The room had a lovely view over the Lake. Comfortable bed and nice bathroom. We had a problem but it was speedily rectified. The breakfast was very good as was the evening meal the night we ate in. We had rain one day but it didn't dampen our spirits. Would go again.

Mostly impressed with how helpful the staff were, they let us eat dinner after closing time because we have a baby & lost track of time. Also they made breakfast to takeaway on last day before breakfast kitchen opened at 8am because we had an early appointment. Chef came out to reception to make sure we didn't leave hungry! They were friendly, relaxed. Hotel was in a great location.

Work in progress, needs investment of time and money to up grade the grounds and building to standard of the other partner hotels they have which are of a high standard. But I enjoyed my 2 days there plus I will return soon to the hotel and stay again.

I just had one of the best vacations of my life staying at the Ryebeck for 9 nights and enjoying the Lake District! I LOVED my room (#16) with this gorgeous view! The bed was comfy and the food delicious. I can not say enough good things about the staff. They are super attentive, knowledgeable and eager to help with anything you wish. It is a great central location to walk into Bowness and ride the bus to all the Lake villages. You won't regret booking here.

Easily found from the main road, decent bathroom and fantastic view whilst eating the superb breakfast.

Normally give the Ryebeck 5 stars but I was disappointed with my starter, the number of scallops I got for the price of the starter was very poor.

We went for afternoon tea. A beautiful hotel with views towards lake Windermere. With three varieties if finger sandwiches and loads of cakes and the scones are simply to die fot.

Stunning location, staff professional and helpful all round great place to stay.

Really nice surroundings. Shower in the room was pathetic. But other than that it was a nice hotel.

Being a guest at The Ryebeck Hotel is like being invited to an exclusive country party that nobody else knows about. The rooms are comfortably fitted out, in a stylish manner that remains functional. The food and service in the restaurant is second to none. I'm already looking forward to my next visit (but don't tell anyone, its our secret! )

A quite place near the Windermere lake. Cosy and warm room. Certain rooms can be a little small. Not all the rooms have a bathtub. Love the breakfast and dinner in the hotel restaurant.

Very impressed with this hotel in an area where the choice of hotels is so extensive, but much of it run of the mill. The Ryebeck is well situated with views of the lake from the terrace and dining room, and well maintained grounds provide a nice oasis of calm away from the bustle of the town. We did not dine here but breakfasts were of good quality with good selection of fruit and cereals from the buffet and freshly prepared cooked breakfasts to order. Bedroom was spacious and fresh in decor. Bed was king sized and VERY comfortable. Bathroom with walk in shower was spotless. Public areas had comfortable seating and residents bar (rather pricey hence only 4 stars). Lots of parking. Staff friendly welcoming and helpful.

What a wonderful hotel, set in beautiful surroundings. The hotel has had a lot of work done to keep it modern without turning into a bunch of box rooms. Comfortable bedroom with really good facilities. Free Wi-Fi in the bar and lounge. The staff are the stars though, nothing is too much trouble, whether it is serving the excellent food, bar staff or supplying directions to where you want to be. The breakfast was not of the best I have had in years, cooked exactly as requested. When next we are staying in the area we will make this our Base.

Very nice hotel but VERY noisy in the morning. Cocktail menu was also very poor. Breakfast was good though.

Went for afternoon tea one Saturday. The views of lake Windermere are stunning (despite it being rainy). The staff were lovely and attentive. The afternoon tea was delicious and home made. Couldn't fault it, would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing afternoon!

Excellent food with good service. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Rooms are really lovely, with brilliant views. Drinks are far too expensive, payed £11.95 for a house mixer and a 125ml glass of prosecco, ridiculous! Was attending a wedding which had to be called off at 12, most places are at least licensed until 1am, so this was disappointing. Would go back, if drinks were cheaper!

We received a warm welcome on our arrival. The rooms were very well appointed. The food exceptional. How this place doesn't have a Michelin Star I will never know. Thank you.

We held our wedding ceremony at The Fayrer Garden House Hotel. The whole day was absolutely fantastic. We would recommend this hotel to anyone. We visited quite a few local hotels to host our winter wedding celebrations. The Fayrer was the first on our visit list and after seeing all the others we finally chose The Fayrer, and we certainly weren’t disappointed. From the very first visit, we felt so comfortable with the hotel and its helpful staff. Nicola, the hotel manager made sure the arrangements went smoothly and was so helpful with our plans. We took over the whole hotel for the wedding: in the build up, Nicola showed us most of the accommodation so we could allocate our guests the appropriate rooms ourselves. The hotel is so charming and well maintained, also very cosy. The restaurant overlooks Lake Windermere which gives it an extra special ambience. We were lucky enough to experience a sample evening where the chef cooked some dishes which we were thinking about having on our menu. Every dish was first class and made our final decision that little bit more difficult. We also enjoyed sampling the many wines on offer too! The waiting on staff in the restaurant were pleasant and very efficient, the head waiter was great and looked after us very well. On the day, our guests commented to us how much they enjoyed the meal. Ten of our family stayed over the next night and we enjoyed another culinary delight from the kitchen. The breakfasts are great too.
