Reviews of Doubletree 3*
This hotel is dirty, the sinks don't work, the room flooded and the Elevators barely work. Worst experience ever!
I’d love to share a picture of the poop stains on the other queen bed in my room from Ramada. My daughter, 9 was so grossed out but we had no choice but to stay. They offered a $10 discount. Wow. They told us if we leave they will refund. Crazy.
I have stayed here before and so have my in-laws. This time it was my best friend from California. Lobby is beautiful, roomy, the bar is lovely when it is opened. There is a new little night club with some karaoke going on. Very fun staff and DJ. Slow help at the desk check-in. They were new… understandable. The first floor is under renovation and is a mess. The elevators are in serious need of some love. The above light covers are gone, the floors are dirty and one of the elevators is very slow to open. Our room was just fine on size. No bed bugs we checked and no bites in the am. Complementary water and coffee and there was an ice machine on our floor. Bed was extremely lumpy. Definitely needs to be replaced. The carpet has some sticking spots from like spilled drinks or food, needs some love. Bath room has three lights one was burnt out. The sample products smelt great. We didn't use though, had our own. Lastly the toilet had to be held down to flush and the tub had a non slip mat in it and that thing was dingy and gross. I have kids the take baths and that was not gonna happen in here. Almost forgot. The door had to be pushed or pulled closed because it would get stuck ajar if you are not careful. However, our key card worked everytime. One more thing, we wanted a large tub like in the photos but only got a regular one. Not sure why. Also we did not eat at the hotel because they do not do continental breakfast sadly.
This pass weekend me and my family stayed at this Radisson hotel in south Fort Woth. When we got to the hotel there was an event going on and we couldn’t find a park spot. My wife when to the front counter to ask where do we park and the staff help us get a parking spot. While our stay there three events going on and the place was packed but one of the manager Felipa was a big help when we left to get something to eat and no parking. Felipa was very helpful and found us a parking spot. We went down to look at the car show event that’s going on and it was free, a lot nice cars and vendors, pretty nice weekend after all. I would recommend this hotel and rooms were nice and clean.
My experience with the hotel wasn't pleasant. When I arrived I called the front desk multiple times because I couldn't get to the lobby from one of the buildings after parking in the back due to unavailability of parking spaces up front. Then when I finally go to check in and to the room, I noticed things were broken and didn't work. I was too tired to complain seeing as though it was after midnight at this point! My initial feeling walking through the halls was that of a motel vs a hotel. Definitely wasn't worth $100 a night! And then to top it off when I came to the hotel later… for my 2nd night the entire parking lot was full with vehicles that weren't for the customers who got a room. I was stuck out there for over a hour with no parking and couldn't even go upstairs to get my own things in order to LEAVE! After several complaints all I was given is we are working on it… so I just left and came back at 2 a. M. I have to drive back out of town early morning for a 9 hour drive!
They are under construction so there is a smell that is contributed to the work being done, that should be understandable. The rooms were very very clean and well taken care of. The staff that I had interactions with were polite and helpful… even when my SPD toddler decided that he was done for the day and attempted to let anyone around know it. They didn't make me feel like "that parent who can't control things", like cam happen. I defiantly will be staying here again in the future.
We went there to visit my in-laws who were staying at the hotel. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because there was no continental breakfast or coffee downstairs. But this was only because of Renovations that we're going on normally I would have rated it much lower because of this but not only did they give them a discount on the room because of this but the facility was top-notch! Beautiful room, good no, excellent service! I had absolutely no complaints and neither did my in-laws who stayed there. I would probably give it 6 stars is complete because I am sure it will be dazzling!
The hotel is currently doing renovation but that is not why the 3 star rating. First what I give a high rating on is the sleep number bed. They are great, especially sleeping with a partner who likes the bed at a different firmness. However, the hotel had general cleaning issues. Twice we entered the elevator and it was filthy, floor and walls. Rarely do I not lean on the bar or walls of the elevator but not here! Didn't want to touch anything. The front desk was messy looking. They do greet you when you walk in (if they are there). Staff is very nice but overall it didn't feel like I was staying at what should be the caliber of a Radisson, more like what would be expected with a $50-60 room hotel.
Beautiful hotel. The lobby is so spacious. Couldn't find an ice machine on 2nd floor, disappointed you have to pay to have breakfast here. Beds comfortable, thought bedspread was too heavy. Room was very clean. Had a great time.
