The scariest dirtiest place I have ever stayed. Our room had old corn chips on the floor, long black hairs in our bed, hairs on our towels. The toilet had dried up urine stains or blood on the seat. The shower was dirty. The walls were full of nasty built up dirt that could be wiped off if cleaned properly & the room smelled of cigarette smoke. Even outside smelled like sewage & cigarettes. I am a 39 yr women traveling with a 17 yr old female. I slept with my stun gun & pepper spray next to me. I did not get under the covers & had the worst night ever. I was afraid that the people outside smoking weed & partying were going to break into our truck. It was not worth the $78 dollars I paid for it & would like a refund if possible. I have stayed in several motel 6 around san Antonio & have never felt like this or seen anything so nasty. You do not deserve any stars and a member of management needs to truly visit this facility and make several changes.

Got a refund! Trash in parking lot. People hanging out everywhere. Couldn't even get in our room because card reader was broken. Finally entered room to see no comforters on bed and cigarette burns on blankets in a non smoking room. Not to mention the room was extremely small.

There was only 2 things that was alright with this hotel. 1. — pets stay free. 2. — you don't have to sleep in your vehicle. The room was really small, there was no bag for ice, there was no cups for water, the floors were really dirty & sticky (like the room was never "cleaned"), found hair inside the blankets &on the the pillows, no "do not disturb sign", no phone book, mini fridge was plugged in & not even cold, no coffee or breakfast area, beds were very uncomfortable, the pool was green, no shampoo, & very low water pressure. Do not bring your family or kids here. Definitely not what we expected at all. Do not waste your time or money here. We WILL NOT stay at this hotel again!

A 1970s Motel 6 Relic to Avoid. We drove down the 27 service road closer to downtown and saw a Days Inn that has had all the windows knocked out and is ready for demo. I'm a M6 veteran, don't require too much to get a good-night's sleep. In the late 70s, early 80s, this place was certainly an affordable $19.99/night palace. This place is ready for demo. Staff was very kind, but no longer do I think this is the version of lodging M6 should care to provide people. Understand that I stay coast-to-coast in M6 all over the country each year still. This is one of the most outmoded facilities I've seen. The concrete is crumbling, with foot-deep potholes in the parking lot, with clientele that don't seem to have a problem stacking up a bag of trash and leaving it next to where they'd parked when they leave, BUT with a staff that is trying to do the best they can and nothing can save this place. Needs to be knocked down and Lubbock needs a low-cost replacement that isn't an M6 studio property. Bottom line, the staff here is exceptional and they deserve a better facility to work out of.

Very old and nasty hotel. The lady at the front desk was very sweet and help full. Definitely not what I expected to stay at. We stayed in a smoke free room but cover was full of cigarette burns the tub was still dirty and stained of cigarettes. Air conditioning barely worked. Needs to definitely be inspected and updated everything!

My husband and I checked in for an evening of pleasure getting away from our three grandchildren for a little while. We were planning on coming back before check out time the next morning, but he became ill and we did not get that chance. Unfortunately, I took a shower and when he was going to use the other towel, it was not clean. He was going to get a clean one the next morning, but we did not get to return. The rest of the stay was great and we will return.

Was suppose to be non — smoking smelled of tobacco smoke! bed spreads were full of burned holes and stained. Sink faucet was backwards, hot was cold, cold was hot. Tub was stained, floor was gritty and dirty. Could hear people walking around in upstairs room most of the night!

Paper thin walls, and the lady of the evening and her friend are having a great time, sounds like a few orgasms and perhaps a strip-tease. Then some spanking, I have to wonder if they are going to stay up all night. This place is not acceptable. Not At All.

Nice staff but nasty bathrooms and beds. I think it's sad when you are not allowed to rent at this hotel due to them not handling me hiring a lawyer. I spent 2000 there when I stayed a month there with my two boys. We had to move rooms 4 times. First room my son's bed had dry blood on the sheets, dirty sheets along with a baby's dirty diper, second room the TV wasn't working, third room the door lock was broken couldn't shut the door, forth room there was loud neighborhoods. After a while the staff got rude, took maintenance a day to come fix things, maids never came to my room. I always had to go to the office to get things. I had to call the office at least 5 times or more a day. I spoke to the manger finally about a refund or to go to there sister hotel since I paid in full and they refused. I called Corp to speak to the lady who takes care of these types of situations but she was rude. Finally in the end she offered me 86 dollars out of 2000 and banned me from renting there again. I do not recommend this motel because as a customer they don't care about you, your family, or health.

Probably the worst place I have ever stayed at! The floor in the room was filthy. Wi-Fi is $5. Pillows look like they are pregnant. No dresser for clothes and no shampoo in the room. No coffee and soap is very small. Towels are small and thin. Chairs in the room are hard as a rock and not comfortable at all. In short this place is a dump!

