Went to the bar for a bit of a rest after sightseeing. Had a “freshly “ squeezed orange juice (it wasn’t freshly squeezed, it was bitter from sitting around too long) and tea served with a side of warm milk WTF! Paid £20.25 including a service charge. Very pretentious and overly expensive.

A beautiful hotel, incredibly friendly and helpful staff, delicious food and a fantastic location. Thank you for a wonderful relaxing stay.

Always loved visiting your hotel but visited yesterday for afternoon tea and wow 🤩 it was a wonderful experience Thankyou. Will definitely visit again next year.

Visited the haybarn spa, absolutely fantastic service and treatment. I took my niece for a manicure for her birthday and the staff were friendly and made sure she felt special and the occasion was marked. Definitely one of my favourite spas in London, the pool area (which I used on a previous visit) is also really nice.

If you love fashion you have to visit the Berkeley for their high fashion afternoon tea. The afternoon tea is based on current trends including designers like Vera Wang, Tom Ford etc. The decor is beautiful and everything was designed purposefully. The service was great, they explained everything about the food and the fashion inspired pieces. We had a lovely time here and I would highly recommend it!

Beautiful place to eat, have a drink or stay. The food in the restaurant is great and for the price is excellent quality. The bar and restaurant has excellent service and ambience. Would reccomend it for a romantic evening out.

It is our place in London to stay, has undergone a spectacular renovation, rooms are quiet, spacious and comfortable. Convenient to Sloan Street shopping and Hyde Park. Underground is a block away. The staff is top notch and very helpful.

Absolutely excellent — lovely staff throughout the hotel. Requests gets dealt with immediately and in a very friendly manner. The staff will do anything to make it happen, whatever your request may be. Extremely clean and tidy. Fantastic area for shopping and fine dining. Great place for kids and adults for relaxing. We stayed for my husbands 45th birthday surprise and the team went out of their way to plan every minute of our stay full of surprises for my husband. I would highly recommend it and I would stay there again.

An excellent place for breakfast. A lot of healthy options including gluten free and dairy free alternatives. My favourite is their home made vanilla yogurt with granola & berries. Their avocado toast with feta cheese and poached eggs is very good. Excellent service and attentive staff. Lighting very welcoming with positive energy atmosphere. Bakes and teas available. Good accessibility and free Wi-Fi available. The rooms are spacious and have been refurbished; the whites are always a comforting choice that complement the window views.

It's impossible not to like this place. Obviously it is expensive but the experience is perfect. From the way they greet you to taking your coat, showing you to your table, the food is amazing and so on. And there are all the things they don't do. No one shouts "enjoy" at you or interrupts you to ask if everything is alright. Service is discreet but attentive. A really nice touch, at the end of afternoon tea, with about 12 "designer" cakes left over, they presented them in elegant cake boxes. If you are really well off you probably don't care but for the rest of us it is a perfect goodbye.

Out of this world, this was a birthday treat and I enjoyed every minute of my stay at the Berkeley, our room was amazing, thank you Lillian for the birthday message. Had dinner at Marcus Restaurant which was absolutely spectacular. A big thank you to all — Excellent.

We booked afternoon tea and got a place at The Berkeley Hotel with no fuss with only a couple of days notice. It was a lovely afternoon, staff very friendly & helpful. However I did find it strange that they did not have scones as part of their afternoon tea standard selection. We had to request for scones separately. We had a good time and literally spent over 4hrs drinking tea. This was definitely a good afternoon tea experience!

The Blue Bar is a great place for late night cocktails and the hotel itself is stunning. If you are looking for the best location to see this part of town, this is the place for you. Waiting staff in the bar were also very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.

A high-end hotel. Lovely updated rooms, polite staff, very convenient location. I recommend a single visit to the room for tasting cocktails from Blue Bar — Out of the Blue. The tasting process is accompanied by a change of video hints of the series, sound and aromas.

Exemplary home, then I was charmed by the Ferrari in front of the hotel.

Stayed in a suite for a couple nights. Very attentive and friendly, beautiful room. Good restaurants and food, only small thing no music in rooms other than the TV. Would thoroughly recommend and definitely stay again.

