What a ridiculous experience this was. I made the reservation with my government/military ID and received a confirmation of my stay. However, when I attempted to check in, I was informed they overbooked the rooms and that I would have to stay elsewhere. They offered to put me up at an awful Best Western down the street. After they had informed me my room was non-existent, a friend I had advised where I was staying showed up and both their rooms were confirmed even though they had just made their reservations a few hours before. I asked the clerk why had mine been cancelled while my friends were still valid, there was no response. The truth is they somehow overbooked the rooms and preferred to cancel the room with the lower government/military rate and honor later reservations booked at a higher, regular rate. Old fashioned corporate greed, with an unfriendly government/military overtone. By the way, the manager never once showed the respect to come tell me personally. Ended up having to drive to Nashville, would never recommend this place of business.

The Double Tree in Murfreesboro, TN is clean, beds are fairly comfortable. However, there are a few issues. First of all, the walls are very thin, so you can hear other conversations in the adjoining rooms. There is a frig in the room, but no microwave. Half the time, the cable would stop working in the middle of a show. Internet is spotty, not sure if they provide it, as there was no mention of it at check in. The restaurant in the lobby is a little pricey. It's $11.00 for a burger, $ 9.00 for a glass of wine, just to give you an idea. The staff is very friendly. I have never stayed at a Double Tree before, but I can definitely say that I've stayed in better places. Rooms are high priced for them to not have microwaves in the rooms.

This is an older property, but don't let that fool you. Nice rooms! When all the Nashville hotels fill up and they do regularly, then drive down to Murfreesboro and stay at DoubleTree! Just take the easy-peasy drive down I24 East for 30 minutes and you are there! ;-)

Would’ve been nice if the manager wasn’t rude. The front desk staff didn’t greet. Actually stood at the front desk while he was doing whatever on the computer. He looked at us twice before asking what we wanted. I asked the house keeper if I could get ONE extra wash cloth and she told me that she can only give me what goes in the room. All I needed was one extra wash cloth. Smh.

We stayed one night for a change of pace. The amenities were decent. The service while checking in and out was okay. However, we were charged a $160 fee because "the room smelled like smoke". We never once smoked in the room and I actually have the clerk stating on camera that there was no physical evidence of someone smoking in the room. All he kept saying was there was a smell. Well I'm sorry, but smoke travels. The guests next door could have been smoking, or better yet one of the room attendants. We asked to speak to the manager and magically no one was available. I called later on and was advised that the general manager denied the request. I don't understand how that can be! I will now get my credit card company involved because this is a travesty!

Our daughter, had us stay here overnight while we were in town. Rooms not as modern but yet a clean room with all we needed to be comfortable. Breakfast bar was awesome. Best one we have seen in quite a while.

I visited the Double Tree in Murfreesboro for a professional event. We were in the conference room to the left of the restaurant/bar in the hotel. We had salad as the first course, salmon on a bed of couscous with green beans as next course, and chocolate cake for dessert. The second course dish was too adventurous in my opinion. The salmon had onions that tasted pickled and long strands of what my colleagues and I decided was soggy dill on top. The couscous was the most underwhelming of the dish. It was dry and bland. I would have preferred unseasoned rice rather than the couscous. Last, the green beans were the least risky part of the dish and were actually pretty good. The service was good, but the food was disappointing.

The hotel was close to the interstate and easy to find. The rooms were nice, clean, and comfortable. The staff was okay, but I feel they could be more pleasant. It doesn't take much effort to smile and say hello.

The hotel is worn and out-dated. I couldn’t get a comfortable temperature in my room (REALLY humid, too hot, or too cold). The room definitely could’ve been cleaner, and housekeeping left only a quarter roll of toilet paper! The elevator look like it was falling apart. I don’t even want to talk about the staff! From the front desk, to housekeeping, to the servers in the breakfast area, I couldn’t get any warm, friendly and or professional service from start to finish! The breakfast buffet had a good variety of food to choose from, just don’t ask for anything special! Because the server will publicly degrade you in front of other guests!

I love this hotel. My dad took me to Nashville for his music business. We visited the Parthenon, downtown Nashville, the taco festival (sadly they ran out of tickets), and the centennial Park. The hotel is very warm and friendly. They offer us hot new batch of cookies.

My husband and I stopped at this hotel as our midway point going home for the holidays. We were pleased with the hotel. We didn't get to check in until late, but we were greeted with a welcoming staff. The bed was comfortable and our room was clean. I have no complaints.

So clean and friendly! Pool, comfortable queen beds, and small fridge in rooms. It also has a very affordable indoor restaurant.