Idk about all these bad reviews. I would give this place 5 stars if the outside matched the inside (as far as nice goes). This place looks old outside (kinda rough actually) but, our room (two different rooms because we upgraded to a kitchenette) and they were both super! Clean everything, everywhere in the room. Desk lady could be more courteous (very short when speaking with guests and occasionally rude) but housekeeping (or at least the ladies that came to our room. Especially the one that came on our first 2 days) were awesome! Polite, kind, and very customer friendly. Always asking if we needed anything and wanting to make our stay better. Definitely going the extra mile. Staying here would be a great choice for any traveler! Oh yeah, no breakfast but we did not mind.

The room was okay beds were comfortable the housekeeping needed a lot of attention floor wasn't swept tub was not cleaned and showerhead had a lot of lime buildup I had to wipe it down to get the water to spray out bad buildup in it the second night stay had to find the housekeeping she didn't empty the trash cans nor swept the sand off the floor did not wipe sink down nor cleaned the tub was a bit disappointed in the cleanliness but overall the front staff were very friendly and awesome.

This Hotel was the worst of the Motel 6 that I have ever stayed in with my wife. Everything was old, and we did not expect that when booking the room online. In the past we have had no problem with the quality of the room. I do like the place was pet friendly, but will never book at the Lubbock location again.

I enjoyed my stay… I had a clean room & the staff was awesome… very sweet & accommodating. It was worth the money, you get what you pay for & that's understandable so I gave you 4stars for my experience & will continue to use Motel*6 when traveling… hoping I have the same experience as I did w/ the Lubbock one. Helps w/ traveling more when the motel prices are this affordable… thank you Motel 6

The room in itself was fine, confortable, but the switch for the light didn't work at first (we had to reach the smaller switches of the lamps, in the dark, to get the main switch to work and the lights to light up… Just a detail but so easy to fix…). The bathroom however was not so good. The tap was terrible (never seen such a thing: 3 strings of water but with enough power to create a black hole… Pretty useless and extremely inconfortable) and the bath was a bit damaged (nothing horrible though). At least the price was quite low.

I'm not a picky person, so it has to be REALLY bad, or really good for me to take the time to write a review. In this case, unfortunately I had a horrible experience! The front office staff was very nice. I understand why they were so friendly because the room and grounds were trashy, dirty etc. The faint smell of urine welcomed my daughter and I upon initial approach to check-in, upon entering room 273 we noticed the a/c unit was in ill repair, the smoke alarm was chirping and needed battery replaced. The wood floors were dirty, cracked, tore up, old and unkempt. Mystery stains on bed sheets. Noise and voices from the adjoing room were heard easily. This was quite possibly my worst motel experience EVER!

KIMBERLY at the front desk was absolutely amazing in helping me to provide a very kind homeless man a room for a couple nights. Thankful she was there to help me (us) and give him a place to kick up his feet and get a warm nights rest. Thanks so much KIMBERLY!

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. Worst motel experience ever. Our non smoking room smelled like cigarettes, there was even a burn hole in the top cover on the bed. There was someone immediately soliciting us in the parking lot. The only reason we stayed is because it's pet friendly and we have a dog, making it difficult to just find another motel last minute. Even our bath towels smelled like smoke. Don't waste your time here, you're better off sleeping in your vehicle.

David was simply amazing! The guest service I received from the night crew was an experience I have never had at Motel 6! The front desk staff from David, Kimberly, Mercedes and Crystal thank y'all so much for your kind and great service!

Travel for work. Stayed here 4-5 times in the last 2-3 years. Just once I would like a bed w/out mystery stains and a clean bathroom. Ive made complaints over shoddy maintenance and poor hygiene in previous visits only to be moved to other rooms in a similar condition. The same is true tonight. Don't feel it does any good to complain so I'll review you, and not return instead. I've been pestered in your parking lot on numerous occasions by people wanting everything from money, to cigarettes, to rides around town. The dispositions of your front desk personnel ranges from pleasant, but distracted and inefficient, to flatly rude. Based on numerous poor reviews found here, your staff couldn't care less either way, and it would appear no one is going to hold them to account. Ever.

The location is depressed part of Lubbock, TX. And a lot of outside activity. As a male traveling with my dogs at the time, I was not worried to go out with the dogs. But I would not advise that to any female after dark.

The front desk attendant was helpful. The room was TINY (2 double beds that were either pushed up against the wall or against the ac/heater). Bathroom was dirty and shower was spackled too many times (disgusting! ) Friendly personell but will not recommend if proper repairs aren't made.

Room was great and I got it for $40. So quality was great for the price. The environment needs improvement with the clientele around the area though.

