may not go down too well, but the staff made it their priority to make my son comfortable and to clean him up. They helped to calm him down, brought ice for the bump on his head, cleaned his graze and brought a drink and ice creams for all the kids. I was really impressed with their compassion, kindness and professionalism. My daughter, who was concerned for her brother, was so impressed that she commented "I really like this hotel — can we stay here sometime? "

Came down to stay at the Hilton Cardiff for a long weekend. The hotel is opposite the castle and the Crown Court. I arrived at the Hotel at about 13:00 and optimistically asked if the room was ready to be told that it was. The hotel has a great swimming pool. I had room 717 on the 7th floor, which is bang opposite the executive lounge. The lounge had great views of the Castle. The lounge is only open in the evening between 18:00 and 20:00, also as had mean noted in other reviews the choice of food and drink is very limited. Other Hilton’s I have stayed in I did not need to eat in the restaurant for dinner. The breakfast had a good selection of fruit, I did not have the cooked option so I cannot comment on it.  The staff running the lounge were great. I ate and drank in the bar and restaurant downstairs and the food was delicious. All the staff that I met were all so helpful and friendly. I intend to stay at this hotel again sometime.

Charming and very welcoming. We loved our room with the view of Cardiff Castle. Easy access to lovely restaurants, shops and of course the castle. Costa on the ground floor!

I have a health club membership at the Hilton Cardiff and I am thoroughly impressed with the services on offer. The pool is big enough for lengths and the jacuzzi/steam room & sauna is a wonderful way to wind down after a work out. Locker rooms are decent, all furnished with showers, lockers, hairdryers, water fountains and bags to put your wet swim wear in. Overall would recommend.

Friendly and helpful staff. Loaned me a US to UK adaptor, which was a lifesaver. Room was clean and spacious. Room service was fast and the food was good. Early checkout with boxed breakfast and arranged ride to airport went very smoothly.

Good hotel with nice staff. The rooms are a little tired but very clean. The gym small but the equipment is good. The breakfast buffet is very good, as is the evening restaurant. If ordering room service ask to order off the restaurant menu as it is 100 times better than the one provided in the room.

Great hotel in a perfect location. Superb service by helpful staff from all areas. We were upgraded to a great view room for free. Comfortable room. Slightly expensive but worth every dime. Enjoyed the health centre immensely during our stay. Highly recommended. Drawback is the hotel parking.

Nice hotel, great location right in the heart of the city, just round the corner from the main streets with bars and restaurants. Hotel has a decent pool with sauna and steam room. Room was overlooking the castle which was really nice. Parking is tough but they offer valet parking for £25. Would stay here again.

Attended our work Christmas party here. Food was very good, considering the mass production involved for such an event. A number of bottles of wine had been pre-ordered for all. The serving staff continued to bring around bottles of wine to top up glasses, but it wasn't made clear that the pre-ordered wine had been finished and that we were therefore expected to pay for additional drinks. We should have been made aware of this before being offered top ups!

Very nice hotel and I was lucky enough to get a room facing the Castle. So great location. Next to the castle, shopping, museums and river ride to Cardiff bay. Nice staff. I found the bar staff went above and beyond. Also good prices for a Hilton, obviously base$ on occupancy.

Perfect. Overnight stay, wedding party and breakfast. The friendliest, warmest most helpful staff I have met. Everybody was thoughtful and kind, with a special mention to staff at the reception desk and the breakfast team who were truly lovely and caring. The room itself was comfortable and quiet. No faults to find! Thank you for a lovely stay.

Overnight stay in Junior Suite with access to Executive Lounge. Receptionist who booked us in was particularly friendly and helpful. Had dinner in Grey Restaurant on ground floor. Food very good and staff attentive. Breakfast was also excellent with a good buffet selection. Would definitely recommend.

Popped into the Costa attached to the Hilton. Great service, very tasty. Nicely decorated and very comfy chairs. Chairs well spaced so it isn't cramped. Would go back.

Had afternoon tea here on new years day which was delightful. A wonderful selection of teas, sandwiches and sweet treats. The staff were very attentive. A lovely setting. Highly recommended.

Just arrived home after having Christmas day lunch there. Can't fault it beautiful meal and good service. Merry Christmas and well done to all staff who worked today.

