Portland was given the worst air quality in the nation and since our AC unit was broken, the front desk simply told us “Well, we’re sold out but you can open the window. ” We opted to sleep hot. We we’re visiting for our anniversary, a birthday and the birth of our first son. When we asked for a recommendation for a romantic dinner, the 2 front desk employees simply responded with “I have no idea” and kept talking amongst themselves doing whatever it was they were doing. The room was clean, but the bed was hard. I also am disappointed that upon check in it wasn’t made clear what the COVID policies were. I understand the need for safety, but was not told that no garbage would be removed from the room and no fresh linens would be offered. We simply got bags of fresh towels if we asked at the front desk. The expectations were not clearly stated beforehand and felt the experience would have been much smoother had we been told about these changes up front. I didn’t expect room service while in the room, but did think that if we’d left the room for several hours we’d return at least to fresh towels/linens and the garbage taken out if we asked. I’m not one to write poor reviews, but definitely feel that with some better service my experience would have been great. I should add that the front desk employee did offer free buffets the following morning, but as new parents the extra sleep before the long drive home was worth more than the food.

So on the 8th I called into the radisson for help because I know pucking rooms online is never what it seems and I needed to find a specific type of room.
The girl I talked to was very helpful and assured me they had a whirlpool king suite available for me and will reserve it and I did, got my email confirmation and didn't think about it again. Fast forward to Saturday check in where concierge runs my card and come to find out they don't have me in a whirlpool room which is what I needed for my physical therapy. And the only reason I booked the room. He says the whole wing with the tubs is not accessible. Okay well why was I promised the room if it wasn't available, and why didn't I get any type of notification that my room was being changed to a regular suite? I could of not had to scramble last minute to find a place with what I needed. Instead I spent 3 more hours sitting in a parking lot looking for what I needed. Luckily found a place that assured me they had one available for that night. I do not reccomend radisson and I am a loyalty member with them. They knowingly screwed me over and messed up my night as well as wasted my time. There is no excuse for making a reservation for me that you couldn't uphold!

I love this hotel! This is my second time staying here. It’s very affordable and close to the airport. It’s also close to several eating spots and Cascade Station. I love the great amenities this hotel provides. There is free parking and a restaurant with a good happy hour downstairs. You can’t go wrong with that!

Close to the airport, helpful desk personnel, and the shuttle service is nice!

We booked a room in this location only b/c we wanted shuttle service to the airport. We had a 7:20am flight and when we called to arrange for the shuttle we were told we could take a 5:10 or 5:55am shuttle only, no other options. We almost took a Lyft but ended up sucking it up and taking the 5:10 shuttle as it was only 30 mins earlier than we would have liked, but it stunk to have no options, especially with little kids in tow. The bed was comfy, but there was a constant clanging noise between the 3rd and 4th floor all night that kept us up and you could tell the room used to be a smoking room back in the day as it has that stale smell. I won't be staying there again. The staff were nice though, we didn't try the restaurant.

Loved the hotel. The rooms were huge and the jetted tub was amazing. Check in was faster than any other hotel we've ever been to. The restaurant was delicious and had amazing staff as well. We will be staying here anytime we fly out of Portland from here out.

Great hotel experience! Very clean rooms. Very nice staff. They allowed for early check in. And the restaurant/bar was nothing to scoff at. Good views of the pond with plenty of ducks, herons, and geese. I recommend!

Great place, choice of sleep mattress or pillow top beds. Convenient shuttle to airport. Restaurant on site had amazing burgers and pasta. Clean and comfy!

Stayed overnight. Hotel didn't have our original room ready so they upgraded us for free to a bigger room. The room was spacious and clean, with a bathroom, bedroom area, and a living room area. There were 2 queens, both were sleepnumber beds. The left bed had problems — the plug kept falling out of the socket and the remote to control the pressure had been so abused you had to use two fingers to mash the buttons for inflating and deflating. The right bed had no problems. Both were fully adjustable however and provided a comfortable sleep. The pillows were soft but supportive, they provide 2 per person and a body pillow per bed. There was a sofa sleeper couch as well but we didn't use it. The room also has a work area and desk, a lounge chair, mini fridge, and closet area. They did provide eat plugs and water bottles free in room should you need it. It's more of a business hotel than a family hotel so there was a fitness room but no pool or hot tub. The breakfast buffet we got had waffles, scrambled eggs, cereal, oatmeal, sausages, pastries, juices, coffee, and fruit options. Overall, definitely a great place to stay.