Our stay in room 176 was good. The staff was courteous, helpful and friendly. We received a clean room with a good bed and bathroom facilities that worked. That's what we needed and expected. I didn't rate the stay 5-star because (1) the lamp over the desk had a broken switch and could not be turned on; (2) the "breaker" plug on the heater/cooler was in the off position and the heater would not come on until I finally figured out that was the reason (should have been noticed by the housekeeping staff when the room was cleaned) ; (3) the flooring at the foot of the bed (which had to be traversed to enter the bathroom) had floor covering that needed to be replaced (the top surface was torn away leaving a tar-like substance).

Desk clerk Chrystal was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The morning clerk was not at all friendly. She ignored me when I turned in my key.

The staff was great! Very friendly and personable. Unfortunately I think it's time to let this structure be taken down. Tom Bodett, let this one go and build new. Unfortunately there isn't a lot of good I can say. Sorry motel 6!

I recently stayed at this Motel 6 for a Texas Tech football game. It was the last available hotel in Lubbock, and was about $192 for 2 nights. While I understand the price due to it being a football game weekend, the cost for the room based on the conditions was unacceptable. The room was extremely dirty. The floor was not clean, the counters had hair, spills, and debris on them, and the toilet had hair and other debris present. We purchased cleaning supplies at Walmart and cleaned and wiped down the room. The beds were made, but looked like they had old or used linens. There were no fresh towels provided and nobody came to check on the room between the first and second nights. The location of the hotel was not bad, and the lady at the front desk was pleasant. Those are really the only positive things I can say. While I understand Motel 6 is a discount chain, I don't think it is acceptable to charge approximately $100 a night for a dirty, disgusting room, football game or not. I hesitated to leave a review as I didn't have much positive to say, but since I received an email asking me to review the hotel, I decided I would. If this hotel is my only option again, I will stay out of town and commute. I do understand that this is a budget hotel and I didn't expect 5 star accommodations, but I feel that I extremely dirty room is also unacceptable.

The room was full of flies. There was no bathtub in the room, just a shower which looked like they ripped out the tub and tiled the floor. The shower head was around 4.5 feet from the floor, no shelf or hand rail anywhere near the shower. No blanket on the bed, just sheets and a stained bedspread. The floors were sticky. The sink only ran cold water and the towels smelled like mildew. This is the 3rd time I have stayed here and each time it has gotten worse. Never again.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. This was the worst experience I have ever had at a Motel6. I was in a room right above the office. I walk in and the room was dirty. There's three of us and only one towel and one wash rag. The maid was rude when she was asked for more towels and said that there wasn't enough to go around. Not our problem. We called Motel6 headquarters and they tried calling the motel and couldn't get anyone to answer the phone. I would not recommend this particular Motel6 to anyone.

Absolutely the worse hotel experience I've ever had. Though the staff was professional and helpful, the accommodations themselves were filthy, as in not properly cleaned. Additionally there were blood stains in the bathroom tiles, cigarette stains everywhere (though it was a non smoking room). Dirty counter tops throughout. Dirt in the corners of the room, meaning that at best the rooms receive a light sweeping. Absolutely shocked. Would have asked for money back, however all hotels in the area were fully booked solid. I thought Motel 6 had a better product than this. Will not be staying at a Motel 6 again. So disappointed.

Your establishment was more than satisfactory. The police that left a ticket on my car for handicapped parking was a gross violation. My pass was clearly hanging on my rear view mirror. Guess they thought they could get some quick money from a Canadian. I'm disappointed that your clerk would not come out that morning and verify my pass was properly displayed before I opened the car door. I did get the maid to do that. I'm an ex police officer and the person who wrote the ticket needs to be disciplined for poor job performance. Because of the ticket I can't recommend your location. Otherwise thank you for a nice stay.

I have stayed at many motel 6 but never one that made me feel like I would have had a better experience in the bed of my truck! Unit # 125 has linoleum floors of two different unrelated styles. The tub had cigarette burn marks. The sink is cracked. The bed springs rock when you try to turn over and wakes you up constantly. Giving this location a one star is an over assessment but it is the lowest you have. The front desk lady was very nice so it is not her fault the rating is so low. Since I must stop on a positive note, the shower was fine and the AC was comfortable. Thanks for all the other good nights at other Motel 6 locations.

Everything in the room was dirty. To give you an idea, the toilet stopped working the first flush, which is when I discovered a used pregnancy test in the toilet tank. The bed had debris in it, like they dropped the sheets on the dirt outside quickly before making the bed. A couple towels had weird dark brown spots so we just got all new towels. Then in the morning when we pulled off the sheets, we learned that they didn't use mattress protectors or any sort of barrier between sheet and mattress. The mattress looked like several someones had literally been murdered while sleeping there. Then of course the other guests only detracted from our experience. The screams of children were heard continuously for hours before the pool closed at 2130 and the adults weren't any better. I've stayed at a lot of Motel 6's, most cheaper than this one, and they were all better by far. Avoid if you can.

