Excellent hotel. Rooms are large and elegantly decorated without feeling like you're in a show room. Fantastic location in the heart of East London.

If you are looking for a place for a quiet drink on a roof terrace before a nice dinner and pleasant service — then you should have come here last year or build a time machine. What was a beautiful gem of a place in London where customer service met exquisite views and reasonably priced but quality food has morphed into something else entirely. Now your quiet drink on the terrace has been replaced with a ‘we don’t have any space (shrug) ’. When questioned about the good old times where a reservation in the restaurant meant a perfect service and quiet drink before dinner on the terrace, it was met with ‘there is nothing we can do’. So if you want overpriced food with a half glimpse of a view of a terrace with a side order of rudeness from a clearly under qualified ‘general manager’ with no social skills and clearly no experience of running a decent restaurant that provides not just food but a service that makes the experience worthwhile… then this is your place. My advice — build a time machine and go back here when it was run by skilled and competent staff, or avoid at all costs. Sad but another quality location ruined by poor customer service… I will not be returning.

We ate and left as quickly as possible. We went for late lunch. It was a very hot sunny day. We were sat where there was no shade for 4 of us. No shade whatsoever. Left with headache. For the price you definitely expect more effort (and not to need gulping down water non stop to avoid dehydration). Staff was nice though.

The most offhand couldn't be bothered service I've had in London in years. When we mentioned the poor service to the person who took our payment her reply was not an apology but "we don't take amex". First time I've ever not paid service charge. Food was fine, nothing to write home about. Won't ever be back with the abundance of options right next door.

Always enjoy coming to this rooftop in good weather. When it gets slightly colder they provide blankets and light the fires outside. Good food.

Cosy rooftop and lovely views. Nice place to grab drinks. Cocktails are great however food is average.

PREVIOUS EMPLOYEE, PLEASE READ! I have worked for this rooftop bar and I would NEVER recommend anyone to eat here. The owner of the restaurant is extremely rude, arrogant and treats his staff like they are peasents. There is not even a cafeteria for lunch, I had to eat my lunch on the floor in the downstairs area. The workers in the kitchen eat out of the customers food as they work, they don’t even bother to COVER their hair!? I literally see the kitchen workers hair touch the customers food before being given to them. I don’t even see them wash their hands. They do not follow hygiene practices at all from what I have seen. The food is extremely bland and doesn’t even taste good AT ALL. The place gets cramped up and people end up sharing tables. There are many places in shoreditch to eat, DO NOT EAT HERE AND SUPPORT THIS HORRIBLE MAN’S BUSINESS.

Warm beer and cold steak served by snobby elitist staff. Cleared our own table and had to hunt them down to get a beer. Nice views from the roof but abysmal service at high London prices — close but no cigar.

Wonderful Hotel with very nice roof terrace in the trendy district of Shoreditch. The location is great, in a street parallel to main street, so it is not too loud and yet in the immediate vicinity of what is here is interesting. The rooms are very large and spacious for London standards, everything is pretty new. The beds very comfortable and the bathroom huge. Nice Detail: there are Aesop toiletries. Particularly worth noting as has been said, the roof is a terrace. Here is a great selection of Cocktails, cool vibe and good crowd. Breakfast can be enjoyed in the bottom, connected to the Albion.

Went there with a dozen of colleagues last night June 26. Table was booked for some time. Had to wait 1h30 to get subpar food sold at a premium price. Terrasse is great though.

Mediocre at best. If you sit on the rooftop you're paying for the view rather than the food. Noisy, cramped and very average food which is not worth the wait time on sunny days. Downstairs at TraTra seemed nicer.

It could be so good. But with a cooler-than-thou greeting, greasy tables, expensive menu, and a loud 'city' crowd it ends up quite unsatisfactory. There's a rude woman with an iPad 'checking you in' before you're allowed up to the terrace, I felt 12 and back in school when she chided me for heading for the lift without talking to her! Awkward start. When you've past customs control and reached the terrace it's nice enough and the food is ok. The underside of the dining tables are greasy and dirty, so if your knees touch there you'll have dirty trousers for the rest of your night. Waited ages to pay our bill. I suppose you pay for the terrace and view, but for easily better service and a wider range of food go elsewhere in Shoreditch. Would not head back to Boundary in a hurry.

