Excellent check in and out. Room a little tired but clean and spacious. 2 mins from tube and excellent amenities in the local. Excellent value for money. Would stay again.

Wonderful hotel, nice people, nice place. Love it.

Night porter was not helpful but the room and breakfast was lovely.

My husband and I stayed only one night, and we didn't do much other than sleep in the room; however, the receptionist was very pleasant and helpful on both checking in, and out. The room was elegantly proportioned, nicely furnished and decorated, without being overdone.
I thought it reasonably priced, and I would consider staying there again.

We have booked for 2 nights. The roomservice of the The cleanliness leaves something to be desired. The bed was just made in the morning and that was it. No new water (is only there on the day of arrival, after that you have to pay for it), no shower gel, the floor in the bathroom sticks, the shower tub is very small and was probably only briefly wiped dry, there are still hairs hanging in the tub.
Showers take a long time, hardly any water pressure.
All in all, we will certainly not be coming back!
We always descend on Best Western hotels, but we've never seen anything like it! There are much better Best Western hotels in London.

Excellent location and good character of building. Good rates. Unfortunately, no air conditioning, and building is really old meaning that the rooms smell of moth balls, the furniture is badly outdated (one piece was outright broken), and any noise from above rooms comes through loudly. Shower head in our room didn't work properly (it would not stay up). It was partially fixed after we complained. No lock on bathroom door which was a problem with 4 people in a family. Building needs a renovation urgently.

We loved it here. Close to the underground for getting us downtown while staying in what felt like a quaint neighborhood. Enjoyed going down stairs for the breakfast every morning. The building it's self is older but has a charm about it. Our room for three was tight and so was the restroom but we were comfortable. No air conditioning (fan included), don't know what it would felt like if the weather was warn, it was pleasant during our stay and we liked opening the windows. There is a nice lobby or waiting area with a baby grand piano for guests to play — though it is in serious need of tuning. Restaurants and general stores about a 5-15 min walk. On week days there were open air stands offering various international hot food freshly prepared just outside the underground — very tasty. Nice.

We are a family of four and stayed in the family room in the basement. No problem. There are grills at the window and we feel safe. The small sofa is a bit old and will benefit from a repair, though.

We stayed my girlfriend and I 4 nights in this really cute hotel in classic Victorian home nestled in a typical English quiet neighborhood… A short walk from the metro, great breakfast and generous friendly staff! Recommended!

Cannot remember much about this place except it's meandering passages and staircases. My room was big with on suite There is a lift or 2. An old building not built as a hotel but manages to retain some of its earlier charm. Perfect base for a London visit.

My stay was very good, I had no inconvenience although I did not breakfast in the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Hotel near Metro or bus. Shops nearby to do some shopping. From choice to breakfast which allows to keep well until lunch. The Trump of the hotel is in its charm so British and its position to visit the corner and discover another face of London and the hypercentre.

A great hotel right next to tube stop. The area was nice and quiet. Bed was very comfortable and room was large enough and clean. Parking on site is great if you're there early enough.

This hotel very close to the Swiss cottage tube station and is an ideal base to stay if you are visiting London. The place is a bit dated, but everything is clean and it was very warm in winter when we stayed. Staff are also very friendly. I think this is excellent value for money as the rooms are very large too. Our bathroom was enormous. Also good facilities, iron in every room, tea, coffee, biscuits and lots of TV channels. Not amazing but a good honest value place to stay.

The hotel is within easy reach. Right on the underground and a supermarket is also very close. The hotel is very nice and the rooms are already big. Breakfast is sufficient and on request there is also freshly prepared.

Charming hotel very brittish and very well located, in a quiet neighborhood and the Metro stop to scarce 200 meters from the hotel.

Amazing location in walking distance to Swiss Cottage station and a very nice and calm region. Hotel with great structure and big room with very cosy atmosphere. Strongly recommend it.

Great choice. A beautiful Victorian style charming hotel in a quiet and beautiful residential area.

This hotel is reminiscent of Fawlty Towers especially when 'Basil' is on duty at reception. The plumbing is an issue low pressure water making it difficult to control water temperature — so either a cold or boiling hot shower. In the summer they keep your windows closed and turn the radiators on full making your room unbearably hot. Nice thing is they provide a free newspaper and some staff are friendly. The linen and rooms are clean and it is a perfect location for work and central London. Just some minor improvements to hospitality would give this hotel a 4th star!

Really easy to find from the tube station, and really convenient for the course I was attending in the area. Bit of a maze inside but once you find your room it is very well equipped without being modern. Good breakfast selection and staff have been really friendly so far.

Went for a business event. Rooms were spacious and well suited to the activities planned. Minor interaction with hotel staff but all were helpful and diligent where applicable.

My wife and her friend were treated in worst possible way at this hotel by rudest receptionist Ian Jackman. Report of this incident was made to Christian Holve, the manager of this hotel, however, he's proved to be most useless manager I've spoken with in my entire life. He made a poor attempt to apologise over the phone, but refused to do so on Tripadvisor's website. Once great hotel is falling apart under this people's management who must not work in hospitality at all. Steer clear!

We enjoyed 2 nights at this hotel. It is old-fashioned and traditional with ornate furniture and paintings. Our room was very big with a large bathroom too. The beds were really comfortable. There was a lot of character to the room with an old wardrobe but the bathroom was probably the only thing modern. The room was very warm despite the radiators not being on, but this may be because December was particularly mild. There is a small lift and the Wi-Fi worked well most of the time. The staff were helpful. Would recommend others to stay here too.

They have the best toilets in London the hotel is very clean the staff are also dressed very nice and have a great attitude plus it's the only Hotel in London that allows you to take sweets on the way out.

Very good hotel, which is just a few steps from the subway station. The service was perfectly, the breakfast buffet extensive and good.

Myself and 3 friends stayed here this weekend, we had a great stay. The staff are nice and friendly and the breakfast was first class! not often I say that about anyones breakfasts but my own! but little things like beans coming in little pots so everything is not soggy I really like! Only 2 bad points — we requested fans and never received them (very warm rooms) and our room was number 6 and we could hear everyone in reception walking about this woke me up at 7.00am All in all this was a nice hotel close to the tube but also close to lLndon (£18 in a black cab).

I loved the pampered service — great rooms as well.

A lovely place! Was there for 10 days on a choir tour and spent many afternoons in my room with the lovely windows open letting the cool breeze roll in. There is a wonderful french little cafe just over on Finchley that's really worth taking a trip to just to get a freshy crossiant and some fantastic coffee. Short walk away from Underground access. Just minutes from Abbey Road studios if you stop at St. Johns Wood. Charming, Cosy, and would definitely stay there here again.

The hotel is really near the underground station (2 minutes from it) in a nice quiet street. Nearby, however, you can find some stores and different places to have a snack. The staff is helpful and kind. And I really appreciated the fact that luggage storage is secure and well-organized even though it is free. The bedroom and bathroom were clean and quite spacoius. Negative aspects: the lift is small and breakfast is not included (but it is available at a reasonable price).