Visited yesterday and had the most fabulous afternoon tea. The sandwiches and cakes were amazing and the choices of tea was fantastic. I opted for the white pear and ginger and just loved it — loved the little egg timer that was provided so you could time the infusion and decide on the strength. What a lovely touch. Staff and the manager were super friendly — everything had a personal touch. Such a warm and friendly place to dine. I will definitely be back soon.

Absolutely loved the Hilton in Cardiff. The pool and steam rooms were nice. The staff couldn't do enough to make our stay pleasant. We had a view of the stadium and the room was exactly what you're would expect from the Hilton.

The view is excellent. Makes you forget about work in the evening. Has a wonderful lounge on the 7th floor with an amazing view. The restaurant is good, has a great ambience. Walkable distance to the town centre. Negative for me is that it doesn’t have its own parking. You have to give the car to the hotel, so that they can park it for you. Remember to take anything you may need for the night.

I stayed with my family. Castle view was good and people were very kind. Swimming pool was very good for kids and also adults. No free parking, £ 25 for valet. Good service.

There was a mistake with our booking, which was eventually resolved (and we had a complimentary drink as an apology), but it took quite some time. I wasn't very impressed with the spa facilities — very limited and the pool was quite cold. The rooms were pleasant and the beds were comfortable. The array of breakfast foods on offer was really good.

Great stay, hotel was really busy with the Cardiff Half Marathon starting just outside, but the staff were amazing and got us a room (with an awesome view) well before we would have expected. Very professional team. Lovely hotel in great location.

The location of the hotel is very good and in the centre of Cardiff. The staff in the hotel and the adjoining Costa Coffee are all very friendly and very helpful. It was a very enjoyable experience.

Room very clean, bed very comfy with feather pillows and staff very helpful. Two restaurants the main one being Grey's with outstanding food and service. Worth the money and I will return.

Went for Schmoo in the City, Virgin Spa Experience. Fantastic. Beautiful building and kind staff. Spa was amazing, would recommend to anyone visiting.

Super vegan friendly, the restaurant isn't mind (the Grey). Amazing staff. Rooms are a little dated, but clean and comfortable.

Good location for the city centre and the castle. The room was nice and included a fridge, an iron and ironing board and a trouser press. Bathroom was spacious, with a tub and separate shower. It was surprisingly quiet given the location so the soundproofing must have been good. The pool, Jacuzzi and sauna were decent but the steam room was tepid and steamless. And there wasn't a sign or other indication that it was malfunctioning. For the price we paid I expected a fresher breakfast. The scrambled eggs were congealed and the beans were thick from sitting under the heat light for too long. On the plus side, the selection of smoothies was nice.

I have stayed in most spa hotels in Cardiff & South Wales, this was my first stay at the Hilton. Absolutely blown away, the staff are incredible, delightful, so welcoming, it was unbelievable! From the amazing Terence & Nino at the front desk to Rob & Joel at the bar, who made my stay extra special. The beautiful room overlooking Cardiff castle, spotlessly clean & so comfortable & so quiet. The spa, lovely, relaxing & intimate! The food was out of this world & very reasonable! Gorgeous cocktails! I cannot wait to go back! Very very impressed!

30th birthday meal at Grey's went well on Sunday. Surprised my wife with a little treat. A little bit weird having the specials stuck to our table with post it notes after we sat down. Never had a choice of steak knives before. After we had finished and requested for our drinks to be taken through to the bar, staff came over with a cup cake and sang happy birthday. Nice touch. Ludo was very good and professional and made our night a good one. Thank you.

The Hotel as a Whole is Nice and Friendly, but the Service Requests are Unattended. Wifi is Really Pathetic for a Hotel like Hilton. Didn't expect it to be this poor even after several Complaints. TV Repair Requests go unheard at the Reception. Not a Very Pleasant Stay.

Nice Hilton, convenient for the castle. Parking is valet only and there's a ridiculously small area to drop cars off in. At busy times you make a lot of friends blocking a major road; fun to watch from your hotel room when it's not you, less fun when you're the one being shouted at.

Excellent central location. Spacious Executive Rooms. Some of the most helpful staff encountered during our recent UK tour. Highly recommended, and worthy of the Hilton brand.

A fantastically well located Hotel for visiting a Cardiff. Valet parking for those wishing to drive and not deal with inner city parking. Amazing staff where nothing is too much trouble. It is however starting to show its age, with certain areas starting to tire. A castle view is a must as is an executive room with access to the delightful lounge.

Excellent customer service, staff were excellent. Great location. Great facilities. However the executive lounge the choice of Alcoholic drinks was limited to wine or Carlsberg bottled lager.

