Ideal location for Elstree Studios. Plenty of parking. We arrived late in the evening but were still welcomed by the staff and quickly checked in. The room is large with a comfy bed, desk, hanging space, shelves, TV and tea making options. The ensuite was a bit like a pod. Wet room with a large shower and plenty of hot water. The room is clean. We stayed two nights and would definitely stay at this hotel again.

The hotel is situated in a nice area not far from local shops and the train station which links Borehamwood to King's Cross in about 20 minutes. The staff is very helpful and do their job in a professional way, caring about guests. We stayed in this hotel for one week and we felt at home during our stay. We really appreciated the personal touch in the room at our arrival and the kindness of the staff, especially Gabriel and Aitor. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks Ibis Borehamwood for rendering our stay unforgettable!

Room was spacious, bed comfortable, the AC was great as it was very hot weather. Breakfast was good (typical English). Very friendly and helpful staff. Well recommend for the short stay.

I spent one night there in order to watch an away football team play at Borehamwood. I had a friendly welcome when I went to reception and the hotel room was clean and quite. The bed itself was very comfy and cosy and I slept very well! Given a four star review as I did not have the full experience (i. E. I did not have any food there and I only spent one night there etc…) It was very close to town and the train station too :)

I had a beautiful stay here! The staff were so nice and accommodating after I had a really bad experience at Village Hotel. The room was nice and clean and the bed was comfortable.

Nice staff. Clean and comfortable. If you can't park in the free parking lot ask in the reception for a voucher to park in the civic offices car park close to the hotel.

We were 4days with our dog (boxer) in the house. Topp. In addition to the small hotel car park there is a large fee-paying car park. It's under control. 5 minutes walk away is a small park. The hotel staff was very friendly and extremely helpful, the rooms were clean and German TV program we could also receive. Our daughter has v. A. Praised the good breakfast (English braekfast). Bus (opposite) and train (short walk) are easily accessible. Highly recommended.

Had an 8 night stay while working locally. My room was quiet, and despite working late into the morning was undisturbed. The room was very clean and all the staff were great and very helpful. There is a leisure Center next door, a big and other shops locally. For the price I'm very happy.

Lovely hotel, accommodating to Strictly fanatics needs! Only down side is that it was very noisy overnight, inside and outside the hotel. I guess the walls are thin and the public car park out the back sounds like a bit of a local hangout late at night? Free parking advertised is very limited, but the alternative provided is only £1 per day.

A bit noisy at night but that's more to do with the other guests than the hotel. The staff were just lovely, the room was cosy & clean with plenty of tea bags. The breakfast was really good, lots of choice & refilled regularly. An extra bonus is that breakfast is served until 12 at weekends! Perfect to come back to after a 4am start to queue for Strictly tickets as it is less than 5 minutes walk from the studio. There are limited car park spaces but you can park in the public car park for £1 if you get a voucher from reception. I'll definitely stay there again if I manage to get Strictly tickets again next year!

On Sunday was Invited to attend 50 years celebration of Ibis around the world. Friendly staff, great jazz music, wonderful drinks especially the non alcoholic cocktails … cleanliness observed from lounge to lavatory. Hospitable Manager with the perfect attitude. Greeted us warmly and hurried to catch us as we were leaving to find out how we felt and asked for any improvements. Response was "None this evening". Even when I asked for drinkable hot water and the young service staff didn't have a clue. I presume No one has ever requested it before. Then the bar tender came after 3rd attempt with the perfect hot water. Willing to learn and please the clientele.

Great one night stay for the price! Easy check-in/out. Friendly helpful staff, breakfast was good, usual English/Continental fare. Great room, clean and quiet. We also got a free bottle of sparkling wine! We were using public transport so walked from/to Elstree & Borehamwood station, its about 15-minutes.

Stayed midweek on a business trip. Nice hotel. Easy check in. Decent sized rooms with all the amenities required for an overnight stay. The water pressure for the shower could be a bit better but it gets the job done. There is a small bar/restaurant which serves nice light meals at a reasonable price. Drinks at the bar are also reasonably priced for a hotel. The staff on reception (Paulina and her male colleague), who also work as the restaurant/bar staff were welcoming, helpful and professional. If I was to visit Watford again, I'd happily use the Ibis.

Booked for location to Harry Potter Studio Tour and London Centre. Location good, borehamwood is cheap and cheerful but bit run down. Hotel nice but room very hot even end of September and air cooler not working.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, parking was fine. Some was free the main car park was £1 paid at the desk which was fine.

The pillows were flat and didn't smell the best. The phone In the room wasn't working. The staff were brilliant tho.

