Tiny rooms, nothing special. The bed was supposed to be a queen (that is what I have at home) and although I did not have my tape measure with me I'm rather certain it was only a full. I have literally had a nicer room in a Red Roof Inn. The TV was nice, it synced with your phone and had enough channels to keep you occupied. The food from room service was okay, the staff was the best part. I wish that they could make up for the missed expectations at this hotel but it was just not what I expect from any hotel carrying the Hilton name.

This specific location not only has some great views, but they also have a large amount space for their rooms. Their rooms are about a 9.5 out of 10 for me. Being a former hotel Room Service Director, I was actually impressed with their service and attentive staff. The front desk knew all the answers to my questions. Although they didn't have much options for food around them, they did try to accommodate. I am definitely coming back here.

If I could give this hotel a — 1 Star I would. This hotel was selected by the event planners of a conference I attended last week. Here is a play on my stay, I checked in lobby was nice and the staff was nice. I get to my room no fridge, at 11 am I call the front desk and request a fridge I was told it would be delivered shortly. On the way out of the hotel my co-worker informed the front desk he would like a fridge when his room was ready; we return to the hotel around 3pm (4 hours from my initial call) return to my room no fridge. I call the front desk yet again and was told it would be delivered soon; an hour and a half pass, no fridge. I call front desk again and speak with a manager, fridge finally arrives after 20 min. That night as I am trying to relax I look up and there are cob webs in multiple areas of the room even on the ceiling next to the bed. The final issue of the room I stayed in was the tile in the shower, it looked as though it had not been cleaned an mildew had formed between the tiles. My room and bathroom needed a thorough cleaning… Stay in Room 812 at your own risk.

SUPER convenient because it's directly off of train line. We took quick train from airport to get there. It's about 15 minute walk to cross the river into downtown. There is a decent bar and restaurant there. Bartenders were very friendly. Nice little pool and lounge area and a park across from hotel also. Enjoyed our stay! They don't offer affordable breakfast options though, only $15 buffet. But there is a little coffee bar that may serve cold case sandwiches.

The rooms have fantastic sound proofing. We heard a baby crying loudly in the hallway and right when we walked in the room, the sound just disappeared. The service is fantastic. I got food poisoning in the city, and they sent up a care package with free soup and ginger beers. The parking is in a large garage, so always easy to find a spot. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The stay started off with a warm cookie and only got better from there. We had the nicest room I have ever stayed in, a beautiful mountain view overlooking the hotel's pull. Walking distance from everything we needed, only took one car ride the whole trip. Amazing place to stay, will stay here every time from now on.

I was here for a work conference. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The glass elevators are beautiful. The banquet catering is not great. FYI you can have as many welcome cookies as you want! I passed by the front desk for my evening cookie every night I was there. The staff I interacted with were all friendly and welcoming.

Really nice open bar, buffet style lunch space. Decent breakfast, although the staff refused to use clean uncontaminated pans and utensils to make a veggie omelet. The head of the food division, did take care of us, after complaining. And covered our breakfast made to order at the bar restaurant. Spacious center of the hotel, has very lofty ceilings and a general enjoyable ambiance. Awesome deserts, and a reasonable priced concession stand, beside the front desk… To acquire snacks and cold brewed coffee.

We went for a special dinner. If you want vegetarian food, skip this place. Our dinner was barely cooked hard vegetables on a plate of salad! Apparently they don't know that pasta, rice or many other items could make a pleasant dinner.

This DoubleTree is a pleasant place to stay. I was only here for one night but there were no glaring issue I discovered within that time. The staff at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. Especially a gentleman, however, I can't seem to recall his name. The room itself was pleasing. It being a large one than normal up on the 8th floor. There was no refrigerator or microwave, but I didn't needed that anyway. The beds being one of the more important features were wonderfully comfortable and the pillows being as such. Everything in the room was clean and presented well. For parking this hotel offers a multiple floor parking garage with entrances to the hotel on each floor. With plenty of food offers around the hotel I didn't eat in the restaurant but it did look like a quality place to dine. Overall this DoubleTree is a reasonable and pleasing hotel to stay. If I'm in the area again I will definitely be making a return.

