Absolutely beautiful huge 4 poster bed, great TV and lovely hosts x.

Neat and clean room, comfortable bed but down side is lack of mixer in the wash basin.

Excellent place to stay great food and very clean. Lovely couple couldn't do enough for you. Would definitely stay here again.

Good atmosphere. Good price drinks, cheaper than by the lake.

Booked as a surprise Xmas break for my husband but we were very, very disappointed! Room 1 was a small and basic room with 1 chair and 1 bedside cabinet and would ideally be suitable for a single person and as we have just read on a TripAdvisor review was 'dog-friendly' The bathroom was small with access to the basin in the bedroom which in my opinion is not very hygienic.

We stayed for 2 nights, we had a lovely spacious room which was always clean and tidy. Great location for visiting windemere and nearby locations and the owners were very welcoming, making our short stay very comfortable!

Stayed here last weekend in room 3 and loved it, room very clean and the place itself in a good location for places to go on foot, breakfast was lovely as were the owners, will definitely be back to stay again xxx.

We stayed at this property for a girl birthday weekend away this place is so beautiful and cosy. The room I stayed in was a four poster bed room which was beautiful. The staff are really friendly and happy to help with anything. Also breakfast is amazing I would recomend this place to everyone and its in the center of bowness.

Great b&b in a fantastic location, breakfast is excellent! The owners make you feel very welcome and they have a lovely cosy bar and outside seating so you can enjoy the view.

This was a last minute check in as the Windermere hydro was sub standard. We were made to feel welcome by Steve and Jodi and soon settled in. The location is fantastic. The cottage is a listed building so you need to accept all the wee quirks. We had everything we needed. Nice coffee/tea tray and bathroom toiletries. We would definitely return there. Glad we moved from the hydro. Thanks for a good weekend.

Great place to stop in Bowness on Windermere staff are brilliant rooms are clean and tidy. And breakfast is lovely, been twice and will definitely be back soon.

Brill place central, could not fault it made to feel welcome, nice larl beer garden and parking too hosts brill.

This is a fantastic place im staying right now in 10 and its friendly good service and has workers that can talk about everything best place ever well recommend.

Location: Laurel Cottage is located less than 50 metres from the heart of Bowness-on-Windermere, near the majority of the shops, restaurants and pubs, it is also very close to the piers that host the Windermere lake cruises. Despite this, it is not noisy or crowded near the cottage. Rooms: The rooms are clean and include a shower and toilet, towels, a wardrobe, toiletries, tea and coffee making facilities and biscuits. Service: Rooms are cleaned daily, biscuits and refreshments are also restocked daily. Breakfast is served from 8:30 to 9:30. This was served quickly and was delicious. Overall:9/10 Very good.

We were well looked after by the host's, the food was excellent and the cottage is in ideal position to explore the area.

Lovely homely cottage in the heart of bowness. It's our second stay here and we will be back again. The staff are extreamly friendly, they can't do enough for you.

Just got back after spending a lovely couple of nights here. Wayne and Alison made us feel very welcome and were always on hand to offer some great advice on where to eat on an evening. Breakfast was great and the room was perfect. They even managed to arrange some wine and flowers for me! It was mine & husbands 25th wedding anniversary 2 each other. Wanted 2 go somewhere special. We defo got that laurel cottage was our special place. In the middle ov everything walking distance 2 the lake, bars& food etc. Defo returning my number 1place& hotel❤

Excellent bnb. Friendly, helpful staff, very good breakfasts. Good central location for anywhere in the lakes. Was within walking distance of some very good bars and restaurants in the town. We had a back room so was fairly quiet at night. The building itself was originally an 17th century Grammar school and it has a bit of a quirky feel to it with all different stairs and passages that I enjoyed. I have travelled the world over and all the hotels and bnb's blend into one. This one does stand out as something different. Hope you all enjoy it as much as me, my wife and daughter did. Thanks again to Steve and Jodi for making us welcome. June 2017.

Can't fault this place, fantastic location, right in the middle of all pubs and restaurants, great hospitality and lovely breakfast, would definitely stay again.

This place is amazing. Staff were amazing always. Our room was surprisingly good. Well located to everything, all walking distances. The breakfasts was some of the best I've ever had. Will come again I'm sure.

Very good location. Up market village of windermere 5 mins walk away. Owners are very friendly and give a very warm welcome.

Fantastic stay, warm welcome from the host and she mentioned she had given us a bigger room which is always nice! The room was very clean and tidy, and had a nice view of the forests. The road was a bit noisy outside but with the windows closed you could barely hear anything and it was just a busy day anyway. Breakfast was really lovely, there was the option for a full English or various eggs on toast, and cereal, yogurt and fruit to start. Coffee was freshly made and you could help yourself. Overall, nothing seemed too much trouble and we will definitely book again!

Me and my girlfriend have just spent 4 nights in the 4 poster room. Wayne and Alison made us feel so welcome they always made the effort to ensure that we were happy with everything and the little touches like the specials board for breakfast was amazing especially the honey bacon and eggy bread was stunning. There recommendations for the local restaurants was also seriously helpful, My girlfriend had a great birthday meal at Francines restaurant as well. If you have 1 night spare I can't recommend laurel cottage enough honestly it was like a home from home except we didn't have to make breakfast. I am so greatful to Wayne and Alison for making our holiday away so special. See you again very soon.

The location is great and friendly staff however the room was tiny and the shower and toilet was across the corridor. It was the smallest shower room I have come across no room to move at all very disappointed. The breakfast was good but the room and facilities let it down for me. Wi-Fi was not working either. Shame don't fancy showing in a cupboard again!

Lovely room breakfast in your room four poster bed slept like a baby really comfortable. Nice friendly staff glad to help you. Lovely location really enjoyed are stay would recommend to anyone.

Wonderful stay except Wi-Fi not so good, but then it make u go out to enjoy the place.

The guest house is really well located right in the heart of the town close to all restaurants, bars and shops. Room rates are very reasonable for the area and the couple that run are very warm and welcoming. The only downsides to our stay was our room didn't seem to be level. Even the bed seemed to lean back. The windows were the old fashioned pull up pull down ones, and not very soundproofed from all the late night revellers. The bathroom has electric plumbing as in, toilet flushes, running the traps or having a shower envoked an electric motor to drain the water. But this was not a problem for me. Breakfasts were always HOT not just warm like some places and very filling if you had the full English. Wonderful stay in a wonderful town.
