Quiet pools near the rooms were great. We used the grills near our building. All was great. We did take transportation to Hilton Waikaloa and used their pools for a day. Only downside. Upon check-in, they read us so many policies and rules as if we were in trouble. Check-in did not have Spirit of Aloha.

Our favorite accommodations in Waikoloa. Layout works well for families. Can also work for two couples (second room is smaller with two beds). Full kitchen with dining area and nice sized loving area. There is no restaurant here. Pool bar open daily from 11 to 7 with a few food options. Do buy the reusable drink glass at the bar. Refills with many of there specialty cocktails are just $7. On the first day, we make a run to the market at Waikoloa Village (about 7 miles) which is cheaper than the market in the Queen's Marketplace. They now also have a very limited (3 options) family dinner option that can be sent to your room.

Hilton Grand Vacations Kohala Suites is an amazing place to stay in Waikoloa on the Big Island. We booked for 4 nights here and had an amazing experience from check in to check out. Bernadette was very professional while checking us in. We arrived two hours before check in and our room wasn’t quite ready and she offered to hold our refrigerated items for us until the room was ready. Withing 10 mins our room was ready. The room we had was in building 15 grandfloor and it was right next to the pool. If you have children this is the building you want to request and also ask for a ground floor so the children can play in the grass in front of your room. The room was in really good condition like it was recently renovated. It had a full kitchen, washer dryer, living room space with a pull out sofa bed and 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. The swimming pool area was really relaxing. There’s a huge hot tub, a big slide and a little one for smaller children. There is even a bar with happy hour from 4-7 pm. Bartender Jacob customer service is out of this world and he knows how to mix some drinks. Also there is a free shuttle that takes you to other Hilton properties and you are able to use there facilities as well. Kohala Suites is a place that me and my family will return every time we make it to Waikoloa.

The facilities were great, but while checking in the resort manager Cheryl Amsbary was berating her staff in a demeaning and malignant manner in front of the guests. I suspect this management may be related to mishaps during our stay such as being told the room would be available for early check in when it wasn’t, and being told there were no shuttles or food nearby when there were. The manager wrote what seemed to be a defense rather than writing an apology or asking to hear about our experiences further. Below was her response. It disturbed me to hear how ready she was to “directly” address her staff’s problems but told us that our complaint of her was simply a “false” perception. We saw what we saw. “Please rest assured that your arrival will be discussed directly with the staff member who had serviced you poorly. I had hoped you wanted to speak to me directly as I am the (female) supervisor that you are stating "berated" the staff in the front lobby. Please be advised that your perception could not be further from the truth, while I may speak firmly with my team, I do not disrespect or yell at them whether in the view of guests or other team members. “

The facilities were great, but while checking in the manager was to the staff in a demeaning and malignant manner in front of the guests. Would hate to have her as a boss. We saw the management reflected in the service such as the room waters not being stocked (had to ask for them each day at the front desk), calling in to confirm early check in and being told the room wasn’t ready until 4pm, and talking with different service staff and confirming that this is not a good place to work. Anyways if you come enjoy you’re vacation. Just be aware it may be supporting a malignant work environment at this time.

Great and quiet apartments next to Waikoloa village. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment that has all the appliance you need and also a nice balcony where you can enjoy the view of the Big Island. Lot of activities during the week (don’t miss the ice cream! ), swimming pool, golf courses, tennis court and gym. Also there is a small shopping mall where you can get your groceries (quite expensive) or do shopping / go out for dinner. Will definitely come back!

This place is beautiful. So keeping in mind that I don't typically put much value on the VIEW from my accommodations. This place was great for me. The accommodations are new-ish, well furnished, of ample size, friendly & helpfully staffed. NO VIEWs (& not considered in the rating). Housekeeping every 3 days. FULLY equipped kitchen (incl. Rice Cooker & Dishwasher)

We had a great 5 days in the sun here at King's Land by Hilton. The condo was clean, spacious and attractive. The pool was really nice. The shopping was ok. Expect to pay hugely for groceries unless you go back to town and hit Costco. If you don't golf, there isn't much to do on this side of the island. But we drove a bit and had a good time. There is a kiosk for snorkeling gear and motorcycle rental. Nearby restaurants were expensive and mediocre.