I came here following the recommendation of a friend who is familiar with the area & honestly I don't understand others low ratings. This hotel offers a great rate, sure the hallways may be a little outdated and the rooms may be small, but they were very clean & well appointed. I was lucky to get a room away from the street so noise wasn't a problem. The staff was very friendly. For a budget hotel, I would definitely stay here again.
The wife and I stayed overnight for a conference we were attending. For the most part the hotel is just fine, only issues we had dealt with our room, the bed was one of those sleep numbers but the remote for it wasn't working so the bed was really hard and the toilet handle had to be held down while it flushed… Again, for a quick overnight stay it's fine.
We ate there as a training group from work and it was good. I loved my food, had lemonade which was sickly sweet and dessert was good. Waiters were great just seemed super busy.
Stayed in October and had no problems, clean room, and the breakfast was free both days. The first floor was being renovated but no big deal. Stayed this past weekend — 2/3 of the lightbulbs were out in the bathroom and one in the lamp, trash left in night stands, our room door didn’t lock, AC and sleep number bed remote didn’t work. After 2 hours of them trying to fix AC (late at night), the maintenance man told us we were relocated to another room. No apologies from front desk. Also breakfast now is $10 for the same food that was free a few months ago aka bagels, bread, nothing worth $10. I will never stay here again. Not to mention first floor is STILL being renovated and the back doors to the parking lot don’t work?
The hotel room was really nice and spacious. Me and my 8 yr old went for a spring break sleepover, with intentions of using the Indoor pool. When we arrived around 5, the pool area was super packed with like 2 adults and like 10 kids… hmmm too crowded… we left. We ended up getting up early and hitting the pool around 10.00 a. M and it was empty, thank god! Overall nice, not worth me spending 100 to use pool for like an hr or so before checking out.
Spent 2 nights here because training my husband had was in same hotel. Pros: Lobby area nice Comfy Beds Great ac Nice size refrigerator Pool Price Cons: Hot tub not working Workout room has no ventilation or fans and wipes for equipment were empty. 1st floor was very dirty and smelled awful. Doors not secure around building No pets allowed although saw several on floor Smell of marijuana on 2nd floor Very dirty hallways on second floor We stayed on second floor and it was nicer than first with exception of hallways Did not use bar but looked nice. Did notice people hanging out in their cars around back not sure what that was about. No one parked back there.
They need to get better workers for housekeeping. Don't clean rooms good if you're staying for a few days and I returned to room at 2pm today and room wasn't clean and housekeeping never came after calling 4 times to front desk. I finally had to go to front desk and get towels around 7 pm to shower. I stay at this location frequently and always have problems with housekeeping. I ended up putting dirty towels and trash out of rooms myself. If you don't ask for clean linen, they will just make beds. Housekeeping makes me give low rating.
I gave the Radisson 1 star simply because the photos online are misleading as far as presentation goes. It os definitely over priced as we stayed on a weekend. The wing we were placed in was under renovation and looked like it should cost $25 a night at most to stay there. Not to mention the front desk man our first night never smiled as we checked in or at all for that matter. Definitely a waste of money if you are spending $100 a night please don't book here. Wish I had taken proof photos. This was January 25 and 26 2018. Location is near the Miller factory. I also need to mention housekeeping was on strike because they did not get the raises they were expecting. This actually was disclosed to me by one of the workers.
The room was good. The price was good. The desk was helpful until the 3rd day when Margarita refused to continue our reservation without additional deposits. They did fix it however and it is great for the price on the big rooms.
Nice rooms, very clean good attention, nice view of the bedrooms.
The staff here really went the extra mile to accommodate our early arrival into town. Thank you so much. The hotel is also very comfortable and amazing for what you pay.
Better than I expected. Staff is nice, friendly, and helpful. Rates are reasonable. Leaves a bit to be desired as far as site maintenance goes: broken side doors, etc. Overall well worth what you paying and not a bad option if you'd like to stay in this area.
It's clean, it's nice, it's good design, and the workers are good.
The only thing good was the room. Service and staff is really bad. It starts at the check that takes forever. There was a second person assisting the receptionist. I don't know what was his function but it seems he was there just to look. Access to the room is a bit strange. You cross a long dirty corridor to access the elevators. Well for few nights I could have managed not so big deal. But here I realize they didn't return my driver's license. When I inquire the next morning it's the same guy who was there with the receptionist last night. He doesn't remember and asks me who checked me in. So he is trying to find in some places. He doesn't know. The desk is a bit messy with many documents around. He is trying to call the person she doesn't recall. At the end he was unable to find. How this person who checked me in can't remember? She should have contacted me in my room to let me know. And how can you ever loose such important document? I still can't believe they don't find. It can't have disappear! And it's a document not a valuable there is no reason for someone to keep it! I really don't understand but I realize that this property has a big problem with their team. I remember the name of the person who checked me in so I'm gonna report her to the manager. But this situation is absolutely not acceptable that they don't know where my driver license can be. In other hotels would have returned me in a hour. I really don't recommend staying at this hotel!
