Great staff, very helpful! I forgot my bow tie and the concierge had one available and even helped me to put it on! Perfect! I would have given 5 stars if the luxury room wouldn't have a tiny bathroom where I cannot even open the door while being inside because it is so small.

I use the bar/cafe downstairs very often for meetings. It’s very cozy and comfortable. My favourite is the rose bud tea.

Elegant hotel. Staff failed to switch over to air con fron heat in my room, despite several asks.

Flawless 4 night stay. Wonderful, warm, courteous staff, amazing room (thx for the upgrade! ), top notch breakfast and a 1st class cocktail bar.

What's not to love about this hotel. Beautiful interiors and courteous service in the thick of one of London's best shopping areas. Walking distance to many good restaurants and bars, as well as the restaurants in-house of course — we enjoyed the sushi restaurant the most. The concierge was able to get me in to a salon for a haircut with very little notice on a Saturday so if you need someone to pull some strings for you pop downstairs and see the Westbury concierge desk ;)

Good size rooms in a nearly perfect location in Westend of London. Very friendly staff. Breakfast at Alyn Williams restaurant was excellent — with SPG platinum membership, all the a la carte menu were covered through complimentary breakfast benefit. Two things I found not up to standard. After renovation it seems they forgot to install tower hooks in the bathroom. And honestly business centre on 1st floor is a joke. I felt suffocated in that tiny cell-like room. All in all, I would highly recommend and love to go back.

I’ve been coming here many years for business and pleasure. One of the great hotels in London. From the guests to the staff, always a great experience and never disappoints. Will continue to come for many years to come! Would definitely recommend.

Really enjoyed this hotel. Fairly luxurious accommodations, excellent Mayfair location, and some rooms with great views up and down Conduit street, and across the rooftops of London from our seventh floor room. Will definitely be back.

I am familiar with this area and stay here when in London. Average room are small but have everything you need. Staff is very helpful.

Stayed at this hotel with my wife for 10 nights in March 2018. The staff were very friendly and helpful. If you do not pick up the small disadvantages, the hotel made the impression of a comfortable, very comfortable to stay in the center of London Place. A pleasant impression was made by professionalism and responsiveness of the staff, at the same time it should be noted that the hotel does not save on the number of staff: I have never seen queues either to the front-desk or to the concierge. There is always someone to open the door, to bring luggage, etc. For a long time visited the restaurants and the bar of the hotel-everywhere have great fun. Especially from the luxury cocktails at the Polo Bar. We also loved the breakfasts and the choice and quality of the food, but especially the responsiveness and efficiency of the staff. Our very weak English does not prevented us to understand each other.
I liked the design of the hall and our room: noble, cozy, discreet. And in terms of price-quality-it is, perhaps, one of the most pleasant hotels in the center of the metropolis.

Super customer service, excellent location — steps away from Regents Street. Food is so, so, though.

I love the 2 concierge who opened the door for me I felt as VIP than reception staff looked organised and all staff walking around looked well groomed and organised.

Stayed overnight in this old well-deserved London hotel, opened exactly 60 years ago. Perfect location opposite Sotheby's, close to all boutiques and Bond Street. Great famous polo Bar on the ground floor where art dealers gather after bidding on Sotheby's, a decent Japanese restaurant and a friendly concierge. And that's where the good ends. Poor breakfast and la carte, musty smell in the rooms, furniture in the rooms and public areas scratched, upholstery jammed, tile in some places cracked, paint was peeling off. In short, the hotel, despite the declared every year reconstruction should be cleaned up. Forte family why not do it. I don't recommend living here.

I expected more from a hotel with such a name and reputation. Service can definitely improve. Room service was very good and the room service food is really good, but staff didn't always have the best attitude. Requests were often not seen to and had to be requested a few times before they would do what was asked. Not very child friendly.

Nice bar, old school atmosphere.

I used to be a regular at this hotel for many years and it was great but for the past 6 months the standard of management has gone down hill. Rooms are assigned sporadically, high prices lands you with accessible rooms backing to air conditioning ducts and a view of a wall. Room 125 what a disaster — anyway myself and all our office staff from London, Europe and the US will avoid at all cost. Being part of the SPG luxury Hotels Collection — needs to be seriously reconsidered. What a shame! But hey will take our business somewhere else…

A mixed stay at The Westbury. We arrived to be told they could not find our booking! We had to get my husband's company, who had booked the room, to call up and give details. Our room was ok, but lacked things like a full length mirror, which is desirable when dressing for an important night out. We were woken by a hoover early outside our door and delivered the wrong newspaper. Our stay finished with a disappointing and expensive breakfast. The service was very slow, waiting a long time to have our selection taken and even longer to wait for our tea and pancakes! If we had been in a hurry, we would have walked out.
The hotel could be so much more as the location is perfect.
Improved service would help and better communication between staff and customers would be a good start.

