Americas Best is where I stay every other weekend. Their service is amazing and the people are very helpful.

My employer paid for two rooms for me and two other employees. We had room to park our semi tractors in the parking lot. There were also some other trucks and trailers parked in the lot. The room was comfortable. The shower has a massage head. The hotel is close to the highway. I think there was a pool. The continental breakfast was pancakes, waffles, muffins, hot and cold cereal, potatoes, sausage, boiled eggs and biscuits with gravy.

About what you would expect from a 2 star motel. Room was fairly clean, towels were stained but quickly replaced. Very quiet for a good night's sleep.

Love the housekeeping staff here, polite hard working lady's. The breakfast is good pool clean. The missing star for some of the guest made it feel seedy at times.

Worse hotel experience ever check in Friday afternoon they gave us a corner room got inside the room smell horrible I always check the beds the sheets and linen was spotted and holes in blanket the bed skirt was ripped and the box spring was stain with who no what. Call front desk for a chair because internet photos shows a desk chair the lady said they couldn't provide one, so I took pictures of the room, ask for better accommodation so she moved us to a different room. Ice machine was broken, there was dirty mattress by the dumpers, that's a sign of bed bugs, with to check out on Sunday, no one at the front desk for 20 minutes, when I check out I spilt my bill, credit card and cash check my credit card, the whole amount was charged to my credit card and she got the cash also. If I could give a negative star I would, I just wanted a clean room and no hassle didn't happen, trying to talk to someone is impossible, tried to call and see why my credit card was charged the rude lady hung up on me, don't stay at this place if you want bad service and they steal your money. Can't even find a number for corporate, what a joke.

It started off nice then things changed the next morning when my wife woke up with 6 bites on her right lower leg from bed bug bites. Then to top it off I caught a cockroach in a cup that was in the curtains. I took the evidence to the manager and the let us out of our contract, which was good. I did contact Redlion cooperate office and I have not heard back from them. We went. 5 miles down the road To a Quality Inn and had a fantastic time. Very very clean.

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The bed had dried urine in it so it was obviously not cleaned before we stayed there. This was not a stain this was dried urine. The front desk person tried to put the blame on me for not noticing it. Really! I was not at fault here. I have never been in a hotel that wasn't cleaned before I entered. I asked for a new room and was told he could move me in three hours. If you are considering this hotel RUN! The new room he moved me to had cigarette burns on the blankets. Fluid on the walls! Not sure if it was coffee or something else. I asked for a refund of the first night and he offered nothing. Not even I'm Sorry! Blamed the fact that I used Priceline that he couldn't refund. I don't believe that is true.

Rooms look nice, but woke up covered in bug bites. Saw spiders in my room. Male employees where rude and not helpful. Breakfast is served for three hours but three days in a row was empty and not refilled a hour into it… I personally would never stay here again and would not recommend it to anyone.

It is ok. There weren't many People. I liked it.

Breakfast could be better but for the most part extremely laid back yes I would stay again wish pool was open.

We love staying here, we meet new people from everywhere. Super friendly.

I was just looking for a place to sleep after a long day driving, and this checked my boxes. Room was clean enough, no bugs, bathroom was clean but the shower had seen better days. Bed was pretty comfortable. They let me park my moving truck+tow dolly with my car across multiple spots so I didn't have to unload it all which was perfect. Breakfast in the morning was enough to get me going. If I ever passed through Lubbock at the end of a long day I'd stay here again.

Needs to upgrade rooms to all match as much as possible. First room they gave me was open when I got to it and someone had been in there using the bathroom and laying on top of the bed. Second room smelled better and had different stuff compared to the first. Not a bad stay for the price. Liked that I could park in front of my room.

Bed bugs in 102 we told them and they refused to put us in another room or give us back are money to stay somewere else. We slept in car so as not to be eaten. My sister was with me and her 2 little ones, we all got bitten and they could care less. Won't go again. Worst motel ever keep driving.

Very quiet clean rooms affordable.

Clean rooms and. Beds of course. What really makes these large rooms, are the large tubs that have been recently installed in every room.

I always take reviews with a grain of salt. Especially those who've only reviewed/ rated only a few places. In this case some of them may be true. We clearly got a room that has not been renovated. If renovated rooms exist. I can deal with the slightly shabby room, it's mostly clean although there are a couple dead bugs in the bathroom. You do get what you pay for. My biggest complaint is the stained cigarette burned sheets. I understand how expensive it is too update rooms, but sorting for some new linens for crying out loud. I'm happy we had our own bedding and used that to sleep on.