Overall, not a bad hotel! The location within walking distance from a movie theater, the Lloyd Center, the park, and a light rail stop make this an ideal location for out-of-towners such as myself. We had all of Portland within reach with a few commercial creature comforts bundled in too! Five Stars.

Across from a park and MAX light rail stop, this Lloyd District hotel is a 2-minute drive from Interstate 84 and 4 blocks from Oregon Convention Center. Flat-screen TVs and free Wi-Fi are offered in each room, which also feature custom-designed beds. Some rooms have balconies and downtown or mountain views. Suites have living areas, wet bars and patios or balconies, plus some have whirlpool tubs. There are 2 on-site restaurants. There's also an outdoor pool and a fitness center. Other amenities include 45, 000 sq ft of meeting/event space and a business center.

Clean and tidy. Guest services were nice. Housekeeping could use some help with customer service. They kept slamming the door with the vacuum cleaner. The room service is crazy prices for mediocre food. Except for the caramel apple pie. That has to be one of the best things to ever be eaten.

Amazing staff and service. I have stayed at over 75 Hilton locations, and this was hands down best in class service. The staff was friendly, genuine, and caring, which trumps any amenity or feature. I now have even more reason to visit Portland and know exactly where to book. Thank you for a great visit!

Hands down the best customer experience I’ve ever had at a guest accommodation. Nothing was too much for the entire team who are sincere in their desire to ensure you have a wonderful stay. Decor a touch dated now but that didn’t matter as was made to feel so welcome I didn’t want to leave!

This hotel was in a great location, it was a short and easy ride on the MAX train from the airport, and the hotel was right next to where I had to go. The customer service was great, we were going to buy toothpaste but they gave us some for free. Also they were giving everyone free cookies. The room was pretty, with a nice view of the neighboring park. The toilet made a little annoying noise, but it wasn't a problem with the bathroom door shut.

Great price for Portland, the staff is working extra hard for you. The food at the Gathering Place was superb. Just delicious served by an excellent wait staff. We're coming back.

A nice dog friendly hotel near the Max line for easy access to downtown. The warm cookies are a nice addition. The pillows were lacking and the window wouldn't open in the room.

Our family had a great time in Portland over the Presidents Day weekend. The Double Tree is located within a short walk to their mass transit system. This makes it so easy to get around. We normally don't eat at the hotel restaurant but for convenience we did so twice. The food was very good and not over priced. The staff was very friendly and offered information that enhanced our trip. I also appreciated the beds. Sometimes I don't sleep well in hotels but this was nice and quiet. I would definitely book this hotel again.

Very friendly people in the lobby, the beds are quite comfortable, super shopping mall close by… And as in all the Doubletree delicious cookies!

I travel a bit for work, so I see a number of hotels per year. I'm also an engineer who does inspections so I tend to be a bit critical of spaces. Pros: Location is close to several attractions and restaurants within walking distance. It has a bar and restaurant inside. The lobby is quite large and can hold a large group coming in. The check in staff were very friendly. The elevators are quick to come to your floor and are quiet. My king size bed room was large and the bedding was very comfortable. Lamps on the night stands have switches and outlets on their base. Furniture is tasteful and typical of this class of hotel. Cons: You have to pay for parking. Parking garage is covered at least but there is a gap between the garage and hotel do you will get wet going between. Three lobby is large but the check in desk is small so if a large number comes in it will take awhile to process everyone. The carpeting throughout is dated and a little worn. The rooms are large but the layout is inefficient. The bathroom has two doors because of a built in closet on the shared wall. This shared wall is across from the shower and is a bit narrow. Because of this there is no towel bar there and no convenient place to hang your towel while in the shower. The shower is small with a low (6'7) ceiling, but the shower head is actually high enough that I (6'1) didn't have to bend over to use.

