Great place to stay. Nice and clean with breakfast is pretty good. Complimentary Wi-Fi is good. Staff is friendly and courteous with great service.

Loved La Quinta on Ave Q, Lubbock, TX. Very nice, spacious room, comfy bed, clean. Very nice staff, decent breakfast. The outside a little old but the inside made up for it. Great rates! Would absolutely stay there again. The whites from nm.

The room was in okay condition and there was pubic hair left in the bathroom. We do not recommend staying at this hotel again. We usually are quite pleased with La quinta's and their service When my husband checked us out the front desk lady apologized for the condition of the room and stated that she would refund us 20 dollars and that never happened. I was quite frustrated with the experience.

Nice people working here. It is an ok motel for the price. Pretty old, room could use some work. Metal corners on the bed were hard on the shins. I would look elsewhere.

I wouldn’t even give a one star but had to pick at least one to start post! It’s really a bad sign when you pull up the 2nd day of your visit and cop cars are all outside the motel! We packed up and left, forfeiting our last night! Overheard a woman that someone tried to break into her room overnight. Besides this, two lamps/light fixtures broken and so was the hair dryer. Inside was dumpy and badly in need of upgrades and newer decor. It was clean but lacked eye appeal! I have always had good experiences with La Quinta in the past. Not sure I’ll try again.

I give this motel 4 stars for the following reasons: First of all, the location is great. The outside of the motel is a little weathered, but the room I rented (king bed, fridge, microwave) was very nice. The room was spacious with a nice chair to sit in as well as a nice desk area with outlets for all my devices. The bathroom was spacious and clean. I did not take advantage of the breakfast buffet, so I can't comment on that aspect. I have a kid in Texas Tech — — so I will definitely stay at this La Quinta again as it was a great deal. The girl at the reception was also very nice and helpful.

It's cheaper and in a sorta shady part of town. Wouldn't recommend if you got a family to stay here, it's mainly were you would pick up prostitutes and I saw at least 2 drug deals happen in the parking lot. But hey, I got a great night's sleep for the money. The room smelled a bit like urine and to be honest was sorta dingy. Would I stay here again? Probably not, but it was quite a fun experience.

One of the most disgusting places I've ever stayed. My tent in Afghanistan was cleaner and probably safer. The TV didn't work, there was a gigantic 3ft by 2ft hole in the wall behind the dresser. There was no hot water and the bedding was dirty. Two of my pillows were new and one was old and brown with blood stains on it. I think it was left behind by a guest and the cleaning staff just threw a pillow case on it. The staff was very nice but the hotel itself needs to be shut down and condemned.

We had a great stay. We were traveling from Colorado to Austin and needed somewhere to rest our heads with our pups. This was perfect. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. They offer simple breakfast (waffles, yogurt, cereal, muffins, fruit) in the lobby. The only 'issue' was that we were told we would have a pull out sofa, but there was no sofa in our room. Not really an issue for us so we didn't bring it up.

Bad location, dirty room, outside room access, drunken homeless people partying in the parking lot and on the balcony all night. I would not recommend this to anyone.

It's been an up and down. Staff very nice but motel has problems our first night was married by flooded room above which drained into our bathroom. We were moved to a new room and not charged for the night. Second room had small bathroom with a ttub shower that either ran ice cold or scalding. Very hard to adjust. Motel was pet. Friendly and did not charge. For pets. Rates were reasonable and. Good eats close at hand. My pups. Loved it. Esspecially Bubba is.

The room was clean. The location was easy to access and close to shopping and dining options. Also, the staff were very helpful and polite.

We loved this location. We stayed at la Quinta through out our whole cross country road trip and had no complaints. They have great prices, nice suites and dogs stay free!

The pool is average depth at 5' with room for multiple families. Overall it's a quality place to stay the night.

Decent rooms, nothing fancy, continental breakfast available. The rooms are fairly clean, the beds are the standard extra firm that hotels like to use, the pillows are overstuffed so your chin is in your chest, bathrooms are tiny.