The room was very spacious and comfortable. The interior was nice and not dated at all! For being so close to the airport it was pretty secluded and quiet. If you enjoy golfing there is a course right behind the hotel itself.

Hotel staff were helpful & friendly. Check-in was quick & painless. Room was clean & nice. We loved that we could coose our bed type. We tried the sleep number bed & loved it. We had an early flight & the shuttle got us there in plenty of time to spare. Shuttle driver also professional & courteous. An overall great overnight experience.

The stay and staff were great! Definitely recommend! Just an FYI, there’s no pool, but Holiday Inn close by was very friendly to let us use there pool!

I was visiting with a friend staying there or I might have given five stars. The room is nice with bed plus couch and upholstered chair and ottoman with room to move around. I've had dinner there twice now and very good both times. My friend flies and out of the area quarterly and loves staying there with easy access to the airport.

Always a friendly place to, stay when I come into Portland. Very quiet place tucked away off main roads. Great little bar and resturant. The breakfast bar, while not free is worth a trip in for a quick breakfast. Lots of small eats during happy hour.

Such comfy beds and efficient, hospitable front desk. Safe, secure, clean, easier to find once you've been there. Food is great. Parking lot clean and monitored. Above all, very welcoming — I feel lvalued.

Very nice, very professional and I would definitely stay there again. The food was wonderful and the service in the restaurant was equally as nice as the hotel itself. I look forward to the next time I can visit this establishment.

I was there for a training seminar for my work. It was very clean. They had coffee and breakfast bars in the lobby and we're very friendly. Also a nice waterfall out side the front doors.

The room was clean and spacious and the restaurant inside the hotel was just as good. The beds were very comfortable and everything went nice and smooth with check in and check out. Couldn't ask for more!

This is a nice place to sleep after a long day of work. The staff are friendly & professional and the rooms are clean. My only recommendation is to rinse out the AC/Heater filter from time to time. I'll be back.

Very comfortable beds and large rooms. Has a nice modern home feel to it. Only reason I listed 4 stars is due to not being provided the details for the free Wi-Fi upon check in but the staff informed me it was just a mistake on their part that they didn't give it to me during check-in Sunday night. Besides that, no issues and generous amenities. I would stay here again.

Rooms were comfy and spacious. Apparently they've renovated the bathrooms, so everything feels new. Large bed, couch, desk, nice TV, huge mirror over the sink and a nice clean bathroom. I enjoyed my brief stay there and also appreciated the breakfast buffet. The airport shuttle was lacking in service but perhaps it was just out of whack that day.

Great representative of the brand and value for the stay. On site fitness room is more robust than most facilities with treadmills and a rack of dumbbells with space for core workouts. The on site bar and restaurant serves a broad menu of choices with a great selection of local draught beer and wines. The property is remote. There is little access for foot traffic so plan to drive or ride if you're interested in sightseeing.

Rooms were nice, staff were nice but I will not stay here again even if it’s paid for. In my line of work, fire safety is everything. I’ve had a friend killed in a hotel fire and I myself have recovered bodies from a motel fire. Some of the largest losses of life in fires occurred in hotels. I take it seriously. So, imagine my dismay when I had to go to hotel staff twice to inform them that staff were risking the lives of guests by wedging open doors required to automatically close to prevent the spread of fire. Excuse: “we just passed a fire inspection. ” Congratulations, you didn’t rack up enough dings to be shut down. I am sure that Portland Fire inspectors would be just as appalled as I am. If you stay, be sure you know your fire escapes. The hotel is resting on its fire safety laurels.

Great price for a hotel that provided everything needed for a great stay. Really good happy hour dinner and drinks, bartender was tops.