Nice hotel clean rooms. The bed was rather small just a double not a queen or king. Also the bathroom did not have a fan. Location is good lots of good food and shopping in the area plus convention centers and the arena.

Beautiful hotel in the heart of the downtown area. Anything you could want within a 10 minute drive. If you don't feel like driving plenty of bars and food places to walk to. Stayed for two nights and it was everything we could have asked for. Staff was very quick to get us checked in with our cookies and the room was immaculate!

Very premium hotel. From the moment I checked in, the staff took extra care to make sure my needs we're met. Location was good, everything I decided to check out was 10-20 minutes away. This hotel also has a pretty nice view of downtown Portland which was my favorite thing about the hotel.

The location is great, right next to a light rail station as well as close to the Lloyd Center mall. The hotel is very clean with excellent breakfast options. The room was spacious.

I couldn't have asked for a better hotel to celebrate my birthday. The room was amazing — spacious, extremely clean, and the most comfortable mattresses and pillows EVER! Had a lovely dinner in the lobby restaurant where the food we were served was nothing short of incredible. The warm cookie received upon check-in was just the icing on top of everything else.

Decent Double Tree (old Red Lion), nice rooms and quiet! Sanitation was good, rooms were clean and well maintained. Checked in early, which sometimes can be a problem, but the front desk staff were able to get us in fast!

Our suite was down stairs best to the pool down a mildewed hall. Room was nice, but really not pleased with the location. When I mentioned this to the front desk clerk, she just told me that they had a lot of people staying there. No remedy​. Breakfast was good. Saw a room in the upper floor and it was fine.

Great breakfast with vegan options (soymilk or almond milk for coffee, fruit smoothies, Bob's mill oatmeal, fruits, etc). Room 1456 was really nice. With good view. Very clean. Comfortable beds. Front desk very helpful.

Clean. Efficient and friendly service. Convenient access to downtown and east side. Only 15 min from airport. If you don't have a car, it is right next to the station to get pretty much anywhere you want. The front desk was very helpful with the details.

Not bad. The lobby and restaurant is nice, room service food was good. But for some reason they have about a 1.5" gap under the entry door of the rooms, so any hallway noise comes right into your room. I put a towel in the gap to keep the room quiet at night.

Room very clean. All the staff were smiling. Had dinner at Gather, in the hotel. Food was cooked to perfection. Garth was our server. He was amazing. He kept our water glasses filled and made sure we had fun enjoyable end to our crazy day. We will stay here again. And the warm chocolate chip cookies are a nice touch.

We stayed here for a convention my husband was attending. Well, for the money, I was a bit disappointed. There are 2" gaps under all the room doors, so there is essentially NO soundproofing, and we happened to be right near the elevators and ice machine. Awakened a lot throughout the night with loud goings on in the hall. The pool is great, but located within the property in such a manor that the building itself blocks any sun in more than a 10 foot moving radius you'll get throughout the day. A shady cold pool isn't really what I had hoped for on a summer weekend getaway. The room was hot and the air conditioning wasn't strong enough or a big enough vent to actually cool the room at all. Sweaty, restless nights. The hotel itself is dated and needs updating, but those aren't the most important creature comforts. I just expect more from this level of hotel.

Great location, spacious rooms. Large property with 15 floors, only 3 elevators unfortunately. Bar/restaurant is decent but can also get quite busy. Property is 1 block from mass transit and across the street from a mall. Staff is friendly and rooms are O. K. Could use a bit of a redo.

Nice hotel with large rooms. Very clean. The check-in staff were really helpful and knowledgeable. This hotel is a really great option for Portland, because the MAX tram stop is right outside, and this takes you anywhere downtown quickly and cheaply.

It was alright. The comforters were dirty and stained. The windows had drawings on them, they comped the $20 parking for the inconvenience. The hinges of the door were covered in some sort of mold/dirt substance. I would rather spend $20 more and stay at the Hilton Portland & Executive Tower, Southwest 6th Avenue, Portland, OR for a little bit more.