Older building and needs improvement. However, as an employee here, I can tell you that since the new manager has been here, everything is getting cleaner; especially since I work here now in housekeeping. This location is really improving quickly.

This hotel is okay IF ALL YOU WANT is four walls and a bed. Don't expect nice amenities like running water or a working TV. We came in last night and the TV didn't work, but the room was nice enough so we figured we would just switch rooms. Woops. We were locked out without working keys while holding my underdressed toddler in below freezing temperatures (the new room was right around the corner). They told us to leave the old keys in the old room so we were locked out of that one too. We finally get in the new room. Underpowered heater, and we wake up to no running water! Fun. Now let me tell you about the last time we stayed. We figured it was "okay" for the price. But having two lights and the hair dryer short circuit should have been enough of a clue that we shouldn't stay here again. Lesson learned.

Blood in the bathtub. Pubes in the bathtub. Sex markings on the head board of the bed. Stool markings in the toilet. This place is horrifying. We laid towels down on the floor to walk on. This place is absolutely filthy… I’ll say the women upfront was friendly. It’s not that hard to clean a place up. Get a better cleaning team that actually cares about the guests saftey and their jobs.

Nice place to stay Morning crew was the greatest. Very friendly and hospitable. Our grandkids loved putting ornaments on the Christmas tree. Rooms were comfortable and spacious. Bathroom was very roomy. Waffles were great. Coffee was top notch and hot. Thanks LQ!

The rooms seem to be recently remodeled and they are really nice. Only complaint is that some of the electrical outlets do not work correctly due to being cracked. The location is good. Perfect for being a few minutes drive away from the events taking place, but just out if the way for a quiet stay. The service is good. Very friendly staff.

The first room we got had a broken air-conditioning, so we were downgraded to a smaller room. The cleanliness is ok and the rooms are sort of updated… but not completely. The location is sketchy. I felt unsafe a few times at night while taking my dog out to do his business. Suspicious cars were coasting around the parking lot and seemed to tail me until I went inside. Continental breakfast wasn't great, even by continental breakfast standards. If I had to pass through Lubbock again, I'd probably pick a different location.

Pretty nice place staff was good downtown area bedrooms clean kinda quiet place I sleep good no complaints would stay again if n the area good rates also… oh yea bathroom clean but a lil tight.

Friendly staff, pet friendly suite was a little rundown, but everything worked. The toilet door was also impossible to close without stepping into the bathtub, and the toilet paper was, of course, behind that door. The only big compliants I have are that the internet cut out constantly and a huge light outside pointed right into our suite and onto the bed.

I've stayed in this La Quinta for years, and it never disappoints. It's an older property, but well kept. Staff are friendly and courteous, rooms are clean, good location, and coffee in the room.

Mostly decent hotel. Dogs allowed, which is good. It was clean, but kind of a weird smell permeating the whole place. I mean it's a la Quinta in Lubbock, what do you expect. I'd stay here again.

If I could give less then one star, I would. NOT what I was expecting from LA QUINTA INN at all. I understand you get what you paid for so saying that I knew we had booked a very cheap rate however I have few issues about places been clean and price paid should not have anything to do with CLEAN PLACE. There was dust everywhere and when I say… everywhere was EVERYWHERE. Beds have dirty ugly looking stains that gave me the creeps. — IRON was pretty much 5% working not counting the point that the top was broken… — Blow dryer wow… let me just say that I wanted to put some gloves to grab it. — Pictures definitely 100 % don't do justice. Honestly people hanging out in the hallways gave me the impression it is a hotel where people leaves… like more like an apartment complex than hotel. — POOL… Well… it was mini vac trip and was honestly looking forward to spend time in the pool with my son, well wow… dirty and unsafe surroundings. Not really the type of person that likes to leave reviews but this Hotel needed one. People needs to know.