Rooms were really small the bathroom wasn't clean. They also charge for Internet which I feel shine included with the stay. One positive it was the Only hotel that accepted pets.

Although quiet. I found staff will not accomodate people w/ PTSD by following certain requests to make that person's stay a pleasant one, which involved removing towels from room since person gets flashbacks from towel colors. Staff behaved as though I was bothering em. I've never found safety to be an issue here, hope to find my vehicle and everything in it fine. In order to rate this place you have to mark or fill in one star to get on website.

Would not stay here again, our safety is worth more than the cost of this room… our room had a funny smell, the floors were stained with dirt along the edges of the room. There were people hanging outside smoking and drinking upstairs… I'm glad our room and our parked car were close to the office were the security officer and employees were located. At lot of shady people around. But I will say It was quite, the bed sheets were clean with no visible stains, the TV worked fine and the night staff were friendly.

I have not ever stayed here and I don't know why it posted that I had. I only looked at the very bad reviews and had decided to look elsewhere. If that's the only way you get good reviews your sunk. For this I wouldn't even waste my time to even rate it.

This has to be the worst motel 6 out there I tried to stay a week but by the 2nd day I was done first off they didn't clean my room on the 2nd no towels nothing they said they were busy I can relate … But that night my truck was broken into with a supposed security guard on duty I lost almost 10000 dollars worth of equipment and can't even see the security tape my advice to everyone is just stay away they don't give a crap about nobody here the customer service really needs work there was only one person there worth a damn and that was Annette she did what she could but this place needs to stop letting all these drug dealing scumbags in!

When I first arrived and was interupted during my s&m session I noticed how the bed was unevenly maid, tisk, tisk.

This place is has been horrible since we've arrived. Upon walking in the room the first time the floor was covered in dirt like it hadn't been swept and mopped in a week. The first week we stayed there housekeeping only came once and only to offer us towels not to clean. We were told if you stay week weekly they will clean one day and a few days later bring towels and get trash. After complaining to the front desk they came the next day to clean and when I got back to the room it still hadnt been swept or mopped. We had to go out and buy our own broom just to have a clean floor. I tried to get some change to do laundry at their washing machines and they said they could only give me 2 dollars which wasn't even enough to do one load. All that aside I've seen the police here 3 times so far and every time someone's been arrested. There are crack heads that hang around and beg for money and it's just an overall bad place.

Guys, I use this place every time I am In Lubbock TX. If your looking to just get some rest and get a hot bath and be on your way the next morning this is the place. Good prices, flat screen TV. Hot water. Clean room. Right off the highway. Management at the front disk they are very helpful. Specially all the ladies working at the front disk they are really sweet and nice.

Although the room is nice I hate it. There is dope heads all night that go around and disturb the place. This morning either house keeping or a pimp and hoe (according to hubby that's who it was) was walking around making as much noise as possible. Being that we live on the road and stay at motel 6 a lot (almost every night) I wouldn't recommended it if your here just to sleep like we were. I got terrible sleep from all the noise. Also although not end of world the drain to run a tub was broke hubby had to ghetto rig it so I could take a bath (only way I can get my pain away after long day of driving). Also house keeping needs to make sure to get the hair out the shower I had to rinse it out myself before using it. Bed was nice though and the place seems like it could have been my favorite motel 6 but after the night of sleep I would say its my least favorite. If staff reads reviews then keep the hotel quit and y'all would be great. Never again I'll sleep in my car before staying here.

We were in Lubbock for a family medical emergency and found every person at the Motel 6 was friendly, accomodating, helpful. The rooms were clean, the grounds were neat, location was handy. No restaurants/stores within walking distance but easily within driving area.

Safe, clean, right on the way and a great value. Nice folks on the desk.

Basic room but clean and everything works. Don't expect a lot, the beds are comfortable but would like to have a frig. Staff was friendly, have stayed here several times. Reliably clean, but as I said, very basic.

Its OK for the price. But dont expect simple amenities that even the crackhouse hotels offer. No free Wi-Fi, no microwave or refrigerator. Not exactly a place for any extended stay.

Almost a 5 star experience — I chose this motel for it's proximity to Hwy 84 so that I could leave the city at midnight and easily be on my way to a full day's drive to my destination. Little did I know that it would be so nice and accommodating. The rooms had obviously been recently refreshed, were clean and attractive and in good repair. There were the usual guests requirements: laundry, vending, ice, ample safe parking, well-lit areas, etc. But with all this said, what impressed me most was the value of my few dollars spent there and the friendliness and courtesy of the employees. Especially the over-night clerk, who treated me like a member of her family and made me feel like a really special guest. I liked my stay and am happy to recommend this Motel 6 to anyone who needs an inexpensive, clean, and comfortable place to stay in Lubbock.