Absolutely amazing! We have a 2 bedroom suite and it is immaculate! So beautifully decorated and the accommodations are amazing! Full kitchen with a dishwasher, microwave, oven, fridge/freezer, all the dishes and cookware you could possibly need! There's even a washer and dryer and complimentary laundry detergent! Maid service is top notch as well and the staff is soooo friendly! Thursday night the hotel had a hula show that was amazing as well! The pool and outside area is phenomenal! My kids as well as us, have thoroughly loved the slides and waterfalls and hot tubs as well as lounging in the sunning areas. We also have access to the big Hilton which has an amazing lagoon where you can swim with sea turtles and Dolphins! I highly highly highly recommend The Kings Land Hilton Grand Vacations Club… we will most Definitely be coming back here again! Thank you for making our vacation the best it could possibly be! The room was incredible! But the shower head was really old and had very little water pressure. This room was not cheap, I would expect the shower to be way better. There were only 2 remotes for all 3 TV's, and I called to get a 3rd one. When we got back there was a note saying someone had fixed the issue. We still only had 2 remotes. The pool and hot tub were great! Overall, I really liked it here, but big fail with the shower.

Very relaxing. The hotel amenities we're great and the staff was nice and accommodating. I like that the full kitchen gives you the option of making your own meals.

This is an aging timeshare complex that is being maintained to a basic level. The shared barbecues were not working properly. All the room amenities were functioning. The pools were not spectacular, but were cleaned adequately. The food offerings at the Pub were very basic, and the Pub closed at 7pm each day. Access to the Hilton Waikoloa Village parking was appreciated. We really did not find muck to do at the Village — other than riding the train and boat. The Dolphin Pools are aging (as a facility and concept), and may no longer fit with today's expectations.

Great stay at a great resort. North of the airport in a self contained resort near Mauna Lani. Hilton provides access to all of its resorts at this location. It’s a time share but rentals are available. Friendly staff and good service. Say hello to Lexi at the bell station. Thanks for taking care of us.

Spent several weekends, at the Kings with our grand daughter and had a great time. The pool area is great for kids as well for adults. The accommodations was very good especially with the use of the kitchen. The area has good restaurants as well as great golfing for those that love the sport. A excellent stay vacation for residents.

The pool is very kid friendly. Lots of water slides, not crowded. Rooms are nice with a full kitchen. Big island can get VOG, and there's been a number of Voggie days. Don't waste your club points coming here. You can book this site on the Hilton website for a great rate.

Beautiful location, but far from all the main attractions. Service is top notch. The grounds is very well manicured and taken care of.

Very nice resort. Condo style rooms. Best hilton property in Waikoloa because its more spacious and peaceful than any of the others with all of the same amenities and access to the rest of the properties.

Beautiful suites and fabulous grounds/pool area! A great place for a romantic getaway or a family vacation. Suites have a full kitchen, washer/dryer, and plenty of space!

If you are a golfer or just like to hang at the pool, then this place is OK. Reasonably priced food and great Happy Hour prices. You are not near the beach and have to drive everywhere. We like to explore and see what the locals do, so we will stay at another place next time.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment here. The property has pools on site as well as access to the main Waikoloa Village pools. The grounds are gorgeous and immaculately kept. The staff were incredibly friendly, responsive, and hard working but despite their efforts we weren't as comfortable as you would think one would be with all the effort put forth. We had ants on our kitchen counter (even after they sprayed), our air conditioning had a hard time keeping up with the outside temps (even though they promptly tuned the machine), and the floors didn't seem to be as "sound-proof" as they should have been. We were constantly hearing neighbors upstairs (we were on the second floor) and my sister (staying in another apartment) even had another guest yell at her for being too loud with regular use. The beds weren't as comfortable as most beds we've slept in at other hilton grand vacation clubs, the decor felt a little outdated, and some of the fixtures were beginning to show signs of wear and tear (missing/broken shower pieces and parts not as tight/shiny as they should be) but overall it was a good experience. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who isn't super picky.