This place is spectacular on every level. The seasonal decorations over the front entrance of the building really are close to being considered a certain spectacular sight of the Great City. The staff are so well mannered it hurts, and they all talk so slowly and clearly that sometimes you forget about the rugged and the rough speaking reality we surround ourselves in. Upon entry everything is so clean and so pure that it just makes you want to take off all your clothes, curl up into a ball and just lay there smelling the strawberry scented carpet. It goes without saying I'm not allowed in there anymore but you have to believe me, this place is honestly amazing.

The Berkeley is a very beautiful spacious luxury hotel at the heart of London. The service staff are great. It is very English. I did not fancy the food as much as some of my British colleagues did. It was a good opportunity to go there but it won't be my first choice in the future. This is a famous hotel and not difficult to reach. It is in a good location and not very far from Harrods Hyde Park, the Natural History Museum and Victoria & Albert Museum.

Amazing employees specially Daniel at restaurant, good service and polite, thanks to make us feel at home… the restaurant is inside the hotel on the right side of the entrance, you can go for afternoons tea, meetings or any event, tea is amazing and food is highly prepared with amazing flavors and designed. I really recommend this place, I hope you enjoyed like we did.

Amazing hotel and venue. Staff are superb and friendly but not overbearing. Great location situated next to the heart of London and just across from Hyde Park. The recent renovation of this hotel has been a major plus.

I was there on October 30, 2017, for a celebration dinner with my partner for our silver jubilee at Marcus. It is impossible to put our experience into Words. We had the 8 course tasting menu with wine arrangement, and we enjoyed every course. Some dishes were adapted because of my mustard allergy but even with the changes they were delicious. We especially enjoyed the scallops, the venison and the second dessert with caramel. The service was very formal at the start but during the evening we had nice conversations with our waiter, especially about the cheeses, and with the sommelier. We were especially honoured with the invitation from our waiter to visit the kitchen where we spoke with the head chef of Marcus, Mark Froydenlund. The evening ended with a special dessert for our silver jubilee. It was a perfect evening! Many thanks to the head chef and all the staff at Marcus … and we will be back!

I went there for an event and I was amazed by the quality of the service. The staff make you feel like a king. There is attention to detail to a high degree. The catering for the event was supreme!

Had wanted to go here with my sister for the fashion afternoon tea for about a year and finally did it this week. The atmosphere and ambiance were lovely as was the food, very different and not your usual afternoon tea, however we did have a problem with the long wait for our food (long story) so we were very rushed in the end as we had allowed just over 2 hours based on other hotels we had used for afternoon tea in London before but we would still been hard pushed with 3hours here which would have been fine had we of known first course took over 50 mins to come out and cakes took at least 25 mins to come out! I have still given 5 stars as the food was really nice and the 2 waiting staff we had were lovely and the way they both delt with our problem was out of this world with very good customer service skills indeed. This would not put us off giving it a second go though.

I would definitely recommend The Berkeley.
I was there yesterday for lunch with two close friends. We opted for the lunch pairing menu. The Amuse and bubbly was an excellent start. The pork was beautiful and the main dish : beef fillet was super and enjoyed every mouthful. Brilliantly cooked. The bread was warm and tasty and to finish off the Chocolate dessert was heavenly. The wine pairing matched perfectly. I think by now you can tell what an exquisite lunch was had. Go try for yourself. 10/10. This place exceeded my expectations.

Very expensive but interesting for us as tourists. The pastries were pretty and unique. I don't think we could be be regular customers because we can't appreciate the subtleties of the tea flavors. Wonderful staff.

The best Afternoon Tea ever! And I've been to a lot … I've taken so many friends and we can never stay away for too long! It's fresh, changing with the seasons and times and no experience is the same which I love! The revamp done months ago is just an added bonus as it was amazing before! Definitely the wow factor… I can't get enough … I'll be back soon. ❤️❤️❤️ if you've never been, book it now! You won't be disappointed.

Tea here was quite lovely. — 1 star because because I was charged extra for the cup of tea I had 10min before the arrival of my friend (which is the same tea included in the set menu we ordered)

I worked there as a waiter for a while. Good quality food. Nice staff. The female managers and their closer colleagues are chatty in a negative way.

The Blue Bar at the Berkeley is a must-visit for trendy but unpretentious drinks. I had a martini, a negroni and a whisky sour and they were all absolutely perfect and served with spicy nibbles and a welcome smile from the staff. The seats are comfortable and there's a versatile blend of dark corner booths in the main bar area and bright airy seats in the conservatory. The custom cocktails looked delightful and I'll be going back to try them very soon.