The shower tap in the bathroom was detached and moved a lot. The room smelt like the bathroom and stale urine, the bed was hard. The service was appalling. Yes there is parking here… All 15 spaces for a hotel with over 100 rooms. Told we couldn't order hot food off the dinner menu at 1730 until after 1800 yet less then 10 minutes later watched a staff member take the same food we couldn't order to a table. Male member of staff more interested in using his mobile while checking in once he decided to appear from the rear of the bar. The only saving grace I have seen here is a young central European waitress called paulina going way above and beyond the duties of her job and helping an elderly man with whatever he needed. Would I recommend this hotel? Not if your unfamiliar with hotels. If all you need is a place to sleep then you'll be fine.

Home impeccable good size and clean room.

The staff were friendly, and helpful. Although not all spoke very good English, even at the check-in desk. The room was fairly basic with two comfy single beds and a large bathroom, but not a lot else. The included breakfast was very nice and there was plenty on offer. The one negative of the stay was when three really rude guys (not guests) come into the bar area at night and were clearly looking for trouble. They were threatening one group of guests, and trying to take food and drinks off of another group. The staff were very slow to do anything about the situation and even then they took a long time to eventually all the three to leave the premises. The bar incident aside it was a pleasant if basic stay.

Room and facilities v good. Fairly quiet. Get cooked breakfast early as it dries and over cooks. Continental breakfast excellent. Good facilities all around the hotel. Pool, spa, health club, pub with food. All around an enjoyable experience.

Staff were friendly and the rooms clean and adequate if a little small. Comfortable bed. Location was good for us being on the main road just down from Elstree Studios. There is a bar, it stops serving alcohol after midnight.

The hotel is clean and tidy. The staff is friendly, courteous and helpful. Much to recommend for a getaway to London. Only the street in front of the House is at night something loud.

Customer service was good but I got charged twice. Room smelt bad and for £109 it was overpriced I will do a bit of shopping about next time.

Disgusted at the way the staff spoke and tret their customers. The bar os like a youth centre for young people who get drunk like its the staffs own personal night club. Heating didnt work and maid left window open every morning (winter) dispite been asked not to. Shocking. Absolutly shocking. Never again will I stop here and quite possible Ibis all together.

Wife and friend like bar in this place bit to much think she and her friend might have drinking problem or having a affair. Great place.

The bed was 2 singles pushed together, with very thin mattresses, not the most comfortable of sleeps! Lots of noise through the night. Staff eager to help, but not efficiently. Breakfast, however, was the best part, I recommend the croissants especially.

A good hotel, in a great location for Elstree. Limited parking, however they have permits for the large car park behind the hotel, so not a problem. Everything you'd expect from a chain like ibis.

Clean and reasonably priced for our needs.

I have stayed twice now and have booked a third time. No I am not a sad person who loves Borehamwood (I had to live there for 27 years) BUT I do have friends in the area my husband has his works head office there and its a great base for getting into Central London without the Central London hotel price tag. So this is why I book it. The staff are friendly and the place is clean and tidy. You get what you should at least for the money and the bar is nice enough and quiet if you want a drink before heading off somewhere. The breakfast is adequate as well. Hot options of a full English and pastries and cereal. So all in all pretty good I think. I am happy to keep booking and I am a as a Le Club Accorhotels member now (you can join for free) I earn points for staying at any Ibis or Novotel hotel under the Accor banner. So its worth signing up. Oh and I must just add the new beds are amazing. I am a terrible sleeper but I had one of the best nights sleep in as long as I can remember on the double bed here.

We booked into the Hotel on the 20th May for one night stay and left that night, we had already paid for our stay but forfeited the cost as the room mean to be executive room and the tiny bathroom "plonked in the corner was dirty especially the bathroom which had what looked and smelt like excrement on the door and handle, the toilet had been used and not flushed and over all it was very dirty, We spoke to the receptionist about this and she really was not interested in hearing or even sending someone to inspect the room, I know its a budget hotel, but for the money I expect it to be at least clean a very, very disappointing short visit.

This is our second stay in the hotel and both occasions the staff are great and the more is immaculate and smells very nice, comfortable beds and a good price.

Had a very positive experience last weekend. The staff were very helpful and courteous, especially Laura on the front desk. The room was clean and ideal for our needs. The breakfast was surprisingly good value as £7.50 seemed expensive but it had everything plus good coffee. Free parking with vouchers for the neighbouring carpark if the car park is full. Very Good.

This is a modern Ibis hotel just out of central London. It is about 1km from the Elstree National rail station. The service to St Pancras rail station in central London. The room is a bit small but is well decorated. The bathroom has a plastic feel but is clean.

We stayed at this hotel for short time. It was a very good experience. Great location close to everything. Very nice and clean. We will recommend and we will be back. Thank you IBIS G. Antoine.
