Pretty crappy unfortunately — if you're on a budget, you're much better off finding a proper hostel and staying there; or move up a category and pay a bit more for a decent hotel. Rooms small and extremely tired, paint falling off, shower drain 90% clogged, unbearable hot until about 1 am despite keeping the window open and using the fan. Communication to Victoria wasn't bad, but certainly not good. Won't be coming back. Pro tip though: The bakery behind the hotel (a few blocks away from the main road) was pretty decent.

Most of the staff is quite helpful (at first I got a really bad room, but they did their best to change me to a better one), however the quality of the rooms leave to be desired. My coat rack just fell down, my sheets were dirty even after 4 days of asking them to change it (at some point they just inverted it). In the end you get what you paid for, as the neighborhood is amazing.

Small Rooms but very cheap and clean hotel. Close to the metro station. Still in Zone 2. Recommended.

Cheap and very nice Hotel, if you want to spend a weekend in London. It Offers the possibility to make meals and a large open space where you can chat. The rooms are clean and offer any kind of service (towels, soap, heaters, television, fan, …). The only downside is the staff at the front desk who is not very friendly.

Fantastic Location 5 mins from Clapham South Station. Good value for money. But I was expecting something more. I booked together with 2 my girlfriends a triple room which we would have only served to sleep in. We Didn't have any big claims but the room was really small (we couldn't even move). The thing that bothered me the most was the absence of a closet (we stayed for 5 days with The clothes inside the suitcase) and there was not even room to rest The luggage.
Anyway, we didn't find it very bad. Friendly Staff, good breakfast (surcharge) and nice property.
Whatever you ask (even an adaptor) is paid.

Great clean well heated place… a bit dispersive as placement of the rooms… great Location.

Hotel not terrible overall, lack of soundproofing (we hear all, a lot of car passing) wallpaper that peels off, lack of cleanliness, a lot of bad, the parquet moves, the doors squeak, no elevator, the card turns off all The days.
Breakfast at 200 m, really bad. Only croissants and Choco rolls are suitable. Wi-Fi fee.
The +: The comfortable mattress, close with small shops and the Metro, nice little park in front.

Really good location to the high street, nice accommodation and affordable.

Not clean, unfriendly staff furniture broken, mold in bathroom, problems with keycard etc… so I würds not recommend to anyone!

If you want to stay at a reasonable price and don't make any claims, this is good. The bathroom could have been cleaner and the drain smelled strong in the morning. As we stayed there only to stay there, it was OK. The TV was also not the smallest. The beds… well beds just where you can sleep in. The subway can be reached in 5 minutes. Some great pubs are also within walking distance. I can't say anything about breakfast because we were looking for a typical local.

Trip of June 2017: We start from the positive things (which are few) — convenient location a few blocks from the black metro line-Nice view of the park if you happen to the street side room.
— Relatively quiet room.
— Acceptable cost for one week.
Then there's the cons.
' The reception was not the best. They have next to their upper class hotel and when, as for us, you are wrong, you find yourself in a decidedly uglier hotel. This is not immediately apparent from the reviews here on trip and especially I did not find it indicated anywhere.
— the receptionist with a blouse that showed the bra between the central buttons gave the idea of sloppy.
— Internet access costs £4 per day. £1 from the station near the hall.
— no elevator, small steps with carpeting. Be careful not to slip.
— On the rails and on the doors the paint was fresh (and still not properly given) and never reported.
— The pass of the room demagnetized practically always in spite of the precautions.
— Room 8125 is a single with a double bed. You only climb to one side because the bed is as wide as the room.
-There are no cabinets but only one bracket with crutches.
— The high shelf definitely had a lot of dust.
— Tiny bathroom with a sink much too small, even for British canons.
— Inclined and suction bath bracket not working.

Old Hotel, on the other hand is in a quite good location with Metro Vecinissima, Italian bar a few steps and in front of a park amazing.

Terrible rooms, but I think not so much worse than others to what I hear, staff not always friendly.

Hotel very close to a metro. The people at the front desk are very friendly. The bedding is comfortable. And the price is attractive for London. As for the negatives, hot water hard to find and the sound insulation of the corridor is to be reviewed.

Small but clean room. Reasonable price, room cleaned everyday and fresh towels. Open door to come and go as you like. Five minute walk to the tube station. Very good for a budget hotel.