I, along with my wife, have been staying at this chain of hotel since my stepdaughter visited Texas Tech University in 02/16. We have been up the a few times more since she was admitted there in 08/16. The rooms have been good every time but when We stayed there 08/19 & 08/20 it was unsatisfactory. The check in person was not at the front desk. When checked into our room I noticed that the bed sheets and pillowcase were dirty if not stained. There was cigarette burns on the sheets and covers. There were three quarter size stains in front of the toilet. I made my complaints to the lady at the front desk. She was kind to bring me clean sheets later due to being short staff. I am going back up 09/30 & 10/01… if there are more issues then… I will chose another hotel.

Let's get this straight: this is a bad motel. However, as bad motels go, this one was alright. For the most part it is the average motel experience. Fairly clean rooms, sketchy safety, and one ugly motel. The Wi-Fi connection was pretty much non-existent in my room — unless you enjoy spending all day lounging at the check in desk, then you have all the Wi-Fi you want. Breakfast was good, which was a happy surprise. But the location was very difficult to get to. Overall, this place is okay, but I'd recommend to just reserve at the Days Inn across from here.

It is not fancy by any means! it is clean and nice (dated) great TV selection & nice flat screen. Nice breakfast good selection. Very friendly staff.

This is a nice hotel. They offer full breakfast, HDTVs in the rooms and a pretty nice pool. The rooms are nice and clean and the cable offers premium channels. The only dislike I have is that the location is far from any amenities and the manager Kenny Patel. He's extremely rude and unprofessional. So much so that I had to place a complaint with corporate. The email he sent me was slightly hostile and full or grammatical errors. Its disappointing because the rest of the staff works very hard at keeping the hotel in great condition.

I've stayed at this America's Best Value in a total of 3 times in the past 2 years or so. My son attended Texas Tech until 3 days ago, hence my 3rd stay at this hotel. I booked 2 rooms, one for my daughters and myself, and the other for my folks who came up to see my son graduate. We paid $65 a night for 2 double beds and my folks paid $60 per night for a king. The rooms are clean, not very big but the price is good and the continental breakfast is very good. You can't beat huge Texas-shaped waffles, eggs, gravy, potatoes & biscuits! And the coffee machine is on all day. They have juices, pastries & cereal as well. Not a very large seating area, but people move in and out pretty quickly! The front desk staff is nice and helpful! The only thing I think "might" be a slight problem for you light sleepers, is the noise from the highway. It is one of the main highways in and out of Lubbock, so you'll have the steady sound of the big rigs and the other traffic. All-in-all, it's easy to get in and out of, has a great breakfast, friendly, helpful staff, and great rates! What more can we ask for?

Blood stains, boogers, and bad housekeeping. For $65 a night I'm not expecting the Driskill, but I'd like the foam cups to be unused. Fresh gum on the wall, old blood on the curtains, what more could a girl ask for? The young girl at the front desk was shy but very nice. She gave me a few options for dinner and smiled, very sweet girl. When I asked her if I could be in a room out of the way she seemed awkward but when I explained I was traveling alone she gave a smile and found the furthest room they had. Blood on the comforter, used sheets with pubes, used towels in the bathroom. Awesome. Thought I was getting a deal, turns out I'm just getting what I paid for. Note in the bathroom says they'll charge you extra if you use the towels as "cleaning rags". So if I dirty a towel it costs extra but I've already spent $65 on a filthy room… I'd rather spend the extra $20 and get a clean room. Don't stay here, or if you do, bring your own sheets and towels.

It was okay for the price. Location was great. Rooms were clean. Okay for an emergency. Did not get eat breakfast but it did look okay.

Pool is closed for maintenance. It was a beautiful day and the pool looked nice but we wouldn't know forsure. We booked online and didn't say anything about the pool being shutdown. Decription says children's playground but there isn't one. Has an ajoining doors to the room next to you. The doors do not lock but there isn't a handle on the otherside. Still a bit creepy. Weird smudges on the wall and has drywall smashed into the floor. Bed look nice and bathroom looks clean.

Nice desk clerk, large room, lil updating paint would be nice. But all was very nice. Nice breakfast, clean rooms quiet and comfortable.

The rooms were clean and the carpet could have been cleaner but the breakfast was ok and the staff was wonderful. It was a short notice Booking and the price was right we stayed there for Special Olympics tournament in Lubbock Texas.

For a quick stop during a long road trip, this hotel was a great option. It was super affordable, clean, and surprisingly quiet and peaceful. The front desk staff at night and in the morning were really nice guys and were very helpful. There was a fully loaded hot breakfast, and though my husband and I didn't partake because we're vegan, I could appreciate the fact that there were lots of options. I ended up just adding some hot water to my muesli, and it was nice to have that option too. I definitely recommend this hotel if you just need a nice, quiet, and safe-feeling place to stay when passing through Lubbock.