Über trendy hotel and series of eateries under one roof in the heart of Shoreditch. Albion is the very popular street — level relaxed breakfast and lunch spot. The roof deck restaurant usually requires reservations and is a nice spot for sunny days. Food is good but you're not there for the scene, not the one dinning.

Noise! … Noise! … Noise! I have stayed at the Hotel many, many times since it opened. However, apart from the Staff who could not be nicer… The 'Cafe' which is perfect, the rooms, both clean and comfortable… the Owners need to address the noise issue. Either tackle the Council, to prevent waste collection and bottle collection at 8,. 00am on Sunday mornings or before 7.00am weekdays! You will never get a full nights sleep. Yes, Shoreditch is happening… yes there is street noise… but in order to remain competitive, investment is needed to add further window treatment to give the guests some respite to the continuous roaring of delivery trucks, waste trucks and the shouting of drunk pedestrians. I wrote this publicly as there are so many reviews outlining this noise issue going back a number of years… I do hope the Management tackle the issue… rather than ignore.

Sadly this rooftop is not a good spot for a chilly November evening. The heating is totally inadequate. Even the staff were frozen and it was obvious they didn't want to be there.

Very nice TopRoof restaurant in a bohemian area close to downtown. Not very known for turists. Mostly locals.

The food is great and the views off the roof are amazing.

The terrace is nice, but the cocktails are a very low quality for the Shoreditch standard… and then you see the price tag and you faint! On top of that the staff is not too polite (French lady).

The setting is excellent, great rooftop bar for the summertime. However we ordered a bottle of champagne (£75), which arrived warm, and the breads — some of which were stale. We also weren't forewarned that there was an office party booked in the interior dining space, which rendered our meal very loud. We were given two complimentary glasses of champagne but overall it wasn't the standard you would expect.

Great for rooftop dining. Probably the best in the area for those who can't get into Shoreditch House. Probably due to that it fills up early — so get there early.

I was there yesterday whith my wife for a lunch on the roof top. The place is amazing, great terrace and comfortable resturant ;We enjoyed the aperitif outside under a warm sun and after that we had a lunch inside. Mix plate of crudités to share, one portion plus onother one of octopus and corrizo (fabulous), mediterranean club sandwich. One of our friends enjoyed us for a cheese selection and coffee at the end. The two ladies on the floor (head waiter and commis, I suppose) was both friendly and smiling, floor manager was grumpy and slacker. Highly recommend for a quick snack and couples of drinks in a sunny day.

ONE STAR IS TOO MUCH Horrible staff, 10 to wait for menu. 30' waiting to pay. That was ridiculous. 2 Waitress and 3 managers around doing nothing worried about one table. Food. Unfilling, fashionable empy plates in good views of remodeled Shoreditc.

We went for the rooftop for dinner. The tables were crowded and the chairs uncomfortable. The food is over priced and not that impressive. What is worse is that my partner has food poisoning after the meal and we are thinking it was the seafood platter! That is just unacceptable!

Went for a rooftop raclette special, the staff were attentive and the venue was nice but for the price the amount of raclette and charcuterie was really stingy and the staff didn't seem to have much experience of serving it. Fondue was a bit runny and bread was fantastic on its own but fell apart when dipped with gusto. Nice place but wouldn't raclette here again.

Really disappointing New Years Eve here on the Rooftop… What a shame. Horrible overpriced set menu with substandard food and freezing cold.

Excellent restaurant with great tasting food! and an excellent service. I really like the rooftop view of London. The Seabass fish is excellent and their juicy steak! I highly recommend this place!

The rooftop does get busy in the summer and the is a nice place to chill, if you get there early enough or can get a place in the line. But let's talk about their brunch. It's a very limited menu (6-8 items only) but was delivered beautifully, with scrambled eggs were buttery, and not rubbery, the croissant was layered and flaky and the berries in the muesli were fresh and sharp. A great options for brunch in the area.
