The sheets on the beds are the most comfortable hotel sheets I’ve been in.

Close to lots of restaurants and the metro.

Comfy beds. Excellent water pressure in the shower. Attentive and super courteous staff! Very pleased.

This past weekend Thursday/Saturday actually my 11 yr old twins and myself stayed there. The hotel was great and the service was phenomenal. The bartender was very friendly with the customers, as well as everyone I encountered at the front desk. However there was one young lady who truly stood out amongst the rest. Sybil was absolutely phenomenal. There’s not enough space to write in to tell you just how great she was. I would almost come back just to experience her great customer service skills again. She’s wonderful. My kids and I were shocked at how pleasant she seems and how well she was with guest. Definitely a great person to see when you walk in the door. Thanks for your all’s hospitality. The staff is amazing. Presentation is superb. But pricey. Just so you know, you have to pay for parking (a DC/Arlington thing) but its the most affordable youre gonna get.

Nice location and just a few blocks from the Metro. Room was pretty standard, however, my AC unit would not heat the room below 75 degrees. Free breakfast buffet is great.

We had a very comfortable stay here. The only issue was that the AC never got cold enough. Our room was very warm no matter how low we set the thermostat. The hotel is 4 blocks from a metro station. There is no free breakfast here, but a nice restaurant that serves breakfast in the morning and supper at night. The hotel is right across the street from a Buffalo Wild Wings and a Starbucks.

Great location. Clean room. Desk staff was courteous. Issue was that the temperature in our room never got below 75 degrees even if we set the thermostat to 65 degrees. We asked to have it checked but nothing ever changed.

Very clean and comfortable rooms with good AC. Clean bathrooms with the usual hotel goodies like shampoos and such. Rooms have irons, safes, refrigerators, coffee makers, and hair dryers. The pool was small but very refreshing. 5' 3" at it's deepest. My only complaint is the $14 daily fee for parking. They didn't appear to be lacking parking spaces so I feel the fee isn't needed. Other than that, it was a good stay.

Rooms are fairly large. Staff is very nice. Good location around a lot of popular spots. Really easy and convenient parking. If you book a room, breakfast is not necessary included.

Check in was easy and quick. Bed was comfy. Elevator is a little slow. Not too bad otherwise. Didn’t interact much with the staff. Bartenders are a hit lackadaisical.

Good location about a 10 minutes brisk walk from the metro. Rooms are dated but comfortable. AC in the rooms generally works well. There's a starbucks across the street for extra morning coffee and a number of jogging paths nearby for an evening or morning jog. Hotel staff have been helpful the few times there were issues (parking system card reader problems and the hotel losing hot water once due to pool service folks not warning the hotel before turning off the water).

It was a really nice hotel. The rooms were very large and clean. At breakfast, however, we had very little choice.

The hotel is somewhat dated. My AC unit didn't perform well at all. I woke up sweating. The cleanliness was nice and location is good too.

I visited the Holiday Inn Arlington at Ballston for a small event. I would say it was what I expected from a Holiday Inn (nothing extra special that stood out). I did take the shuttle, and found the gentleman driving the shuttle to be very friendly and accomodating. He opened the door for me upon entering the shuttle and when I departed. The young lady at the desk that called the shuttle was also very nice.

Problems from the get-go. Booked two king beds through Travelocity. Get here and they are only queens. Explained the problem to front desk staff, who stated it was not their problem but Travelocity, and they would not help. At all. Reminded me of the Soup Nazi. While checking in, a guest called down to say that they had no power in the room. No electricity! Our toilet was almost overflowing with every flush. Internet was quite slow. The TV remote hardly worked, so you had to use you phone or tablet to control the TV. Well if you wanted the TV guide, you had to pay $1 for another app. There are stains on the carpet and elevators have dents. One elevator was broken and took hours to repair, so we had to use the stairs. To get to the stairs, you had to go through a locked ballroom, so you had to have someone unlock it for you. The room seemed like a good rate at first, but when you combine no breakfast (or $17/person if you want to pay) and $14 per day parking, the value is gone. I would highly recommend looking anywhere other than this hotel.

I only stay in HIE and HI hotels as I travel around Virginia. The breakfast and coffee are great. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The bed is a great place to visit! The staff is friendly and helpful for you. This is a great place to visit wherever you are traveling to or from as you go. I hope you enjoy your night here!