Great location, good greeting from the door to the reception and your room. Room sizes are very "london" typically small, no complimentary water for an expensive booking price … japonese restaurant is good, room service is good/fair.

The hotel maintains a good overall standard; and leads in some respects (free mobile use for guests). Admirably located. Both restaurants are comfortably above average. The well-managed bar is a handy little venue for late night off-the-street cocktails. Nice brass-work too. True story: I once put up two friends here for the night. They were seriously late for lunch the follwing day and had twins exactly nine months later.

If you book through SPG be prepared for them to not have your reservation. I booked 2 free nights and they tried to charge me £450. They also ignore the do not disturb signs. I will not stay here again.

I visited the Polo Bar at this hotel with two female friend for some drinks and food. We had the most wonderful treatment from all the staff from the minute we arrived. They took care of out costs and served us drinks very quickly. The food menu came quickly and when served it was delicious. The drinks were perfect and the rose wine was perfectly chilled.
Very cosy atmosphere, will recommend.

There for a conference, everything was fine. Food was good if a bit cold. Good location.

Staff and service are fine. What I am tired of seeing is business class hotels having the absolute worst internet they could buy. In this day and age I expect it to be better than the broadband I could get from AOL 15 years ago. Spend money on this if you are hoping to attract business travelers.

Location was great and the staff were very attentive, however for a 5 star hotel I found the condition of the room to be submitted standard and the prices inside the hotel were extortionate.

The staff I is the definite standout. They have been amazing, from general courtesy to the details of bringing up a cake for our honeymoon. Rooms, amenities, and everything about the hotel is great but the people make it.

The positives — amazing location within walking distance to shopping, great food, attractions and transit. The front door staff are very attentive. The hotel itself is very very clean, and the rooms (towels/bedsheets etc) very clean as well. They have a number of food options within the hotel both in-room dining and through Polo Bar and the restaurants. Tons of food options immediately outside as well (try Piccolo or Sketch). The negatives — staff at restaurants and Polo Bar were very rude. The rooms are small compared to North American standards. No turn-down service provided. The bathrooms are even smaller — and they really need to upgrade the showers as they have a filthy shower curtain. There was construction on the floor above and/or below us so if we wanted to sit in the room during the day — that wasn't feasible. Be sure to ask for a quiet room. The stores in the area are very high end so be ready to drop a few thousand dollars if shopping here. The hotel staff are not super helpful and won't give you tips like "take transit to the airport — its actually cheaper and quicker! ".

I stay at the Westbury Mayfair whenever I am in London. I call it my 'London home' because the staff and facilities just make you feel at home. The breakfast is the best I have found anywhere because each meal is superbly cooked for you… no buffet heat lamps etc. Three excellent restaurants, two with Michelin stars, plus the superb Polio Bar, make this hotel a true standout.

Does not live to 5* hotel standards because; 1) Old, outdated and poor standard of rooms 2) Have to pay for tea/coffee making facilities (Ridiculous in todays standards) 3) Have to pay for Wi-Fi 4) Small rooms 5) Thin walls 6) Tiny bathroom 7) Over priced hotel and have to pay for every amenity which you would not expect in a 5* hotel Would not be staying here again.

Forget the fact it's a hotel restaurant, it's brilliant. Impeccable service, nice surroundings (though often a little quiet), amazing food and more courses (for every course you order you'll get at least one amuse bouche or random extra course) than you can cope with. Guaranteed to impress (and if you've got a Taste card it's good value! ).

We have been in April of 2008.5 stars has nothing. Small rooms, bathrooms and old plumbing problems, rooms that you hear everything that makes the one next to it. We had a problem with parking the car, an employee of the hotel told us where we could park, and that information cost us a fine of 120 pounds, that the hotel has not wanted to know anything. By the way, the concierge must be “smeared”, because we control a car 3 times more expensive and further away than the one that was on the side of the hotel. By all this I do not recommend this hotel in any case. The only thing acceptable is the location.