Staff was friendly and the hotel itself seemed to be in a decent area. The room was very clean and comfortable, we had everything we needed for a quick one-night stay. I was a little put off by the renovations going on. To get to the elevators, you have to go through a long hallway with the carpet ripped up, exposing the concrete underneath and it was dimly lit. Also, our room was on the end of the hallway next to the stairway access, so we got to hear everyone going in and out of it until 3-4am. A minor inconvenience, but still made it a little difficult to get good rest. Other than that, everything was fine and I would still recommend as the facilities still seem to be clean and functional. They get a 7/10.
Despite the ongoing construction/remodeling the service was good. Not sure if there is a service elevator for the cleaning crew, but they seem to all be hogging the limited space in the two elevator banks available. The pool and hot tub are clean, gym was a decent size and the warm breakfast was good enough. Front desk service was excellent.
We showed up a few minutes after check in and the room wasn’t even ready. We weren’t upset expecting to wait a few minutes, but 45 minutes pass and we watch them check in many other guests and hand them room keys. We ask the man at the desk for management and he looks super confused and instead tells us that housekeeping is under staffed. We finally get the room keys and as we walk to our room we notice that the entire first floor is gutted and stinks. The room initially smelled like a cloud of air freshener, as we freshened up to leave, the scent changed to that of a dirty diaper. We were in a hurry to leave, being set back almost an hour at the check in desk, and got back late so we didn’t even have the opportunity to complain. The only thing this room really had to offer was a sleep number bed and it was broken. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.
The stay was amazing and worry free! I stayed here for a single night, and got one of what seemed the newer rooms. It was in the fifth floor which made it seem very calm. I work in a hotel myself and I did a little inspection before we decided to stay and it was clean even when we moved the furniture a bit. I can sincerely say this hotel was worth the money, just make sure to ask for the rooms in the fifth floor they seemed to be the cleanest.
Very nice place. Clean. Lots of room. Felt welcome and comfortable. My first time staying at a Radisson but I'll definitely come back.
This is a decent hotel. They are currently updating the carpet in the hallways. That doesn't bother me because it lets me know that the owners care about the property. Very convenient to travelers on I20 in Fort Worth. Good value.
The place doesn't live to the name and the expectations. There are bugs in rooms and the 2 nights I spent here I had the bugs eating me. Customer service is appalling. As an example, I asked for someone to fix me the image on the TV as the picture was breaking down and I waited 24 hours and no one came and no feedback. Even my friend was refused a drink at the bar.
The staff is WONDERFUL! The hotel had a pipe burst recently so there are some issues sometimes but nothing major. Because of the area there are some sketchy characters but not too bad.
Absolute Nightmare! To begin our experience at the front desk it wasn't notified to us untill after payment that the swimming pool, along with the entire first floor was water damaged and was undergoing construction. Our sleep number bed wasn't in working condition, do I even mention our bedroom wall of which looked as it had water damage, although it's almost impossible considering we stayed on the 4th floor. The bathroom shower was DISGUSTING!. The bottom of the shower had a black filthy film to it. Do not stay here way better options within the city.
Vanessa had me and my wife wait thirty mins cause she couldn't get the keys made for the first guess checking in and when it came to us I guess there card reader didn't work or what not but then said we can pay cash but with a 100$ deposit after she had us waiting now thirty mins plus! I will never go to this radisson or tell anyone too. Vanessa then told me she worked there 12yr but didn't know how to make a room key and when I asked a question she ignored me to speak to her co-worker about another computer needing ink for the printer! Again Vanessa she not be the night audit senior cause she knows nothing and I have worked as a night audit in college and was not that hard and if had a issue had manager to call! Didn't get to stay and paid double somewhere else and glad they know how to make room keys! I have a video of her just standing around and talking to co-worker! I will be posting it on every social media so that everyone know how not to go there!
Coffee 247. Great service. Mold on shower ceiling. The large mirror fell while we in bed. They came right up to make sure it didn't break so it wouldn't cut us. The meeting rooms are pretty spacious.
