Terrible communication skills in the event’s department booked a private function for 70 people only to be told after month of trying to get 30 room rates that no rooms available. We have had a function with them for the last six years. Won’t be going again.

Staff were always helpful and made for a pleasant stay.

Two night work stay, all the COVID precautions in play as you would expect, good breakfast, friendly staff nice clean room. Perfect.

The worst hotel experience of my life… tiny room, small double bed, extremely poor room lighting with no main room light. Tiny bathroom, with an elevated shower basin so close to the ceiling that at 6'2" I had to bend my knees to get under the shower head that I had to push right up to the ceiling. Bath towels for kids, not adults. A bust radiator valve that greeted me with 31*C heat upon check-in, which never lowered below 22*C with the bust valve apparently switched off. The worst sleeping night of my life, which cost me a day off work, ie £600, an overnight stay at a local friends house (thank god I had a local friend to rescue me the following day as it would have been dangerous to drive 150 miles home) and a management team that didn't have a clue how to compensate me. The breakfast, for £15 is pathetic. A tiny plate, with small eggs served by a chef that doesn't know the difference between brown or white bread. Pissy small fruit juice glasses and at a table with a salt cellar with no salt and a pepper pot that cannot deliver, with a breakfast waitress RUNNING around the dining room! Very UNRELAXING! Overall, an absolutely DIRE experience! Zain on the bar is a lost diamond in this coal hole. The staff on reception must have called me 'SIR' twenty times in five minutes… which became irritating and ill meant.

2 night stay, everything perfect right from check in. Every member of staff we came into contact with were particularly friendly. Bar food excellent too, as was our room. 10/10.

I booked in on Friday and paid my bill on a debit card, I have the receipt given to me by your staff as proof of payment.
I had to drive back to London leaving my friend in the room who was rudely approached by your night manager demanding payment!
My friend explained we had paid and could not understand why he was being harrased!
I sent him the screen shot of the receipt and called the hotel more than 5 times before the phone was answered.
The lady who answered the phone could not tell me why this was happening and told my friend she could only deal with this when she has a minute!
This is unacceptable and has ruined our weekend — currently meant to be preparing for a competition and instead I am writing this complaint in FB because no one is answering your phones?
Your staff and hotel have ruined what is meant to be a holiday!
If these things happen they should be sorted immediately!
Totally unacceptable situation which is still not resolved?

First hotel I have been in for a while that has a huge space to accommodate a large vehicle/coach. For a older hotel it feels fresh and aired. Decor is in good condition and staff are more than helpful. Recommend Holiday Inn over Premier Inn any day.

Visited here today on a groupon offer, used the leisure facilities and had afternoon tea and really enjoyed both. The pool was nice and quiet and we loved the jacuzzi. The afternoon tea was amazing, good quality and plentiful. All of the staff we met were really friendly too. Just wanted to say thank you.

We would like to say a massive thank you to all the staff at the holiday inn that made our wedding a perfect day on Friday. The day was absolutely amazing and we couldn’t of wished for a better day. All the staff worked so hard and couldn’t of been anymore helpful from start to finish. Food was fantastic and everyone commented how lovely it all was for the meal and hog roast.

This hotel is very average except that since staying there I've been hounded by their parking company to pay £100. I've given fair opportunity for them to sort it but unless they answer the phone, what can I do? I've had to write to the CEO to ask to get it sorted. Horrid experience.

I don't normally review a place until I've checked out but I'm compelled to. From arrival, through check in, to room and dinner, this hotel is the best I've stayed at for a while. The customer service is what has driven me to this early review. The staff here simply can't do enough for you. The reception guy is simply charming, the bar staff really friendly and I am thrilled to have found this gem.

I think this is the only nice hotel in city like Rugby, all other hotels look very dull and cheap. There is not much decent place in Rugby anyway. This is much better than others. Nice clean room. However, one my friend has got big spider on this room, we had to through the spider out of the window but this is something one off, never had any problem like this before.

Another Nice Experience in an IHG hotel. The hotel has free parking, and it is located close to the M1 motorway so it an easy place to rest when you're driving north to south or vice versa. We paid 47£ which is a good price, considering the hotel has an indoor pool and a gym. As all Holiday inn hotels there are two nice pillows, one soft one hard to choose from. And the mattress is very high quality, so we slept good :) I will definitely come back if I'm ever in need of a place to sleep while driving the M1.

