We recently stayed in the Chalet Kilauea. Both rooms were beautiful and unique. The showers were huge and the rooms were very clean. The rain forest surroundings are peaceful and serene. The location is close to Volcano Village and Volcanoes National Park. We would definitely recommend Chalet Kilauea and would love the opportunity to stay there again.

The Kilauea hospitality group is more like a network of hostels, which is great. We got a lot of good tips from other guests. The accommodations themselves are quaint and lovely and the cleaning service is effective. We've had no problems here so far. Would highly recommend.

We booked a condo at Kilauea Kona through a Hawiian Air package deal. The unit and grounds were clean, and we loved the location, ocean view and pool area. There were a couple of repairs needed on the unit's equipment, so giving it 4 stars, but would definately stay there again.

We stayed at Volcano Hale. Considering the location, it was great value for the price. Some negatives included a cockroach and a hard bed. We would stay again however — the house was quaint and the location is only 5 minutes from HVNP.

Asked at the last minute a late arrival and I was waited! Quiet and nice setting.

This place is fun quirky and the only place to stay in volcanoes. The only thing we missed was breakfast. Used to be provided when we came 3 years ago.

Stayed at the Chalet Kilauea Hotel, one of three properties for Kilauea Hospitality Group (KHG). It's slightly confusing as you check in for all three of them at the same place and then get keys for (and directions to, if necessary) your specific room. It wasn't an issue for us as the office is located at the Chalet, which is where we stayed. The Chalet is one of the coolest places I've ever stayed. A really cozy loft that is just a cool living space. Had a small patio/porch out the back that really feels like you're right in a rainforest. We had no issues really at all, and although it is a little expensive we found this place worth it for the novelty. They do have two other properties that are more affordable and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend booking with KHG as we had no issues.

Good Hotel with special Rooms.

Room and bathroom was very outdated and service was lacking at the front desk. Website pictures are heavily edited and doesn't represent the actual rooms. Double showers and jacuzzi tubs as advertised were not available in our room and subject to luck and availability on check in.

“Quaint hideaway” Rainforest … low cloud drizzle but I loved it Pele really puts on a show & cosy quaint room in Volcanon Hale. Lovely to return too… 312 probably the best room in Volcano. Within walking distance to park☺

Very romantic place. Great rooms in the middle of "the jungle". Very close to the active volcano. Close to black sand beach and green sand beach. Don't forget to bring warm clothes!

The hotel is really beautiful. There's a lovely garden with water features and the rooms are great with an outside dining area. You're ten minutes' bus ride from the Volcano National Park and you can even walk up there (despite what the hotel might tell you! ). The whole area is pretty remote, so don't expect a local Walmart! Instead, you've got nature all around you and stunning views. The Volcano park itself is amazing.

The room is small but comfortable. Nice outdoor kitchenette. Staff is friendly and helpful. They are doing many upgrades. We'll worth the money. Will stay again.

We stayed at Volcano Hale. Okay for this price range (everything in Hawaii, and especially Volcanoes, is expensive), but could have been better. The rooms are really really small. Shared (but very clean and nice) bathrooms. What is more, the shared premises for hanging out are all but non-existent, making you feel rather claustrophobic. Btw, don't buy the breakfast, it's not worth even the $6 it costs. The coffee ("house blend, " with some chocklote-y flavor) is horrible, and there is not much to eat.