This was a nice place. Only stayed one night for a plane layover. Very clean and the staff was super nice. Though close to the airport it's a bit from downtown ($20 Lyft).

Stayed a night in the King room with whirlpool and absolutely loved it. The room was large and clean, with wonderful toiletries set out. I will absolutely stay at this hotel again. Can't beat the price either!

Such a plesant place to stay before flying out! They offer great long term parking for cheap, and have an amazing lounge for guests catching a really early flight. Loved it!

Very nice hotel for the price. My pros and cons: Pros: Clean in the room and common areas. Comfortable beds. Clean bathrooms. A loveseat and arm chair next to the window. I don't know if that's standard, but it was lovely. Very friendly staff, for the most part. Nice fitness room, though I would prefer to have a rowing machine and not just treadmills. Cookies at the front desk unless there are a lot of check-ins! Then they vanish. Good restaurant and room service. Cons: Since it's close to the airport, there is noise from take-offs that go late and start again at 6:00 a. M. They have white noise machines to loan at the front desk and also provide ear plugs, but neither will help a truly light sleeper. The restaurant has very little vegetarian fare. I ended up eating the same salad both nights, and the same oatmeal for breakfast. I had room service twice. The first time the bill was $25 so I gave the young man $30 cash, and he was pleased. As it turned out, a 20% tip was already included, so he made about $10 for carrying my plate upstairs! I only noticed because the next day a young woman brought my room service and tried to turn down the tip because "it's already included. " I gave it to her anyway, and mentioned the incident to the front desk. That's really sneaky, fella. I'm not sure if this is a pro or a con, but Lyft from the hotel to SE Portland is about $20 each way. I didn't want to take the time to take the MAX train, which goes to the airport (I think?

Very nice place… Well equipped, nice clean spacious room, friendly and helpful staff and a great restaurant. What else do you really need? Other than a minibar, maybe, but the bar in the restaurant is nice and well stocked. Overall a great place! Definitely recommend this hotel.

Was here circa spring 2012 & had a blast! I had a toddler w me & they were very accommodating & the free breakfast was actually good!

Service was excellent. The front desk manager lady was great. Even though we didn't get breakfast, they provided breakfast snacks including fruits, coffee, and granola bars. The gym was decent sized and clean. However, the water dispenser was a bit slow at dispensing water. Overall, would recommend and stay again.

I like the ambiance the room is clean and the bed quite comfortable I love it The food they offer is really good. My 2nd time staying in Radisson Hotel since I came Portland twice… From my hometown in Singapore all the way to Portland book a hotel in Radisson to make sure I have a comfy bed when I needed to rest… Thank you for the friendly staff as well keep it up.

Pretty stylish. Close to the airport; shuttle drivers are awesome. Staff is super nice. Breakfast buffet had good variety. Rooms were neat and clean. Beds super comfortable. Air conditioning units seemed… underpowered for myself liking, but did good enough.

I've stayed here twice now and I love it. It's set back in the woods, complete with a neat little pond located in rear. I would bet $ it's the quietest hotel near the airport. It's not the newest, highest end place, but it's very nice, clean and well staffed. Convenient restaurant, decent coffee, above average hotel gym with extra bonus points for pop a shot basketball.

We had a room on the 3rd floor facing the parking lot. Definitely don't get room 309. It's right next to the elevator. I was surprised to see the complimentary earplugs but I heard the train at night. The room had a sleep by number bed which seemed to be getting on in age. The controls didn't work very well. The room layout is an older one where the sink is located outside in the room separated from the shower and toilet. The outlet locations were very convenient for charging my devices. We had the breakfast buffet for $12 which included coffee or tea, orange juice, Greek yogurt, oatmeal, grits, waffles with syrup, whipped cream and berry compote, scrambled eggs, sausages, fruit salad, fresh fruit, toast and muffins. The wait staff was very friendly. Airport shuttle service picks up on island and you can schedule drop off at the front desk. It's a short ride to the hotel.

The staff is friendly & helpful, the food is amazing. Parking is monitered, shuttle is the perfect solution to getting to the airport in time. Have stayed a couple of times & willdo it again! Why didn't I know about this place years ago?