I have stayed here several times over the last few years. It is slightly older than newer hotels in the area, but the staff is friendly and attentive. My favorite feature is the free shuttle that will take you anywhere in the local area. Mohammed, the shuttle driver knows all the best restaurants for all different budgets and helped me discover Fettoosh and Super Pollo. The breakfast is nice and has many options such as the Eggs Florentine with crab cakes.

Jay the shuttle driver was excellent! Very personable. Hotel was clean, front desk helped with easy check in that evening after a long time day from flight cancelling, I'm glad to get in and to bed quickly.

Great, clean and in the heart of the city. Next to Balston mall and all great restaurants.

I attended a meeting in their conference facility. I live nearby so I didn’t stay in a room. The meeting room was perfect and the food was fantastic. They even provided a lent friendly menu which was a nice touch. Parking was easy. I recommend it for meetings.

Very clean and quality location. Parking should have been free though. Wasn't there for the restaurant, but walked by and noticed it had an excellent looking bar. Might visit in the future.

I stayed on the 4th floor. The heater wasn't working correctly, so my room was cold for most of the stay. The shower also took a while to heat up. The food is affordable and alright. The breakfast buffet isn't worth the price. The room was standard. Bed was comfortable.

Size room, very quiet, a bit secluded!

Worst hotel experience ever. 1. No breakfast 2. No heater! It's almost winter! How come heaters are not working? 3. Worn out furnishing 4. No free water 5. Water from the faucet stinks 6. So much highway noise 7. Carpet smells like dogs 8. Unfriendly telephone operators.

I stayed here overnight three nights for a work orientation. It's in a walkable location in downtown Arlington, VA and a 10-15 minute drive to Washington Reagan Airport. The staff were friendly, courteous, and professional; the hotel restaurant was delicious; and the housekeeping service was superb.

Great hotel location for visiting DC. Walkable to the Metro & reasonable parking rate of $14/day. Hotel room was clean, modern & comfortable & staff throughout were helpful.

I stay in holiday inn hotels at least two weeks a month. This holiday inn is in need of upgrades and check ups. Good staff, but the hotel itself is pretty aged compared to nearby competitors. My room had power and plumbing issues, and seemed more like a motel 6 in overall quality than a Holiday Inn. Good location, close to transit and again — friendly accommodating staff.

Very convenient and plenty clean. No breakfast is included. The 12:00 check-out is helpful.

The hotel is comfortable, the staff friendly and helpful. Would suggest they tell their on line customers about the $14/day parking fee prior to check-in so that customers are aware of all charges prior to booking their reservations. Having access to coffee and microwaves would be a plus as well, but overall it's a nice hotel.

It's nice place at convenient location just right on the exit of I 66 toward Washington DC. They have nice and big rooms and great restaurant with bar. Overall it is a great.

Stayed 3 nights after 6k mile Run for the Wall run. LA to DC. Overpriced meal in restaurant, with no service. Desk personnel were not impressive or friendly. Hope we stay at different hotel in 2018.

This place is perfect distance from the metro. And the pool is nice too! Enjoying the free breakfast aswell.

Great hotel. Good location, Metro only a couple blocks away. Hotel provides Shuttle service to any location in the area if needed and they will also pick you up. Free parking. Plenty of near by restaurants to choose from. Front desk worker "Hani" was great. He was very helpful and resourceful in terms of how to get around and to the D. C area for site seeing, he was on point. I would definitely stay at this hotel again and plan on doing so before the end of the summer for a re-visit of D. C. For the price, I think 3 stars is pretty accurate for this hotel without over or under exaggerating, which most reviews seem to do.

208 rate for a room inst that great! Outside pool with no lights and the water it's extra cold. Breakfast was included as a "buffet" but is a hot breakfast any elsewhere kids eat free only one item from the menu. An Old facility in a good district metro station at 0.3 miles. Additional Parking fee of 14 per day. Web pages show rate of 144 dlls rate that turn into 208 dlls with the tax and fees plus the 14 dlls of the parking.

Room was very nice with everything you need. Spent two days there. The bar staff didn't really know what was going on, first beer cost me $6.00 and when I went to get another I was charged $8.00 for the same brand.