Check into my room and the door won't unlock (green light on lock comes on but it is jammed) The guy at the desk takes me back over to the room and says that if I "jiggle it a bit and push really hard" it will open. Sorry, as a woman traveling alone this is not an acceptable solution. "Maintenance just left so it's either this or a smoking room. " I've felt safer sleepin at rest stops on the side of the road.

Room was clean. Loved the pet area. Definitely worth the price!

My experience at this La Quinta Inn was basically how I expected it would be, not the most extraordinary motel out there, but a good value for how much your paying. They had better TVs compared to other motels in this price range, but that is really the only thing that sets them apart, it just your basic motel room.

For all the right reasons, I love this La Quinta, its strategic placement in Downtown Lubbock is the draw, the staff has been friendly over the course of the last decade. Highly recommend this hotel to any travelers.

The hotel was entirely unimpressive, it was in poor repair but was cleaner than I expected. I he area surrounding the hotel was seedy and I was forced to listen to loud music played by local residents well into the early hours of the morning. All in all my experience was exactly what I expected givent he low cost of the accommodations.

Rooms are decent, but the shower doesn't drain very fast. Wi-Fi didn't work at all the first night, and was a little slow afterwards. Breakfast is decent for being included. The outside of the building is pretty beat up.

Room smelled strongly of chemical cleaners. Was given a handicapped room because our room was not cleaned. Shower terrible unless you sat down on bench.

The breakfast coffee had really tiny cups. The bed was meh, but the room was clean. Smelled a lil smoky, like maybe it was an old smoking room.

The attendant that checked me in was friendly, but that's all I have to say about this place that is nice. The shower was dirty and leaked water. The sheets on the bed were stained. When I left I accidentally left my temperpedic pillow in the room. I called later that morning from Amarillo and let them know. I was supposed to get a call from housekeeping and never did. I called a couple of days later and asked the attendant if it had been turned in. She rudely told me it was never found and they aren't responsible. I told her I know I leftist t there and someone on housekeeping had to have found it, or taken it. She responded with, whatever you say man. I'll never stay here or at any other la Quinta. I would advise anyone against this dirty hotel with theives and rude people working there.

Three of my friends and I traveled there this past weekend, all in our mid twenties. None of us are familiar with Lubbock at all. We went for a concert at the Lonestar Amphitheater. It seemed to have been an unsafe part of town, and there was not any security monitoring the hotel either night we stayed. My friends and I constantly got disrespected by males that would just stand and gawk at us as we walked to our car. Also, the walls were as thin as paper. We woke up both mornings to a screaming baby and to children running up and down the outside stairs and halls. The door to the bathroom wouldn't shut all the way. The shower was so difficult to get at the appropriate temperature. The key cards to get into the room were very difficult to open the door. It took many times of playing with it to get the door to unlock. Therefore, I would conclude that I would not recommend staying at this location, or this part of town. We will be traveling there again next year and I will say I will never stay there again.

They have smoking rooms which is good if you like to smoke, but no ashtrays, the bathroom is dangerous! The floor is uneven from the sink area to the toilet and shower area, easy to trip. Be careful when you step in the shower, the top level of the tub is much higher than normal. If you are 6'2" or above you will hit your head on the ceiling in the shower! No fridge, no microwave, small room. One ply toilet paper. The bed is comfy though. No HBO and limited cable channels. $83 a night after tax.

The first room I was check into was not cleaned very well, if at all. The need sheets did not look changed and there stains on the bed. I went into the bathroom to find hair everywhere and a used bar of soap with hair all over it. The desk worker did move me to another room, but it was just as dirty. Stains all over the floor, so bad that I wore flip flops the whole time. I normally like this hotel chain, but this one is very dirty.

Came in at 630pm and was told rooms weren't ready yet. If check in is at 3, would there have been anything available?! Then the room I got smells like urine and mold. There's a reason why this place has low ratings. Spend the extra money and go somewhere else.

