Very safe and well organised.

Accommodating and helpful staff very smiley even under pressure with a mass group of cheerleaders for breakfast today they were all great.

Lovely friendly and helpful, professional staff with lots of very welcome local knowledge and advice. Room very clean and food very good for a basic buffet.

Great staff even when fully booked acted professionally and also breakfast was handled great will be back.

Stayed here for one night. Parking was easy, check in really quick. Breakfast, not a lot of choice for cooked breakfast but good enough and hot. Few down points to mention. Shower really slippy, only 2 plug sockets in room. One for kettle, and only 1 lift which takes a while. Still, would still recommend.

Clean and quiet, lovely fresh food at breakfast. Room wasn't quite ready when we arrived and so we were given complimentary drinks. All staff really friendly and professional. Lots of space in rooms, comfy beds and a lush shower.

The staff here are lovely and have a great sense of humour and will do anything they can to accommodate you thank you to them all xx.

Great service, for starters we arrived early after a 19 hour journey and the staff made a special effort to prepare a room for us. Great information on where to eat and an excellent breakfast. Very kind and courteous staff and lovely dining/sitting area.

Ideal for a short visit to Derby. We always stay here as it is clean, well staffed and reasonably priced. We always get a comfortable nights sleep. Great location too.

Not the best hotel. Breakfast was terrible; not much choice and no non dairy options (I didn't have time to ask a member of staff). Room wasn't exactly spotless but clean enough. The bed is comfortable enough. Staff at front desk were friendly and tried to help where they could.

Amazing price for what you get, nice room lovely buffet breakfast can't fault them. Only negative is the drinks are expensive.

Prefer rooms with showers so that this hotel is really my choice. Clean and furnished with all necessary items. The idea for putting hangers is more useful and practical than a cupboard instead. If you forget some amenities such as toothpaste and brush, you can request them at reception. Key cards used for the doors. I’ll rather go to hotels like Holiday Inn Express because I do not wish to stay at cheap old hotels that look like haunted buildings. Check-in/out is very easy and quick, too.

Had a great stay until I left a very expensive pair of sunglasses there. Called up to find there was "no record" of them being found by housekeeping despite leaving them on the bedside table. Really disappointing and completely ruined my opinion of this place.

Nice friendly hotel offering comfortable lodgings. Usual room amenities. Pleasant stay. Staff very hospitable and keen to make your stay as pleasurable as possible.

We had a great (and quiet) stay. Very clean hotel and room, staff were very attentive, helpful and knowledgeable. Breakfast was very good and far better than we had expected. It's obviously organised and ran very well. Thank you.

Nice hotel. Great helpful staff. Delicious food. Comfortable bed and room. Just a short walk into town by the river Derwent. Referring to staff, we weren't sure because of the weather conditions if we would be able to make the journey but Graham was extremely helpful. Thank you to all for an enjoyable stay. My only nit pick is that there are no drawers for storage in the room but as I said great anyway.

All staff good and very helpful, but watch out for the parking fine that will come through your door if you do not make sure you are registered on their parking system. They don't register your car, you have to, but they might forget to tell you. Getting it removed will not be easy.

This is a more basic version of the Holiday Inn located near the bus station in the centre of Derby. The rooms are comfortable but basic in decoration and facilities. There is a free breakfast with a continental selection, and limited hot choices normally scrambled egg and bacon or a sausage patty. There is ample parking outside in the barrier controlled car park. Whilst you can't eat here in the evenings, it is situated close enough to a Harvester, Chicquitos and Seven restaurant. The railway station is about a 5 minute walk away.

We had a lovely overnight stay in the hotel. Great value for the £40 we paid. Having to check out early the next day before breakfast started we were able to grab coffee and a small breakfast to take out with us. Very friendly staff.

We had a pleasant overnight stay. The hotel is ideally situated close to Derby station (5 minute walk). It is however a little tricky to get to on foot from the city centre — unless you know the area. Rooms are small but well equipped and very clean. We didn't have time to make full use of the breakfast facilities but staff were happy for us take a few items to go before breakfast had actually started.

A well priced hotel less than fifteen minutes walk from the centre of Derby. Free parking, free hot and cold breakfast, a bar, several restaurants in walking distance and comfortable functional rooms. Pillows could be nicer, but I'm nitpicking to bring that up.

One of the better ones in the area, very close to the centre and a couple of places to eat and drink just outside. Breakfast included, clean and tidy. Rooms are ok, a bit small if you are sharing with your kids. Beds are very hard. Staff are warm and welcoming.

Stayed in plenty of Holiday Inn Express hotels. This is one of the best. Excellent value and for my last stay the staff on duty were brilliant.

Lovely hotel with friendly staff but the room has the noisiest air conditioning unit I've ever heard. Even with it switched off, the noise from the units in neighbouring rooms kept me awake. A real shame, as the hotel is really nice with a pleasant lounge and good selection for breakfast.