Staff is not very friendly, the rooms partly moldy and cold, or dirty and too hot. The heater could not be set up was only on full pull. The bedding was filthy between moldy or with hair of the previous tenant. The floor was not cleaned. The toilet glasses were loose. The switch for the bathroom fan is located above the bathroom door.

Wouldn't recommend, room too hot, beds uncomfortable, pillows lumpy. Very noisy from people upstairs. Only good thing was the staff, who where friendly and helpful.

Great place to visit London. The subway is 2 steps away. It is about an hour from Stansted airport. Friendly and helpful staff. Really small room (too). There was not even a closet inside. However, the/prezzo quality ratio is very good for those who use it only x sleep. Breakfast not included in the rate. The buffet is plentiful.

Good quality-price with toilets with tub per room, with Metro, supermarkets, cafes leisure nearby and front a huge park with people doing activities constantly.

Very small rooms and a little weird people wandering around the hotel. For the price it's not bad and it's next to the Clapham South stop so not bad.

The staff were helpful and the rooms were clean and in good condition for us however they were much smaller than expected and we could hear lots of noise from outside and in the hallway. For one night it was perfectly fine though.

Friendly service. Great location. They could use some kind of internal map for the rooms as it's a bit of a labyrinth inside. Minimal yet functional and tidy rooms.

We assume that the stars correspond to a quality/price assessment. I stayed 2 times for the price of 42 pounds a night (per couple! ), with bathroom in the room. Who knows London knows what lies for those prices, and the bathroom in the room is a utopia. So, yes the rooms are small, basic. The cleanliness honestly in the average of structures at par. The bathroom is obviously small, but with shower comfortable and cared for. Therefore deserves these stars, I have not given 5 because the breakfast unfortunately does not deserve much (as quantity and quality in relation to the price). To those who give negative ratings, I wish to stay in London at 21 pounds apiece at the Hilton! Another advantage: It is 200 m from the Metro — the Northern Line which is a night tube with estesissimi-hours, and there are a few small markets open until late for every need.

Nice and pocket friendly. But room very choky. No restaurants, only breakfast for a fee and internet is also pay as you go.

The room left a lot to be desired, a hideout with a window facing a maintenance aisle. Noisy at all hours, especially at night. Low quality materials and the card to open the door no VAT ever. The positive part the employees, cordial and active 24h.

For a basic Hotel it offered all the necessary amenities. Room was by no means huge nor overly comfortable, but for the price and location I would certainly return again.

Very narrow room, but cheap price, so you can afford it. Easy to reach from the centre of London.

The bed was not bad, could be said to be comfortable. The reception of the hotel is cosy and operates 24 hours. It is located in a well-connected residential area with the metro, with a park across the Street.
The facilities are OLD. Not that it is a dirty place, but the general aspect leaves that to be desired: badly applied painting, tiles with chips, scarce furniture with low quality material, etc. It is far from the appearance of the photos published in the reservations Web. The room window looked out on a maintenance/storage aisle and we had no mobile coverage.

Stayed here for 4 days, very clean hotel, polite and courteous staff. Rooms are on the small side but adequate for your needs. Beds are clean and rooms are serviced daily with clean towels. The full English breakfast is really good and excellent value for money at only £7 per person which you pay for daily if required. All in all a really good stay, would definitely come back again.

Absolute no frills accommodation. But clean and with comfy matress. Perfect to get some kip between two busy days. Wouldn't want to spend much time here.

The hotel looks handsome! But you go into the lobby of the hotel floors all creak. For some reason, the doors that are closed and it is very difficult to open them especially for children or if you are carrying bags. Now about the room: The card that opens the door in the room every race needs to be updated at the reception. The floors in the room are made of very creaky parquet. In the shower room : the shower should be held in his hands because the holder was broken and for 9 days of arrival in the hotel it was not repaired though requested and more than once. Ersik is not in the toilet! The floor in the room for 9 days and not washed. The frame of the bed torn shelf under the crab almost torn off and so they rent the room to new tenants. : (In short.

Rooms are clean but very small. Wifi and breakfast was not included in the price but could be paid for separately. The Wi-Fi I thought was priced ridiculous as it was 4£/24hrs.

Good communication, the subway right next door. The double room was quite small, the bathroom door collided with the bed. And it has almost no ventilation. A casement window only. It was very hot those days, that minimum a fan!
Nor is it such a cheap price for the distance from the center.