The location was good forban event at the National Science Foundation. The rooms are a little dated but very comfortable. The staff are excellent and very responsive.

I had a good experience at the Holiday Inn in Arlington. I had a clean, well kept room on the 4th floor that overlooked the street. The bathroom was very clean and the room was today and clean. Everything was as good as could be expected.

Rooms were excellent. Service was impeccable. Not much to complain about. Would visit again.

Staff very's at that time, our luggage from London when he came late, the staff helped us make a phone call to the airport, very helpful. When they found out we were under a lot of pressure when they gave us free drinks voucher. Hotel itself is very nice, good location, convenient to the attractions in Washington. Thanks again, you made our stay it's hard to forget.

My only complaint was the incredible lack of hot water. When you take a shower at 4:30 in the morning, one would expect hot water. After running the shower and sink for several minutes I managed lukewarm temperature which came and went.

Very friendly staff and great location for my stay for work. Have only been here a few days but everything has been clean and comfortable — just a little pricey.

Hotel is way larger than I expected. Staff was nice too. This hotel is located in a great location. Not far from major attractions. I would recommend. The housekeeping does need to practice knocking THEN entering and not doing them both at the same time.

Came here for a training for my work, food was provided by the hotel. What was in the food? Insects! Bugs in the salads and breakfast food such as the muffins. I would never stay here or ever eat the food that comes from this place!

The hotel itself is beautiful but the staff is rude. I gave my suit jacket for dry cleaning, when returned I got it with plenty of fur on that which I was not able to remove with brush even. It was roughly pressed also. I complained it on hotel reception, the rude lady said she cannot do anything as they get dry cleaning services from the market outside. They charged me $9 for this poor service. The good thing is that IHT members can get a free drag and go coffee in the morning.

Will never stay at a holiday inn again after my experience here! My parents and I were traveling in Texas and stayed here for one night. We arrived at 2:30 am after traveling and working, needless to say we were all exhausted. Around 8 am a housekeeper came into my room, waking me up, to see if anyone was in the room (seriously how do they not know if the room is occupied) it was extremely aggravating as we it was a very late night, not to mention startling! Housekeeping was very noisy, yelling conversations across the rooms as they cleaned and I was unable to go back to sleep. Also it was stated that breakfast was served until 10 am, upon arriving at 9:45 am I was told that they were closing and was too late to get breakfast. We promptly left afterward. My parents got a bogus $200 charge for smoking in their room when neither of them smoke, absolutely ridicules! BE CAUTIOUS ABOUT STAYING HERE.

We just arrived in this hotel about 10:40pm tonight after 11 hrs. Of hectic and tiring long drive and I told the man at reception to give us a very quiet room but he gave us room by service elevator noisy and I went back to receptionist and I told the women at reception that we need a room in a quiet area far from elevators and noisy rooms and she was reluctant to change our room and then she gave us room close to main elevators which is disturbing and noisy. We don't need to be treated this bad because we booked through travel agency "cheap ticket" and if this is the reason then we would like to ask hotel management to tell me why we get this humiliation even though we have paid enough ($93.00) per night. Why.

I have lived down the street from this hotel for 30 years, I was packing up my home to move and stayed at this hotel for a few nights. I am impressed how nice it is, I was thinking its age would really show. My room was nice, clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff was very kind and helpful. I will stay at this Holiday in again when I am back in the area to visit.

I stayed here because nearby hotels were booked. I was hesitant because of the bad reviews. However, this place is a very good hotel. I'm not sure why the other folks had such a bad experience. There is a running trail nearby, it is real close to the metro and restaurants. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I agree the rooms are not typical of a luxury hotel but, hey, its a Holiday Inn.

Well the lobby is set up really nice so it makes you think the rooms are going to be grand, NOT! They are just a common blah old room. It was clean and didnt smell but you would think they would be really nice. 1st nights stay the rooms air unit didnt work so the next night we switched rooms and the air in that room worked at 1st but then at 2am it stopped working and wouldnt come back on. You would think between the price you pay for the rooms and the lobby as nice as it is then you would get a room with working air. Also no free breakfast you have to pay for everything there from the OJ to the bagles. I wouldnt stay here again nor recommend it.
