Checkin was meant to be at 3pm. At 6pm our room still wasnt ready! they did offer complimentary drinks at the bar but it was very inconvenient. And apparently always the same on a Saturday.

Good location and reasonably priced for Central London.
Nice rooms, clean and tidy.

Absolutely disgusted, Doubletree by Hilton has charged my bank card twice. I've been non stop ringing for 2 weeks to be told my money will be back in my account within 4 working days. Still no sign of my money. Can't even get through to the reception, do you not answer your phones? absolutely fuming.

Unhelpful. Pillows too soft no help by housekeeping to change them. Plastic straws still being used by the bar! thought this was illegal now?! Lots of hotels in London you get better service than what we experienced here.

To the lovely lady who was on reception at our time of booking in which was Friday 29th aug and seemed to be there every time we came and went
Thank you you were so hard working yet always had a lovely smile to greet us and yes face covering were in place but the eyes tell a thousand words

Very nice hotel in the "city" of London. Close to the Tower of London and the Underground station which can get you all over town. Several delicious restaurants are nearby. The London Roman wall which was built over 2, 000 years ago is tucked in close. The executive room was good, but their food/snack offering lacked when compared to others in Europe like the one in Frankfurt. If they could upgrade that offering, it would be 5 stars.

The names of the room have got nothing to do with the room sizes instead they are the sizes of bed which was very disappointing as I was with my husband and our 2 children. There was hardly any space left in the room if a visitor were to come. Thankfully we had the room for only 1 night and were more than happy to leave such a pigeonhole in the morning. The executive lounge was good with a variety of snacks and was the only saving grace of the stay. Although the staff was helping, except the concierge not many knew English! My husband was told at the time of booking that we would be given a room with a window looking out to the Shard. When we tried to check in at 15:00, we were told that room is not available as the guest has decided to extend his/her stay. The room which has been allotted to you is being cleaned now so if we can come back after an hour or so OR stay at reception until the room is cleaned. Just for information, we paid a price of £400 a night. A huge disappointment!.

Great location, great rooms with amazing views. We were a little early for check in and they were extremely accommodating with holding our bags until the room was ready while we went to see the city. We were also given a warm soft oatmeal chocolate cookie during the process! The rooftop lounge is amazing with great views and a chill vibe. The was a private function at the time so we didn't spend much time there but a quick drink in the place was great. Excellent executive lounge with a great spread of canapes and drinks during 'happy hour'. Also a great spot when you need a quick sparkling/ still water or a cup of tea or soda. Restaurant had a terrific breakfast buffet. Everything you would expect and much more — — omelets, smoothies, cheese etc. Plus beans for a proper English breakfast! The bar in the lobby was also convenient for a late Hells ale when most pubs nearby were closed. The location was perfect. Steps from the tower of London and landmarks like Lloyd's of London the Gherkin and the Lamb pub. Sits right beside the 4 seasons. Snapped a pic of the view from just outside the lift on the 10th floor to give some perspective. Always enjoyed staying at the Hilton hotels and this was no exception. Very reasonable and has everything you need.

Very good hotel in a great location, conveniently close to Tower Hill tube. Rooms are clean and spacious, bed is comfortable, great shower. There's a rooftop bar with great views, but if you want a more chilled vibe go to the Number 7 bar on the ground floor. Finally, breakfast is absolutely amazing! Great selection of food and excellent fresh coffee.

Terrible hotel, the staff don't care about the company of drunk people who yell in the room and keep people from sleeping. There's no noise in the hotel! The so-called "Lounge" sucks full, the food is not tasty, plus to this food is still very little, the lounge is never cozy, the point for it to pay zero, on the street near the hotel is littered with garbage! If you want to rob a room, but there is no card to go up to the right floor? It doesn't matter! Click on 12, and from 12 you go down to the right floor, the guards let everyone in a row)

Have had a very good time, ideal conditions for rest.

We stayed here during our recent trip to London. The location in Chelsea was convenient for attending Wimbledon, which was shared by some of the pro players. I was in tennis geek heaven seeing some of these players during breakfast; see pictures. The rooms were small but that is typical of European hotel rooms. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Because we were diamond status, we were given free vouchers for small bites at the bar, and also vouchers for coffee and drinks, which was a very nice perk that we used on several occasions. If you are a fan of tennis and are attending Wimbledon, I highly recommend staying at this hotel during the first week of the tournament for pro player watching.

Modern design, room clean, and convenient location.

