I just spoke with the general manager at the sleep inn. I called and asked for her email address to send the formal complaint. To her about her hotel. Her front desk agent made a reservation for us last week. For three days for hurricane Florence 2018. The front desk agent made the reservation for us. And we where happy because we had stayed their before. And we enjoyed the hotel nice snd clean. My husband cane home yesterday after work. Let me know that we wouldn’t be able to stay because. The new rule was u couldn’t stay at the hotel if you where a local. You had to live 30 miles from the hotel to stay at the property. This was after all the rooms where sold out due to the hurricane. I called and spoke with the hotel last night. They couldn’t even find the hotel reservation at first. Then my husband was told we couldn’t stay because we weren’t 30 miles from the hotel. For a hurricane they should made an exception to the rule. Then I called today and the so called general manager was very rude. She doesn’t belong in the hotel business as a manager. She called me a women twice after I told her I was a man. She didn’t listen to anything I was saying. Talking over me is a very unprofessional as a general manager. I explained to her what I was unhappy about. She said we should have called you and cancel the reservation but we didn’t. Like I told her we would never stay with choice again. If that’s how they treat their guest and we choice menbers as well. She could have contacted another choice property for us. To make sure we would have a hotel during the hurricane Florence 2018. But she didn’t we had to find our own hotel. I hope choice management sees this and the owners of the property. And the management company as well that runs the property. She never once said I am sorry never once. Hope one day she gets treated the same way at a hotel. See how she feels I bet her family or friends. Stay at the hotel. I am asking everyone to never stay at this hotel every again. Terrible general manager and rude front desk staff. When you start lie to your customers you have serious problems. Specially when you start talking over your customers. Everyone if you stay here you will have to deal with her.