I can't say enough good things about the Hilton Cardiff. The hotel itself is in a great location, the rooms were comfortable and I received the excellent service that I expect from Hilton's worldwide. Given that I traveled from the US, it is nice to know that there is a brand I am used to and that honors my HHonors status.

Classic Hilton. Convenient location. Room with a view of the castle inspired. Accidentally rolled the pen is under the table… they were there for a long time not cleaned. On the whole good.

I understand supply and demand so I was annoyed when I actually paid £550 for one night here to watch U2 at the Mellenium stadium. The hotel is very nice but price-guaging is a painful experience for the patron.

Very good staff, good location as long as you get an outside, castle side room, otherwise could be noisy. Good choice of breakfast food although both days the fried food was warm rather than hot. Luck of the draw on what other guests are like, Cardiff seems to be a stag and hen capital too now so can be a bit rowdy. Rooms OK if a little tired, and Exec lounge a bit disappointing, particularly if you've ever tried the canary wharf one. Prices vary hugely, can literally be double so keep checking back.

Location brilliant. Within walking distance of all the attractions in Cardiff. Room was very quiet and great views of the castle, the bed was huge and very comfortable. Staff were helpful and friendly and a good selection of drinks at the bar. Best part was the breakfast in the morning in the executive lounge, amazing choice and very tasty. Down side was non residents were able to go in for a drink on the international day therefore was incredibly busy. Other than that perfect hotel and would stay again.

Location is excellent. Very near nightlife and shops. Rooms spacious and clean and service good. Pool and leisure facilities very good. Only slight let down was the quality of the breakfast.

Last night me and my wife decide to spend a night out in Cardiff and decide to go to Hilton. We arrived at Metropolitan lounge and we wanted a quick drink before we check in, my wife asked for a glass of wine and I asked for a bottle of peroni. The bill came to £16.60, when I have asked Julian the gentlemen who served us how much is a glass of wine he said £12.20. I looked on the wine menu and your bar tariff and surprise that wine doesn't exist. He than looked behind the bar in his draw and came outwith this menu, and surprise the wine was there. When I have challenge that all he can said was ' I do apologise we changed the menu and that is our new menu but in all the bar tables not a single new menu. To charge £12.20 for a 250 ml of Vavasour whiteout telling the price to the customer I think that is shocking. As a owner of a pub and restaurant informing the costumers about prices is critical. I want somebody to look into that asap.

This is a review of the Escape Spa, which is on the second floor of the Hilton Hotel. I had a massage and a facial. The staff were friendly and helpful. I felt their customer service was great. However, I would say that I was disappointed with the relaxation room. It is quite small and there is a lot of noise from the pool, not quite so relaxing. Overall though, I would recommend.

Reasonably priced, friendly helpful staff, great rooms, fantastic en-suites, good food and excellent location. All round, fantastic hotel — would recommend and stay again.

We wanted to see capital of Wales, having never visited it before and decided to book family room in Hilton Cardiff with dinner and breakfast. We have three children 11, 8 and 1 and deluxe family room was adequately sized for us. We were on fifth floor and access via lifts meant no problems going in and out with all essentials and buggy. Hotel is well placed for shopping and Cardiff Castle as well as Civic Centre and Bute Park, about half hour brisk walk to Cardiff Bay. Parking is hard to find around so leaving the car in the hotel might be a good idea. Facilities wise there is swimming pool, Jacuzzi and sauna, first two are kids friendly and in the morning we found it to be better time to enjoy as a lot less people. There are floats available to childrens' use including special ones for infants — so thumbs up from us there. Internet access is not free and rather costly and choice of free TV channels is reasonable, unfortunately no Cbeebies for little ones but CBBC is on, you can get extra movies etc for extra cost. We found bathroom to be a good size with bath and shower cubicle but toiletries were limited to one small tube of each: shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, lotion and soap bar — not enough for a family of five, so don't forget yours. Also lack of dressing gowns and slippers was regrettably noticed due to liking them when staying in other hotels of the Hilton group.

The hotel itself has amazing decor and good location with nice places for shop, leisure, foods and beverages all around. Staff were friendly and helpful, room was clean and well presented. The gym has a decent amount of equipment, well the dressing rooms were a bit tiny, but cosy. The Executive lounge had all the usual complimentary drinks and snacks, Christina the host was great company and was always on the go. Would definitely stay here again.