Just a few blocks away from the station, this hotel is tucked away on a quiet street but it’s busy inside. The restaurant attached is great, the main bar is awesome, unfortunately the rooftop was closed for construction or it would have hit 5 stars. You have direct access to the tower bridge area with plenty to do and a great spot for grabbing a water taxi. The HH lounge was nicely stocked and breakfast was HUGE! I only asked for a few things while I was here and they had it all. Concierge was very helpful as well. You will like the rooms, comfortable beds, nice TVs but be honest you will be outside more.

Great plan for 1 quality hotel with exceptional breakfast and close to the Metro, boat. Try it is recommend it!

Good central location, 2 minute walk from Tower Hill underground station. Has a lot of potential, for me it lacked attention to detail. Lipstick on a glass, shower door not properly fixed making it stiff and causing me to get stuck in the shower, shower head turned when on, bathroom holder fallen off wall. However, aside from 1 glass the room was clean and comfortable. Perhaps there should be less focus on technology (which did not work well, radio and TV played at the same time through the apple screen) and more focus on attention to detail. Check-in staff not friendly and came across as a little rude. Staff on checkout were much more friendly and offered some reward points due to the issues I experienced. Overall, better than a budget hotel but not up to the standard it should be for its price range.

Within 2 min walk from Fenchurch train station. Warm friendly staff. Rooms are a good size very clean and comfortable. Roof top bar is lively and inviting with a large outside area to enjoy the warm evenings with amazing views of London. Breakfast is plentiful and of a high standard. Lots to choice from to suit all tastes.

Nice rooms and the service in the restaurant was great! The front desk staff, could have been a little bit more friendly. We booked breakfast for our stay but the gentleman behind the desk wouldn't believe us. It took us 15 minutes before we were checked in! Also be aware that if you order coffee or thee in the morning in the cafe that this is charged to your room, we thought it was part of breakfasts so it was a surprise.

High price, low quality. The bedroom I had was pretty normal except for torn curtains and a computer that doubled as a TV that kept cutting out and breaking down. Robes that the hotel gave we're torn. That's not the worst part. The worst part was playing tag between front desk and the kitchen for almost a half an hour trying to find out if they would bring extra complimentary water bottles. Like no one had an answer not even when I asked if I could buy them! Super unprofessional and frustrating. Playing phone tag. As a rule water bottles should be free always and available especially if I'm paying almost 200 pounds for a upgraded room! What was nice was at check-in they give you a complimentary alcoholic beverage at the bar, but very specific low end.

An excellent location in the center of the city. In the rooms it is a little chilly but they are good. The terrace has spectacular views of London. Recommended.

Quiet and well-connected Hotel. Clean rooms and with a nice deal on the part of their employees. The Tower of London is 5 minutes away and the Metro is a couple, so it s easy to get to any point of the city quickly.

As we booked in they gave my sister a free drink card from the bar. The breakfast was more than 5 stars amazing in every way! Only down fall was that we found the lifts quite hard to understand. Rooms were lovely too!

Great hotel in a good location. Upstairs bar was very laid back with great views of the city. Very close to the tower bridge tube station, that makes it a very convenient place to stay if you want to navigate around the city. Lots of near by touristy stuff to do as well.

Great location. Very clean. Helpful and friendly staff, especially at the concierge who found my coat! Check in was slow and it wasn't that busy — so not sure if this is standard or just bad luck. Breakfast served until 11am and has superb buffet selection. Was very very busy with queues out the door waiting to be seated 20minutes or so prior to service closing. Would happily stay here again.

Was there with my son. Central location, good connection with the subway (subway station is close to the hotel), good breakfast, nice and helpful staff, the room was okay and well equipped enough. A mini bar is unfortunately missing. But room service was available only minus point: no nice view from the room window (actually no = = opposite outside wall and masons on construction site). So look for the front room.
Nevertheless a well managed stay and clear; I would be happy to recommend this hotel.

The rooms and the bathroom were small but nice. The bathroom was quite basic but clean and had a very pleasant shower.
The beds were on rolls, which was temporarily a bit annoying…
Important! : credit card was not obligatory! It would have been possible to pay for the mini-bar and similar in cash or with normal card.
The concierge Tony was a very funny fellow and took care immediately if anything was. Even the dark-skinned gentleman (unfortunately I don't know his name) was very committed and compassionate.
Breakfast was the 4th star-it was really very rich, high quality and something for everyone. Particularly noteworthy here is the Pancake machine, which allows you to prepare fresh pancakes. :)

It is not very central, a little far from the tourist center.