The rooms are gorgeous. The amenities are awesome. Every member of the staff we met exemplified the aloha spirit. I wish there was a rating higher than 5 stars! I cannot wait to take another trip here!

This is a great place to stay. It's very welcoming and nice looking. The rooms are nice. In some of the rooms, there are two bedrooms and two bathrooms. In other rooms, there is one bathroom and one bedroom. The kitchen is nice and has plenty of storage and there are washing machines. The bathrooms are also clean and have a shower and a bathtub. Outside, it's very fresh and there is a saltwater pool with waterfalls and a small water slide. Good place to hang out when you have nothing else to do. This is a great place to stay and I suggest it.

Activities and fun all with endless smiles of a most friendly staff. The room has all the amenities one needs to make a getaway bringing only food and clothing. They also have food service so maybe just clothing… or not even that depending your style.

The rooms are amazing, very spacious and worth the cost. Pleasant view with facilities that exceed expectations. Activities and complimentary events are a blast and make your schedule even more amazing.

Your home away from home. My all time favorite place to stay on Hawaii. The service and amenities are first class! To say I love it here, is an understatement! Can't wait to go back again!

I had a great fun there with my family. Very nice room. Hawaiian employees are very kind. We were treated as a family and that's having Aloha spirit. I recommend buying plastic drinking glasses because with each re fil you get cheaper and for the whole year. Aloha Friends!

One of the new properties of HGVC on the island of Hawaii. That can be said, everything is first class. The service is very good. Although not located in good place in a short time will be finished the road to the main life that is going to take about 10 minutes of the trip to get there.

Amazing pools… shuttle service inside the whole hilton waikoloa resort is very good and the drivers are always ready to help… a bit too far from the beach and all the action so youll need a car… if your a hiltonhonnor member (gold for me) dont expect any special treatment, I was there for 14 nights (reserved 4 months in advance) and requested a room on a high floor and close to the main pool. I got the ground floor and the farthest building from the main area u can have… called management twice and left a message, never received a call back (witch is in my opinion unaceptable hiltonhonnor or not) … its an ok condo style stay but I wont be back…

Great resort, beautiful pool and views. Our room was well furnished complete with a full kitchen and big-screen TV, and the bathrooms are spacious and clean. Impressive pool and clubhouse area. The only complaint I have is that room service was a little slow, but we had a great experience overall.

Everyone in our party got the stomach flu! The cleaning service was HORRIBLE and I'm sure we got the flu from another room after cleaning. Things were not clean EVER and they just spread germs around. Horrible service as well we waited 3 hours for extra towels. And multiple times we had to ask for more soap and shampoo. I will never return.

We love this place. Spacious accommodations and such a beautiful resort. Shuttle service to the busier village and shops. We always say we want to stay here longer and have split our time between Oahu and here but next time we'll be spending the entire 10 days here. So much to do.

The pools are marvelous, the drinks are tasty. The food was just okay and our room had a number of issues. It smelled like old fish, the dryer didn't work and we had to sweep when we arrived.

Its kind of far. But its nice to get away from the busy stress. Its relaxing and calm. It has live music playing at the pools bar, a small but efficient gym with free earphones ao it give you no reason to not get in a short run. Game room has a pool table, ping pong table ect. Staff is friendly and the rooms are completely amazing. Rooms have full kitchen, multipul bathrooms, and extremely comfy beds.

Heaven in paradise! I could stay in the room, without ever stepping outside! Facilities are amazing — the pools, poolside bar… stay at sunset and take pictures! You won't regret it!

We stay here a lot. I love the Big Island — this place is a great landing pad for a family. I like the walk-up style rooms. It's about the location for the most part. The resort is nice and the amenities are good. Some things have fallen off here over the years but all in all we dig it.

1 bedroom suites all face parking lots. We switched to 2BR (and paid extra) after finding out.

The resort is very nice, but there isn't a lot going on at this property. Fortunately you can go to the other properties as well. Also the bar closes at 6

Really nice, clean and well appointed suites felt like home away from home. Convenient shopping for the necessary items. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

We reserved a third-floor two-bedroom suite. When we arrived, we were informed that these suites were only available on the ground floor. We spent almost two hours discussing this 'bait-and-switch' at check-in, and eventually were granted a room on the second floor. We now have heavy footsteps above us, and a view of construction equipment. We are Diamond-level Hilton Honors guests, and we are being treated extremely poorly. This property is second-rate, the service is terrible, and the management is untrustworthy. Stay elsewhere unless you're a glutton for punishment.

