Convenient location, cozy bed, big room, delicious breakfast and good service.

Very well situated close to railway station and the town centre. Welcoming staff, clean and comfortable room.

Very nice comfortable hotel. Rooms very well appointed and newly refurbished. Quite pricey for one night =£179. Bathroom, linen and super comfy beds.

The hotel looked a little dodgy from the outside but very nice rooms with nice touches such as complimentary water and fruit in rooms. Bathroom lovely and modern would stay again.

Just one night stay, but the room was clean. The location is perfect to do sightseeing.

The location of this hotel is very handy for Oxford city centre and the train station. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room itself was ok. The decor is a bit dated and basic but we it was comfortable and we slept well. We didn’t hear much noise from the bars and clubs nearby and we stayed on a Saturday night. I do think the price is quite high for the standard of room compared to other hotels I have stayed in.

Clean and comfortable rooms at reasonable price. Good location. Not far from the train station. Public parking nearby. Can walk to all the attractions in the town.

The hotel is very clean, light and comfortable especially the bed. You will wake up fresh after 1 night deeply sleeping on.
All stuffs in room are all clean and very good.
Especially it was very awesome for our trip with the best reception girl named Prettya, she is lovely and helpful. We were very sad that no chance to say a big thanks with her again cause she was in the night shift.

Nice hotel, well situated for the city centre and train station. Clean room and friendly staff. Rooms may be noisy for some due to location on a busy road but I was fine. Didn't try breakfast as wasn't required. Would definitely use again.

Useful location. Mostly friendly staff. Small, but tastefully decorated, clean room with good tea/coffee making facilities and fresh fruit. However… Soundproofing isn't the best. Shower didn't work properly (no hot water. Staff couldn't fix and didn't offer another room) No lifts would be an issue for disabled guests. I wouldn't stay at this one again.

Comfortable, intensely friendly staff. My only complaint is that access to wall outlets is the most inconvenient/non-existent ordeal of any hotel or place I've stayed in in my entire life. Bring an extension cord for sure!

Staff were pleasant in helping out after asking for local directions for an evening out. The hotel is nicely situated near tha Said business school in quite a vibrant open spot in Oxford.

Really great service at this hotel. Staff were very friendly and the room had everything you want including a fruit bowl! Location is great. I'll be booking here again in future.

Great location, dated but comfortable. Expensive for what it is, but hotels in Oxford are pricey.

Nice stay in the Royal Oxford. Comfortable room and nice bathroom with plenty of hot water. Nice treats left in the room. Car parking unusual (park in Office Suites next door so you cannot use your car after 6pm until 10.30 following day), but really friendly and helpful staff. Nice breakfast with helpful staff again. Perfect if you travel by train as it is opposite the train station.

Great location, just steps away from the train station. The bottom floor of the hotel is a Korean restaurant, with the actual hotel entrance a small side door. No lift in the hotel. Rooms were clean but basic. It was very hot so we opened the windows but the noise was horrendous. Even with the windows closed could still hear late night revellers. Definitely paying for location and not quality.

The rooms are clean and the beds are good. People are nice, but internet sucks and breakfast isn't great either; very minimal.

Here for one night, lovely room and comfy bed, lovely gesture having a bowl of fresh fruit and bottles of water in room. Plenty of choices for breakfast. Very close to station, castle, shops and places of interest. The only thing that spoilt it for me was I could not get Wi-Fi in my room (115).

You can clearly hear people's conversations next door. We also had a massive issue with the shower: You need a Phd to operate the damn thing and we couldn't get it to stay warm for love nor money. The night staff weren't helpful on this matter. So we had cold showers during our thankfully short stay! The woman we spoke to on checkout seemed fully aware of the shower problems and was very apologetic. But this was all too late. The hotel seriously needs a shower upgrade! No lifts may be an issue for disabled guests. I've stayed in far worse hotels to be fair, and I wouldn't call it 'terrible'… but I wouldn't stay at this one again.

Really didn't enjoy staying here. No on-site parking so had to park 10 minutes away in an extortionate priced car park. No food facilities either. The room they put me in was right on a busy street corner so I heard traffic all night. I wouldn't stay here again. Good location in the centre though.

The hotel is well located near the train station and close to the city amenities. The check-in was quick and the staff throughout the stay were very helpful. The rooms were very hot though, with all radiators set to 5 and on a mild December day (12c at the time) this meant the room was stifling. Although I tweaked the radiator the room was far too hot for comfort as I suspect surrounding rooms radiators were also set high. This led to me having a pretty uncomfortable sleep unfortunately and hence the loss of star.

The hotel is very close to the Oxford train station, about 5 mins walk. Good service and clean rooms, but without lifts, might have to walk up to 2 levels of stairs.

Room was fairly clean, with fresh fruit in the room. Hotel is a very good location for train station. Friendly staff. One pane of window broken in room, but this was covered with secondary glazing. Radiator and air conditioning with controller supplied. Suitable for business use, but I wouldn't recommend for a romantic getaway.

Similar price as Hilton (which we didn't like much), but comfortable rooms, and better breakfast since you get to choose among traditional British breakfast, omelette and other stuff. Very close to the station (about 4/5 minutes walk if you're with luggages). Only problem during our stay was that the Wi-Fi dropped twice and they had to reset the router.

This is a very well redecorated hotel in the centre of Oxford, which deserves a lot more praise. Comfortable, Inexpensive, Quiet, considering its location with such pleasant staff, who do their best to accommodate your most reasonable requests.

There's a whiff of new paint smell so it looks like it's been recently done up. And it shows with the nice clean room that I had. Everything is good from location to price to facilities. Only downside and it's a major one is that sound proofing is very bad and traffic noise can be heard easily; the hotel is at a cross junction! If you do stay try and ask for a room that does not face the traffic.

The hotel is very centrally located (10 minutes to the train station and the Centre). The hotel staff is very friendly and competent.
The rooms are functionally furnished and everything worked as well as expected. The hotel was very clean and tidy. Despite the surrounding streets you hear even none of the noise in the hotel (very well insulated).

Popped into CoCos while I was having my car tyre changed and decided to have quick FEB, which was tasty, quickly cooked (I said I was in a hurry), and good value. Surprisingly pleasant surroundings for somewhere so near the station.

Near Railway station, so not far to drag your case. Room is clean and comfortable, if a little dark. Wi-Fi internet is very flakey and unreliable. Breakfast is in the adjoining cafe Coco and is fine, but nothing special. I would be happy to stay here again.