Very conveniently located, nicely styled, all rooms and facilities modern and practical. Friendly, helpful staff. Several options for dining and relaxing. Executive lounge has long opening hours, but the choices there are a bit limited. Rooms more spacious than many other options in the area. Main restaurant for breakfast can be a bit crowded at peak times. Reception working very effectively. Rooftop bar definitely an asset.

The "Skylounge" should be visited!
Meanwhile there is also a huge TV, for the room, double room much too large. The location is perfect for exploring London. There may be a longer waiting time at breakfast, so it's better to get up early.

For a 4 day trip, we booked the very centrally located hotel directly on Tower Hill. The location is very good, as many sights are within walking distance. There's a star for that. We were put in a wheelchair room as no other room was free, which was not a problem for us either. Every day the room was cleaned very nicely so there is next star.
Now for the negative: from 8:30 pm to CA 18:00 am construction work took place at the hotel. Impact drills and and and. There is a permanent pungent noise that can hardly be withstanded. Unfortunately there was not even any information from the hotel. If we had known this before we would have booked another hotel.
So who is looking for relaxation and a little rest is definitely wrong here! What a pity!

Room clean and friendly staff. That's it, too. So small rooms!, no wardrobe to hang the clothes. And at least 50 rooms that look at each other in the room (moving and showers visible for everyone) i. E. Only with curtains sleep without daylight. And Windows do not open it is she likes to hear the talks of the sky — bar. …

Nice Hotel, rooms are rather small but when your in London you don't spent much time in the hotel anyway. Location is hear right by the tower bridge and really close to the underground (green and yellow line). I did not have the breakfast so I cannot say anything about that. Price for breafast was really high. There are some places nearby where you can get breakfast for a reasonable price, so I would recommend to book without breakfast.

Wonderful hotel. Excellent rooms, extremely comfortable and clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. 2 minute walk to the tower of London and the nearest underground. Absolutely amazing and the sky lounge was great even though it was packed.

Had a slight issue with the AC clicking on and off but they gladly switched my room. The executive lounge was great to have access to as well. Had breakfast in the morning and small plates/drinks in the evening. The atmosphere of the hotel was very enjoyable and it's location is close to many day spots. The evenings, not so much though. They do have a cool bar on the roof though!

We stayed at this hotel during our four days in London. There is nothing to say if only I would recommend this hotel without any hesitation!
The hotel is very welcoming is very clean, the rooms are beautiful, modern and the view is superb! The staff was very attentive and very available. Due to its location, this hotel allows you to visit London while being very quiet. The breakfast is also very varied and hearty which allowed us to always find satisfaction. A big thank you to the staff members for their kindness and their welcome! We will return with great pleasure.

The best stay I've had for a long time. Upgraded to a suite, complimentary bar, great breakfast, brilliant location for my local training course. I'm coming back to stay here every time I'm in town. Loved it… especially the cookies!

For many hotels this would be a four or five star review, however in this case given the price point, and the premium reputation of the brand, I feel the hotel was a bit below expectations. I have spent a significant amount of time staying at Premier Inn hotels this year due to work, and I have found most Premier Inn rooms to be better maintained. The level of comfort was slightly worse also. Check in took a long time, and it felt like I was asked for a lot of personal information which was already on the booking. On the plus side rooms are very clean and tidy, the location is excellent, and the view is quite good from the higher floors.

First: Overnight stay from Thursday to Sunday with breakfast. Simple room.
Reception: Very friendly. Two trainees have taken over the check-in accompanied by a receptionist. Officially Check In 15:00. Already at 10:00 (yourself! ) were able to get into our room. There was a warm cookie for the welcome.
Rooms: Modern. Clean. Good bed. Imac. Tea service. Ironing board and safe in the cupboard. Zimmer has air conditioning, which you can arrange for yourself. The bathroom is modern to me good ventilation. Disadvantage: Socket at the sink to use only for razors. View of an office building. Plus point: Windows can be opened. But there is no water in the room. That's a shame.
Service: Extremely good. Reception is very well informed and polite.
Breakfast: Very rich. Divided into typical English;
Muesli, porridge, juices;
Pastries.
At the entrance there is always a service force, which greets you and escorts you to the table. It is asked directly whether coffee or tea. Employees constantly run through the room and clear dishes. So really permanent. Sstripping politely around the tables and asking if they are allowed to clear something. If you have juice or water and they see that it is empty, you will be asked if they should fill you up. Very nice. There are several different newspapers for free. Only on Sunday morning did I have a rude employee who, when I asked about coffee, rolled his eyes and later popped my pot on the table.