Great place! I love the sleep number beds in the room. Plus I have a great view of the lake from my room.

Stayed one night before flying home.
The hotel itself is three stars and no more.
But interesting place and good restaurant.
Usually, when you come to the restaurant, you know what to expect. But not in the case of this institution.
Ordered two servings-tuna and steak. Well, two beers of course.
Tuna is included in the room rate and quite normal, at least I liked it. Of course not enough to eat, more like a snack.
Steak was also very not bad, and everything to him adjoining too.
Frankly speaking, in appearance, I expected something much worse.

The room was great except that when we got there it was as if the room had only been partially cleaned. There was garbage in the trash, decorative pillows from the bed had been removed and there was a used wash cloth in the shower. They were quick to send housekeeping up to clean the room and it was quiet and comfortable. The room I stayed in had a sleep number bed so you could adjust it to your comfort level. Mine worked well, although my friends both had mattresses in which one side wasn't working which created a lump in the middle. It was also convenient to take the airport shuttle and leave our cars parked there while out of town.

Great hotel! Located in the NE part of Portland it is close to the airport and relatively easy to get to the Downtown core. Huge, well furnished rooms, an airport shuttle, a free coffee machine. The complimentary breakfast is a bit small (granola bars and fruit) but that wasn't too bad. The sounds of the planes weren't too intrusive either. I'd return here!

Descent experience: (Good) Staff is friendly and helpful, Room was spacious, Hot water flowed well, complimentary cookies were good at the front desk. (Bad) We walked into a room that was someone else (poor communication), in the new room the Shower water backed up for about 10 minutes before draining, the Bed (even though it was a king) felt hard and lumpy, We were told that our room has a lake view but our window showed shrubs and some grass (never saw this lake they speak of), and in the middle of watching TV I saw a small spider descend from the ceiling, and the price we paid did not match the room and experience expected.

Great hotel that was a bit out of the way. We stayed here for 2 nights and we were very pleased. The last day I had to work and needed the room, and they let me check out late which I greatly appreciated. Also they had a free washer and dryer. I would definitely stay here again when I go back to portland.

Very friendly staff who remember who their guests are, what they're in the area for, etc. Solid breakfast buffet that's a good value. Hallways, etc. Are dated, but the room itself was nicely decorated, comfortable, and had all the amenities. Bed, sofa, lounge chair, large desk, and nice touches like the vanity/sink area with a swivel mirror and a curved shower curtain rod. Great hotel stay!

Good hotel. Comfortable beds and nice room. The receptionist was extremely nice! The free breakfast was only nutrigrain bars and coffee.

This is more a review for the attached restaurant than the hotel I guess. Bartenders are terrible, every one that I dealt with at least, she actually called me out, in front of everybody at the bar, for not tipping as well as she felt she deserved. All servers during the day are terrible as well. The hotel is great and really try to take care of you though. I am not sure if the restaurant and the hotel are different entities but they definitely need to communicate more with each other.

Receptionist made a mistake with our room, which caused a minor inconvenience, but was helpful in rectifying the situation. The room sported Sleep Number beds, which are very comfortable and of course adjustable. It is very close to PDX, so they offer complimentary earplugs. That being said, I didn't really notice the sound of planes. Overall, it was clean and well-maintained.

Wonderful hotel by PDX. We checked in and got to choose from three types of beds available, we got the sleep number and loved it! Free long term parking too which was great for us. I love this hotel.

The entrance to the hotel was very lovely the staff of this location had kind and fast staff. My room was very nice updated new comfortable and attractive. The restaurant was nice but a little bit too much for my pockets at the time.

Really nice room. Everything was clean and the bed was comfortable. I stayed in the top siute and had a choice of bed; pillow top, firm, or sleep number. The room had all the standard features: sofa, fridge, cable TV, shampoo, etc.

From the reservation my husband made while deployed the start assured him that we would be taken care of. With slight confusion hours before checking in the staff surprisingly went above and beyond to fix their communication error. For me it was a surprise the view was amazing the complimentary dinner and breakfast as well as snack. Sterlingjoy (hope I spelled it right) she was exceptional. Would recommend this hotel to everyone!