Yes this place is relatively cheap to stay in but it is not the finest place to stay, even for the price. The rooms are small beyond belief, but clean so there is a plus. They are minimalist as well. The staff are friendly and accommodating but all in all I cam away from this place feeling like I got ripped off, even for London.

We spend 7 days in this hotel. Ours impressions are positives. The personals were very polite and friendly (special the young girls Laura and Diana). They gave us many usefully informations. The hotel is close to a tube and bus stations. We met the owner, who is very preoccupied to increase the conditions in his proprieties.

The best compromise value for money/location. It is very close to Clapham South and also has a Tesco supermarket and right in front of the Metro stop there is a Costa DV bar you can make a great breakfast at much more price ke content than a Starbucks. The structure for itself is minimal but is clean and tidy. A great DV place to stay to visit London Anke Xke the line to which it is connected is the black open practically always.

Well we cant find much positive to say about the place. If I could give it half a star, Then we would. Very small rooms, so hot and noisy. And when someone making noise in the hallway or any troublemakers, there are no security to take care of it. Wifi is not free. Breakfast is awefull and boring and by the way not free. I hope other people will use this review to choose another hotel. The only positive thing we would say about the place is that its close to a metro station. So if you just need a place to sleep where there are no security or any kind of service… this is the place.

Extremely small rooms, but otherwise ok and close to the Underground station. Good for a weekend trip. What I did not like was that I had to pay 3 Pounds just to leave my luggage there before the room was ready. That's a rip off.

Great choice for the quality price, the level is not very high, but if you love travelling and you have a limited budget this is one of the best choices. City center 10 minutes by Metro, stop a few steps.

Not all the people in the lobby greet you with cordiality then the room was very small. Only the price is passable.

Frankly fortunately the price and location are a good point because if not side friendliness of the reception, service, soundproofing… That's really disappointing. And let's not talk that every service is paid and expensive… Keep suitcases, Wi-Fi…

What a terrible experience we had while staying here. From the moment we arrived to the minute we left we had nothing but hassle and headaches. Arriving, we realize that though the website said there is parking, the spots had already been filled and there is only 4 hour parking and permit parking surrounding the hotel leaving anyone who drives in quite a bind. We ended up getting lucky (or so we thought) and got a spot right in front of the hotel. We had to leave our keys at reception and pay 14 pounds but at least we didn't have to move our car every 4 hours. Our cramped "family room", which you could not even roll a suitcase between the wall and second bed, was right on the ground floor and on the main road. We had people drinking outside of our window to all hours of the morning and the traffic and sirens kept us up all night (if we could of gotten any sleep on the 30 year old lumpy mattresses anyways). We checked out, they charged me 25 pounds more than my booking stated and we went to pick up our keys. We noticed our car had been moved and was scratched on the back bumper. The front staff informed us that another staff member had moved our car at 4 am! He tried to review the CCTV but conveniently couldn't access it during the time our car was moved. We are still waiting to hear back from the manager regarding our incident. Truly the worst hotel experience ever!

Well if the hotel has 2 stars who am I to question that. Just arrived from a 2 night stay and am really considering widening my room budget, not really happy with my experience. Exagerated smell from cleaning in the room, got a different room than pictured in the booking, or on the site, that had a window in the lobby where people walked, was difficult to get fresh air and with the smell on top even more frustrating. Smoke alarm went off on night for no reason. Some Things in room didnt function properly, like bed reading light. Nothing to say againts staff and hotel location but some rooms are nothin like what you see in pictures.

Small hotel in rustic (euphemism for "a bit run down") building. Rooms are on low side of OK in size and amenities, which is fair in light of the price. Breakfast, Wi-Fi access are extra cost, 5 GBP each, per day. Staff polite. No lift, and a lot of stairs and narrow corridors (like old London buildings. ) Area is nice, right next to a park with a lake, tube station and cafés, restaurants one corner away.

Well located for transport to London. But for all supplements. Room on the ground floor very noisy. Sounds of water, courtyard view. Infamous continental breakfast. Kind enough to review.