Hotel was excellent. Greeted nicely when we arrived with hot cookies. Beds were comfortable and breakfast the next morning was the best hotel breakfast I’ve ever had. Would make it a point to stop there again.

Nice cozy room and it was also clean. The staff was very helpful and also found good conversation at the restaurant. I think it's safe to say that I can't say anything negative about this location. Compared 2 my normal choice for the budget this place was exceptional.

The hotel staff was most friendly and courteous. Our room was clean and comfortable. Once we retired for the night, it became most apparent that the beds were the best accessory in the room. Oh but they were comfortable. My wife didn't want to get up the next morning. The place has a pool, but I didn't have an opportunity to try it out. It was inviting. Note: breakfast is available but is not complimentary. One suggestion to the hotel is that they should consider night lights in the bathroom so that one doesn't have to blind themselves if using it during the night. Comfortable stay.

Large group stayed here for area dance competition. Our room was not clean with toilet having not been flushed. Ant infestation on multiple floors. Our room was on 3rd floor. Ants visible throughout the bathroom. No compensation offered other than giving points for the inconvenience. Won't be back here.

Excellent place to stay, long or short term. Friendly, accommodating staff. Clean, comfy rooms. Great food, selection & taste. Definitely recommend!

Nice hotel, very friendly staff. Restaurant and full bar on site. Convenient to other restaurants and shopping. Rooms could stand some updating but they are clean. Good location not far from I-24.

AC was leaking but it was fixed in a timely fashion. Room is on the small side but comfortable. Bathroom is a little dated but towels are thick and fluffy. Service is decent but I was given a 3rd floor room despite requesting a low floor. No breakfast except in the restaurant but that is served until 11 which is a plus. Overall not bad but not great either. Next time will likely go back to the Hampton Inn.

Great cookies, amazing pool, and super friendly staff. Wanted to stay here for 20 years. Totally worth the wait! Won't be long before we go back for another staycation!

They overbooked and gave away our room. We needed two queens because there were 4 of us and they "upgraded us to a single king room… And then ran out of roll out beds because of a football team that booked up all of their rooms. So two had to sleep on the floor. Don't worry though we were given two blankets to get comfortable. Not my idea of luxurious.

Staff was very nice and professional. The conference we attended had a lunch provided and the food was delicious. The rooms were large enough to stay in for a couple of nights! Great experience!

Convenient enough but housekeeping needs improvement and the facility is showing its age. Breakfast is not as special as other reviews indicated. Mixed review of front desk staff. I initially walked up to the counter where two females we're talking. They just ignored me and continued their conversation. It would have been appropriate to at least acknowledge my presence. Rude. Eventually the young male (who was actually working) finished with another guest and asked if he could help. I won't be back. Better options in the area…

I'm a Hilton's Honor Silver/Gold member and didn't get my Free Breakfast. The lady at the desk claimed it was due to my Government discount. I've always gotten a Free Breakfast no matter what price I paid. Why have an Honor system, if you don't honor your people who are loyal! The manager was standing there and didn't say anything either, so I just went to another spot and enjoyed my breakfast. I've made Diamond a few times so I've stayed enough to know how the Hotel is suppose to operate.

Just left from a weekend convention. Wonderful staff and facilities. Can't say enough about Lyndsey and Gretchen in the Bar — they were so accommodating for Fluffy and her nightly friends. The only thing I didn't care for was the flavored water that had the lavender in it — it looked and tasted like grass seed. Look forward to coming back soon.

There was a employee standing at the door waiting to greet me as I arrived. He walked me to the location of the event and was polite/professional the entire time. The hotel was very clean and quiet the entire time I was there. There was no issue with places to park and was able to get a spot right in front of the door. I did not get a chance to stop by the bar, but will check it our next time I'm there. I would have no problem visiting this location again in the future.

Pool area too hot. On the first floor. Everything good.

Couldn't sleep at night. The guest in the room beside us stayed up all night talking so loud. Could hear their conversation word for word while I was trying to sleep. It would have been fine but 2 nights in a row.

We attended for our annual convention. The facilities are top notch, service is great! Couldn't ask for more!

Clean, nice, and convenient.

The location is convenient because it is close to the interstate and near restaurants and stores. The room was clean and the shower had great water pressure. One of the beds didn't have a comforter on it when we arrived but they brought us one when we requested it.

Clean, nice room. Staff was pleasant. Easy acres to I24, and many nearby conveniences, such as, Walmart, Target, a mall, and restaurants.

I stayed on the 3rd floor the desk people up front were very nice showers and bathroom were not dirty. Only thing I disliked was the construction downstairs it just made the place look weird. I feel like they have had construction going for a year it seems.

