Our experience of the hotel was mainly positive, we booked for a one night stay with breakfast following a family funeral with refreshments being held at the hotel after the service. Staff were very friendly and welcoming and even arranged our room be made available a little earlier in order to get ready. The bar is well stocked with a wide selection of beer, cider & spirits although be prepared for London prices. We were originally booked into room 7 on the ground floor which was well equipped to provide a comfortable stay with large en-suite bathroom. There were a few things that needed attention within the room itself, clearly tea or coffee had been spilt on the carpet which had stained, scuff marks on the walls here and there which could be easily addressed by the cleaners along with some areas in the bathroom which were being overlooked (i. E chrome shower head and pipe work not clean & very loose toilet flush button) Don’t get me wrong the room was clean but these small things being missed make a big difference. Due to a disturbance in room 6 on the evening of our stay (Which was in no way any fault of the hotel) we were offered room 15 on the first floor by the manager on duty who was very nice and helpful. Again a very well presented room this time with a view of the Thames and a balcony room was very clean well maintained with a spacious en-suite. Only fault TV would not work, apart from that it was absolutely fine. Great full English breakfast to top it off the next morning. Overall a good hotel which we would happily recommend and stay at again.