The staff was very helpful. Check in and out was convenient. The two problems I had was that the pillows were extremely uncomfortable and you had to be a member to their club in order to use the Wi-Fi which was extremely annoying. I will probably not bust there again unless they change their Internet access policy.

The service in the Hilton is very good and you give a cookie when begins sure reservation the uniqo problem that I had was that the Wi-Fi is very slow.

Hotel was very nice and professional. Very close to everything. Although on a different note, hope you never forget or leave anything behind in your room after check out. Left my $450 Oakley prescription glasses behind in the room (Very difficult frame to find in stores). Called housekeeping various times. Left all sorts of voicemails with callback number. Not once did I get a courtesy call back. Eventually had enough and told the front desk I wanted to speak to someone who could help and actually remedy the situation and was told by that staff member " I myself will investigate and call you back. 2 weeks later no call back to this day. Finally today I called to speak to housekeeping one last time and its a spiralling neverending tunnel. Will not be staying here anymore.

Staff are all really nice and accompanying. Rooms are clean but rather small. Location is great for the convention center, o ly a couple blocks away. AC is not so effective and the room heatsbup fairly quick, so a lot of cycling between hot and cold at night.

It is place very conducive and accessible to places like the convention center, the moda, city center, and even to the airport. It has a nice air conditioning system. For the disabled people like me, it is easy and good to go up and down because of its reliable elevators. It has everything one needed. The bathroom is nice. A great location near downtown Portland. The staff is friendly and attentive. The food could be a little more reasonable but no sales tax in PDX helps with that. The hotel feels huge and the tower rooms — while a little dated-are comfortable and well appointed.

Room is small but very clean and modern. Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. Room service food is affordable, tasted good and came very quickly. Bed is super comfortable.

One of the best hotels by the bay~~! The singular service, attentive staffs, and picturesque ambiance. Stayed here for couple days for business and I am customer to OMNI for life. Check in process was painless and carefree. Service was top notch and the city view from my room was simply heavenly where I was engulfed by its attributions. Highly recommended~!

This place is located directly across from the Llyod Center. That can be a good and bad thing depending on what you expect to do in Portland. It's close enough for a quick Uber or Taxi across the bridge and into "downtown, " but only walking distance or a short max ride to the convention center and the Moda Center. However, the actual hotel is pretty nice considering how old it is. The lobby is gorgeous and equipped with a restaurant as well as a separate bar. The rooms are a bit small, but very clean and updated. Great place if your out of town looking to catch a Blazer game.

Room was nice, clean, roof top view with slice of water. Employees were professional. Lobby is large. Cost was exorbitant. $170 quoted ended up over $220, mostly due to taxes… and one $3 pkg. Of Tums. I'd stay there again for the convenience.

Just really not a pleasant experience. While the room was pretty clean, it was small considering the price. It also had an incredibly firm bed and no microwave or refrigerator — while these can be requested, that is sort of a pain for something that is so commonplace in hotel rooms. The Wi-Fi may have once been free, but it no longer is and there is also no complimentary food (unless you count the cookie thrown at you when you check in). The paid parking is also ridiculous, while it's supposed to be $20 dollars a night (ridiculous in it's own right) my husband and I got charged $70 dollars for our stay from 11:45 pm on Thursday to 4 am on Saturday, so basically 2 nights and 1 day. It shouldn't have been more than $40, and we're not sure how it could end up being a number that is not an increment of $20 regardless. Honestly would have been much happier staying at a holiday inn or even a best western, would not return.