Overall a very nice stay. Rooms are comfortable, clean and tidy, though not big. There is a mac computer instead of TV in the rooms. It is OK but the volume is on some cases too low. Breakfast is good and the bar on the 12th floor is great at night with wonderful views towards Tower Bridge and the Tower of London.

Originally we booked another hotel but we were transferred to DoubleTree due to unforeseen problems. We were very happy with the hotel. The breakfast buffet was extensive and there was something for everyone. Our room was clean and comfortable. The sky lounge is a must see, the views are gorgeous in the evening. Wifi worked throughout our stay and the hotel location is very convenient. All and all very happy with the experience and would stay again.

Standard Queen room, was spacious and clean. Bed nice and firm. Mac in room that's used for TV / radio etc. Doesn't go very loud. Air con a bit odd, doesn't seem to do much and fairly noise. Sky bar was excellent, view was incredible. Service very good, drinks were expensive though. Cocktails we're £14+ each. Checking in took a while as extra security required photo-id. Staff very helpful. Would stay again, very impressed.

Double tree hilton is a nice hotel, clean well done hotel. Staff are very professional but did come across as a little cold. They could do with more people on the checking in desk as there were queues building throughout the afternoon. It was probably just about value for money but the rooms are quite basic. The location is excellent with great links just outside hotel and site seeing.

I loved my room. It was really nice and tidy with all necessary amenities. The service and staff were very helpful. The food was very tasty. Room service was great. The breakfast buffet was abundant though you should prepare for some wait times around 9 a. M.

I didn't like the hotel. The rooms are small. But the location is very good-Liverpool Street is just 10 mins walk.

Great hotel, good views from some rooms, fantastic from the rooftop bar which gets busy with non-guests in the evening. Contemporary modern rooms, especially good in the executive floors. Try to get one at the furthest western end of the hotel as they are even larger than normal. Some have internal views to the courtyard which is pretty. Stayed here 3 times & not experienced any noise disturbance from outside. Very short walk from Tower Hill tube.

Horrible! We called 1 day in advance to let the hotel know we would arrive 1 day late. To our surprise the hotel decided it was in their best interest NOT to honor the 24 hour notice policy and charged us the extra night. The hotel reservation manager was very rude and felt it was the hotel's right to make these judgments. We will stay at Marriotts from here forward! Too bad as the hotel is very nice but the staff and the management are running this pace into the ground. I've been staying here for 7 years … but will never come back.

Good central hotel to the Underground and the Light Rail/DLR. So close to London Tower and Tower Bridge. Rooms were clean but Queen room was a bit small for the price but it was only me there on business. I'd stay here again. I am Hilton Gold and they had no upgrade for me though.

Wonderful bar on the top floor with magnificent views over the Tower of London and Tower Bridge.

Great hotel walking distance from tower of London. There's a wetherspoons just around the corner. Staff are friendly and rooms are good size. The breakfast room is tiny for the size of the hotel and gets really busy so we go around the corner to the pub. Parking is very limited to about 10 cars under the hotel. The roof top bar or sky lounge as they call it has good views but expensive drinks. You don't have be a guest of the hotel to use it either.

I've been coming back to this hotel since forever. This is perhaps my 14th time. And every time I stay here, the service the hotel provides me with re-affirms why I keep coming back.

It was OK, there are nicer hotels for less. The food is fine and there's no TV in the rooms, just a pc in the corner with a tiny screen the beds are about the same as a premier Inn the breakfast is nice although on more than one occasion colleagues have have their rooms cancelled with no notice and had to sleep kn the office.

I was greeted at Reception and taken to a receptionist who was free to check me in & handed a warm cookie. How lovely to be greeted by smiling faces, all of which looked genuine. The room was perfectly adequate for our stay, and comfortable. All the staff I encountered were very helpful and very cheerful. The food was excellent. I loved the Sky Bar in the evenings. Perfectly situated for the sites!

Lovely hotel, the hotel and restaurant staff are fantastic and helpful. The room I had was top floor and well presented. Location is great, near London Bridge. Wouldn't change a thing.

Reception staff are efficient and knowledgeable. Rooms are cozy and adequate; just as you'd expect for this area of London. The executive lounge is great for a quiet and simple breakfast compared to the city market restaurant. It has a bit more space to pull out your laptop and prepare for the day's meetings ahead, as well as being less crowded.

Very nice hotel and great amenities. Great place to stay to see some sights and it is only a quick tube ride to go more central or its a short walk to get the clipper up the Thames. Service is also great and staff are always been helpful.

