Very reasonable rates. Close to Marfa and Marathon. Evening guest reception in the lobby offering beer, wine sodas and finger food. Free breakfast in the mornings. Nice clean rooms and bathroom. Overall a great place in the middle of no where!

Beds are comfortable and everything is really nice. I think they have a roach problem though. There was one in our room and outside the hallway. I also had two bugs in the bed (not bed bugs). I believe the roach problem is being treated because each time they were on their backs dying. Just thought I’d leave a review for those with small kids, I have an infant who crawls and that was of concern to me.

Clean comfy bed, good coffee, good cookies.

It was pleasant, overall good. My sibling stayed here for a few nights when she was visiting and had a good experience. The room was clean, breakfast was good, and the pool was fun.

Very nice hotel chain. Customer service was great, and I understand the area. Was not greeted as a diamond Hilton member. Everything else was very good!

We did make a mistake and brought our dog the hotel. We were in the room maybe ten minutes when the front desk called and told me there is a 250 dollar fine for the dog. We took all our things out of the room, as we had not even unpacked, and I went to the front desk to turn in our keys. The man who I gave them to told me they would not charge us for the room. Well, they did, and when I called multiple times nothing happened. So we ended up paying for a room we never used. I will never return to this dishonest place.

Nice, clean hotel with great breakfast and good managers happy hour. Hotel is away from the city center, but there are a couple of restaurants near by. Ample parking. Overall good choice for both business and family traveler.

Recently stayed 3 nights in Room 221. Reception people very friendly and the breakfast was good. Only complaints would be about the room cleaner. Our bed was never made up in the normal way. The maid would pull the sheet and covers up but never straight or tucked in. Pillows were tossed near the headboard but never fluffed, straight or lined up. The room coffee cups that we used were never replaced and we had to go to the reception area to replace them ourselves. The ice bucket was never emptied after our use and had melted water from the ice cubes left in it every day. Perhaps we just got an untrained or uncaring maid but that was really our only complaints about the place. The hotel is a good two hour drive from Big Bend. Be sure to try the coffee shop in Marathon if you are passing through.

Very friendly staff, they make you feel very welcomed. Rooms are clean and the bed is very comfortable. Breakfast is very good, omelets are great!

We just checked out of this hotel earlier today. It was a GREAT stay! Spacious and squeaky clean rooms. Linens and pillows are fresh and comfy. All electronics work like a charm. The management greeted us at check in with a bag of bottled water. They serve fresh baked cookies in the afternoon, cocktails and munchies in the early evening in the Lobby. In the morning they offer a Generous Breakfast Buffet! But it's not all about the food! They were helpful with information and meeting ALL our special requests. LOVED it!

Love this hotel. Manager Jeremy has greeted us like family and remembered our names after the first time. Very clean and great breakfast.

I've been staying here for years, never had a problem. It's always been my first choice when staying in the area.

This was a quick getaway and they were the only hotel who had a room available. Glad about that but I do wish the sofa bed was more comfortable. 2nd day we pulled out the mattress and put it on the floor. That made it a lot easier to sleep on.

Stayed here for Christmas. Friendly staff. Rooms and the lounge were clean and spacious with lovely decorations. The breakfast buffet was the highlight of my whole trip. The fitness center was really nice too. Would strongly recommend this place to stay if you are traveling to Big Bend National Park.

My Husband and I stayed at this Hampton Inn a couple of weeks ago, and it was fabulous! Very nice, great breakfast set up, very nice people working there. I left my favorite red jacket there in a closet, and after looking everywhere, it dawned on me that I might have left it at the hotel. I called and Jennifer found it and mailed it to me and I got it within 3-4 days. Blew me away! You rock Jennifer! We go every November, and we will always stay at this Hampton Inn.

The rooms are the same dependable quality that Hampton is known for, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Everyone has been a delight, and breakfast has been delicious. If you're looking for a place to stay while touring the McDonald Observatory or Big Bend, this is a great option.

No rest or shower. Contractors were installing a new door and ran power tools until midnight. Warm (at best) water. Complaints got no results. Pay a bit more and stay elsewhere, if you need rest or a shower.