It's a good hotel, close to Pride Park football stadium. You can walk downtown in about 15 minutes. The rooms are on the smaller but efficient side and the air-conditioner is a small unit mounted on the wall over the bed in all rooms I have stayed in. Personally, I don't like that, hence the 1-star reduction. The hotel has a bar, so that's a plus and there are a few restaurants just outside within 2 minutes walking distance.

Rooms are well equipped with TV, hair dryer, kettle, coffee/tea and an iron. The bathroom was functional and the shower was better than most I've used at hotels. The room was also very clean. I thought the bed was comfy along with the sofa and desk chair. The only thing I can think of that I don't like in the room is there is no socket next to the bed for phones so your phone will have to go opposite the bed. Found the breakfast to be okay but nothing special. I did like the pizza you can order though, that was nice. The small bar has an alright selection of drinks. No room service to be found though, although that isn't really problem as I don't use it. Staff were soooo helpful and very nice.

Arrived Sunday afternoon, reception staff very friendly, room clean, nice white bedding, bed comfy, nice big fluffy towels and I was impressed with the bathroom/toilet door — good idea. Breakfast was good cereals, yoghurt, fruit, bacon, sausage, egg and beans, toast, croissants. All in all a very pleasant stay.

Best place I have been all year. They have friendly staff and give good advice. Would recommend.

Pleasant experience, lovely bteakfast plenty of choice buffet style. We are staying for 7 days. Comfortable beds, friendly staff. Nothing is too much trouble. Would recommend.

It's in a good location a 5min drive from the city centre. The hotel was very clean and tidy with friendly staff on the reception. Our room was very tidy and was what I would of expected for the price of the room. We had breakfast included with our room and there was a nice selection of breakfast items but not a massive selection. The only thing that was up with the stay is the toilet smelt very bad when used.

Very impressed will return. Husband is disabled and room was perfect loafs of room to get him around in his chair. Breakfast amazing so much choice and amount thanku holiday in staff all very freindly xxx.

Staff were friendly and helpful in allowing us to use one of our rooms early to change for a family wedding. Disappointed that despite confirming the numbers the settee beds were not made up when we returned at 11pm. The duty manager was very apologetic and brought linen quite quickly. The breakfast was limited and the tables weren't cleared during service but this was only an Express so probably shouldn't expect too much. All in all though it was good value and served out need well.

Close to station. 10 minute walk to town centre. Twin room was slightly small but fine. Bed and pillows were comfortable, room was a comfortable temperature. Included breakfast was the standard fare with a good choice. Staff were friendly.

Loved our bonfire and Christmas shopping night away, lovely place, 10 minutes walk to intu shopping centre, lovely staff and very helpful, rooms clean and comfortable and if you forget toiletries staff are on hand to help. Breakfast was good and staff said they were in the process of adding more choice. Most enjoyable stay and will definitely be returning.

Stayed in the hotel whilst at download festival. The staff were very helpful letting us leave bags in the hotel before the room was ready. Breakfast was good and came as a much needed morning cure after each days rocking. Rooms were well cleaned, and had everything we needed.

Great location just minutes drive from the city centre. Good size clean rooms. Good breakfast selection.

It's very futile. Rooms are very conjusted. Carpits are dirty. Beds are very horrible. I really don't like. Travel lodge is better than that rooms are wide and better than holiday Inn.

Stayed here for 3 nights for the Rangers Vs Derby game a few years ago friendly staff who we got talking to who gave us a free drink at the bar on the final night and the paid Wi-Fi code for free on day 2 of being there would reccomend this hotel friendly staff and nice good sized rooms :)

Nice room, friendly staff, very pleasant stay.

Confusing, booked online and provided card details at time only to be told by hotel when I got there that I owed £69 and the online details didn't count. Booked for 4 guests including 2 children and when got into room the sofa bed wasn't made up and there was no quilts or pillows for it so had to complain to reception and they had a maid make the bed up who arrived in an outdoor coat with a child. A little while later when making my kids a drink I realised that there was also only 2 cups included in the room so had to fetch some more from reception. The hotel itself was nice but rooms felt very dated the whole thing lacked that 'Premier Feel' that you get with another particular rival hotel chain for the same money. I will not be staying here again — disappointed.

Nice hotel nice room. Our 7 year old is very impressed with his bed.

OK place for a quick stay-the room was really cold and you can't really adjust the temperature of the room! Had broken bathrooms a few times as well. But they were relatively quick with fixing the issues. Breakfast was included in the package and it was pretty good.

Nice express, not very special but does what it says, value for money good for a one night stay if you are on business trip.

This is a perfect business hotel. Obviously built to a formula, but it's a formula that works. Highly recommend it.