We had an overnight stay 24th June. Becky on reception was great, nothing seemed to be too much trouble, managed to change our room to ground floor for us as no lift. Teresa in the breakfast room was also very friendly. Thank you.

Checked in Friday 22/6/18 for an overnight stay. Iffayt was on the desk and immediately changed our rooms to ground level as there was no lift going up to 1st floor and we had booked wheelchair access, sorting this without any issue. She was great. Had our evening meal and in the morning a staff member (young lady whose name I didn’t get, sorry) who had been working the evening remembered we were vegetarian and offered the hot vegetarian alternatives. Again great service. M…ost impressed with all staff as they were very friendly & helpful. Would definitely recommend this particular hotel as the staff couldn’t do enough for you, making the stay smooth & pleasant, as this was the first time taking my mother in a wheelchair. Thank you.

We stay at quite a few Holiday Inn's around the country. This is one of the best. Very friendly & helpful staff. Great food. Beautiful grounds, Rabbits, Birds Perfect. Air conditioning. Rooms a little bigger than usual. Very clean. Will be back soon. Perfect. 10/10.

One of my favourite hotels in the area when here on business. Ideal location just of the M1, on site gym and a relaxing lounge/bar area with outdoor seating for when the weather is nice. On this occasion the lounge was cut in half while renovations were under way which I don't mind since I look forward to an even nicer stay next time.

I travelled to this hotel with national holidays. The rooms were really nice so were the staff we talked to. And thats where it stops. The evening meal was basic and clearly not freshly prepared. Very small portions and not a great choice. The day we travelled meant that British summertime clocks forward. We had to be at breakfast for 7.30am (6.30) and were informed that we had to eat in alternative room to restaurant. The room was cold and had broken blinds. No staff were around and tea/coffee urns were out. We attempted to have a hot drink to find far from hot water in the urns. There were toasters available that took 20 minutes to toast the bread. Only scrambled egg and tinned tomatoes available. Eventually white undercooked sausage was brought out by which time the other items had failed to fulfill the expectation of a full english. Altogether a poor show and we all felt that because we were a coach party were treated shodily. I realise that we stayed at the hotel at reduced rates but on the whole the food was far from acceptable. I have stayed in Holiday inns many times with this coach company and this experience has been by far the worst. I have informed National and hope that they take on board my comments. Reduced rates or not the fact that you would have had empty rooms had we not used your hotel.

Staff were very helpful, meeting rooms were of. Good standard. Tea and coffee facilities topped up constantly. And plenty of water was provided. Just a little noisy due to refurbishment which could not be helped.

I arrived here on the 4th March for 4 weeks and still here now and I was impressed with customer service in reception smooth check in and friendly, I completely happy with the Bar staff Linzi fantastic service with a smile and friendly, followed by the restaurant staff Charlie and Jordan also friendly and made us comfortable, the only issue I had is was this Sunday in the restaurant 11th March was the young waiter ordering my meals I get my main meal before my starter, Rooms are good, clean and tidy but the 2nd week I was here I received a executive room which I was very impressed could not fault that room at all, hope I can have the executive room again on my last week commencing 18th March Tint tint.

Lovely clean room. Fantastic buffet breakfast, they even had low sugar jam! Shame it is in the middle of nowhere.

No pay and display notices. Got £100 fine for parking even though we were paying customers! Otherwise, standard Holiday Inn.

My thoughts at first being situated in Crick and out of the way it'd be rather basic but it exceeded my expectations and me and my partner had a wonderful stay, it's absolutely spacious, beautiful and cosy inside and very welcoming staff who are friendly indeed. One thing I must note is the prices of the drinks at the bar, we had a glass of White Zinfandel and a double JD and Coke which came to £16.50 which is very extortionate, apart from that the room was absolutely lovely the bed was comfortable.

Just off motorway junction. Practical comfortable place for an impromptu meeting. Pleasant efficient service. Oddity was ceilings being repainted directly over tea/coffee prep area that was serving to guests. We didn't see any paint drip but there was nothing to prevent it.

Stayed over the Christmas period with three children and my wife. The staff couldn't do more for us, food was great and the atmosphere was fantastic.

Have stayed about a dozen times at Holiday Inn this year in various locations, four times in Rugby. Tidy hotel, lovely staff, good food and drink, very nice comfortable rooms.

Nice hotel, didn't actually stay here. Visited for a 2 day course in one of the conference rooms. Really good coffee.