I have been a loyal Hilton customer for years, and of the Hilton Hotels DoubleTree is my favorite. I have stay at many different Doubletree locations and maybe my standards are too high. In fairness to this location it is the only hotel I have stayed with in Portland so I can not say how it fairs to others in the area, my 1 star rating is in relation to other Doubletree locations. First, the overnight parking fee is the highest of any DT I have stayed with. Second, the room felt smaller then any other DT location, and the bathroom felt very cheap and a little dirty (shower head). Third, my room was directly across from the elevator and a service door. I have never had a room right across from the elevator before so this might be the case for all such rooms but I was woken repeatedly by banging from the elevator, service door, or both. Last, and this may seem like nothing but is one of those cute little things I like about DT so I have to say that I was very disappointed that they didn't have warm cookies for guests checking in. Overall it wasn't horrible as rooms go in general but if you are used to Doubletree standards you may be very disappointed…

Stay was fantastic! Loved the warm cookies and the quick room service! Beds were extremely comfortable. Didn't like that there was no mini fridge, had to turn our sink into a ice chest.

Was nice, I have never stayed in the rooms but I hear great things. PMI Portland chapter meets at the Lloyd center location on the second or third Tuesday of each month. The meals provided are good, but the vegetarian options are horrible. So if looking into catering for your event keep that in mind. Otherwise the banquet staff is amazing! Always service with a smile and quick to respond to requests.

This is my favorite hilton property period. Sally now in management? and Jacklyn at the front desk have always gone out of their way to ensure a perfect stay. The property is older and the wear shows here and there in the hallways or common areas. But the rooms are always extremely clean. I am a hilton diamond and so I stay at a lot of property's and this is still my favorite. Located right next to the max, walking distance from the voodoo doughnuts (not the downtown location the second location) and down the block from the lloyd center mall this hotel has always been easy to get around from.

In town for a conference. Beautiful hotel (although the front entrance is under construction at the moment), very friendly and efficient staff. They even gave us warm chocolate chip cookies upon checking in! Spacious room, and incredibly plush and comfortable bed, pillows, and comforter. Frankly, considering checking the brand of pillows the use so that I can purchase my own. I haven't purchased food items the hotel, but the hotel is conveniently located, and near public transit. Five stars for the staff, room, overall aesthetic, and convenience.

Staff was great, place was undergoing remodeling. Floors felt weird to walk on, like way too plush in some areas. Room wasn't very spacious. No microwave, but they brought one up free of charge. They even had gluten free cookies!

I was there for a conference recently. The food was really good, the location was comfortable but felt a little worn, and the restrooms were a bit dirty. The staff is prompt and courteous. Overall a good experience and would consider hosting an event there.

The hotel is currently under construction. It is manageable though. The views are nice from the 12th floor. The room is spacious and the beds are comfortable. Relatively small television. Everyone who works here seems welcoming and kind.

I was pleasantly surprised how amazing it was. Virgins Williams was the one that made it all come together.

The room was decent. Nice size, comfortable. The frig wasn't working so staff replaced it right away. The bathroom wasn't very well cleaned. The towel racks are in the tub area and due to lack of ventilation there is rust on the towel racks, the light fixtures have water stains built up in them. The beds were made with a top sheet over the comforter which had small tears and even a stain on one. The parking is expensive in my opinion but I understand that comes with being in Portland. I wasn't able to get into another place due to the special event weekend so I just dealt with it, but doubt I will stay there again. Upon returning late one night we missed room service so we grabbed some snacks from the lobby, the clerk gave me my change in all pennies because he didn't want to open a roll of coins which would have been fine if it was 20 of them! Then to top it off the candy bars were outdated and old. It was rather disappointing but ya live and learn.

On public train, tram lines. Parking$ garage available, friendly, close to downtown. Clean, quiet, restaurant, coffee shop in lobby. Rooms aren't big by American standards but are sufficient with queen bed, private bathroom, tv, Wi-Fi. Lots of convention groups passing through. Map of downtown provided. Even had room service.

Service from staff was great. However the hotel is dated, rooms very small, and walls paper thin. My room is one room away from the elevator and kept up at night from the sound of the elevator moving up and down. I have stayed in rooms before next to the elevator but never where you can hear it roll up and down like dump truck. The room service food was average. Definitely need improvements to modernize the facility if I were to return again.

Ok. Not in the best condition elevators are spontaneous or best location for brew pub access but was clean… bed was comfortable which is the most important item at a hotel.