Very nice Rooms, Staff are friendly keep them selfs to them selfs, lovely Garden and benches ect… Only problem I found was there was this consent buzzing noise and this morning I was woke up really early by banging noises and work going on. Also the staff cleaning early in the morning disturping my sleep but all in all would defiantly stay again … even with this headache I been stuck with because of my lasts night stay in that hotel so dont now if it good or bad lol but good for price and defo use agin.

Nice cheap hotel. Room a smaller version of travel lodge. Only issue I had was TV switching itself off when watching e4 but that was the Samsung digital text issue. So turned digital text off.

Great value for money accommodation in the two steps from the metro south clapham clean room with teapot. Private bathroom and friendly staff, the Wi-Fi you pay daily however outside the hotel there is a tesco which has Wi-Fi. Recommended.

For me its nice small hotel. Ive had small room but there was very clean, there was a comfy big bed, hairdryer, tea set and TV… which resets on specific channels haha ;) The Wi-Fi is not free but its good quality, it works fast even on highest floor! On the front of the hotel is very big park, you can rest there or play soccer etc or just sit on the bench and eat some meal ;) Near hotel there is Tube Station where you can move to every neighbour, btw — Londons underground is very fast and it has nice climat :) I love it.

Nobody in London desrve to stay in a place like this and council should take immediate action to prevent this kind of manager to ruin local business. The worst hotel I recall in my life so far.

What can I say about the Hotel? … well nothing good, we were 6 people we had a reservation and "lost it" and sent us to another "hotel". Initially wanted to send us to the other side of London but consegimos that we send to the "pension" that have a couple of houses to the side, it was not wanted to stay us from the very beginning. It seems that they do a purpose!

Best thing about this place is the view of all the joggers! No hot water on basin tap, my mattress may possibly be the oldest in London! Every spring visible and the noise they make just from sitting Is unreal, legs covered in bites. They only have 3 parking spaces. Stay away.

Close to the tube station but terrible experience/staff. We had a long night so we wanted to stay a bit longer and pay for it of course. The guy from reception called twice within 10 minutes for my miss to go downstairs and pay. They just couldn't wait for the check out. That hotel is cheap and overused.

Worst experience of my traveling days. Room extra small, mattress very, but very uncomfortable. It rained in the room the previous day I arrived and bed was wet. Mold in the bathroom all over ceiling.

This is a terrible hotel. A group that I work with stayed there this past week, sept 1st to 3rd, 2014, and all 3 rooms they stayed in were infested with bed bugs One girl in the travel party was severely bitten by the bed bugs and the hotel refused to give a refund. One of the rooms we had was so bad the occupants had to leave in the middle of night and find another hotel, because their room was crawling with bed bugs. The hotel did nothing to help, never Apologised and turned a blind eye to the situation. Do not Stay in this hotel. It is a Terrible Pest ridden place. We have photographic evidence to prove all of these claims.

This has a good location and the rooms come cheap, but that's about all that's going for this place. It looks like the Fawlty Towers of London from the inside. The rooms are tiny, and if you are claustrophobic, do not even think about going in for a single room. Wi-Fi works in some rooms and doesn't at all in some others. If you are on a shoestring budget and need a place just for a couple of nights which is not that far from central London, you may consider this, otherwise, uh not really.

We had a really good time in london the lodge is opposite the common, its just a few hundred yards from the tube station. The lodge is very clean, quiet and the staff are very kind and helpful I thoroughly recommended it.

The room is 5ms. The breakfast choice is only toast and cereals. The housekeeper stole one of our croaissant one day, which is unappropriate considering that she ciuld do what shw wanted on our absence. One towel is for person. Forgot to say our room 404 has the view on the garage, that means that opening the window i'm in somebody else car. Is a quote area and close to the metro but choose another hotel if you can.

Our stay was for 6 nights/7 days. The facilities are appropriate, spacious dining room, and our room was comfortable, with daily cleaning, shower private and pleasant service. The only uncomfortable was the heating system that does not adequately regulated (sometimes very cold, other very warm), and the Hall light reaching to disrupt our sleep. It has included continental breakfast of cereal, toast, juice and coffee late or hot milk. It has a microwave oven where we calentábamos our dinner. Well if you don't have much budget.

The worst hotel I have ever seen in my life. Or in the worst place in the world there is a hotel as well. We had to collect everything and leave after discovering that we had mice that ate the food to us. Those employees not is surprised and even us said, so quietly, that not was it first time. The deal also was bad.