Lovely hotel. Easy to find with a large free car park. Staff friendly and our bedroom was at the back overlooking the fields so very quiet. Bedroom, modern and clean with a fabulus walk in shower. Swimming pool a good size and great jacuzzi. Didn't eat here so can't comment about the restaurant. A very enjoyable 1 night stay. Thank you.

Attended the hotel for a function being held there, staff were welcoming and helpful, although we didn't stay for a meal as our event had outside catering the menu looked interesting and varied, friends who were staying over at the hotel seemed happy with their rooms.

Convenient location, great gym and pool. Foods prerty good too. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Cant ask for more than that.

We had our wedding here on the 17th June and it was perfect. Julie Ann orgnised and sorted everything beforehand and even got the extra fruit etc for pimms in for us. The staff were fantastic on the day and made everything run brilliantly and couldn't do enough for us. The food was amazing and huge compliments to the chef who sorted out food for our vegan friends in the evening. Highly recommend having the hog roast in the evening as it topped the night off.
The house dj was great, the champagne nd sparkles package is what we went for and was an absolute bargain for what's included.
The weather was perfect which meant we could fully use the massive grounds for photos and we can't wait to get them back from the photographer.
We put some decorations up for the wedding and the staff kindly took them down for us the next morning.
The only one thing that I could say they could have improved on as that there was only one lady behind the bar and she was rushed off her feet with pretty much a constant queue, bless her.

This hotel was randomly selected by national holidays as we were at Silverstone for the weekend. I must say I was very impressed. Very clean, very modern and I would definitely recommend the short walk up to the village of crick for a swift pint. Beautiful village.

The staff were wonderful and so helpful. The room was very clean and had everything in it including a hairdryer etc… The conference rooms were lovely and the food was good. Cooked breakfast was not wonderful but all the other bits were great.

The hotel staff could not have been nicer — was recognised as a Priority Club member and given chocolate! However the room was tiny, only a shower, and the window wouldn't close. Husband asked about the window and we were given another room straight away — this time an executive room, which was a bit bigger. Clean and comfortable, though it's a shame that there is no free breakfast. The staff were the best thing about the hotel!

The location of this hotel is fantastic, literally 2 minutes from J18 M1. Pulling into the car park first impressions were very good, very nicely presented grounds and hotel also. We didn't stop over night so cannot comment on the room's but we did have a meal there which was very good indeed. Overall I would definitely recommend this Holiday Inn and pay them a return visit!

A warm and friendly welcome. The rooms were spacious and modern after recent referbishments. I was staying with work so didnt have much time with a late arrival and very early start the next day but a great stay.

Nice refurb of bathrooms, very comfortable.

Bit of a mix up over dinner in the restaurant and we were woken in the middle of the night by another guest who had been told the wrong room number at check-in. However, the hotel proactively gave us money off our food and drink bills to make up for it. Since the hotel were so good at putting things right I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again and would recommend it to others.

Room had been recently modernised, work was still going on in the hotel. Evening meal was not up to the standard expected but service was friendly and efficient.

Beware! Arrived at the hotel and Inquired about a room but hotel was fully booked at the time, a few weeks later I receive £100 parking fine! Was told by the hotel that it was because 'I was not a paying customer' and that there is nothing they can do about it. Tried to explain to the Parking fine company that this is simply a misunderstanding as I was an inquiring customer looking for a place to stay but apparently this isn't a valid excuse and are now threatening court action. Simply for inquiring about a hotel room! I wish I'd have kept on driving! An extremely bad way to do business!

Clean and well equipped gym, though rather small. Can be very busy during peak times. Gym staff very helpful and welcoming.

Visited to meet with a colleague in the lounge. Lovely staff. Tea and coffee brought quickly. Cold in parts of lounge area from open doors to reception.

Rude staff long queue at the restaurant and keep running out of food Will have to camp overnight to make sure we get a breakfast Not impressed.

Typical Holiday Inn. Room was clean and warm. Next door to Aldi and Tesco if you need a bit of shopping. Nice pub just down the road for cheaper eating than in the hotel, which is very expensive.

Stayed 1 night at the weekend (August 2014). There was a wedding party and some kind of conference, staff were very busy but the service in the restaurant was great. Room was warm and clean, same for the changing facilities in the gym and my boys loved the pool (there was no time restriction for children in the pool either).
