We stayed the last weekend in November, during storm Arwen and the snow! We had a fantastic time, the hosts were very friendly and breakfast was amazing. Room was clean with everything you need as well as some extra as which was a lovely touch. We were there for a special birthday and they had decorated the room and provided a cake which was a lovely touch. Even our dog was looked after with sausage for breakfast! The walk down into Keswick doesn’t take long, would definitely recommend and will stay again, thanks for a great weekend.

Simon & Lorna are wonderful hosts. Very thoughtful & knowledgeable about the area. Perfect spot for us with our dog as a 15 min, pleasant walk along the old railway line into Keswick.

My husband and I had an amazing time at Brookfield bed and breakfast. We stayed 4 nights and Simon and Lorna are wonderful hosts, very welcoming and friendly. Brilliant breakfast (especially the sausages — yum! ), great location (10 minutes walk to the town centre) and rooms spot on — very spacious and beds are so comfy. 5 starts and highly recommended. Great place to stay very welcome bed really comfortable view from the window was great. Will definitely be book agian in the future.

An amazing place, lovely stay and Lorna and Simon are incredibly nice, they really know their business, and the area. If you have any question, they will tell you everything (from pubs to places to go). And the rooms were impeccable, I feel really safe sleeping here, everything outstanding, being a critical worker, and having experience dealing with infection control, I can tell it was really clean and spotless. I never felt more welcomed than here. And the breakfast is Great, all my family is very happy with everything. 10 out of 10

Lorna and Simon were very welcoming, friendly and helpful, offering delicious breakfast with a good selection, rooms were clean and attention to detail was outstanding, the guest house is walking distance to town, they offered very good knowledge of places to walk around the area, would highly recommend.

We stayed here for 2 nights on our first ever trip to the Lakes. Lorna and Simon were such wonderful, thoughtful hosts and the B&B is brilliant. Their cooked breakfasts each morning was fantastic and set us up for a full day of walking.
I'm certain this won't be the last time we go back and stay with them. Couldn't recommend enough.

We were so grateful to find this B&B gem in Keswick.
The location is ideal for walking into town and only a very short drive if you prefer to go by car.
The rooms were lovely and gave the feel of a quintessential English home.
The food was great and I was so impressed how they cater for all types of dietary requirements. I sometimes find it hard to find vegan options when travelling but I was blown away by the awareness and choice of the owners.
5 star and Highly recommended.

Beautiful B and B in Keswick, traditional English Victorian style bedrooms, very cosy and with all the amenities you’d need. Only a short walk to the shops and restaurants with beautiful scenery along the way. Simon and Lorna are great hosts and very welcoming. Breakfast was beautiful. Highly recommend.

We booked 2 nights and could have definitely stayed longer quite easily. Simon and Lorna were fantastic hosts, very helpful, friendly and welcoming. The guesthouse was very well equipped… the rooms had everything that you needed! The beds were extremely comfortable which is always a bonus. The breakfast was gorgeous, you order off a menu and this is cooked fresh for you:) The guesthouse is located very central, only a 15 minute walk from the town and Derwent Lake:) … We will definitely be back within the next few months! Thank you for making our amazing holidays even better! It was the best place we stayed in the Lake District. The room was lovely, clean and bright. Breakfast was delicious with many healthy options available and the best was how welcome we felt there. Great hospitality and outstanding value! Ps. All expectations exceeded — including marshmallows in the room to add to our hot chocolate.

Stayed 2 nights and were made to feel very welcome, lovely clean room and super comfy bed, breakfast was delicious and set us up for the day. This was our first visit to the lakes and there was a multitude of great information leaflets on hand in the b&b and Simon & Lorna were there to help with any questions we had. Will defo return and stay here again and recommend to our family and friends.

We stayed here for three nights. The room was spacious and comfortable. The owners are lovely make you feel very comfortable and at home. Breakfast was a delight with good quality bacon and sausages.

Very friendly service with a warm welcome and homily atmosphere. Comfy beds and a great breakfast provide great foundations for the day ahead. Simon and Lorna are very friendly and helpful as they went out of their way to buy in vegetarian bacon and sausages for the breakfast which always delivered. Would thoroughly recommend whether it’s your 1st or 31st time in Keswick as it fits nicely into the local aesthetic, is only a 15 minute walk from Keswick and Simon & Lorna have a good knowledge of the area. Very enjoyable stay. Thanks!

We came all the way from Holland and stayed a wonderful five nights at brookfield with its fresh new owners Simon and Lorna! They just moved in but where in every way the kind, attentive and helpful hosts. The room was clean, neat, cosy and had everything we needed. Perfect beds, guaranteed good nights sleep. Whenever we come back we will definitely return here.

Good clean accomodation with everything provided. Dog friendly too. The owner is available at all times. He is kind and ensures a lovely stay. 10 / 10 for this one!

Very Homely place to stay. Ronnie & family, the owners are very welcoming and caring. The choices of décor, from walls to crockery are perfectly matched. The talent for perfection is far superior to those found in posh hotels. Great housekeeping and very neatly presented. My room had a mountain view and I just couldn't stop seating myself in front of the window and see the snowfall.

Ronnie was really friendly and helped us out with things to do in keswick. Great breakfast and confortable rooms.

Love this place. Ronnie is a wonderful host: welcoming guests with a pot of tea and stack of biscuits that drives out the cold from even the most intrepid of local hikes. The breakfasts are delicious, with a good selection of choices and the decor gives a great atmosphere. While a little out the centre by foot, you are right on the main walking path to the train station with great access to all thenlocal hikes.

An excellent b&b. On arrival Ronnie provided tea and coffee with biscuits which was much appreciated after our journey. He also gave advise on the area, walks/restaurants etc. Our room was very clean with a comfortable bed. The breakfasts, first class. A credit to the UKs b&b industry.

This is an excellent b&b. We stayed in the family room which is very spacious. The breakfast was first class and the host, Ronnie was very knowledgeable of the area and the best places to eat.

Well, we've just had our 2nd amazing breakfast here, & we highly recommend it.
Straight from our arrival the owner Ronnie has been great, making us a drink with some biscuits, & even some biscuits for our dog.
He sat with us & explained all the places of interest, & where we could take our pooch.
The room we have (3) is very clean & comfortable, & Ronnie provides you with everything you might need.
Unfortunately it's now time for us to go home, but rest assured we will return.

Stayed here numerous times and each time it has been great. Ronnie is brilliant nothing is too much trouble for him. Rooms are clean and cosy and his breakfasts are delicious.

Lovely guest house. Ronnie was a delightful host and very helpful, answering our many questions about the area. We were two couples spending two nights at the Brookfield. Our rooms were quite comfortable and the breakfasts were delicious. We highly recommend the Brookfield.

Brookfield was a sweet, little B&B just outside of the Keswick's main hub with access to lots of different walking options. Ronnie was personable and very informative. The room was clean and cozy. A great homebase for the Lake District!

Very easy to find is the first thing we noticed after arriving on the Penrith Road. We were given a very warm welcome by Ronnie who showed us to our lovely room, and then over fresh coffee he sat down with us and gave a very good guide of local walks and amenities etc. The room was very clean with all the necessary things to make for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The bed was comfortable and the shower room very clean and modern. Breakfast menu is varied and the full English that I chose was delicious, and as my girlfriend was in the room with the Dog, Ronnie provided a breakfast on a tray for her which we appreciated. As lovers of walking and photography we were pleased to be close to Castlerigg stone circle, and had some excellent photo oportunities. We shall definitely be booking again in the near future as this is probably one of the best Dog friendly B&Bs we have stayed in… thanks Ronnie.