Great location for a short distance to Tower Hill underground to get anywhere else in London, and a stunning view of Tower Bridge. Executive rooms are not much larger than standard, so additional cost is mainly for a higher room and executive lounge access. All in all, both partner and I agree that it is worth every penny and would certainly do it again.

Plush furniture, welcoming staff, quality rooms and service. Could do with a shop onsite for necessitates, as closest one is 20 minute walk. Warm cookie is great signature buu Doubletree. £30 parking for 24h, average for a city hotel. Recommended stay, comfortable hotel!

Long queues at checkin but went down fast. Got a checkin "cookie" which was a little strange but nice touch. Room was average size for London. Clean, tidy, comfortable. Good selection at breakfast. All staff were polite, welcoming, friendly and more than happy to go out of their way to help.

We love this place, such a great location down by The Thames and close to Tower Bridge. There are some really nice restaurants close by, including a superb indian restaurant. The hotel is handy for both river taxi's and river cruise excursions and public transport via the underground. We had a small upgrade which included a lounge with free drinks and snacks and this was a lovely touch and something we enjoyed throughly. The roof top bars is superb if the weather is good. All in all a great place to stay. We would love to stay here again when in London for the marathon next year, however it is a little pricey for that particular stay. This is based of course on supply and demand for that particular stay, but typically the value offered is good.

Great rooftop bar with superb views of the city. The most bizarre idea of decorating the bar area with plastic lobsters, fishing nets and a fishing boat. Cornwall fishing village this ain't…

Already several times. There have been, as it still. A Says the Hotel was. Great house tips. English breakfast. Super Terrace. Unfortunately a bit expensive.

Hotel security attempted to force their way into my room tonight while I was sleeping. They claimed to be concerned because my "do not disturb" sign was on my door for too long (but I only checked in last night). I thought the ponit of the "do not disturb" sign was to be able to get some peace and quiet, but apparently to the Doubletree it's code for "send a man to open a female guest's door while she's sleeping". Thankfully I had my chain lock on, so I didn't wake up to see a strange man at the foot of my bed… but was still quite scared at the door being forced open against the chain lock. Nothing like this has EVER happened to me at any hotel anywhere in the world. I definitely do not feel safe here anymore, and obviously staff do not care about the privacy of their guests.

We stay here everytime we come into London. It's an easy tube ride to all stations and covent garden. The hotel is clean. The staff are friendly and the breakfast selection is good.

Quick overnight in the City of London for a business meeting, when I arrived reception had only one person checking in, so it took me like 15 mins just to arrive to check in. Room was good and spacious, but they have the apple computers instead of tv, which its cool but the screen is so tiny and the volume is so quiet… also I had 2 single beds instead of the requested queen bed, that was also annoying, anyway I would stay here again, nice rooftop bar!

+ Off the tourist tracks but close to everything, + contemporary but inviting interior, + delicious breakfast, + attentive staff Surfing the web to find an affordable hotel in London I ended up with a bargain for the Mint/Doubletree Tower of London! First I was skeptical since rates under £100 usually means thick carpets in the bathroom, moldy air and run out furniture in England’s metropolis but I was incredible wrong. The Mint/Doubletree is awesome and I would return immediately! At our arrival a super friendly receptionist who fulfilled our wish to a quiet room with a nice outlook greeted us. We really liked the sleek, modern and still cozy the interior of the rooms. A design that completely runs through the whole hotel, from the rooftop, down to the breakfast room and mainly attracts a young and sophisticated target group. Its location is great and racking my brain over it before was redundant. I haven’t been to London for several years and thought that the hotel’s location at Tower Hill would be too far off but again I was wrong. The surrounding transformed over the years and with areas like Shoreditch and Bermondsey close by it is a great starting point to discover the city’s nightlife in the East. If you prefer a classier surrounding than the new hotspots the area around St. Katherine’s Pier or at Butlers Wharf have a lot of variety to explore. The tube is around the corner and within 10 minutes you are at Embankment.

Visited in Autumn 2012 and booked into a King City Suite. Had amazing views over the tower of london. The room was large and comfortable with a lounge area and great bathrooms, comfortable bed. There was an incredible sky bar on the top of the building with a big outdoor terrace, again — views were stunning panoramic over the river and had a good cocktail menu.

I was sent in Tower of London DoubleTree by my company for a week. My room was booked for my attendance in a company conference. I loved the business atmosphere and business people I was coming across in the pleasant lobby and restaurant of the hotel as there were no loud tourists, who are looking for some fun. I did not get to do much sightseeing, because I could manage to do lots of work, so it is a good choice! 5 stars for sure.