They recently renovated the lobby… Which is nice… But the rooms definitely need some work. Bathrooms are decent. And it was a good continental breakfast. But the beds are way to hard. They all need updated decor and better paint. And better lighting. That being said. The staff was friendly, and the rooms were at least clean. But I don't think we will he staying there again. I feel like we could get something nicer for our money.

Nothing exceptional, good or bad. Maybe that's a good thing…

I had a reservation and have now been sitting outside waiting for someone to let me in to the hotel for 15 minutes. What a relaxing turn of events!

The gentleman that answered my questions on the phone was Roy. Roy was extraordinarily helpful and pleasant. Thank you. Hubby is now in his room and he is very very impressed. Spotless, with amenities like a fridge, microwave, coffee pot and flat screen tv. Very very happy.

My worst experience staying at a motel in recent memory. We arrived at about 11pm, tired from being on the road most of the day. Got into our room and saw a cock roach crawling on the night stand between the two beds. Killed it and a little while later saw another one crawling on the wall. Killed it and then saw another. All in all we killed about 7 or 8 before going to bed. Did not get a good nights rest because we kept wondering if there were any more roaches crawling around on our covers in bed with us. We woke up late because of it so we were late getting ready to leave the next morning when a staff person opened our locked door at 7 minutes after 11am to tell us that check out time was 11! This was the nastiest room I have ever been in. Will not ever stay there again under any circumstances!

Was stuck having semi truck worked on. Nice place to stay. They also saved the room for me when I foolishly thought my truck would be done.

This hotel absolutely exceeded my expectations, had a soap/2 in 1 shampoo dispenser, flat screen TV and microwave/fridge. The only drawback was the spider found in bathroom and the dead bug in the bathroom.

Decent rooms and prices! It seems like some rooms have been updated while others have not. My sisters' room needed new paint and furniture. Mine seemed to be more updated — a bigger tub, more comfortable beds (only defect was a hole in the ceiling). My parents had the suite, which was very nicely sized, however she didn't have any of the furniture we did (a fridge, table, or desk). Everything else was good, variety of items for breakfast. The pool wasn't open yet (and one of the employees said it hadn't been for the 7 months he's worked there), so if that's something you're really looking for I'd call ahead or look elsewhere.

Nice rooms, comfortable beds, good tub and shower and even an iron and board. Great breakfast including sausage was a big hit that we figured saved us $$.

The room was okay. The single king bed wasn't the best I've slept on, but definitely not the worst either. The mini fridge in our room was making noises so I finally just unplugged it. The walls are super thin and you could here the TV and guest from the adjoining rooms. We got the room on the cheap so I'm not too disappointed, but I doubt I'll stay here again.

Your webpage says that this Hotel has been recently updated, but not so! Carpet needs cleaning, the furniture in the room looks to have been very abused, needs replacing. Dust ruffles on the beds were stained, and in need of replacing. Sorry to say, but we won't be back, we stayed in desperation, being on the road from Colorado, and exhausted! We had a small dog and no other place in that area accepted dogs.

I was flying into town to visit my girlfriend and my flight from Denver to LBK was cancelled. I called the hotel to tell them the situation but the rude owner/manager wouldn't give me a refund. Plus, the one night I did stay, the beds were old and stiff, and even though it was a "non-smoking room", it smelled like smoke. You get what you paid for, even if you didn't spend the night.

Stayed here this past weekend 6/20/14 and 6/21/14. Before we even left home to arrive in Lubbock, they had already charged the pre-auth to our debit card, we hadn't even checked in yet. Most places charge the pre-auth upon check in, so I called them and stated we were paying in cash when we arrived. Got there and was told there was a $25 deposit for cash paying customers. Was not told that on the phone and did not want to pay it because they had not previously stated that on the phone. The manager checked us in around our midnight arrival and he was not willing to wave it even though they didn't state it previously. Finally make it to our room and walk in to see that the sink/counter in the bathroom is nearly detached from the wall. The beds were hard as concrete. I mean it literally felt like sleeping on the ground. Wake up next day to shower and the water pressure sucked and the blow dryer would just quit working in the middle of using it. If it even came on at all. Very outdated hotel! DO NOT RECOMMEND! Sorry.

I had an awesome experience here. It was my first time in Lubbock and the staff was friendly. Not to mention breakfast was awesome. I loved the fitness room. I would diffidently come stay here again.