Newly refurbished hotel, with new suites and public spaces. Rooftop pool with retracting roof, and spa — as well as two highly respected restaurants.

Great venue for an event. The food and service is always impeccable. The new bar was nice but perhaps a bit too formal.

One of London's top hotels — currently going though a massive revamp. It's clear to see why this place is a London Landmark. The service is exemplary and I can't wait to see what the new facelift brings.

I have a spa treatment which was £100 for a facial. I have had much better facials for less money it wasnt the superior experiance I was expecting.

Great food at Marcus although restaurant timing was off during our visit. We arrived at 7:45pm left at 11:30pm. Other diners were able to arrive as leave having had the same meal before us. Pretty poor form.

Good quality afternoon tea, the positive is it is refillable, the negative is no scones included. Overall it was an enjoyable experience and the food was good, a handful of criticisms though: one of the waitresses had several tears in the back of her uniform, it looked as though they had been there for a while, very surprised her manager allowed her to work like that; I had a small piece of glad wrap plastic on one dish, they gave us free scones to apologise; the handbag dessert did not look identical to the ones in the photo gallery, it looked a bit shabby to be honest and only had one handle not two as pictured; when arriving the waitier hovered trying to put the napkin on your lap as you are trying to settle in, a bit more space until I settle would be appreciated, on the other hand I had to keep requesting more water and paying the bill was slow.

Very pretty hotel with good restaurants and friendly staff. There was smoke in our room almost every night even though we were on a non-smoking floor. They gave us an air freshener, but didn't do that much. Staff were accommodating and offered for us to move, but shouldn't have had to.

This hotel is the best. Staff, food, and rooms clean cowit atmosphere. I love it wish them the best.

This hotel was apparently originally a night club called Esmeralda's barn, which was owned by infamous London gangsters Ronnie and Reggie Kray.

The best and certainly, most creative afternoon tea in London! Pret-a-Portea is everything afternoon tea in such a fashion forward city like this should be. The Berkeley is everything you'd expect from a high-class hotel, beautiful lobby entrance with friendly door men to welcome you. The staff are smartly outfitted and even if you can't afford to be a guest in one of the rooms, you are treated exactly as if you were. The dining room itself is beautifully furnished, with plush seating and high backed sofas for larger groups and the staff are extremely attentive and will go above and beyond to make sure you have a unforgettable experience. The afternoon tea itself change each fashion season — Autumn/Winter to Spring/Summer collections are used as inspiration for the various cakes, mouses and treats on offer. We've visited a few times and eaten everything from green tea Chanel handbags, chocolate Stella McCartney boot shaped biscuits to Valention gown inspired mouse. Everyone being as delicious as the next! The presentation is beautiful, the drinks selection is wide and varied and all refillable at no extra cost — aside from the champagne. The plates of your afternoon cakes and savouries are also refillable, and the staff will be on hand to ask if you'd like it refreshed once a plate it empty. Which I find excellent value for money — considering how beautifully crafted everything is and the amount of time you could sit and indulge yourself!

Went here for a girly afternoon tea — Pret-a-portea. The staff knew exactly what was going on, I had a friend who was a vegetarian who they provided for well, the cakes, macroons, mouses were all delicious! But the best thing was their tea selection, which was unlimited, we sat there and tried about 6 different flavours (pear was my favourite) and the staff also advised different teas for different courses. We sat there for 4 hours! It is so far the best afternoon tea I have ever had.

English Afternoon tea is always seen as such a traditional fare which is ironic, because modern London is very far from traditional. The Berkeley Tea (dubbed Pret-A — Portea) is modern, cool and ever so cheeky. Themed around modern fashion, the range of biscuits and food are inspired by the seasons hottest trends. Be a Conran inspired biscuit or a flocked Macaroon. The food is brilliant and ever so creative. And don't be surprised if you see the other tea drinkers dressed up to the 9s in the latest looks. This is one place I really look forward to treating my wife too again. And next time I will ensure that I am perfectly colour co-ordinated and dressed to impress. Dahling.

What an amazing afternoon tea experience! We went for a special occaision and all the staff really made it special. Plenty of food and drinks for all. Amazing cake creations and we were certainly not leaving wanting more! Highly recommended.