The room itself was clean with super comfy beds and pillows. But the entire building needs a renovation. Small indoor pool none of the ice machines worked and a weird waterfall and river inside the reception area. Really dark mouldy and needs updating. Also weird parking, entrance and the security features did not work (key to access the building) anyone could walk in at any time. The entrance to the rooms was separate from where you checked in.
Growing up we had a Radisson on the island and we absolutely loved it as a family. My father did consistent business with the hotel. So when I was told that was where we were going to be staying I was excited… over a two week span not so much, there were multiple problems while I stayed there including- -fire alarm going off and the entire hotel having to evacuate at 3 in the morning -half of the things in the gym didn't work — when I took my children to the pool there was a clear over load of people -I had to literally go down the desk two days in row to ask to have my room cleaned. So that memory of the "Radisson hotel as a child, definitely wont be the same.
Easy to get to by car, free parking in front of the Hotel. Very spacious lobby. Gym and swimming pool with indoor hydromassage and free Wi-Fi.
The rooms are very nice and clean. Recommended.
We just returned home from a one night stay. We have never stayed at a Radisson, but I think we will always try to now. The room was priced great, the service was great and we had not one problem. The pool was very clean. We stayed on the 6th floor and had a nice view. We also arrived about an our early before check in which is at 3 and they got us right up to our room. Nice clean place. We will return.
The rooms were decent size, nice beds and feels comfortable and they had japenese style/scents for the shampoo and conditioner and body wash which was really neat. The lounge area was really nice with a water fountain and a bar and restaurant inside the price was a bit high but that's to be expected, they have a mini "marketplace" where you can get drinks and snacks at a decent price. The only downside is you have to be 21 to stay there.
Good online discount. I loved it except I felt like I was going to be charged for anything I used. And no free breakfast wtf! NoT COOL. The rest was amazing look and feel. Saw one lik cockroach tho.
Stayed on sixth floor and had to wait nearly half an hour for hot water. Overpriced for what's offered, even charges $10 for a cheap buffet breakfast. Other than the aforementioned, the room was clean and fairly nice, building is old but updates have been made. Staff wasn't rude when I called about the water issue but didn't seem like it was a big deal either. Overall, at just over $100 per night for a single bed it's not worth the stay.
I have stayed here on a few occasions with me pet. They decided to change their pet policy after I booked my last trip to the DFW area. So instead of getting a hold of me first, management calls to let me know that they are charging me 3 times as much and they lock me out of my room. She never once told me my door was locked over the phone, and then proceeds to place the blame on me. She did, however, take the fees off of my account. When a business makes a customer upset, especially one that has spent thousands of dollars within a few months, you should try to fix it. Not place blame on the customer. The bar and restaurant are amazing, but the hotel is under terrible management.
Alot of remodeling was done so it's pretty nice especially for 50.00 bucks, yes there is cable and it works, no bugs or anything, rooms are upgraded, informative staff and friendly, they call to make sure that you are satisfied, no complaints.
Lots of potential, but rough area, aging hotel, and not very clean. If the new owners spend some money fixing it up, it could be a really nice hotel. Reason for more than 1 star is the employees were very nice!
Not a great experience, booked a double queen room, hotel over booked. Plus the hotel was not as expected. Ice machine only on 5th floor. Food-eh.
Had booked a room, never even actaully stayed. Was told when we booked the room we wouldnt be charged anything until we stayed. Our card was charged a couple says later, would actualy have been fine except when I called, they didnt have our room booked and argued about the charge. Long story short, got out money back and cacelled the room, and 4 days later we are charged for the room again even after we had cancelled (had free cancellation by the way) Working on getting our money back, but its the same story as before. Arguing saying they never charged it. Would never deal with them again and wished we never had in the first place.
Unbelievable! They have NO TV all week and weekend due to "Changing Providers" this is totally unacceptable for a major hotel to allow this to happen. We were not offered a discount, only "We're sorry, it's too bad, but you don't have to stay here"! Re-routing our trip and booking another hotel was not an option. I had to beg to get a discount for the lack of TV, and the best that they would do was $7! Truly Unbelievable.
Really the whole wkn with no cable, one elevator, And of course no towels in the pool area ugh.
HORRIBLE! I was billed twice for my room. The staff was rude and was not trying to help me either. Then we went to our room. It was supposed to be a non smoking room. You could smell the cigarette smoke from the previous guest. Hairs in the tub, no hot water, furniture was dusty. Went to the front desk again with the problem and the front desk staff told me I could go find another hotel. The night staff was night trying to trying to fix our problems. Then later that night the fire alarms went off due to someone smoking in there room. Horrible horrible. The only reason we stayed because of the event we were apart of was at this hotel. Everyone in our party and some sort of problems. I will be emailing the owner and I called the corporate number.