The location of this hotel was apparently in a prime area because traffic was atrocious. The staff was friendly enough however the room was lacking. Compared to other DoubleTree locations I have stayed in, this room felt much smaller. The noise level outside of our room affected my sleep, as there were young children and their parents yelling down the hallway well past midnight. I had breakfast coupons for the restaurant and, even though it was free, I was not impressed with the breakfast offerings. We arrived to eat almost 2 hours before breakfast ended however there were very few eggs or biscuits and the staff clearly had no plans to make more. Other than those 2 items the only hot items available were dry homestyle potatoes, sausage, and bacon. When staying at other DT locations the breakfast had many more options (waffle station, omelettes, etc. ). Overall the room and hotel were clean and the staff friendly, however I probably would not stay at this location again.

Hotel staff seems friendly. The hotel is in a good location. As expected the restaurant and bar is on the pricy side. Rooms were ok but weirdly shapped.

Great service by the employees made it a great stay. The room was very clean and the restaurant downstairs even started open a little late for us.

Older hotel, which is usually fine, but it wasn't clean at all. Spider webs in entry hall. Room was big, but AC didn't work very well, hair in the tub, dirty bathroom floor. Staff WA nice though.

From the moment I walked in, the staff was polite. The lady at the front desk was most professional. The several employees I encountered in my 3-night stay were all very courteous, helpful, and friendly. The room was comfortable and clean. I was very pleased… VERY! I will stay there again, as I enjoy visiting Nashville. DOUBLETREE COOKIES DID NOT DISAPPOINT! The location was prime — — — everything I could've wanted was in view, such as: (walking distance Pier One, Dollar Tree, Target, Panera Bread, iHop, Then, Red Lobster and across the street more stores in the mall… 1 minute in one direction, Wal-Mart, McDonald's KFC, etc about a minute in the opposite direction… then the Interstate is right there, too! A GREAT LOCATION… A GREAT HOTEL… A GREAT TRIP!

Friendly staff. The lobby and other open areas were clean and well kept. The room was mostly clean except one pillow looked like it may have been used as a dog bed. All the pillows are uncomfortable — I usually travel with my own, but forgot it this time. The location is excellent — close to restaurants, stores, and quick access to other parts of the city. Speaking of dogs, as I'm typing this, two dogs just arrived across the hall. I'm pretty sure they think they are serenading the floor with their duet of wines and howls. I'd be happy that they allow pets of I had brought mine, but I wish these yippy beasts would have found another place to spend the night! Anyhow, I always stay here when I'm in town and I would recommend you do as well (maybe just not tonight).

Room and location of hotel are nice but staff is unhelpful and unfriendly. We are halfway through our trip and so far: our reservation was wrong upon arrival, our keys don't work to open our room door, the desk guy doesn't care, the engineer came to help then realized he didn't "have his tools". We are just waiting to get into our room… no one is helping. Won't be staying here again which is too bad because room and cost are good.

You wouldn't believe it if I told you! Filthy room and even after talking to two employees… no toilet paper and you don't complete my room. Wtf.

I have bad and good news for this place. First the bad, when we check into our room we found out that the floor under the ac was wet, so they try to to fix it but could not. Now for the good. They ask if we would like to move to other room but by this time we had everything unpack. So they took the price of the room from $96 a night to $45 with free food. I understand things happen, but the fact that they work with us the make it right. When we come back in town we know where to stay.

I am a longtime road warrior, having stayed all over the country, and I can say that this was one of the worst hotels I have ever experienced. The room was not ready when we arrived at 6 p. M. It was dirty and the AC didn't work. Do not stop here, drive onto Nashville.

What sandra doesent know is that the top floor isnt locked in the elevators so you can push 6 and it will go there.

Was just here and a very nice experience. The only thing I would have changed would have been the cookies. Because of an allergy to nuts I could not have them. I would suggest they have cookies that are nut free because of many people have allergies to them.

The phone in the room was not working. They gave a free movie BUT they charge me for that $48.65, that was holded in my credicard for 72 hours. The fitness head-set plug was not working, so I could not hear the TV even after I request the repair. Anyway. TERRIBLE experience. I am happy to be in home after 5 days in this TERRIBLE hotel. One thing was ok. THE warm pool.

This place is a hidden gem in Murfreesboro. Great rates, excellent service and delicious cookies make this hotel one of the best in the land.

By far the best service I've had at a hotel in a long time. The staff were all very kind. I had an amazing room. The building seems older but the room I was in on the 4th floor was updated, modern, comfortable, and super clean.