No room service, no bar in the morning or at night. Bar is only open from 11am-6pm, so after breakfast and before dinner. My dad asked if/when the bar and resort would be fully operational, because that was the excuse given for the lack of services, the bartender said 4-5 years. To watch movies you rent them outside of your room from a little thing that's similar to Redbox, which is fine. BUT, you have to play the movies on an old Playstation that doesn't work very well. My father is an electrical contractor who specializes in home theaters and we still had to have someone come and fix it for us. Far away from the main Hilton, so not many restaurants or anything within walking distance. Luckily, we had a full kitchen so we could go to the store and buy food or reheat leftovers. Service was AWFUL. The friendliest person BY FAR was the woman who served breakfast and the zumba instructor. Bartenders were unfriendly. The concierge, a blonde middle-aged woman, had no idea what she was doing. We requested a reservation for zip-line, she tried to steer us away as we would have to drive "to the other side of the island, " except when I looked it up on my own there were definitely options. I'm assuming maybe she didn't get any kick-backs from the company. It was about a 30 minute drive, not bad at all. Then, my dad called concierge to get a golf reservation.

The rooms here are amazing. We used the kitchen extensively. Shower is huge but they could use updated shower heads. Breakfast is expensive, $16 per adult for buffet and as a Hilton Diamond member it's not free. But it was good, and the bistro area sits outside next to the pool. The pools are great, a few different slides, a sandy kid's beach area, waterfalls, it's beautiful. You're only a skip away from the Hilton hotels resort where they have dolphins and a cool lagoon. We went to the luau there. And there's lots of activities close by.

All the positive reviews I checked ahead of vacation are confirmed; an excellent stay. From a gracious check-in (with Aimen) to the service at Bistro Lounge (Donna). As hotel guests we received great maid service daily and not once did staff "hit on me" about considering a time share. Two-bedroom suite in building 22 was nearly perfect for our family of four; great master bath, good kitchen and dining area, a bit snug when all of us watching the tube in living area but minor drawback. Pool and activity area was very nice with 3-water slides, multiple "hot tubs", numerous waterfalls, hammocks, little kids beach, adult-only pool. Only miss by Kings' Land is Bistro closes at 6pm; opportunity there I think for them unless early close is part of deal for time share folks. Having free access to sister property at Hilton Waikoloa Village was a great plus, but not needed.

Quite pricey, but is one heck of a resort. Some highlights: -Not too far from the airport and very close to Kona, Waimea, and Kawaihae, at least by car. -Close to tons of beach state parks, and has direct access to one: Anaeho'omalu Bay Beach -Spacious Pools with water slides, large waterfalls, volleyball courts, basketball hoops and mist generators. -Adult pools, also spacious and with waterfalls, as well as long chairs with cushions partly submerged in the water. -A large bay like area, where you can snorkle, canoe, and waterpaddle. -Suites which you can rent if you've checked out of the room after your stay but wish to still swim (suites have two rooms; one with a bathroom, sink and toilet, while the other has a television and towels). -King's Grille by the gold course. Quesadillas were delicious. -Queen's Market Place. Shopping isn't my thing and the selections in the food court aren't too great, but the open air concept is great and there might be something to appease more indulgent shoppers. -The washrooms by the pools offer quite the privacy, and are semi open-air. You have to see them to know what I mean. -I believe there might be boat rides and train rides through the premises. Not sure, but I did see train tracks and canals with a boat in it. -Walking trails beside every road, allowing you to jog when you'd like. There is lots of coverage by trees and structures so you're never really overheated.

Huge suite. Kitchen was so-so but master bathroom was fabulous. A balcony view overlooking the golf course. Really nice pools that our young daughter loved.

Awesome time with family. Super pool. My daughter loved it. Couldn't get her out.

Clean, open, 5 pools are great, adult and kid pools, sports pool, movies at night, live entertainment, rooms fantastic, not crowded.
