We have stayed here when it was new. It is still very inviting & our view from the 9th floor is nice. The large windows bring the green & view of Ballston/Viginia square into our suite. It is very handy to the Virginia Square Metro, Harris Teeter & The Central Library. The staff is always very polite & the included breakfast/happy hour is handy for those on the run. Thanks so much Marriott.

I stayed here for a night for my birthday. They hotel’s staffs especially the front desk are very helpful and attentive. The room is very cleans and well equipped. Feel like staying at home. Great stay!

2-bedroom, 2-bath with living room, kitchen and 3 TVs… Free buffet breakfast every day, snacks and drinks in the lobby on Mon, Tues, and Wed evenings, and an indoor pool for the kids to burn off excess energy… Just what this family needs.

Nice location with a small green space across the street. Decent parking garage had plenty of spaces over our weekend visit. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Keurig coffee maker.

Liked the availability of a decent kitchen, fridge, microwave, etc. The couch in our room was not the most comfortable. Bed was comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was good with a reasonable selection. Staff courteous and helpful.

Quiet room, nice views of DC in the distance. Good breakfast and friendly staff. Two large fitness rooms and a decent lap pool about 50 ft.

The hotel staff is nice, the front desk staff is skilled and super helpful. The food and beverage manager while nice can learn a few tricks from his/ her colleagues at the Residence Inn Bethesda on how to take care of the dietary needs of all guests. The elevators are a bit slow and could use some reprogramming. The rooms are very nice and the neighborhood is filled with restaurant and shopping options within a 2 block radius. Even a Harris Teeter, cinema and Macy's. The hotel has a small convenience market, Laundry room, two gym rooms and a year-round indoor pool. The lobby and seating area are very comfortable and welcoming. All rooms come with a pull-out sofa, a full kitchenette and dining area.

Nice suites. Modern amenities. A better value than the Westin. Probably the best hotel in Ballston. And they also allow pets. Wish they had more TV channels, but hey at least they have HBO.

The hotel has all the offerings that one would want. They have breakfast, evening reception with beer and wine and some light food as well as a pool. The hotel staff are overly friendly and helpful. The rooms are huge and modern with a well kept setting. The only downside is the mattress in the room is not as comfortable. Its a huge bed but comfort levels are at about a 6.5 out of ten.

I'm here for a conference and got a very good rate on my room. Actually, it's a suite as you can see from the picture. Bedroom, living room, kitchenette. The hotel provides breakfast and a light evening meal got all guests. I wish they had more vegetables, but good at the price.

New hotel. Professional and helpful front desk. Easy parking under the hotel. Room had comfortable bedding and nice towels. Only downfall is the shower either had a super cheap showerhead. I'm use to water saving showerheads, and there are decent ones and okay ones, but this one was just bad. It had a very week steam. You had to work to get the soap off of you. Otherwise, everything was great.

Very nice hotel and room. Full fridge and microwave. All new appliances. Large flat screen tv. Good hot breakfast. Staff very nice. Bed a little too firm for me and shower not my fave — have to step in to turn it on and get wet before the water gets warm. Was there only 2 nights so dod not use the spacious closet or ample drawers.

As with most Residence Inns the staff was extremely friendly and professional. Very responsive and helpful as well. The facilities we're well managed, nice, and kept clean. There were a few little things in the room that would be expected in a high throughput location such as this. (Garbage Disposal froze and surface light on microwave out). No show stoppers and it was a pleasant stay. Due to a wind storm power was down outside the city. People flocked in and filled the hotel up without notice. The staff handled this unexpected volume very well and I was impressed. I will definitely be back again if I need a place in the Arlington area.

Not typically the Residence Inn I stay at while in NOVA but I had a class in Ballston so I decided to give it a try. I thought it was a great stay, rooms were extra clean everyday and great breakfast. Convenient to orange/sliver metro line. Plenty of places to walk and eat. Construction on going down the street but didn't bother me.

Touring comedian Dereck Sheen recently stayed here after a performance in D. C. And was very pleased with the hospitality and accommodations! The room was great, and even had a little kitchen in it which made it nice to cook his own breakfast in the morning after getting some groceries delivered right to the lobby. There was a nice fitness center as well as snacks and drinks for free in the evening! Thank you for taking such great care of our client, and we're looking forward to working with you again very soon!