The vehicle driveway was blocked for no reason at all on 6/19/15. Made it difficult to load and unload from the taxi. Upon waiting for four hours to check into our room, the supposed "non smoking" room clearly had stale smoke in it. The bathroom door could barely open; you had to stand to the side or on top of the toilet to close the door (that didn't really close at all). The towels were not comfortable and the bathroom sink was not very clean. Only the bathroom outlet worked; hard to charge your phone or use any electronics when you're sharing a room. Because I left my purse on the left twin bed, the housemaids did not replace my sheets. Not really sure about that reasoning at all. I got to the "free continental breakfast" an hour before it was over and everything was picked over and not stocked. There was a loaf of bread, waffle mix (no syrup) and one bagel. I had to ask for extra plastic forks and knives and the woman behind the desk looked at me like I was out of my mind. All in all, this MOTEL is anything but a pleasant stay. I have stayed at plenty of la quinta's for business and travel and have never seen all of these issues at one stop. We attempted to try to change hotels before we even checked in but everything was booked. Word of advice: come with hand sanitizer, your own food/towels and maybe a candle. You've been warned.

The room was neat except horrible restroom! The door almost hit the toilet. And the front desk personnel wasn't the friendliest person ever. I wouldn't stay here again.

The room smelled gross and was attached to the room next door with a small hallway and a door that I could lock from the inside but I could hear my neighbors because the door wasn't very good at blocking the sound. When I came to check in they told me my room was not ready and no one was actually working on it and they were not sure how long it would be before it was ready. Check in was at 3 and I had an event (just down the street) at 4 but I expected to take a shower and iron my clothes before heading to the event. That didn't happen. Instead the front desk suggested getting ready in their public restroom. The actual stay wasn't awful but it wasn't exactly comfortable. Upon check in I was told breakfast would be over at 11. When I came to the lobby at 10:40 they had already taken everything out of the lobby. When I got home and checked my credit card statement is when the real issue started. They charged me for 3 rooms. Totally bogus. The man that answered the phone acted like I was stupid for being concerned and that it wasn't a big deal. They promised to refund the money, we will see how that goes. I suggest a different LaQuinta the other one across town looked much nicer when I drove by.

Booked through expedia, and then I was billed twice. Called about it, and was told it that the bill was a "prepayment" that would go away after 10 days. 10 days later it's still charged on my account. Called again, and now they'll remove it, but I should allow "up to 14 days". What is this?! Paypal doesn't screw you this bad. Look for another hotel.

If you give them money, they will let you spend the night.

We stayed here this weekend and this hotel is very old and it definitely shows. The carpets are very stained and our bathroom had pubic hair in the shower from the previous guests. We also had bugs/roaches. One thing I can give them credit for is very friendly/excellent staff at the front desk, both at check in and in the morning when we went down for breakfast. Unfortunately we will not be returning to this hotel.

I was hesitant about reserving a room at this location because of all the bad reviews. Folks, what are you talking about? My experience at this location was nothing but great. It was quiet, even though there was a dog show going on at the same time as the Panhandle Marathon, thus many dogs, and did not hear one bark the entire time I stayed there. My room was clean, spacious, toilet worked just fine. And the staff, extremely friendly. If I ever return to Lubbock, I know where I'm staying.

We are currently staying here, my only complaint is the strong smoke odor that seems to be coming from the bathroom, I'm assuming its from the people above us. This room is supposed to be smoke free. Overall its not bad, is very clean and beds are comfy. I would stay again.

Semi friendly staff, the only member of the staff that would acknowledge you was the maintenace guy. We had asked for a non-smoking room as soon as we entered the room had a strong odor of smoke. We called the front desk and they assured us it was a smoke free room, to be honest as I went into the lobby the staff was smoking in perhaps thier break and im sure there the ones that make the room smell. Pool closes at 10pm but yet people were swimming at 2am. Overall it seems the staff puts on fake smiles and refuse eye contact to not deal with any issues. Toilet handle was broken and roaches in the restroom. Word of advice spend those extra bucks for another hotel.
