Saba Group Hotels. Reasonably priced hotel in good location for travelling into London as there is a bus stop outside to the main Hammersmith bus station and tube, or a short walk in. Another tube was advertised as being about 450 yards away, it was not. Lots of eateries in the area. Our first room in the Melandre was across the road (side), our twin beds were so uncomfortable that we asked to be moved the next day. Additionally the room was very noisy being on the main road, it did quieten down late night. Our second room was in the main hotel, the staff had moved our luggage for us. It was smaller, in the back and so quite, unfortunately it was, or had been a smoking room and so smelt. There were a few faults that I reported (loose toilet seat), although promised, they were not seen to. The beds were better, but not brilliant. Breakfast was basic but fine, kitchen staff really nice. Supposed to be Continental breakfast, eggs on toast, cereals, yoghurt… Very noisy breakfast room due to tiled floor and heavy wooden chairs scrapping. Accessibility — no as steep steps up to each hotel, some ground floor rooms. 24 hour reception — is there, hatch is closed so knock on the door. Security — fobs and CCTV. I have to say, due to the beds and the cigarette smell, and some areas in the bathroom not being too clean, thisthe first time I was ready to leave a hotel. I had expected a bit more from the website marketing.

Our experience with the Melandre Hotel was very nice. The room was clean & tidy every day. The bathroom was clean as well. We also had breakfast, continental one which was ok. The hotel is 15 min walking distance from Westfield mall and 7-10 min from Hammersmith Tube Station. We gladly recommend this place for a short visit trip to London.

Nice hotel in a good location for Kensington Olympia venue. Tea and coffee in the room and a fridge which is a bonus. Breakfast was good, fresh eggs, beans and toast made to order with cheeses, fruit, croissants, jams and cereals on tap. Fruit juice on every table and plenty of tea and coffee. Good Wi-Fi connection as well. Only downside was a lady knocking the door around 9am to ask when we were leaving so she could clean the room. Considering check out is 11am thought that was a bit bad but otherwise a good place to stay.

What a very well run, clean and friendly hotel. And amazing location and value for money.

It looks amazing, rooms are very comfy, not too big but with enough space, there is a TV in every room and own bathroom, you also can have a tasty brekfast there.

The room was quite warm however it's too narrow. The breakfast is poor.

I did not have a good experience, maybe bad luck. Continental breakfast without some basics like bacon, cake — ok, If not in England. For children what is served is unacceptable. The bathroom was another problem: impossible to stabilize hot and cold water; or very hot or icy. The heating did not work on the first night. The location is also not very good for reaching central London. Good points: cleanliness and service of the stafs. There are a sort of things that does not Go well, but I may to stop.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and sooo. Remember that it is the cenrrro of London and you sleep for 60 pounds with breakfast included. We will come several times, we have saved the card.
Do not go to the EURO HOTEL, it is not of this chain although they are stuck, and are very bad in every way! Read my review of the Euro Hotel London!

The hotel was clean but there were two major problems. First of all I was given a room right next to the road which was extremely loud. I can rack that up to bad luck but the second issue is not so easy. The gentleman who was on staff that night and in the morning refused to change the room, clearly lying and saying that they were completely booked up. He also was not on duty when guests were arriving, leaving them to stand outside in the rain. Finally when I asked for the name on the invoice to be changed to my company name, he flatly refused, asking me to come back in an hour and saying that he didn't know how to do it. When I pressed and said this is a normal thing for travelling business people, he all the sudden figured out how it could be done, albeit disgruntled.

Decent hotel, nice view and clean. Good for it's price.

Very clean, cosy, authentic, the staff very friendly.

While the location and price may appear to be good. It isn't worth the price. We had reservations for two nights and left after the first night. The beds are of very poor quality and squeak every time you move. The room was hot and stuffy and when we asked about a fan or changing to a cooler room we were blown off and ignored by the desk staff, even though there were piles of fans in boxes behind the front desk. When we arrived the room had been partially cleaned, and the toilet ran for over 30 minutes each time it was flushed. The shower had very little water pressure. While the beds had been made the bathroom had obviously not been attended too. There was no soap or shampoo and the body wash of the previous tenant was still in the shower. When we walked from the Melandre to the Helenic where you check in to speak to the front desk we were yet again given attitude, though they did send the cleaner back with fresh soap and shampoo. Even with a room on the backside of the building, with the window open to try and get a breeze, the neighborhood was noisy till well past midnight. Breakfast the next morning was average at best. The staff obviously has trouble understanding English as my partner was asked if she'd like beans with her eggs and she said yes and received none. As stated in the title I have had better service and accommodations in a $10 a night hotel in rural Cambodia. The staff needs to learn about customer service and the whole building needs better sound proofing.

Cramped rooms, poor sound proofing, poor breakfast, but clean and well located.