Above average for a residence inn. Would stay again! We got upgraded to a suite and it was very luxurious.

The room is clean, housekeeper very friendly. The dining area for breakfast is large at first glance, but not nearly large enough for all of the guests (many who have kids). We specifically booked here because of the indoor pool. We stayed 12/26 — 12/29, and the pool hours are 5pm — 10pm. This was very frustrating as we had planned for pool time for our 10 &14 year-old boys.

This property was over run with animals the last time I stayed over Thanksgiving 2017. Not a big deal, if they were able to keep up with the extra hygiene needed. The entry to the elevator and our 6th floor hallway both reeked of animal excrement. When I emailed the management regarding this there was not much concern other than “we are pet friendly”. As Marriott Platinum elite I have not experienced that level of disinterest in a less than pleasant stay. Breakfast was a complete madhouse with the staff unable to keep up with the traffic. The hotel has been pleasant in the past.

Great location and nice amenities. The location is walking distance from many shops, restaurants and a movie theater. Parking is ample, albeit costs extra. Not far from the metro stop. The suites are spacious and well equipped. Would recommend to DC area travelers.

Stayed in the hotel for two nights two weeks ago. Great location and large and clean room with a full kitchen. Also has a nice and safe-feeling garage with a reasonable parking fee. Nice free breakfast. More importantly, front desk staff members are very friendly. For example, Robert had an easy check-in for me, Cliff helped me with a question after midnight. Peter answered my questions professionally with a smile face and patience. Overall I was impressed and strongly recommend this hotel as a wonderful place to stay. I will stay there for two nights again next month.

Dog friendly! Love these rooms. Very clean usually, my parents always stay here when visiting. However the last time, below the bathroom sink was a slew of pizza boxes and old trash… gross.

Highly recommended! Staff was very friendly, helpful, and prompt. We got a one-bedroom suite and the kids slept on the sofa bed and in a pack-and-play in the living room, so we had our private space. Rooms were impeccable and very comfortable. The free hot breakfast was a very nice perk! And the kids loved the 2nd floor pool, just the right size. Will stay here again anytime we are in DC!

Very, very happy with our experience. Checked in and an effort was made for us to check in early. We had been on the road for 19 hours so this was really appreciated. Front Desk staff were great and very welcoming. Room was very clean upon check-in and cleaned well daily. All requests were promptly serviced including additional towels, pillows and linens. Traveling with four teenage children so the free breakfast was a big deal for me (the mom). One meal I did not have to think about and everyone started out well nourished for the morning. The breakfast exceeded our expectations with juice, toppings for scrambled eggs, eggs, bacon (some days) and sausage (every day). Milk, juice, coffee and tea all provided. Bagels, bread and English muffins each day. Waffles available each day. Cereals available each day. Like I say, absolutely fantastic for hungry teens! Very close to the Metro and very close to restaurants. We tried several restaurants / take out on the list provided to the hotel and they were all great! Itemized bill available and prepared promptly at check-out. All the staff were very, very friendly and accommodating! Would recommend to friends and will return to this hotel if in the area.

Room wasn't clean and was missing sheets and blankets. Friendly staff, but when asked to bring sheets and blankets up they took an hour to bring up at 2100 hours. We told them ahead of time we were bringing 3 kids. One was an infant and we needed a pack and play. The pack and play had multiple large holes. We had them bring a new one. They dropped it off and didn't take the old one with them. This had been planned months in advance so they knew all this info plenty of time in advance. Breakfast was good and had lots of variety.

Very nice hotel, super friendly staff. I really have nothing negative to say about this hotel other than the fact that the breakfast doesn't have the greatest selection. You can definitely find a healthy selection for fruits and vegetables though.

Wow factor for friendly and helpful staff. No issues with anything on site. Love the gym with hallway separation and they have a pool! #! #! Easy access to area restaurants, drug stores, grocery and Metra line. Short drive from airport. 6 stars from me. Always try to stay here when on business to area.

Good choice for an extended stay in the Ballston area. Five minutes to Metro. Well-equipped suites and a nice pool, exercise room, and laundry. Great breakfast buffet included. Evening reception varied but was good most nights. I encountered an unusually large number of maintenance issues during my stay, including a broken room lock, a missing iron, and am elevator that broke down. The staff did their best to fix these issues quickly and professionally, and overall service was excellent, but for a new hotel they seemed to be having a lot of issues. Maybe just bad luck.

