They do a good job on keeping the place clean. Nice rooms for the money. Pet friendly with a charge. They need to provide do not disturb signs to hang on the doors.

I have stayed here on two occasions. My first visit /experience was pleasant. Coffee in the breakfast area with waffles, pastry, cereal and the was staff pleasant and kind. On my return trip I was disappointed. The entry door was dirty with hand prints and the bathroom door had spilled Kool aid. The bathroom was clogging only to find other hair floating in the tub. The following morning I discussed with the young lady and she apologized and explained they had two new housekeepers. I asked her to have the issues resolved and she gladly responded it would be taken care of upon return. It was and I was thankful. We enjoyed coffee before leaving and they wished us a great day. A family operated business all to kind to resolve any issue encountered and unknown. The motel is about 10 minutes from the airport and restaurants near by to visit or walk.

I'm not affiliated with any hotel or Google, so this is a honest, unbiased review. This America's Value Inn is not for familes or people looking to stay while on vacation. There is a oil field close by so many of the guys stay at this inn, it seems it was built for them in mind. I should have known it was going to be a bad experience as soon as I checked in. The front desk person asked if I had kids, once I told him yes he said It would be extra for them. I though the rate I payed for, which was online, was a flat rate regardless of persons. I was wrong. Once we got in the room, which I was told was a non smoking room, smelled like cigarette and as soon as we opened the restroom it had a foul smell. My wife said it smelled like mildew. At night the AC would stop blowing cold, it was just blowing air as if the compressor cut off. Then minuted later it would blow cold again. It's not an issue for the bed closest to the AC, but for the farther bed it can get extremely warm, especially in the middle of the blazing summer. Lastly, the "continental" breakfast is sub-par at best. It looks like the milk and juice are powered products that are mixed with water. There are some fruits though not a large variety, 2 kinds of cereal and a waffle maker. That's it. The location is by far the best thing about this Inn. It is less than 20 min from Port Isabel and a bridge ride from there to South Padre Island (depending on the traffic).

I can’t even give it a 1 Star. This place is plain NASTY! From the floors to the roof its ridiculously filthy! Arriving we were greeted by a dirty tampon on the parking space. As we were climbing up the stairs with our belongings we came across our first roach. When we came into our room we were disgusted by the smell and figured it would ease a little after we turned on air condition unit, but NO! Sink had soap scum and tooth paste all over. Shower/tub had soap scum and mold and to top it off having to shower in that we were given two towels for 4 guests! Once night fell we undid our covers just to be disgusted once more. The cover had a horrible smell (Front desk explained it’s washed once a month). Sheets had stains all over and pillow covers still had the drool from the previous guests. *ALERT* please don’t stay with children or more than 2 adult guests because they will try to charge per head. Our key was deactivated and our air unit shut down by front desk, right before the owner came in with master key while I was in the shower. All this cause he felt we were taking advantage for not paying for our children’s stay in a 2 queen bed room. (2adults/2children) He invaded our privacy, called the cops and tried to refuse service for a paid room still in contract. Gladly cops read them our rights and we were given the authority to stay for the remaining night. I have a case number and pictures which I will report to corporate and take to court for privacy invasion.

The staff was wonderful in accomodating to my request. They called me with great timing when the best option for me was available. When we got there, they were very friendly and we had a great stay.

Just stop to rest nothing extravagant or exciting front desk guy was nice and helpful.

Great place to film a horror movie! It has all the ambiance of the first Psycho film. If I was going to shoot a horror/porn comedy and I had less than $1000 budget, I'd definitely shoot it here. I felt so smart being the only one who could speak English!

Clean and neat rooms with good customer service. Continental breakfast is available in the morning. We had nice time in Brownsville.

This hotel is unbelievable and the rooms are absolutely beautiful.

Stayed for 2 nights. The floor was dirty and sticky. Even if the floor was mopped it needed to be mopped a second time. Shower water smelled like sea water at first. The room was stuffy and smelled until the A. C. Stated running. Had to call the front desk to turn on the A. C. They told me the last tenant was dirty. Still no excuse! Im never going back.

We had 5 people with 4 rooms and only 2 vehicles. They had truck parking, so asked front desk if one of our crew could park in truck parking because he stays in his van. Was told no but if he paid front desk 10 — 12 $ he could stay. No electric, no restroom privileges, 10-12 $ for a dirt spot in an empty lot. What has the United States come too.

This is a pretty kool hotel. They have soap, lotion, body wash, and shampoo dispenser. The room is nice, spacious, and very clean. Plus, the staff is extremely nice!

Came for work, which is five mins away from here. Have breakfast served every morning, can't complain! The price is good and the room is nice!

Rooms are clean, beds are comfy, showers are nice. The room we had, had nice tile floor, comy couch. They do have a 20 dollar pet deposit, but if you have a service dog they are welcome. The office staff is so polite an nice. An they welcome truck drivers. We will be coming back when we are in Brownsville. Thanks for everything!

Definitely not an of the way bargain. It is decidedly a budget motel. No amenities to speak of. Cheap sheets, flat pillows, frayed brown towels. No carpet. Destroyed Kleenex slot, so there were none. Wires where smoke detector used to be. Loud, barely cooling air conditioner. No coffee maker in the room, as advertised on website. Staff nice enough, but I was glad to leave and won't return.

Good proximity to SPI. Room looked like it did on travelocity. I wasn't overcharged and the staff was very friendly. We will return.