We stayed at the Hampton Inn Alpine due to its relatively close proximity to the Big Bend National Park. As we were a group of five we stayed in a larger room with two queens and a fold-out sofabed. The lobby was inviting with a nice lounge adjacent that had plenty of seating with convenient access to outlets and usb charging spots. In the afternoon and night time hours there was always fresh cookies and fruit flavored water to munch on. The selection which ranged from waffles, cereal, muffins, biscuits, yogurt, omelets, oatmeal, fruit, etc. For breakfast was very satisfying and appreciated for the amount hiking we did each day out at Big Bend. The room weas well equipped with a TV, safe, refrigerator, a couple sinks, a desk, etc. Lighting was good with options for both lamps and overhead ceiling lights. Rooms were cleaned and maintained every day well. Though we didn't use it, there was a nice little fitness room and an indoor pool that looked very good. I would highly recommend the Hampton Inn in Alpine to those visiting Big Bend. The little gestures such as the sack lunches that the guests could grab when they leave for a day of hiking really stuck with me and made my time their enjoyable with my friends.

I've always loved staying at Hampton inn. It's a very nice n clean place to stay! Awesome beds and pillows! Breakfast is Great! Sooo much to pick from! Lol! Swimming pool n hot tub are very nice! Grand kids had a blast! Seeing them enjoy themselves is what matters to this grandma! Hampton Inn "Rocks! " Said my grandkids!

I was only in Lobby area, it was very nice. Coffee was at reception along with chilled fruit infused water, refreshing in this Texas heat.

The service was great… Even though we had to switch rooms due to a distinct smell, they accommodated us quick and easy.

I had a great stay at this place! The hot tub was delightful, as was all of the staff. We actually got snowed in while there and had to stay an extra night, which was fine with me. The breakfast was very good as well. No complaints!

Amazing hotel… we stayed for 2 nights and were thrilled. Great pool/hot tub area. The breakfast was amazing for a hotel and they even have snacks for evening time. We had a 3rd floor room and the gentleman moved is to the 1st floor bc we had kids and it was easier. Amazing customer service and very friendly staff. Highly recommend this hotel.

Jeremy at the front desk is awesome! Breakfast here is one of the best of any hotel I have stayed at. Really nice and lots of choices with attention to little details. I love this hotel.

Hotel was modern and clean throughout. Evening reception and morning continental breakfast were very convenient. Breakfast food was good. Room and bathroom were clean on my arrival. Bed was clean and comfortable. All the cups were wrapped individually in plastic, which was a nice touch for hygiene. I also liked the 2 USB ports by the bed for charging devices.

I've been coming to this hotel for years for work. Nice place, and I sure rack up the points by staying here so often.

I stayed here 12-26-2015_12-29-2015 while traveling to West Texas with a friend. We were both amazed at how friendly the staff was — very accommodating. Also, the breakfast was a nice surprise. They were extremely busy due to a snowstorm coming in and people being stuck at the hotel for a little while. They did a very good job at keeping up. I've come to find that many of these hotels claiming to have hot tubs and pools do not have ones in working order when I arrive. That was not the case at this place. Good temp, strong jets on hot tub, and the pool was heated as well. Now, this place could use a little updating to soundproof the rooms a little more but I realize that's a major overhaul though and looked past it. Overall, had a great stay and would love to come back!

From when I had to change my reservation twice, to the time we checked out, the staff and service were more than good, they were excellent! The beds were very comfortable, the room service staff did a very good job and were always friendly and polite. The room was very clean. The morning buffet was quite good with a varied selection and the food service staff at the buffet were helpful and friendly. Front desk personnel Jennifer and Jeremy were more than helpful, friendly and polite, they seemed like they truly enjoyed their jobs and helping their guests. They provide free wireless, too. We had a great stay, and will definitely go back. This may sound like an advertisement for this Hampton, but it is not. We just thought it was great, and the staff made us feel very much at home.

I did not like staying here one bit. The front desk clerks are so rude. I myself perfer staying at the ramada they have a very wonderful staff there make you feel so very welcome cheaper room rates for the same type of rooms a home made breakfast and dinner complimentary they also have a full wet bar. Their stay will do anything they can do to make your stay as pleasurable as possible.

I've stayed at many hotels and I've not been more impressed than I was with this one. From the minute we walked in the door to when we checked out, it was an all around postive experience. The service was excellent, the room was not simply clean and comfy — it had plenty of space and was decorated very comfortably. The bathroom was very nice and clean. The bed was comfy. The wireless internet was speedy. The breakfast selection was the best I've had at any hotel! Eggs (boiled as well as scrambled) and bacon, cereals, fresh cooked hot oatmeal with sugar, cinnamon and sliced almonds for toppings (as well as the instant oatmeal option), waffles, fresh fruit, yogurt, bread, coffee, tea, juice, milk and I'm sure some other things I can't remember. This was a great hotel and a great value to boot.