Wish I would have read reviews before staying here. No hot water. The response I got was to let the water run. After 10 minutes I gave up. Letting water run down the drain for that length of time is wrong. I stayed here before but it was not Best Western at that time. We had no problems with it then but I don't think I'll be back.
Edited. The front desk manager Katrina was helpful. She ended up giving me some reward points to compensate for the problems listed below. They are waiting on parts for the pool/hottub and DirectTV needs to replace the dish so the channels will work. ****First the pool and jacuzzi were not working. Then when we went to return to our room the elevator wasn't working. And also the TV in the room was not getting even half the channels it was supposed to. Called the front desk about the TV and they said they would call back and never did. Only good thing is the bed. Its a sleep number bed and extremely comfortable or this would have been a ONE STAR REVIEW.
My three day experience was bad due to cold showers and the hotel tried to bill me for two-rooms (when I reserved one). The double billing issue resolved easily, however, I have to still wait and see if it's going to hit my card twice — — I won't be surprised if it does because this outfit has some serious issues. Regarding cold showers — — the staff failed to take action quickly when I called about the issue, and I didn't get to shave and shower before the wedding I was in town for (the simple things, right? ). It's too bad, because the hotel otherwise had a decent appearance and decent comfort. The staff gave me "the run around" and one worker (who I witnessed speak English earlier) replied in only Spanish to me when I was trying to communicate about the issue. Her step for help was to hand me a phone to call the front desk. Which the front desk worker who said 20 minutes before, "I'll have the 2nd floor staff let you into another room" then changed her tone, and said, "I'll be up in a little bit to see if any rooms are clean, because we don't know if there is hot water in the other rooms, or if we have any other clean rooms. You can just wait for the water to warm up, but I'll come by your room after I check around. " — needless to say, this worker never stopped by my room (at least, within the next 20 minutes, because I was going to a wedding — — that flat out pissed me off.
Oh boy. Where do I start. To start off, we had high hopes for this hotel. It was converted from a Hilton and the lobby seems nice but this is where the deception starts. We had about 100 people staying here for our wedding and most of our guests ran into problems. Here are a few: faulty fire sprinkler system in room that goes off and floods the room, phones in room do not work, elevator randomly stops working so you have to take the stairs down, there is no exhaust circulation system for the bathrooms so when you go number 2 the smell lingers for hours and hours, keycards lose their magnetization, there are HUGE cockroach size bugs by the breakfast area. We complained about the cockroach problem by the breakfast area and we were rudely told they were not cockroaches but a different type of bug. Listen, I don't care what it is! Bugs should not be by my food and I want at the minimum an apology not an argument that I don't know my bugs. Completely ridiculous staff, especially the front office manager, Katrina. There were many other problems as well but I think you get the gist. Goes without saying we will not be staying here again. Stay far, far away from this dump.
We enjoyed a relaxed evening in Fort Worth and the atmosphere at the Best Western was a nice change of pace. We had attentive service and enjoyed the luxury of close parking, business access and a very clean room.
First. I'm not an employee writing one of those bogus, everything is wonderful reviews. Nor am I the hotel down the street hammering it. I stayed at this place two nights ago. It's a former Holiday Inn and we found the room very clean and comfortable. The fan on the AC had a little wobble but it didn't bother me enough to want to pay another twenty bucks for a hotel room. We slept past the closing time of the breakfast buffet so I can't comment on it. There are no restaurants or convenience stores on the same side of the Interstate as the hotel but many are nearby. The front staff, coming and going, were more than pleasant and efficient. We needed an early arrival check-in and these folks provided it. I was more than satisfied with our stay at this establishment.
Horrible this hotel sucks. They moved us several times because something was always wrong with the room. Their breakfast was good but other than that. The service sucks here.

During our stay the fire alarms went off between 2 and 3 am, two separate times. After getting up the next morning, the elevators were not working. After calling the front desk to ask about the elevators, they stated that they had not been rebooted yet. It had been six hours since the fire alarms went off. No signs anywhere letting people know to use the stairs. An elderly man in a wheelchair was stuck on the fourth floor and waited for an elevator for 15 minutes before being informed that they were broken. My room keys would only work one time before I had to go get new ones. Just inconvenient all the way around. Also, our sheets had brown stains on them.
