Great food — if you can eat it before the wasps! Mine cost £45 for lunch for two with no alcohol and my plate was swarmed — after 20 minutes of waiting for the wasps to go and trying to wave them away (4 on my actual food at once) — I gave up and left. I’d had 3 bites. It was awful. Also, my mum popped in the loo and said it was dirty with no toilet roll or hand soap. She thought it was awful. It’s a shame as it has one of the nicest views in Bowness.

Loved it here. Great atmosphere with lovely food and drinks. The location is spot on with views over Lake Windermere. I can't wait to return.

Well organised, good selection of drinks. We only had a bowl of fries but they were quick and really tasty. Looking forward to trying something else next time.

A beautiful setting, gorgeous food, fast service and very very reasonable prices. We always come back when we visit.

Bought substantial meal had one drink, dishes were whisked away as soon as finished. Asked for one more drink, refused unless we ordered more food. Definitely won’t be going back and we are Locals.

Nice outdoor bar, heated and also can be covered on a rainy day. Great drinks menu and light bites.

Very nice atmosphere, very friendly Staff, the Pulled Pork Fries where amazing best I ever had. Nice location, good selection of Beers and Gin and Prosecco. Will come back again, when I am in the area.

Fab day in the sun. Staff very polite and friendly. They forgot are order of food, but we’re very happy to get are order quickly and very Apologetic.

Lovely bar, perfect location and nice drinks… shame about one rude member or bar staff! My dad ordered a Rum Coffee, he had to say it 3 times, he got a Rum on ice by mistake, no problem, explained he asked for a coffee… only to be met by abuse from the rude girl behind the bar… she’s not a mind reader, he should be clearer when he ordered, the drink she poured is going to waste… throwing her hands in the air, tutting! I told her she was being rude and that she’d misheard and she came from the side of the bar to confront me?! I was with my 2 children (aged 7 and 5) not sure what she was planning on doing?! Such a shame, we’ve been here on numerous occasions, but not sure we would return now, horrendous behaviour from a staff member towards a paying customer!

Great place to chill and people watch. Good selection of beers, wines and cocktails but a little pricey. But I suppose you are paying for the location and the view. Very enjoyable experience.

Welcoming and friendly hosts, In the center where all shops and restaurants around also close to the lake where you can do many activities, the room was clean and tidy, classic furniture, the only problem was the water valves in the washroom which were separated so either it's very hot or very cold, plus it’s little bit expensive for bed and breakfast guesthouse.

Excellent size family room, bright airy and clean, bathroom a little dated, but spotless! Christine is very friendly and accommodating. Gorgeous full English Breakfast, very central location, loved our visit and would definitely return.

There is no recipient The water valves are separated so either it's very hot or very cold. Breakfast was OK The entrance was not clear at the beginning. Room is clean In the center where all shops and restaurants around you and vey close to the lake where you can do many activities.
