I'm Mike not Pat, but I can't say enough about my stay here. I could not have enjoyed the experience more. The people at the B&B are friendly, professional and the island is clear and beautiful. There is no problem with the volcano's fissure # 8 at the B & B. The skies were blue and sunny, the room was extremely comfortable and I could not have asked for more. Erica, the lovely lady who serves breakfast was the nicest person I have ever met. Stay there you will love it, I can't wait to go back. In spite of what the media says, it's just a small portion of the island involved with the lava and smoke from the volcano. Pray for the people who have lost their homes and tourist business. Go, stay there, you will love it. Mike Christopher.

A very nice place to stay. The weather is pleasant due to the higher elevation. The B&B is spacious and the small staff are not obtrusive in any way. Their breakfast is also very good. If you need a place to stay while in the volcano area, give them a try.

This place is simply horrible. DO NOT GO! Called the hotel many days before checking in to inquire about some conditions at the hotel, but got extremely unpleasant and impatient reply from the owner. Unbelievably, he HANGED UP the phone!

My family of four stayed here while visiting Volcano National Park. The room was large and comfortable. We had our own entrance and bathroom. The house is in a beautiful spot and you could sit on the porch all day and relax if you had time. Breakfast was delicious. We would definitely recommend this spot!

Amazing breakfast and nice rooms with soft bed's. They had a very helpful basket by the door filled with flashlights, sunblock and everything else to use during your stay. Came in very helpful while midnight volcano touring. Enjoyed the clean, beautiful yard filled with flowers.

The room we stayed in was very nice, clean and quiet and the breakfast was great as well. I wish the blinds and curtains on the windows provided a little more privacy because it was relatively easy for someone outside or entering one of the other rooms to see where you sleep. Its something that hanging a bedsheet could fix. Overall a great stay!

We were very pleased with our visit here. Clean, charming bed and breakfast that felt very private and personal. The breakfast was great, as well as the time spent on the large porch facing the garden. Conveniently located next to the volcano National Park made it easy to visit the park after dark and see the glow of the lava.

The family had agreat time here and it was a cozy (not cozy like small) place to stay.

We stayed for two nights and it was a very strange and uncomfortable stay. The electric gate on the driveway doesn't function properly so you will have fun just coming and going. This actually was a source of great laughter as we tied in vein to leave this sad, over priced, thift-shop decorated house. We stayed in the "suite" and the "full bathroom" was in fact a half bath with a bar sink in the room. Sadly, the stained mat around the toilet smelled of urine. Trim is missing in the bathroom wall but no matter — just paint over the raw drywall. My white bath towel was stained with black dots and the carpet was dirty. It appears the home owner did some of their own plumbing on this house as this would never pass code. Most of the outlets didn't work, the house itself looked like it was decorated with items found at a yard sale. My wife's favorite item was the 3 foot tall easter bunny stuffed animal shrine with the fake poinsettias on each side of the mantel — in April. There is no rhyme or reason to any of the decor. It is like staying in a house filled with yard sale items. The garage is full of junk. Breakfast food was fine other than the inn keeper gives you a champagne flute glass of orange juice so you don't drink too much I suppose. Very weird indeed. Breakfast itself was most uncomfortable as the inn keeper never introduced himself and is a very somber fellow. Even the dogs are sad souls. My wife agrees with my assessment.