My boyfriend and I were in Portland last weekend and stayed two nights at the Double Tree. We had such a great time! Pros: Hotel was beautiful. The outdoor pool was great. Awesome location — very convenient ($8 cab to downtown, 1 block from trolly/train stop and a 6 minute walk to Moda Centre) Service was friendly. We were really impressed! The hotel gave us wrong directions (causing us to be late for a comedy show we were seeing) and they gave us a free buffet breakfast to apologize which was appreciated. Cons: No hot tub, small room, no mini fridge in room. I would definitely recommend this hotel! :).

Another chain offering that I think is surviving on its points value rather than the merit of the hotel itself. It's old. The parking is a bit overpriced (especially considering that their garage is probably never actually full). I wouldn't try eating here. The rooms are HUGE, though, if you like that. The location is decent, especially if you plan on hopping on Max (Portland's light rail), just about less than a block from the front door. Stay here for the points (Hilton), the location (Max), and big rooms. Look elsewhere for something more modern, more charming, or if you want to actually be near things, as opposed to a Max ride away from them.

Arrived late due to a badly delayed flight and didn't receive any cookies which was a shame because theres no food available after 11pm. Went to bed hungry. Shower head was messed up leaking a stream of cool water out the side on me. Taking a hot shower set off the smoke alarm. Half of the TV channels were fuzzy. Paid for the expensive parking but my room key was never activated for the parking garage. Luckily the attendant was there to let me in and out. Even with expensive parking the first sign you see in the garage is that the hotel is not responsive for theft or damage to your car. Nice. Will definitely book elsewhere next time.

Is this a Hilton chain hotel? Well, I found out that it is. My original complaint is still there (a wing of the hotel needs serious capital improvement), however, it is staffed with great people who strive to make a difference in the experience. Terry Goldman, manager, took my comments very seriously, and I commend him for his vision; after all, he could have just shrugged down my review, but that was absolutely not the case. Yes, he send some treats to my room, thank you, but I think he understands the brand, and what it means to us who believe in it as well.

Was here on April 23rd for my husband's company's shareholder meeting, drove from La Grande for the one day event. Was told our lunch was being prepared by a 5 star Chef, my husband had chosen the Steak and I had the Salmon, what showed up on my husbands plate was not a steak, but pieces of beef, bite sized and very very bland in flavor, and one of the desserts was a red velvet cake. It must of been sliced and plated hours before our luncheon, it was so very dry and crumbly! Then 2 days later I returned back for a 4 day, 3 night conference, we had 200+ people for our conference and was charged $22 per person for our lunch. It was a croissant sandwich with a side red potato salad, which the chunks of onions were bigger than the diced potatoes and 1 fresh strawberry that the butts were not cut off, mine was green. And then for our first dinner on Friday night was a stuffed chicken breast, it was so dry and crumbled when cutting. And then our toilet was first running and not filling after flushing, called and they sent the engineers up, 2 of them to be exact, they said they fixed it. Then the toilet would not flush at all, once again we called, the same to men came up, said it was fixed. Then the toilet would not quit running again, every 40 seconds or so it would spray water, so now it is 10:30 at night so once again we call, now a different man comes up, was in and out in less than a minute.

Stayed here for a week while I was relocating to the city. Admittedly a bit of a hotel snob (I work for them! ), I do tend to prefer newer properties but the DoubleTree did a great job of keeping themselves modernized despite being a bit aged. The staff was wonderful — especially the front desk and the concierge desk! Some faults to be found with housekeeping (not replacing my shampoo when empty), but only minor things. My view of the city was great. While the hotel is not immediately downtown, the light rail is a few hundred feet away. Drink specials at the bar during happy hour were great, though I never tried any of the restaurants on site. One fee that I will never understand in hotels: $12.95 for Wi-Fi? That adds up after a week when your company isn't picking up the tab. A good choice for anybody visiting the wonderful city of Portland who doesn't mind being a tiny bit removed from all of the action.