The location is great and has little lake where you can sit at the lounge and a bit to eat for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Stayed in the king with jucuzi tub room and everything was wonderful. Staff was friendly and helpful.

The staff gave us cookies and were very nice. Comfy beds, and they even had earplugs so I didn't have to listen to my friend's chainsaw snore.

Excellent staff here and comfortable rooms. Pricing is better than other options closer to downtown. We had a 3rd person ending up staying with us so I requested a roll away bed before arriving. The front desk accommodated by moving us into a room with a pull out bed, making it much more comfortable for the 3rd person. Restaurant and bar downstairs was good and they do offer room service until 11, although I didn't get a chance to try it. Breakfast had good selection and had the option of $11.50 for all you can eat buffet, which was pretty good quality. Staff were always excellent, from front desk, to waitress, bartender and even cleaning staff. Very quality experience and I will be returning in the future.

And great place to stay and a great place to save money for parking. Be careful though, the rate you pay for may not include parking. The winter special rate does not include parking but that is not clear on the website.

Service was excellent but the bed was a bit hard, and lacking in sheets and blankets. They were either too thin or too thick. Also the hotel is right next to a pond filled with noisy geese who are noisy at all hours of the night.

This is a first rate place. Needed to print an emergency item. They could do it. Next needed to fax several things. They did it. All free. Need some laundry soap, they were out but an hour later they had it and it was great. $1.

Lakeside Cafe: Great food but service was sooooo slow. Do NOT go here if you are in a hurry, extremely slow. But if you don't mind the wait, good stuff.

The best hotel I have ever been. It could compete and win with some 5 stars. The place was several miles away from the airport and downtown, but they provide shuttle service to and from the hotel every 15 minutes or less. The hotel building was not new but clean and organized with polite staff. They also provide healthy breakfast (grab and run! ) every morning in addition to various type of coffee beverages around the clock. And last not least the lake and the restaurant on the back of the building with wild blackberries alongside the lake made it a perfect place to relax and to remember the good memories.

Wonderful place. Location is close to downtown, the airport, and cascade. We had a room with a sleep number bed. Large for 2 people, and spacious. We had a bit of a mix up with the restaurant that was quickly sorted out by management, and that level commitment is truly appreciated. Side note, the macaroni and cheese is wonderful. They have a wonderful automatic espresso machine in the lobby. The sugar swill it spits out is nice, If you like it. They also have cookies in the lobby. That's good too. Wonderful place and highly recommended. Thank you to the management for sorting out our miscommunication. It went a long way.

Here's what I like about the Portland Radisson: Consistently friendly staff (even the graveyard shift folks are great), free shuttle drop-off and pick-up from the airport, quick and efficient check in, and free parking for 15 days. I've eaten breakfast at the restaurant and they have a decent buffet. I like that you can do a "reverse park and fly" and stay the night you return from your trip. If you call the Portland location directly (not the national number) they are often willing to negotiate on price. Note: Be sure to ask for a room with a Sleep Number bed — — these rooms are larger and more comfortable. On my last stay, I got stuck in a simpler room next to the ice machine. When I asked about it in the morning, the clerk took off $25 the room and encouraged me to ask for an upgrade next time. Who knew it was as easy as asking! I've had a consistently positive experience (and I'm picky). I plan to keep staying and parking here.

It's a great hotel for the price and the attention it's excellent.

We did the park-and-fly and then stayed one night when we came back at this hotel. Great hotel, clean, quite, and great service. The shuttle service was fantastic, we only waited at the airport less then 10 minutes for our ride. We looked at alot of the other hotels, and this one looked like it was worth trying. The bonus was the sleep number bed, those beds are pretty slick.

My stay here this last weekend was great. I had booked it through Priceline. I was at a wedding dinner in Hood River and got in for a late check-in. In previous hotels this usually amounted to a grumpy desk attendant, but the man working up front was very friendly, and I was on my way to the room within 2 minutes. The room was perfect. I could not hear any of the neighboring rooms, and I slept great on the Sleep Number bed. I will return here on any future trips to Portland.