Easy to get to with parking in a garage underneath the hotel. Parking is pricey ($17 / day), but secure. If you prefer there is metered street parking and the Ballston Mall garage within walking distance. We stayed in a 2 bedroom which was generous in size and had a decent kitchenette. The room ran warm (even though we turned the system all the way down) and fluctuated a bit in temperature throughout the nights we stayed. The rooms and bathrooms were clean on arrival and we're cleaned well each day of our stay. While the hotel is pricey, they offer free breakfast weekday mornings from 6-9am and weekends from 7-10am, as well as evening service Mon, Tues, and Wed. The food served was pretty decent and was constantly being catered to with fresh food. Would recommend for others looking for a decent hotel in the area with close proximity to downtown DC (approx 15 min drive and 15-20 min metro ride)

Very beautiful, safe location. Friendly front desk staff, clean rooms and overall beautifully designed… as most Marriott properties are. If you are unfamiliar with the area you may miss the parking garage. There aren't really any signs that are noticeable if you aren't paying attention. Even if you were paying attention it would be hard to see. Overall excellent experience and I would stay here again anytime I'm in the DC area!

The Residence Inn is in a great location and the staff was very helpful. The complimentary breakfast was adequate — hey, come on… it was free after all. It was easy to get around being close to the metro.

Employees: The guys at the front desk were very polite but not very warm, felt forced and robotic. The staff at the breakfast dining area were much nicer and accommodating. Hotel: Has a very nice lobby. The elevators require a room card to be swiped for extra security. Room: I got the one bedroom suite and it's really nice, clean and spacious. HOWEVER be careful of the rug border by the kitchen tiled floor, I stepped on something pretty sharp, might have been a nail that wasn't hammered down enough. The shower curtains didn't make sense, they cut the plastic curtain too short so all the water splashed onto the floor. Extras NOT included: — When I stayed at the Residence Inn Newark Silicon Valley (I've been spoiled by them), things like toothbrushes, toothpaste and razors were complimentary — here it's not, I asked for a razor and the front desk guy referred me to the Sundry/Convenience store which only had packs of disposable Bic razors. — Luggage stand in your room — Residence Inn Signature Welcome Bags, these usually include cookies or some other type of snack and a bottle of water — On-site parking: 16 USD daily Pro Tips: Take advantage at breakfast for free bottles of water and yogurts or fruit to go! They'll even give you a to-go box if you ask!

Hotel was in a great location. Hotel staff were very professional. Room was clean and ready for me upon arrival. Breakfast was good with egg and andouille sausage tortillas (had egg white only eggs and non pork assuage available as well). Even had a guy giving out banana smoothies. Great stay!

The location is great and a convenient walk to many restaurants and shops. The service is fantastic and my room was phenomenal. Fantastic stay. Would stay here again.

Good location convenient to transit and the Capitals arena. Also, they are dog friendly just keep in mind it's $100 per stay, ouch. The nice thing about this place if you do bring your dog is that the walls are very well insulated and you can't easily hear everything from your neighbors (if you have a dog like mine that barks at noisy people in the hallway). Great little happy hour events too and there is an empty lot across the street for easy dog walking.

Location is central to all kinds of entertainment options. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are very nice. Would stay here again.

My first stay at this hotel has been exceptional. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful. I chose the hotel based on its proximity to my company's corporate office. The area has many restaurant choices, and is convenient to grocery and convenience stores. The rooms are like mini apartments, offering a very comfortable setting for brief and extended stays. There is a kitchen complete with cooktop, toaster, and full refrigerator, a living room with sofa, TV, and coffee table, as well as a separate room with the bed and bathrooms. My king suite was exactly what I was looking for — an extremely comfortable environment that felt more like a condo than a hotel room.

Accommodations were wonderful. Helpful staff, with nice clean halls and the rooms were very nice. Had a social gathering to attend and this was our meeting place. Beds were comfortable and slept very well. Will visit again.

Big clean room that's good for a family vacation especially for a long trip. Close to the metro and also has lots of good amenities close in northern Arlington as well.

Good location with plenty of restaurants nearby. Rooms are clean and nicely furnished, perhaps a little small, but what I'd expect in the DC area. Service is efficient and polite. Overall, a good quality business hotel.
