Comfortable room and beds. Great friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast and above all easy access to Paddington train and underground stations.

Well below the expectations given by Booking. Super small rooms, with no windows and some practically no shower. No air conditioning. The only positive note the location in a good neighborhood.

The 3 person room is only for families with small kids. There is no room to move, have your suitcases or turn around in the shower. The stair cases are very narrow, so it is difficult to get to the room. Otter guests also left the hotel, because of misinformation in the photos.

I would like to leave a review regarding the staff. My dad stays here when he is in London. Recently he became seriously ill (nothing to do with his stay) and needed emergency care. The reception staff were wonderful. They went more than above and beyond. They phoned for an ambulance and when the call handler refused an ambulance they rushed him to hospital and, without been dramatic, they saved his life. If it wasn't for the wonderful staff here. I wouldn't have my dad with me now. There is no praise high enough for these people. Thank you from myself and all my family. And my dad will see you again very soon.

Tiny tiny tiny worn out crappy rooms for a ridiculous price. Small very squeaky bed. Utter crap, I will never stay here again. One star because at least it was clean. Did I mention how tiny and expensive this place is?

Friendly, 2 minutes from Paddington, but too small room, cold (Windows do not close, no hot water in the morning), overall little more comfort than in a Einmannzelt, not grade cheap.

We liked everything about The Cardiff. The staff at Reception and in the Dining Room were all absolutely great — helpful and friendly.
On our day of leaving, they organised a good cab to take us to St Pancras International station and if you wish luggage can be safely left all day after vacating the room. The rooms were amazing and very clean and were well serviced every day. The location in leafy Norfolk Square (no through traffic and lovely small park to chill) is fantastic with plenty of good restaurants nearby (we particularly liked the Italian “San Marco”) and there is long term parking nearby and short term parking in the road outside the hotel. The nearest tube is only about 5 minutes maximum walk and several buses stop nearby with good access to all areas of London. The Breakfast was a very varied choice and ample to start the day. All in all The Cardiff is brilliant and excellent value for money and we would therefore very highly recommend in all respects.

A bit overpriced for the quality of the accommodation but they could probably justify as of there proximity to Paddington Station and other transport, basically good, comfortable accommodation, staff very friendly, good and conpetent. Would stay there again if I got back to London. J. B,

Good location Outward of beautiful presence and invites very in obsolete. Very small rooms like the bathrooms. Our bed was attached to the wall with no possibility of moving on one side.
The linens and linens are not changed every day. There is no closet in the room.

Excellent and well placed in Padington. Attention, no elevator and rooms on 6 levels. I would recommend room 12a.

Nice location but no disabled people access and steepy stairs. Rooms are cosy but very very small. Staff are kind and ready to help. Quite expensive for the level of comfort.

Do not leave your bank details with these people! They took 2 payments out of my account which I had confirmed by my bank but yet they say they didn’t. They now won’t reply to my emails or answer the phone. Total disgrace. While it’s a cheap place to stay to get your head down I would never ever recommend it as it is certainly not worth the £130 that they charged me!

Good, chap, clean hotel very close to Paddington Station. Rooms were clean, staff were friendly and breakfast was included. Rooms were small and bathroom was tiny but you get what you pay for.

The traditional low-style aparthotel without elevators is very tasty. Bed soft bathroom clean, especially like shampoo light fragrance, recommended. There's no need to worry about a waiter helping carry baggage to the upper floors.

My second stayed at this hotel. You can't beat the location of this hotel. 5 to 10 mins Walking distance to Hyde Park, Oxford st, Soho, China Town and Leicester Square. 2 mins walk to Paddington station. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is very basic and hotel room is so small but clean. The bathroom is that small I couldn't even wash my teeth properly. Shower control handle is so old around early 1970s, very stiff, I couldn't turn it on and off. Everytime I have a shower I need my partner to turn it on and off during our 4 nights stay. No aircon for summer, stuffy, no ventilation, tried to open window before we go to rest for fresh air but no luck. TV and Wi-Fi connection is so bad. Keep dropping off. No lift. We paid 220 GBP a night for family room (4 adults). The hotel need updated seriously. Arianna — Perth Western Australia.

Affordable price with a great breakfast and good location because it's close to the subway, but it has too tiny rooms that may cause a claustrophobic felling.

There was one staff who was really rude. I asked her to help me cut an orange but she refused and told me to cut it myself. Overall the place is not that bad. The bathroom is really small and the room is really small.

Nice and very close to the Metro.

Great location, just a short walk from Paddington station and lots of lovely restaurants and shops in the immediate vacinity. Receptionists were lovely and there was a secure room I could store my bags in before check in. The room was lovely and everywhere was clean. The only downside was the really intermittent Wi-Fi, I was on the very top floor and had to lug my bags up 6 flights of stairs. Parts of the seams on the bedding had come away and the bed itself was pretty creaky. Overall I had a really pleasant stay, the price was good and will definitely stay there again!

Small rooms great breakfast for a few days.

Location is good. Rly station, hospital, shopping, restaurants. Lively. No lift a big minus.

Nice and clean hotel, single room is a little bit small. Room at the street side is sometimes very noisy. Continental breakfast is very good.

Room was clean and nice decor, only compliant is when I went to get my bags from the luggage area it stunk of cigarettes.

Nice clean hotel, has all the facilities you'll need and it's close to many restaurants. Paddington station is nearby so it's easy to get around London from this hotel. They even have a very useful set of recommended places to visit.

Stayed for two nights in a single room in July 2015. Two minutes from Paddington Station in an area with lots of places to eat, drink and buy snacks etc. I had a single room which was pretty tiny but fine for just sleeping in. Pleased the room had free Wi-Fi, a hairdryer and fan, which was handy for the hot weather. Pleasant staff, luggage storage and a hot breakfast for under £100 per night in central London = thumbs up.

Grand total for visit London, taking into account prices in the capital, the truth that is very well. It is also next to Paddington station, which makes it very easy to reach from the airport and to then be able to move around the city. Breakfast is typical "English breakfast" very full, also let you remove something you don't like and put you over anything you prefer and all the toast you can eat. If I go back to London without a doubt he would return to this hotel.

Very comfortable rooms, an excelent breakfast, complete and the best of it, is the location.

We have stayed several times at The Cardiff over the past eight years. Although the rooms and bathrooms are very tiny, this is the normal in the Paddington area. We have always found that the friendliness of the staff more than makes up for lack of space. Regarding the changing of linen, you really only have to ask for what you need — extra towels will be provided, also bathmats. Extremely helpful, good breakfast and location you cannot beat.

The single rooms are very small, but comfortable and very clean. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Very good location. Just 2 minutes from the tube and the train station.

Very friendly staff, who gave us the best possible room for our needs. We had our one year old with us, and needed to be able to fit a cot and a baby buggy in the room, so they gave us one on the first floor right next to the reception. The breakfast was a bit so-so, but all in all our stay was very pleasan.

The rooms were clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful, with great restaurant recommendations. Bed wasn't very comfortable, the bathroom was tiny, and the food was just OK. The stair climb to the room was steep and long. The service definitely makes up for the (small) shortcomings. Two minute walk to Paddington station.

I stayed at the Cardiff for 2 nights with a group of lads. We found the Cardiff was surperb value for money. It is located right next to the Paddintgon Tube Station which is very convenient. The staff were very helpfuland we got a good breaky in the mornings. The rooms were not particulary massive and neither was the bathroom. But when you are paying as little as we did for the stay, you cannot expect the Ritz or the Hilton. We will definately consider staying at the Cardiff again.
