I booked a private room with bathroom and it was very comfortable and clean. The kitchen was well equipped and a big plus for me (on a kayaking trip) was the drying room and boat/bike storage. All the staff was friendly, I will definitely come back!

Great Hostel, really nicely done out, staff are really friendly and they have a shed to keep your kayak in.

We had a fabulous time. Our room was ideal and we had a fantastic view of Dinas Brân Castle from the window. The hostel is in a central position in Llangollen with a car park close by. Jamie was really welcoming and went the extra mile and posted my son's glasses back to us when he forgot them there. Would recommend it to anyone. Diolch Jamie!

This is a lovely friendly place to stay. I stayed here twice with my two young children. We stayed in two different family rooms, both were of a high standard with comfy beds, modern en-suits and we all slept well. There is a spacious kitchen, and the hostel has a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere. My children enjoyed the games room and playing with other guests and they keep asking if we can go back! The complimentary breakfast was a real help for me travelling with young children and overall it was fantastic value for money. The staff were wonderful. We were made to feel very welcome and everyone was so friendly and helpful. I was given lots of suggestions of things to do and we had a great time exploring. If you are staying in Llangollen you should be staying here.

Accomadation was excellent, very clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Sorry altered it now I would have put 6 stars, I didn't know what I was doing, the place was perfect we was the walkers who did offers Dyke.

Very friendly people, very tidy with a large kitchen, living room with a log fire, and with musical instruments. Rooms are nice with comfy beds. We’ll be back!

Excellent hostel with lovely staff who couldn't do more for you. First class amenities for a hostel and location was perfect — everything needed is within a short walk. Plenty of space in rooms and comfy beds. Basic but quality food for breakfast. Everywhere spotlessly clean and tidy. Highly recommended for single travellers, families or small groups.

High quality hostel. Very comfy beds and good showers. Great location to explore some of North Wales. We went white water rafting with a company based just around the corner. Selection of great pubs nearby!

This is a great hostel. We hired the whole place for the weekend for a birthday celebration and had a fantastic time. Rooms are warm, beds comfortable, showers super. The kitchen was well-equipped and there was plenty of space for everyone. We enjoyed the log burner and made use of the piano! It's position in the centre of Llangollen was ideal for exploring. We'll definitely visit again.

Really nice hostel. Rooms are clean and spacious. Nice large kitchen. Great lounge with wood burner and games. Drying room for wet items. Stayed over Christmas and had tree, lights and decorations to give a homely feel. Perfect buget accommodation in a super location.

It had all the basic amenities and generous room sizes. Lounge has wood burning fire, games and books. Showers are powerful and hot. Everything was very clean. My only slight gripe was that in room 7 the plugs were not near the bed and this was a difficulty for using my phone if you're like me and want your phone next to your bed. Lots to see and do locally. Amazing place, recommend.

For the price this hostel was perfect for a university trip that I took with my classmates. It had all the basic amenities and generous room sizes. The showers much to my surprise were very powerful and everything was clean. My only slight gripe was that in my room the plugs were not near the bed and this was a difficulty for using my phone if you're like me and want your phone next to your bed when you sleep bring an extension lead! Otherwise a fantastic place to stay.

As hostels go… it doesn't get any better… clean, tidy, drying room, well equipped kitchen, fab team, good value.

I managed to get a room at the hostel last minute, quite literally. Very friendly and helpful lady. I was surprised how clean and well maintained it was having been at other hostels in the past. Lovely bedroom with all I needed. A shared bathroom between 2 rooms, that was spotless. There are laundry facilities with a large drying room. There is a well equipped kitchen and dining area, which again was spotless and there is a living room as well. All in all it's a lovely place and well worth a stay. Tea and coffee with breakfast included. I've stayed in hotels that weren't this nice. It's also in centre of Llangollen, so plenty of shops and eating places within walking distance.

This hostel is in a loverly location. We had a family rm which was clean and tidy with a sink in the rm and the toilet just next door. Staff r friendly u have full use of the kitchen which is very nice and ifhu don't want to cook there r plenty of take aways close by or restaurant's. It was our first time as we will be visiting Wrexham every 2 months and the Llangollen will be our go to when we do.

Brilliant place to stay really nice people good value for money couldn't of asked for anymore free breakfast is always a bonus easy to get to parking is easy all shops close by we will be back again soon.

Clean and pleasant. Stayed on a Tuesday in July — so quiet I had whole 6 man dorm to myself. Breakfast available. Friendly welcome. Lots of amenities/food options locally. Used as part of Offas Dyke walk.

This hostel is amazing. I went by myself for a two-night stay in the summer of 2013. I didn't realize it, but I was a couple days short of Llangollen's annual international music festival. This meant, however, that the place was virtually empty! It was me, a Scottish couple, and a Polish man, and the owner (or co-owner, or assistant. I'm afraid I can't remember her name! ) came by to clean the kitchen and introduce herself to us. Even though I originally booked for the cheapest room available, because they were so empty, I received an upgrade, at no extra charge! I ended up with a room to myself, with a beautiful view of the castle ruins, and a bathroom to myself as well! There is a grocery store across the street, which came in handy. A big kitchen, and breakfast was served! The property itself is nice and quaint, with a beautiful, homey sitting room. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, and helpful! I'm really glad I got the pleasure of staying here. :).
